The smoothing thin plate spline (STPS) interpolation using the penalty function method according to the optimization theory is presented to deal with transient heat conduction problems. The smooth conditions of the shape functions and derivatives can be satisfied so that the distortions hardly occur. Local weak forms are developed using the weighted residual method locally from the partial differential equations of the transient heat conduction. Here the Heaviside step function is used as the test function in each sub-domain to avoid the need for a domain integral. Essential boundary conditions can be implemented like the finite element method (FEM) as the shape functions possess the Kronecker delta property. The traditional two-point difference method is selected for the time discretization scheme. Three selected numerical examples are presented in this paper to demonstrate the availability and accuracy of the present approach comparing with the traditional thin plate spline (TPS) radial basis functions.  相似文献

We show that the so-called hidden potential symmetries considered in a recent paper [M.L. Gandarias, New potential symmetries for some evolution equations, Physica A 387 (2008) 2234-2242] are ordinary potential symmetries that can be obtained using the method introduced by Bluman and collaborators [G.W. Bluman, S. Kumei, Symmetries and Differential Equations, Springer, New York, 1989; G.W. Bluman, G.J. Reid, S. Kumei, New classes of symmetries for partial differential equations, J. Math. Phys. 29 (1988) 806-811]. In fact, these are simplest potential symmetries associated with potential systems which are constructed with single conservation laws having no constant characteristics. Furthermore we classify the conservation laws for classes of porous medium equations, and then using the corresponding conserved (potential) systems we search for potential symmetries. This is the approach one needs to adopt in order to determine the complete list of potential symmetries. The provenance of potential symmetries is explained for the porous medium equations by using potential equivalence transformations. Point and potential equivalence transformations are also applied to deriving new results on potential symmetries and corresponding invariant solutions from known ones. In particular, in this way the potential systems, potential conservation laws and potential symmetries of linearizable equations from the classes of differential equations under consideration are exhaustively described. Infinite series of infinite-dimensional algebras of potential symmetries are constructed for such equations.  相似文献

Under investigation in this work is the invariance properties of the time-fractional generalized Sawada–Kotera equation, which can describe motion of long waves in shallow water under gravity and in a one-dimensional nonlinear lattice. With the help of the Lie symmetry analysis method of fractional differential equations, we strictly derive the vector fields and symmetry reductions of the equation. Furthermore, based on the power series theory, an effective method is presented to succinctly construct its analytical solutions. Finally, using the new conservation theorem, the conservation laws of the equation are well constructed with a detailed derivation.  相似文献

In this paper, the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is applied to solve the energy equation of a transient conduction-radiation heat transfer problem in a two-dimensional cylindrical enclosure filled with an emitting, absorbing and scattering media. The control volume finite element method (CVFEM) is used to obtain the radiative information. To demonstrate the workability of the LBM in conjunction with the CVFEM to conduction-radiation problems in cylindrical media, the energy equation of the same problem is also solved using the finite difference method (FDM). The effects of different parameters, such as the grid size, the scattering albedo, the extinction coefficient and the conduction-radiation parameter on temperature distribution within the medium are studied. Results of the present work are compared with those available in the literature. LBM-CVFEM results are also compared with those given by the FDM-CVFEM. In all cases, good agreement has been obtained.  相似文献

The Noether conserved quantities and the Lie point symmetries for difference nonholonomic Hamiltonian systems in irregular lattices are studied. The generalized Hamiltonian equations of the systems are given on the basis of the transformation operators in the space of discrete Hamiltonians. The Lie transformations acting on the lattice, as well as the equations and the determining equations of the Lie symmetries are obtained for the nonholonomic Hamiltonian systems. The discrete analogue of the Noether conserved quantity is constructed by using the Lie point symmetries. An example is discussed to illustrate the results.  相似文献

Transient heat transfer through a longitudinal fin of various profiles is studied. The thermal conductivity and heat transfer coefficients are assumed to be temperature dependent. The resulting partial differential equation is highly nonlinear. Classical Lie point symmetry methods are employed and some reductions are performed. Since the governing boundary value problem is not invariant under any Lie point symmetry, we solve the original partial differential equation numerically. The effects of realistic fin parameters such as the thermogeometric fin parameter and the exponent of the heat transfer coefficient on the temperature distribution are studied.  相似文献

We introduce a multidimensional peridynamic formulation for transient heat-transfer. The model does not contain spatial derivatives and uses instead an integral over a region around a material point. By construction, the formulation converges to the classical heat transfer equations in the limit of the horizon (the nonlocal region around a point) going to zero. The new model, however, is suitable for modeling, for example, heat flow in bodies with evolving discontinuities such as growing insulated cracks. We introduce the peridynamic heat flux which exists even at sharp corners or when the isotherms are not smooth surfaces. The peridynamic heat flux coincides with the classical one in simple cases and, in general, it converges to it in the limit of the peridynamic horizon going to zero. We solve test problems and compare results with analytical solutions of the classical model or with other numerical solutions. Convergence to the classical solutions is seen in the limit of the horizon going to zero. We then solve the problem of transient heat flow in a plate in which insulated cracks grow and intersect thus changing the heat flow patterns. We also model heat transfer in a fiber-reinforced composite and observe transient but steep thermal gradients at the interfaces between the highly conductive fibers and the low conductivity matrix. Such thermal gradients can lead to delamination cracks in composites from thermal fatigue. The formulation may be used to, for example, evaluate effective thermal conductivities in bodies with an evolving distribution of insulating or permeable, possibly intersecting, cracks of arbitrary shapes.  相似文献

The symmetries of equations of motion for probe bodies (projective symmetries) and the corresponding laws of conservation in the K-spaces determined by the gravitational fields of type (3) are studied. The results define all mechanical and field laws of conservation in the foregoing gravitational fields resulting from projective symmetries, in particular, from isometries and homotheties. Two nonlocal recursion operators are given, which yield explicit formulas for infinite hierarchies of symmetry generators and conservation laws for the two-dimensional Korteweg-de Vries equation. 为了解决传统光滑粒子动力学(SPH)方法求解三维变系数瞬态热传导方程时出现的精度低、稳定性差和计算效率低的问题,本文首先基于Taylor展开思想拓展一阶对称SPH方法到三维热传导问题的模拟,其次引入稳定化处理的迎风思想,最后基于相邻粒子标记和MPI并行技术,结合边界处理方法得到一种能够准确、高效地求解三维变系数瞬态热传导问题的修正并行SPH方法.通过对带有Direclet和Newmann边界条件的常/变系数三维热传导方程进行模拟,并与解析解进行对比,对提出的方法的精度、收敛性及计算效率进行了分析;随后,运用提出的修正并行SPH方法对三维功能梯度材料中温度变化进行了模拟预测,并与其他数值结果做对比,准确地展现了功能梯度材料中温度变化过程.  相似文献

A multidimensional, finite element analysis (FEA) for the freezing, holding, rewarming and heating processes of biological tissues during the cryosurgery process of the new Combined Cryosurgery/Hyperthermia System is presented to theoretically test its validity. The tissues are treated as nonideal materials freezing over a temperature range, and the thermophysical properties of which are temperature dependent. The enthalpy method is applied to solve the highly nonlinear problem. It was found that when the same boundary condition and the same target tissue presented, the novel Cryosurgery/Hyperthermia System could supply the target tissue an approximative cooling rate, a much lower minimal temperature, a much greater warming rate, and a much greater thermal gradients compared with that of the simplified Endocare system. The numerical simulation indicates that the novel combined cryosurgery and hyperthermia system can provide an excellent curative effect in the corresponding cryotherapy. And the most attractive feature of this FEA framework is that it can be easily mastered by the surgeon without in-depth theory of heat transfer to analyze the cryosurgery process beforehand due to the friendly GUI (graphical user interface) of Ansys software.  相似文献

利用无网格有限点法求带有源参数的一维热传导反问题,推导了相应的离散方程.与其他基于网格的方法相比,有限点法采用移动最小二乘法构造形函数,只需要节点信息,不需要划分网格,用配点法离散求解方程,可以直接施加边界条件,不需要在区域内部求积分,减小了计算量.用有限点法求解热传导反问题具有数值实现简单、计算量小、可以任意布置节点等优点.最后通过算例验证了该方法的有效性.  相似文献

In this paper, the complex variable reproducing kernel particle (CVRKP) method and the finite element (FE) method are combined as the CVRKP-FE method to solve transient heat conduction problems. The CVRKP-FE method not only conveniently imposes the essential boundary conditions, but also exploits the advantages of the individual methods while avoiding their disadvantages, then the computational efficiency is higher. A hybrid approximation function is applied to combine the CVRKP method with the FE method, and the traditional difference method for two-point boundary value problems is selected as the time discretization scheme. The corresponding formulations of the CVRKP-FE method are presented in detail. Several selected numerical examples of the transient heat conduction problems are presented to illustrate the performance of the CVRKP-FE method.  相似文献

The current study addresses the mathematical modeling aspects of coupled conductive and radiative heat transfer in the presence of absorbing, emitting and isotropic scattering gray medium within two-dimensional square enclosure. A blended method where the concepts of modified differential approximation employed by combining discrete ordinate method and spherical harmonics method, has been developed for modeling the radiative transport equation. The gray participating medium is bounded by isothermal walls of two-dimensional enclosure which are considered to be opaque, diffuse and gray. The effect of various influencing parameters i.e., radiation-conduction parameter, surface emissivity, single scattering albedo and optical thickness has been illustrated.
