Thickness mode resonances in commercial piezoelectric ceramics have been characterised as a function of frequency by two methods. The first is based on a fit on the electrical impedance for the fundamental and the overtones. This method has been applied to a large number of PZT ceramic samples and frequency dependence for all the parameters is investigated, in particular for the piezoelectric coefficient e33. The second is based on the measurement of the mechanical displacement at the centre of the surface of a PZT ceramic disk. With a modified KLM scheme, this displacement is modelled. The dielectric, elastic and piezoelectric parameters are extracted and compared for the fundamental and the third overtone. The results are found to be in good agreement.  相似文献

Cement-based piezoelectric composites have attracted great attention recently due to their promising applications as sensors in smart structures. Lead zirconate titanate (PZT) and Portland cement (PC) composite were fabricated using 60% of PZT by volume. Scanning Electron Microscope and piezoresponse force microscope were used to investigate the morphology and domain configurations at the interfacial zone of PZT-Portland cement composites. Angular PZT ceramic grains were found to bind well with the cement matrix. The submicro-scale domains were clearly observed by piezoresponse force microscope at the interfacial regions between the piezoelectric PZT phase and Portland cement phase, and are clearer than the images obtained for pure PZT. This is thought to be due to the applied internal stress of cement to the PZT ceramic particle which resulted to clearer images.  相似文献

A method for obtaining PZT/PZT ceramic piezocomposites is developed. Samples of piezocomposites with a volume fraction of components from 0 to 100% are prepared and investigated. Various types of PZT type piezoceramics powders and milled PZT piezoceramics particles, as well as presintered piezoceramic granules, are used as matrix and filling components, respectively. Sets of complex elastic, dielectric, and piezoelectric parameters of piezocomposites are measured. The microstructure of the obtained ceramic composites is investigated.  相似文献

The frequency spectra of resonant vibration of a PZT4 piezoelectric plate was observed, for width-to-thickness ratios ranging from 0·3 to 4·0. The results give useful information for the design of line arrays applicable, for example, to medical diagnostic sonars. The effect of backing and impedance matching on PZT4 ceramic slabs was also studied experimentally.  相似文献

1-3压电复合材料的压电、介电及铁电性能要远远优于0-3压电复合材料.在制备传统的0-3复合材料过程中引入电泳技术,使得压电颗粒在聚合物基体中取向排列,制备得到伪1-3复合材料.实验结果表明:在制备PZT/环氧树脂0-3复合压电材料固化过程中,采用500 V/mm,4 kHz的电场对其进行电泳辅助取向,可使得颗粒呈现珍珠串状排列,得到伪1-3复合材料;其压电、介电、铁电性能均比原来的0-3复合材料有显著的提高.电泳辅助制备技术用于制备伪1-3复合压电材料具有操作简单、成本低廉、压电、介电、铁电性能显著提高等优点,在智能传感领域具有很好的实际应用前景.  相似文献

本文对均匀光纤光栅和线性啁啾光纤光栅的双折射效应分别进行了实验研究. 利用压电陶瓷的压电效应实施对均匀光纤光栅和线性啁啾光纤光栅的侧向挤压, 使之产生双折射, 通过改变施加在压电陶瓷上的电压值, 可以实现对光纤光栅双折射大小的控制. 侧向挤压线性啁啾光纤光栅可以补偿光纤通信系统中的偏振模色散.  相似文献

Piezoelectric textured ceramics obtained by homo-template grain growth (HTGG) were recently demonstrated. A simple model with several assumptions has been used to calculate effective parameters of these new materials. Different connectivities have been simulated to show that spatial arrangements between the considered phases have little influence on the effective parameters, even through the 3-0 connectivity delivers the highest electromechanical thickness factor. A transducer based on a textured ceramic sample has been fabricated and characterised to show the efficiency of these piezoelectric materials. Finally, in a single element transducer configuration, simulation shows an improvement of 2 dB sensitivity for a transducer made with textured ceramic in comparison with a similar transducer design based on standard soft PZT (at equivalent bandwidths).  相似文献

High resolution x-ray powder diffraction measurements on poled PbZr1-xTixO3 (PZT) ceramic samples close to the rhombohedral-tetragonal phase boundary (the so-called morphotropic phase boundary) have shown that for both rhombohedral and tetragonal compositions the piezoelectric elongation of the unit cell does not occur along the polar directions but along those directions associated with the monoclinic distortion. This work provides the first direct evidence for the origin of the very high piezoelectricity in PZT.  相似文献

This paper presents a new functional material for smart structure applications. Piezoelectric PZT/cement 1-3 composites that have good compatibility with civil engineering structural materials have been studied. The composites with different volume fractions of PZT ranging from 0.25 to 0.77 were fabricated by the dice-and-fill method. It was found that the 1-3 composites have good piezoelectric properties that agreed quite well with theoretical modeling. The thickness electromechanical coupling coefficient could reach 0.55 in the composite with a ceramic volume fraction of 0.25. UV laser (=355 nm) ablation of piezoelectric lead zirconate titanate (PZT) ceramics in air has been investigated under different laser parameters. It has been found that there is a critical pulse number (N=750). When the pulse number is smaller than the critical value, the ablation rate decreases with increasing pulse number. Beyond the critical value, the ablation rate becomes constant. The ablation rate and concentrations of O, Zr and Ti on the ablated surface increase with the laser fluence, while the Pb concentration decreases due to the selective evaporation of PbO. The loss of the Pb results in the formation of a metastable pyrochlore phase. ZrO2 was detected by XPS in the ablated zone. Also, the concentrations of the pyrochlore phase and ZrO2 increase with increasing laser fluence. These results clearly indicate that the chemical composition and phase structure in the ablated zone strongly depend on the laser fluence. The piezoelectric properties of the cut PZT ceramic samples completely disappear due to the loss of the Pb and the existence of the pyrochlore phase. After these samples were annealed at 1150 °C for 1 h in a PbO-controlled atmosphere, their phase structure and piezoelectric properties were recovered again. Finally, 1–3 and concentric-ring 2–2 PZT/epoxy composites were fabricated by UV laser micromachining and their thickness modes were measured by impedance spectrum analysis and a d33 meter.  采用一级气体炮加载装置,利用加窗VISAR技术,对极化和未极化两种状态的PZT 95/5铁电陶瓷进行了逆向冲击实验,在0.52~3.8 GPa冲击压力范围内,得到了PZT 95/5铁电陶瓷两种状态的σ-u关系。对比文献已有实验数据显示,PZT 95/5铁电陶瓷的Hugoniot曲线与初始密度值密切相关,高密度的PZT 95/5铁电陶瓷在0~3.0 GPa压力范围内的σ-u关系接近线弹性,较低压力下不同极化状态的Hugoniot数据表明,PZT 95/5铁电陶瓷发生了冲击相变。  相似文献

利用介电谐振谱分析了聚丙烯蜂窝状原生膜(PPCellular,PQ50型)的力学及介电参数,测得其压电系数d33约为18pC/N.经合理的压力膨化工艺处理后,其d33可增加至367pC/N,比久负盛名的铁电聚合物聚偏氟乙烯(PVDF)的d33高20倍以上,也高于压电陶瓷锆钛酸铅(PZT)的相应值.结合扫描电镜照片及根据PP蜂窝膜压电理论模型分析了这类空间电荷型非极性孔洞薄膜驻极体呈现高压电系数的结构和物理根源. 关键词: 聚丙烯蜂窝膜 压电性 介电谐振 压力膨化处理  相似文献

Solidly mounted integrated transducers with a Bragg cell inserted between the piezoelectric film and the substrate are investigated for high frequency ultrasonic applications. A numerically stable recursive one dimensional transmission/reflection model was used to analyze the behavior of the periodic structure. This theoretical analysis includes the study of the influence of the acoustic properties of the constitutive layer, the effect of the number of cells and their arrangement. A 35 MHz integrated transducer consisting in a PZT ceramic laid down on a Au/PZT Bragg cell deposited on a porous substrate was fabricated and characterized. Both theoretical and experimental results highlight the interest of using a periodic structure for high frequency ultrasonic applications.  相似文献

Lead-free piezoelectric 0.90(Bi1/2Na1/2)TiO3-0.05(Bi1/2K1/2)TiO3-0.05BaTiO3 ceramics(abbreviated as BNKBT-5) rings were fabricated using a conventional mixed oxide method. The ceramics have a piezoelectric constant d33=168 pC/N, electromechanical coupling factors kp=0.313 and kt=0.487. The BNKBT lead-free ceramic rings were used as the transduction elements in a compressive type accelerometer and its performance compared with a lead zirconate titanate (PZT) APC 840 ceramic accelerometer with similar structure. The lead-free accelerometer shows good performance and has a broader frequency response compared to the lead-based PZT accelerometer. PACS 77.22.Ej; 77.84.-s; 85.50.-n  相似文献

The introduction of porosity into ferroelectric ceramics has been of great interest in recent years. In particular, studies of porous lead-zirconate-titanate ceramic (PZT) have been made. In the research reported, samples of Ferroperm Pz27 with porosities of 20, 25 and 30% were studied. Very complete measurements were made of all of the physical properties relevant for ferroelectric applications including thermal conductivity and diffusivity, heat capacity, dielectric, pyroelectric, piezoelectric and elastic properties. Scanning electron micrographs indicated a change from 3-0 to 3-3 connectivity with increasing porosity. Although most of the physical properties are degraded by the presence of porosity, both piezoelectric and pyroelectric figures-of-merit are improved because of the markedly reduced relative permittivity. Porous ferroelectric ceramics are very promising materials for a number of applications.  相似文献

The electrophysical properties of ceramic–crystal matrix composites are studied. Piezoelectrically active PZT/LiNbO3 ceramic matrix composites with LiNbO3 concentrations of 0–20 vol % are fabricated. Complex elastic, dielectric, and piezoelectric parameters are measured, and the microstructural characteristics of the obtained samples are studied experimentally. It is found that the extreme electrophysical properties of ceramic–crystal matrix composites depend on the properties and structure of the piezoceramic matrix and crystalline filler, and on the matrix microporosity produced during sintering. The electrophysical parameters of ceramic–crystal matrix composites as functions of crystalline filler content are established through the competing microporosity growth effects of the ceramic matrix and the increase in crystalline filler content.  相似文献
