[reaction: see text] Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling of benzylic phosphates with arylboronic acids was investigated. Optimum conditions employed the simple catalytic system of palladium(II) acetate (1 mol %) and triphenylphosphine (4 mol %) with either potassium phosphate or potassium carbonate as the base and toluene as the solvent at 90 degrees C. Using the developed conditions, a series of structurally diverse diarylmethanes were prepared.  相似文献

The cross-coupling of benzylic carbonates with arylboronic acids gave the corresponding diarylmethanes in high yields by use of the palladium catalyst generated in situ from [Pd(eta(3)-C(3)H(5))Cl](2) and 1,5-bis(diphenylphosphino)pentane (DPPPent). The iron-catalyzed heterocyclizations from 2-nitroanilines and benzylic alcohols to form benzimidazoles using hydrogen transfer reaction were investigated in this study. In the presence of dppf in toluene at 150 °C, various benzimidazoles were obtained in moderate to good yields within 24 h. The reaction was proposed to proceed via a cascade of alcohol oxidation, nitro reduction, condensation, and dehydrogenation.  相似文献

A simple catalyst precursor prepared in situ from palladium acetate and triphenylphosphine shows high activity for the Suzuki cross-coupling reaction of benzylic bromides and chlorides with aryl boronic acids. The reaction can be carried out at low catalyst loading (0.002-1 mol%) and under mild conditions (room temperature to 80 °C) furnishing diarylmethane derivatives in high yields (86-99%).  相似文献

A general and convenient protocol for the electrophilic borylation of aryl Grignard reagents prepared from arylbromides by direct insertion of magnesium in the presence of LiCl or by Mg/Br exchange with (i)PrMgCl·LiCl has been developed. Various primary alcohols, particularly benzylic alcohols, could be converted into the corresponding aromatic amides in good yields in a one-pot manner by treatment with molecular iodine in aq. NH3, followed by reaction with ∼30% aq H2O2. Similarly, various benzylic halides could be also converted into the corresponding aromatic amides in good yields in a one-pot manner by treatment with molecular iodine in aq NH3, followed by reaction with ∼30% aq H2O2. The present reactions involve the metal-free one-pot oxidative conversion of benzylic alcohols and benzylic halides into the corresponding aromatic amides, respectively.  相似文献

Diaryliodonium salts have recently received considerable attention as mild arylation reagents in organic synthesis. This paper describes a regiospecific, sequential one-pot synthesis of symmetrical and unsymmetrical diaryliodonium tetrafluoroborates, which are the most popular salts in metal-catalyzed arylations. The protocol is fast and high-yielding and has a large substrate scope. Furthermore, the corresponding diaryliodonium triflates can conveniently be obtained via an in situ anion exchange.  相似文献

A new and highly efficient method for the C–N bond formation using molecular iodine-catalyzed N-alkylation reaction of tosylhydrazones with benzylic/benzhydryl alcohols at room temperature in methylene chloride is described. A variety of tosylhydrazones reacted readily with various substituted benzylic alcohols in presence of 20 mol % iodine under mild reaction conditions to produce the corresponding biologically active N-alkylated compounds in good to excellent yields.  相似文献

A combination of copper chloride, triethyl phosphite, and tetrabutylammonium iodide is a very efficient catalytic system for the synthesis of polyfunctionalized diarylmethanes, using the cross-coupling reaction of arylmagnesium halides with benzylic phosphates. The antibiotic Trimethoprim has been prepared using this Cu(I)-catalyzed cross-coupling in 52% overall yield (four steps).  相似文献

A palladium/NHC-catalyzed tandem benzylic oxidation/oxidative esterification of benzylic alcohols with phenols to access aryl benzoate derivatives is described. The procedure tolerates a series of functional groups, such as methoxy, nitro, cyano, chloro, fluoro and bromo groups. Electron-rich aromatic and heteroaromatic rings are functionalized directly with a variety of benzylic alcohols under mild conditions. The reaction is catalyzed by commercially available pentafluorophenylboronic acid, which is stable under ambient conditions and recoverable. The reaction itself is highly atom economical and produces water as the only byproduct. A Friedel-Crafts mechanism is proposed.  相似文献

Benzyl phosphonate esters often serve as reagents in Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons reactions. In most cases, they can be prepared from benzylic alcohols via formation of the corresponding halide followed by an Arbuzov reaction. To identify a more direct synthesis of phosphonate esters, we have developed a one-flask procedure for conversion of benzylic and allylic alcohols to the corresponding phosphonates through treatment with triethyl phosphite and ZnI(2).  相似文献
