A new series of different nuclearity silver(I) complexes with a variety of tetracyano pendant-armed hexaazamacrocyclic ligands containing pyridine rings (Ln) has been prepared starting from the nitrate and perchlorate Ag(I) salts in acetonitrile solutions. The ligands and complexes were characterized by microanalysis, conductivity measurements, IR, Raman, electronic absorption and emission spectroscopy, and L-SIMS spectrometry. (1)H NMR titrations were employed to investigate silver complexation by ligands L3 and L.(4) The compounds [Ag2L2(NO3)2] (2), ([Ag2L2](ClO4)2.2CH3CN)(infinity) (4), [AgL3](ClO(4)).CH3CN (5), and [Ag4(L4)2(NO3)2](NO3)2.4CH3CN.2H2O (7) were also characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The complexes have different nuclearities. Complex 2 is dinuclear with an {AgN3O2} core and a significant intermetallic interaction, whereas complex 4 has a polymeric structure formed by dinuclear distorted {AgN4} units joined by nitrile pendant arms. Compound 5 is mononuclear with a distorted {AgN2} linear geometry, and complex 7 consists of discrete units of a tetranuclear array of silver atoms with {AgN3O} and {AgN4} cores in distorted square planar environments. Complexes 2 and 4 were found to be fluorescent in the solid state at room temperature because of the Ag-Ag interactions. 相似文献

The reaction of silver acetate with a phosphinothiosemicarbazone ligand, HLPPh, yielded the tetranuclear silver compound [Ag 4(LPPh) 4].2MeOH ( 1), which after recrystallization results in the cocrystallization of two different silver clusters, [Ag 4(LPPh) 4] (a)[Ag 4(LPPh) 4] (b).8MeOH ( 2). The factors involved in the assembly of tetranuclear compounds derived from thiosemicarbazone ligands and the structural differences between the two clusters are analyzed herein. Additionally, HLPPh and complex 1 exhibit photoluminescence in solution at room temperature. 相似文献

The first Re(I)-dipyrrinato complexes are reported. Complexes with the general formulas fac-[ReL(CO)(3)Cl](-), fac-[ReL(CO)(3)PR(3)], and [ReL(CO)(2)(PR(3))(PR'(3))] have been prepared, where L is one of a series of meso-aryl dipyrrinato ligands. Access to these complexes proceeds via the reaction of [Re(CO)(5)Cl] with the dipyrrin (LH) to produce fac-[ReL(CO)(3)Cl](-). A subsequent reaction with PR(3) (R = phenyl, butyl) leads to displacement of the chloride ligand to generate fac-[ReL(CO)(3)PR(3)], and further reaction with PR'(3) leads to the displacement of the CO ligand trans to the first PR(3) ligand to give trans(P), cis(C)-[ReL(CO)(2)(PR(3))(PR'(3))]. The structures of the complexes were determined in the solid state by X-ray crystallography and in solution by (1)H NMR spectroscopy. Electronic absorption spectroscopy reveals a prominent band in the visible region at relatively low energy (472-491 nm) for all complexes, which is assigned as a π-π* transition of the dipyrrin chromophore. Weak emission (λ(ex) = 485 nm, quantum yields <0.01) was observed for [ReL(CO)(3)Cl](-) and [ReL(CO)(3)PR(3)] complexes, but no emission was generally evident from the [ReL(CO)(2)(PR(3))(PR'(3))] complexes. On the basis of the large Stokes shift (~6000 cm(-1)), the emission is ascribed to phosphorescence from a triplet excited state. The emission intensity is sensitive to dissolved oxygen and methyl viologen; a Stern-Volmer plot in the latter case gave a straight line. Photochemical ligand substitution reactions of [ReL(CO)(3)PR(3)] were induced by excitation with a 355 nm laser in acetonitrile. [ReL(CO)(2)(PR(3))(CH(3)CN)] is formed as a putative intermediate, which reacts thermally with added PR'(3) to produce [ReL(CO)(2)(PR(3))(PR'(3))] complexes. 相似文献

Resorcinarene tetraphosphinite ligands, P4, react with silver(I) trifluoroacetate or silver(I) triflate, AgX, to give the corresponding [Ag4X4(P4)] complexes. The resorcinarene skeleton in these complexes adopts a boat conformation with the silver(I) phosphinite units on the horizontal, rather than the upright, arene units of the resorcinarene. The [Ag4X4(P4)] complexes react with free P4 ligand to yield the [Ag2X2(P4)] or [AgX(P4)] complexes, which are characterized in solution by NMR spectroscopy to have a conformation opposite to that of the [Ag4X4(P4)] complexes; the silver(I) phosphinite groups are on the upright arene rings of the resorcinarene "boat" instead of the horizontal arene units. There is an easy equilibrium between these complexes. When X = triflate, the [Ag4X4(P4)] complexes disproportionate and add aqua ligands during slow crystallization to give "capsule complexes", which are characterized crystallographically as [Ag10(O3SCF3)10(OH2)6(P4)2], [Ag10(O3SCF3)6(OH2)8(P4)2][O3SCF3]4, or [Ag13(O3SCF3)13(OH2)7(P4)2] depending on the resorcinarene tetraphosphinite ligand P4 used. These unusual capsule complexes are formed by the tail-to-tail self-assembly of pairs of [Ag4(P4)]4+ units linked by additional silver ions that bind to the phenyl substituents of one resorcinarene through {Ag(eta2-C6H5)}+ binding and to the bridging triflate ligands, aqua ligands, or both of the other resorcinarene unit. 相似文献

With the rich spectroscopic and luminescence properties associated with aurophilic Au?Au interactions, gold(I) complexes have provided an excellent platform for the design of luminescent chemosensors. This review concentrates on our recent exploration of luminescent gold(I) complexes in host–guest chemistry. Through the judicious design and choice of the functional receptor groups, specific chemosensors for cations and/or anions have been obtained. Utilization of sensing mechanisms based on the on–off switching of Au?Au interactions and photoinduced electron transfer (PET) has been successfully demonstrated. The two-coordinate nature of gold(I) complexes has also been utilized for the design of ditopic receptors through connecting both cation- and anion-binding sites within a single molecule. 相似文献

Silver(I) and copper(I) halide derivatives of several tetrakis(diphenylphosphinito)resorcinarene ligands are reported. The complexes [resorcinarene(O(2)CR)(4)(OPPh(2))(4)(M(5)X(5))], with resorcinarene = (PhCH(2)CH(2)CHC(6)H(2))(4), R = C(6)H(11), 4-C(6)H(4)Me, C(4)H(3)S, OCH(2)CCH, or OCH(2)Ph, M = Ag, X = Cl, Br, or I, M = Cu, and X = Cl or I, contain a crownlike [P(4)M(5)X(5)] metal halide cluster. These crown clusters were found to be dynamic in solution, as studied by variable-temperature NMR, and easily fragment to give the corresponding complexes containing [P(4)M(4)X(5)](-) and [P(4)M(2)(micro-X)](+) units. Reaction of pentasilver crown clusters with triflic acid gave the corresponding disilver complexes [resorcinarene(O(2)CR)(4)(OPPh(2))(4)]Ag(2)(micro-Cl)]]CF(3)SO(3). Thus, these resorcinarene-based ligands act as a platform for the easy and reversible assembly of copper(I) and silver(I) clusters with novel structures. 相似文献

The compounds Ag(CN)(NH(3)) and Ag(Br)(NH(3)) are remarkable in that they form solids containing the simple molecular units NC-Ag-NH(3) and Br-Ag-NH(3), rather than extended solids, and are the first examples of simple linear asymmetric complexes of silver(I). 相似文献

Summary Novel mixed-ligand complexes of Ag1 and Au1 containing triphenylphosphine (TPP) and heterocyclic thiones, of general formula [TPP–M–L]Cl and [(TPP)2–M–L]Cl, where L=imidazolidine-2-thione (Imt), 1,3-diazinine-2-thione (Diaz) or N-isopropylimidazolidine-2-thione (iPrImt) have been prepared. The spectroscopic data are consistent with S-donation in all complexes. The magnitude of high-field shift in carbon-13 n.m.r. of the thioureide carbon on complexation is interpreted in terms of coordination geometry around the metal atoms. The mixed-ligand complexes are structurally similar to some of the commonly used antiarthritic Au1 drugs and are thus potentially useful in chemotherapy. 相似文献

[RhCl(PR3)3] (R = Ph, Et) reacts with the potassium salt of 4-mercaptobenzoic acid to give a mixture of the monomeric and dimeric complexes, [Rh(SC6H4COOH)(PR3)3] and [{Rh(-SC6H4COOH)(PR3)2}2], respectively. With the labile PPh3 coligand, the dimer is the major product, while for the electron-richer coligand PEt3, the equilibrium is easily shifted to the monomer by the addition of excess PEt3. Phosphane dissociation and dimerization could be prevented by using the chelating coligand PPh(C2H4PPh2)2. [{Rh(-SC6H4COOH)(PPh3)2}2] (2b), [Rh(SC6H4COOH)(PEt3)3] (3a), and [Rh(SC6H4COOH){PPh(C2H4PPh2)2}] (4) were fully characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance and infrared spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis. The molecular structures of 2b and 4 were determined by X-ray structure analysis. In solution, the lability of the phosphane ligands leads to the decomposition of 2b. One of the decomposition products, namely, the mixed-valent complex [{RhIRhIII(-SC6H4COO)(-SC6H4COOH)(SC6H4COOH)(PPh3)3}2] (5), was characterized by X-ray structural analysis. The dinuclear rhodium(III) complex [{Rh(-SC6H4COO)(SC6H4COOH)(PEt3)2}2] (6) was shown to be a byproduct in the synthesis of 3a, and this demonstrates the reactivity of the rhodium(I) complexes toward oxidative addition. The structurally characterized complexes 2b, 4, 5, and 6 show hydrogen bonding of the free carboxyl groups. 相似文献

The neutral and cationic dinuclear gold(I) compounds [(μ-N-N)(AuR)(2)] (N-N = 2,2'-azobispyridine (2-abpy), 4,4'-azobispyridine (4-abpy); R = C(6)F(5), C(6)F(4)OC(12)H(25)-p, C(6)F(4)OCH(2)C(6)H(4)OC(12)H(25)-p) and [(μ-N-N){Au(PR(3))}(2)](CF(3)SO(3))(2) (N-N = 2-abpy, 4-abpy, R = Ph, Me) have been obtained by displacement of a weakly coordinated ligand by an azobispyridine ligand. The corresponding silver(I) dinuclear [(μ-2-abpy){Ag(CF(3)SO(3))(PPh(3))}(2)] and polynuclear [{Ag(CF(3)SO(3))(4-abpy)}(n)] compounds have been obtained. The molecular structures of [(μ-2-abpy){Au(PPh(3))}(2)](CF(3)SO(3))(2) and [(μ-4-abpy){Au(PMe(3))}(2)](CF(3)SO(3))(2) have been confirmed by X-ray diffraction studies and feature linear gold(I) centers coordinated by pyridyl groups, and non-coordinated azo groups. In contrast the X-ray structure of [(2-abpy){Ag(CF(3)SO(3))(PPh(3))}(2)] shows tetracoordinated silver(I) centers involving chelating N-N coordination by pyridyl and azo nitrogen atoms. The gold(I) compounds with a long alkoxy chain do not behave as liquid crystals, and decompose before their melting point. The soluble gold(I) derivatives are photosensitive in solution and isomerize to the cis azo isomer under UV irradiation, returning photochemically or thermally to the most stable initial trans isomer. The silver(I) derivative [(2-abpy){Ag(CF(3)SO(3))(PPh(3))}(2)] also photoisomerizes in solution under UV irradiation, showing that its solid state structure, which would block isomerization by azo coordination, is easily broken. These processes have been monitored by UV-vis absorption and (1)H NMR spectroscopy. All these compounds are non-emissive in the solid state, even at 77 K. 相似文献

Trinuclear mixed-metal gold-silver compounds are obtained by the reaction of gold(I) carbeniate [Au(mu-C(OEt)=NC6H4-p-CH3)]3, TR(carb), or gold(I) imidazolate [Au-mu-C,N-1-benzyl-2-imidazolate]3, TR(bzim), with silver(I) pyrazolate [Ag(mu-3,5-Ph2pz)]3. The crystalline products are mixed-ligand, mixed-metal dimeric products [Au(carb)Ag2(mu-3,5-Ph2pz)2], [Au2(carb)2Ag(mu-3,5-Ph2pz)].CH2Cl2, [Au(bzim)2Ag2(mu-3,5-Ph2pz)], and [Au2(bzim)2Ag(mu-3,5-Ph2pz)]. They have been characterized by elemental analysis and 1H NMR and mass spectrometry. The X-ray structure of [Au(carb)Ag2(mu-3,5-Ph2pz)2] shows it to be a dimer with two Ag...Au contacts between the trinuclear units of 3.083(2) and 3.310(2) A and with average intramolecular Ag...Ag and Au...Ag distances of approximately 3.3 and 3.2 A, respectively. The structure of [Au2(carb)2Ag(mu-3,5-Ph2pz)].CH2Cl2 is a dimer with one intermolecular Au...Au attraction of 3.3354(10) A and a short Ag...Au distance of approximately 3.42 A and intramolecular Ag...Au and Au...Au contacts of approximately 3.2 and approximately 3.3 A, respectively. Packing diagrams of both complexes show that the dimeric units are independent, similar to their parent molecules. The dimers of trinuclear [Au(carb)Ag2(mu-3,5-Ph2pz)2] and [Au2(carb)2Ag(mu-3,5-Ph2pz)].CH2Cl2 crystallize in the triclinic space group P (Z = 2), a = 9.688(3) A, b = 15.542(4) A, c = 23.689(6) A, alpha = 82.560(5) degrees , beta = 87.887(6) degrees , gamma = 78.060(5) degrees , and the orthorhombic space group Pca2(1) (Z = 4), a = 29.644(4) A, b = 7.4582(10) A, c = 30.473(4) A, respectively. The structure of [Au(bzim)Ag2(mu-3,5-Ph2pz)2] is a dimer with two metallophilic Ag...Au interactions of 3.14 A. The complex crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c (Z = 4), a = 26.368(5) A, b = 15.672(3) A, c = 17.010(3) A, beta = 102.206(3) degrees . 相似文献

Novel thiosemicarbazonato complexes of gold(III) have been prepared from reactions of [Au(damp-C1,N)Cl2(damp- = 2-(N,N-dimethylaminomethyl)phenyl) or [NBu4][AuCl4] with 2-pyridineformamide thiosemicarbazones (HL). The thiosemicarbazones deprotonate and coordinate as mononegative, tridentate NNS ligands to gold to give [Au(Hdamp-C1)(L)]Cl2 or [AuCl(L)]Cl complexes. The organometallic damp- ligand is protonated during the reactions and the Au-N bond is cleaved. The [AuCl(L)]+ cations represent the first gold(III) complexes with thiourea derivatives which are not stabilised by an additional organometallic ligand. Reactions of [NBu4][AuX4](X = Cl, Br) with diphenylthiocarbazone (dithizone) result in reduction of the metal and the formation of gold(I) complexes of the composition [AuX(SCN4-3,4-Ph2)] where SCN4-3,4-Ph2 is 3,4-diphenyltetrazole thione which is formed from cyclisation of dithizone. 相似文献

The Au(I) and Ag(I) closed-shell metal dimers of 2-(diphenylphosphino)-1-methylimidazole, dpim, were investigated. dpim formed the discreet binuclear species [Ag2(dpim)2(CH3CN)2](2+) (1) when reacted with appropriate Ag(I) salts. Likewise, [Au2(dpim)2](2+) (3) and [AuAg(dpim)3](2+) (4) were produced via reactions with (tht)AuCl, tht is tetrahydrothiophene, and Ag(I). Compound 3 exhibits an intense blue luminescence (lambdamax=483 nm) in the solid state. However, upon initial formation of 3, a small impurity of Cl- was present giving rise to an orange emission (lambdamax=548 nm). Attempts to form [Au2(dpim)2]Cl2 yielded only (dpim)AuCl (2), which is not visibly emissive. The rare three-coordinate heterobimetallic complex [AuAg(dpim)3](2+) (4) exhibits intense luminescence in the solid-state resembling that of 3. The crystal structures of 1-4 were determined, revealing strong intramolecular aurophilic and argentophilic interactions in the dimeric compounds. Compound 1 has an Ag(I)-Ag(I) separation of 2.9932(9) A, while compound 3 has a Au(I)-Au(I) separation of 2.8174(10) A. Compound 4 represents the first example of a three-coordinate Au(I)-Ag(I) dimer and has a metal-metal separation of 2.8635(15) A. The linear Au(I) monomer, 2, has no intermolecular Au(I)-Au(I) interactions, with the closest separation greater than 6.8 A. 相似文献

Since ancient times, silver ions have been known to be effective against a broad range of micro-organisms but in the last decade, this metal has been greatly studied because of their antimicrobial capability against a wide range of bacteria, viruses, and fungi. For the same reason, it is the most extensively studied metal with antibacterial applications in medicine. Besides applications, the antimicrobial activity is associated with high effectiveness, low toxicity, and virtually no resistance of micro-organisms to the presence of this metal. The appearance of new bacterial strains resistant to antibiotics is a serious health problem; so, there is a strong incentive to develop new bactericides. This makes current research in bactericidal silver complexes particularly important. This review summarizes the most important aspect related to coordination chemistry of Ag(I) carboxylate complexes and their influence as antibacterial agents. 相似文献

Silver pyrazolates [[3-(CF3)Pz]Ag]3, [[3-(CF3),5-(CH3)Pz]Ag]3, [[3-(CF3),5-(Ph)Pz]Ag]3, [[3-(CF3),5-(But)Pz]Ag]3, and [[3-(C3F7),5-(But)Pz]Ag]3 have been synthesized by treatment of the corresponding pyrazole with a slight molar excess of silver(I) oxide. This economical and convenient route gives silver pyrazolates in high (>80%) yields. X-ray crystal structures of [[3-(CF3),5-(CH3)Pz]Ag]3, [[3-(CF3),5-(But)Pz]Ag]3, and [[3-(C3F7),5-(But)Pz]Ag]3 show that these molecules have trinuclear structures with essentially planar to highly distorted Ag3N6 metallacycles. [[3-(CF3),5-(CH3)Pz]Ag]3 forms extended columns via intertrimer argentophilic contacts (the closest Ag...Ag separation between the neighboring trimers are 3.355 and 3.426 A). The trinuclear [[3-(CF3),5-(But)Pz]Ag]3 units crystallize in pairs, basically forming "dimers of trimers", with the six silver atom core of the adjacent trimers adopting a chair conformation. However, in these dimers of trimers, even the shortest intertrimer Ag...Ag distance (3.480 A) is slightly longer than the van der Waals contact of silver (3.44 A). [[3-(C3F7),5-(But)Pz]Ag]3, which has two bulky groups on each pyrazolyl ring, shows no close intertrimer Ag...Ag contacts (closest intertrimer Ag...Ag distance = 5.376 A). The Ag-N bond distances and the intratrimer Ag...Ag separations of the silver pyrazolates do not show much variation. However, their N-Ag-N angles are sensitive to the nature (especially, the size) of substituents on the pyrazolyl rings. The pi-acidic [[3,5-(CF3)2Pz]Ag]3 and [[3-(C3F7),5-(But)Pz]Ag]3 form adducts with the pi-base toluene. X-ray data show that they adopt extended columnar structures of the type [[Ag3]2.[toluene]]infinity and [[Ag3]'.[toluene]]infinity ([[3,5-(CF3)2Pz]Ag]3 = [Ag3],[[3-(C3F7),5-(But)Pz]Ag]3 = [Ag3]'), in which toluene interleaves and makes face-to-face contacts with [[3-(C3F7),5-(But)Pz]Ag]3 or dimers of [[3,5-(CF3)2Pz]Ag]3. 相似文献

A series of rhenium complexes with acetylamino- and trifluoroacetylamino-containing 1,10-phenanthroline ligands have been synthesized, characterized and their photophysical and electrochemical properties studied. These complexes were found to show significant UV-vis and emission changes on addition of CN(-), F(-) and AcO(-) anions. Their reactivity towards CN(-), F(-) and AcO(-) anions, was also investigated by UV-vis, emission and (1)H NMR spectroscopy. The reaction product between the trifluoroacetylamino-containing 1,10-phenanthroline ligand and the CN(-) anion has also been structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. 相似文献
