Positive and negative ion electrospray ionization (ESI) mass spectra of complexes of positively charged small molecules (distamycin, Hoechst 33258, [Ru(phen)2dpq]Cl2 and [Ru(phen)2dpqC]Cl2) have been compared. [Ru(phen)2dpq]Cl2 and [Ru(phen)2dpqC]Cl2 bind to DNA by intercalation. Negative ion ESI mass spectra of mixtures of [Ru(phen)2dpq]Cl2 or [Ru(phen)2dpqC]Cl2 with DNA showed ions from DNA-ligand complexes consistent with solution studies. In contrast, only ions from free DNA were present in positive ion ESI mass spectra of mixtures of [Ru(phen)2dpq]Cl2 or [Ru(phen)2dpqC]Cl2 with DNA, highlighting the need for obtaining ESI mass spectra of non-covalent complexes under a range of experimental conditions. Negative ion spectra of mixtures of the minor groove binder Hoechst 33258 with DNA containing a known minor groove binding sequence were dominated by ions from a 1:1 complex. In contrast, in positive ion spectra there were also ions present from a 2:1 (Hoechst 33258: DNA) complex, suggesting an alternative binding mode was possible either in solution or in the gas phase. When Hoechst 33258 was mixed with a DNA sequence lacking a high affinity minor groove binding site, the negative ion ESI mass spectra showed that 1:1 and 2:1 complexes were formed, consistent with existence of binding modes other than minor groove binding. The data presented suggest that comparison of positive and negative ion ESI-MS spectra might provide an insight into various binding modes in both solution and the gas phase.  相似文献

The reactions of bidentate diimine ligands (L2) with binuclear [Ru(L1)(CO)Cl2]2 complexes [L1 not equal to L2 = 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy), 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine (4,4'-Me2bpy), 5,5'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine (5,5'-Me2bpy), 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), 4,7-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (4,7-Me2phen), 5,6-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (5,6-Me2phen), di(2-pyridyl)ketone (dpk), di(2-pyridyl)amine (dpa)] result in cleavage of the dichloride bridge and the formation of cationic [Ru(L1)(L2)(CO)Cl]+ complexes. In addition to spectroscopic characterization, the structures of the [Ru(bpy)(phen)(CO)Cl]+, [Ru(4,4'-Me2bpy)(5,6-Me2phen)(CO)Cl]+ (as two polymorphs), [Ru(4,4'-Me2bpy)(4,7-Me2phen)(CO)Cl]+, [Ru(bpy)(dpa)(CO)Cl]+, [Ru(5,5'-Me2bpy)(dpa)(CO)Cl]+, [Ru(bpy)(dpk)(CO)Cl]+, and [Ru(4,4'-Me2bpy)(dpk)(CO)Cl]+ cations were confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. In each case, the structurally characterized complex had the carbonyl ligand trans to a nitrogen from the incoming diimine ligand, these complexes corresponding to the main isomers isolated from the reaction mixtures. The synthesis of [Ru(4,4'-Me2bpy)(5,6-Me2bpy)(CO)(NO3)]+ from [Ru(4,4'-Me2bpy)(5,6-Me2bpy)(CO)Cl]+ and AgNO3 demonstrates that exchange of the chloro ligand can be achieved.  相似文献

Three novel coordination polymers built of octahedral niobium cyanochloride clusters [Nb6Cl12(CN)6] and alkaline earth metal complexes have been prepared by reaction of aqueous solutions of (Me4N)4Nb6Cl18 and KCN with solutions of alkaline earth metal salts and 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) (1:2 molar ratio) in H2O/EtOH. The structures of [Ca(phen)2(H2O)3]2[Nb6Cl12(CN)6] x (phen)(EtOH)1.6 (1), [Ca(phen)2(H2O)2]2[Nb6Cl12(CN)6] x (phen)2 x 4H2O (2), and [Ba(phen)2(H2O)]2[Nb6Cl12(CN)6] (3) were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The three compounds were found to crystallize in the monoclinic system (space group Pn) with a = 11.5499(6) A, b = 17.5305(8) A, c = 21.784(1) A, beta = 100.877(1) degrees for 1; triclinic system (P1) with a = 12.609(4) A, b = 13.262(4) A, c = 16.645(5) A, alpha = 69.933(6) degrees, beta = 68.607(6) degrees, gamma = 63.522(5) degrees for 2; and a = 16.057(1) A, b = 16.063(1) A, c = 16.061(1) A, alpha = 86.830(1) degrees, beta = 64.380(1) degrees, gamma = 67.803(1) degrees for 3. Compounds 1 and 2 are built of cluster anions [Nb6Cl12(CN)6]4- trans-coordinated by two Ca2+ complexes via CN ligands to form neutral macromolecular units [Ca(phen)2(H2O)3]2[Nb6Cl12(CN)6] in 1 and [Ca(phen)2(H2O)2]2[Nb6Cl12(CN)6] in 2. Water of coordination and cyanide ligands form hydrogen bonded 3D and 2D frameworks for 1 and 2, respectively. The structure of 3 consists of [Nb6Cl12(CN)6]4- cluster anions and [Ba(phen)2(H2O)]2+ complexes linked through bridging cyanide ligands to form a neutral three-dimensional framework in which each barium complex is bound to three neighboring Nb6 clusters and each Nb6 cluster is linked to six Ba complexes.  相似文献

Polymer-induced heteronucleation was utilized for the selective crystallization of the color polymorphic platinum complexes Pt(bpy)Cl2 and Pt(phen)Cl2. Crystal structures of two polymorphs of Pt(phen)Cl2 were determined and reveal that, as in the case of Pt(bpy)Cl2, this compound has one form with Pt...Pt interactions (orange crystals) and another lacking these contacts (yellow crystals). Free energy measurements reveal that the polymorphs of Pt(bpy)Cl2 and Pt(phen)Cl2 without Pt...Pt interactions are more stable in both cases by 0.67(2) and 0.53(1) kJ/mol, respectively, and this finding is consistent with the principle of close packing. Furthermore, a search of the Cambridge Structural Database reveals that, for polymorphic platinum complexes, shorter intermolecular Pt...Pt interactions generally result in less dense structures.  相似文献

采用水热法合成了{[Cu(phen)(H2O)(o-tpha)]·H2O}n(1), [Cu2Cl4(phen)2](2), [Cu4Cl4·(bipy)2](3)和[Cu2Cl2(phen)]n(4)(bipy=2,2'-bipyridyl, phen=1,10-phenanthroline, o-H2tpha=o-phthalic acid)4个铜配合物. X射线单晶衍射结果表明, 配合物1和4是具有一维无限结构的聚合物, 配合物2是双核Cu(Ⅱ) 配合物并由氢键连成超分子, 配合物3是四核Cu(Ⅰ) 簇合物. 常温下测定了4个配合物的表面光电压光谱(SPS)、场诱导表面光电压光谱(FISPS)、IR和UV-Vis-NIR光谱. SPS的测试结果显示, 4个化合物均在300~800 nm范围内存在光伏响应带, 但是它们呈现了不同的特性. 配合物1~3的表面光电压光谱呈现出正的表面光伏响应(SPV), 配合物4的SPS呈现出负的表面光伏响应. 4个配合物的表面光伏响应带的位置、数量以及强度均有明显不同.  相似文献

A series of Pd and Pt chloride complexes with pyridine (py), 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) and 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), of general formulae trans-/cis-[M(py)2Cl2], [M(py)4]Cl2, trans-/cis-[M(py)2Cl4], [M(bpy)Cl2], [M(bpy)Cl4], [M(phen)Cl2], [M(phen)Cl4], where M = Pd, Pt, was studied by 1H, 195Pt, and 15N NMR. The 90-140 ppm low-frequency 15N coordination shifts are discussed in terms of such structural features of the complexes as the type of platinide metal, oxidation state, coordination sphere geometry and the type of ligand. The results of quantum-chemical NMR calculations were compared with the experimental 15N coordination shifts, well reproducing their magnitude and correlation with the molecular structure.  相似文献

Four kinds of copper(I)-phenanthroline complexes ([CuI(phen)2]Cl, [CuI(phen)Cl]2, [CuI(phen)2]BF4, and CuI(phen)PPh3Cl) were prepared and used as catalysts for amination and amidation of aryl iodide to investigate the influence on the yields of products due to differences of the structures. These complexes were found to work as catalysts on these reactions and showed that the differences of structures of copper(I) complexes significantly influenced the yield of aryl-nitrogen bond forming processes.  相似文献

Studies are reported on the reactions of aqueous chlorine with a series of substitution-inert, one-electron metal-complex reductants, which includes [Ru(bpy)3]2+, [Ru(4,4'-Me2bpy)3]2+, [Ru(4,7-Me2phen)3]2+, [Ru(terpy)2]2+, and [Fe(3,4,7,8-Me4phen)3]2+. The reactions were studied by spectrophotometry at 25 degrees C in acidic chloride media at mu = 0.3 M. In general the reactions have the stoichiometry 2[ML3]2+ + Cl2-->2[ML3]3+ + 2Cl-. In the case of [Ru(bpy)3]2+, the reaction is quite photosensitive; the thermal reaction is so slow as to be practically immeasurable. The reactions of [Ru(4,4'-Me2bpy)3]2+ and [Ru(4,7-Me2phen)3]2+ are also highly photosensitive, giving pseudo-first-order rate constants that depend on the monochromator slit width in a stopped-flow instrument; however, the thermal rates are fast enough that they can be obtained by extrapolation of kobs to zero slit width. The reactions of [Ru(terpy)2]2+ and [Fe(3,4,7,8-Me4phen)3]2+ show no appreciable photosensitivity, allowing direct determination of their thermal rate laws. From the kinetic effects of pH, [Cl2]tot, and [Cl-] it is evident that all of the thermal rate laws have a first-order dependence on [ML3]2+ and on [Cl2]. The second-order rate constants decrease as Eo for the complex increases, consistent with the predictions of Marcus theory for an outer-sphere electron-transfer mechanism. Quantum yields at 460 nm for the reactions of [Ru(4,4'-Me2bpy)3]2+ and [Ru(4,7-Me2phen)3]2+ exceed 0.1 and show a dependence on [Cl2] indicative of competition among spontaneous decay of *Ru, nonreactive quenching by Cl2, and reactive quenching by Cl2.  相似文献

Fluorescent composite materials of exfoliated titania nanosheets, Ti(0.91)O(2), and rare earth (RE) complexes, Eu(phen)(2)Cl(3).2H(2)O and Tb(phen)(2)Cl(3).2H(2)O (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), were synthesized via flocculation between them. X-ray diffraction measurements and transmission electron microscopy observations confirmed a restacked lamellar structure for the composites, and elemental analysis revealed a high RE complex content of 15 wt %. The decomposition temperature of the complexes trapped in the composites was improved to 420 degrees C from 250 degrees C for the free form. The restacked composite composed of Ti(0.91)O(2) nanosheets and Eu(phen)(2) exhibited characteristic red emission from the complex, while the composite with Tb(phen)(2) gave featureless emission originated from the ligand. This phenomenon can be explained by a shift of triplet state level of the ligand after encapsulation in the host titania nanosheets. The quantum yield of europium complex in the composite was enhanced 1.6 times more than that of the pure complex.  相似文献

应用循环伏安法、微分脉冲伏安法、紫外-可见和荧光光谱研究了一种新型钌化卟啉[Ru(phen)2(MPyTMPP)Cl]+(phen=1,10-邻菲咯啉,MPyTMPP=5-(3-吡啶)-10,15,20-三-(4-甲苯基)-卟啉)在多壁碳纳米管(MWCNTs)修饰的玻碳(GC)电极表面的电化学特性及其与电极上和溶液中双十六烷基磷酸盐(DHP)的作用.结果表明:[Ru(phen)2(MPyTMPP)Cl]+能强吸附在MWCNTs-DHP/GC电极表面,并呈现一对由表面过程控制的氧化还原峰;适量DHP有利于该配合物的吸附固定;[Ru(phen)2(MPyTMPP)Cl]+能与溶液中的DHP形成结合体,导致配合物中心离子反应电位负移.  相似文献

Reactions between the Os(VI)-nitrido complexes, [OsVI(L2)(Cl)3(N)] (L2 = 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) ([1]), 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine (Me2bpy), 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), and 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (Ph2phen)), and bis-(triphenylphosphoranylidene)ammonium azide (PPNN3) in dry CH3CN at 60 degrees C under N2 give the corresponding Os(IV)-azidoimido complexes, [OsIV(L2)(Cl)3(NN3)]- (L2 = bpy = [2]-, L2 = Me2bpy = [3]-, L2 = phen = [4]-, and L2 = Ph2phen = [5]-) as their PPN+ salts. The formulation of the N42- ligand has been substantiated by 15N-labeling, IR, and 15N NMR measurements. Hydroxylation of [2]- at Nalpha with O<--NMe3.3H2O occurs to give the Os(IV)-azidohydroxoamido complex, [OsIV(bpy)(Cl)3(N(OH)N3)] ([6]), which, when deprotonated, undergoes dinitrogen elimination to give the Os(II)-dinitrogen oxide complex, [OsII(bpy)(Cl)3(N2O)]- ([7]-). In search of potential anticancer drug candidates in ruthenium complexes, a series of mononuclear ruthenium complexes of the type [Ru(phen)(2)(nmit)]Cl(2) (Ru1), [Ru(bpy)(2)(nmit)]Cl(2) (Ru2), [Ru(phen)(2)(icpl)]Cl(2) (Ru3), Ru(bpy)(2)(icpl)]Cl(2) (Ru4) (phen=1,10-phenanthroline; bpy=2,2'-bipyridine; nmit=N-methyl-isatin-3-thiosemicarbazone, icpl=isatin-3-(4-Cl-phenyl)thiosemicarbazone) and [Ru(phen)(2)(aze)]Cl(2) (Ru5), [Ru(bpy)(2)(aze)]Cl(2) (Ru6) (aze=acetazolamide) and [Ru(phen)(2)(R-tsc)](ClO(4))(2) (R=methyl (Ru7), ethyl (Ru8), cyclohexyl (Ru9), 4-Cl-phenyl (10), 4-Br-phenyl (Ru11), and 4-EtO-phenyl (Ru12), tsc=thiosemicarbazone) were prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR, (1)H-NMR and FAB-MS. Effect of these complexes on the growth of a transplantable murine tumor cell line (Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma) and their antibacterial activity were studied. In cancer study the effect of hematological profile of the tumor hosts have also been studied. In the cancer study, the complexes Ru1-Ru4, Ru10 and Ru11 have remarkably decreased the tumor volume and viable ascitic cell count as indicated by trypan blue dye exclusion test (p<0.05). Treatment with the ruthenium complexes prolonged the lifespan of Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma (EAC) bearing mice. Tumor inhibition by the ruthenium chelates was followed by improvements in hemoglobin, RBC and WBC values. All the complexes showed antibacterial activity, except Ru5 and Ru6. Thus, the results suggest that these ruthenium complexes have significant antitumor property and antibacterial activity. The results also reflect that the drug does not adversely affect the hematological profiles as compared to that of cisplatin on the host.  相似文献

Three new complexes, [Cu(phen)(L-argH+)Cl]Cl?·?2.5H2O (1), [Cu(phen)(L-leu)(H2O)]Cl?·2.5H2O (2) and [Cu(phen)(L-met)(H2O)]Cl?·?2H2O (3), where phen?=?1,10-phenanthroline, L-arg?=?L-argininate, L-leu?=?L-leucinate, and L-met?=?L-methioninate, were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, IR and UV-Vis spectroscopies. Complex 1 was structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activities of the three complexes were determined by the improved NBT method. The results show that the complexes have high superoxide dismutase-like activities and may act as good mimics for superoxide dismutases.  相似文献

Relatively little is known about the kinetics or the pharmacological potential of organometallic complexes of osmium compared to its lighter congeners, iron and ruthenium. We report the synthesis of seven new complexes, [(eta6-arene)Os(NN)Cl]+, containing different bidentate nitrogen (N,N) chelators, and a dichlorido complex, [(eta6-arene)Os(N)Cl2]. The X-ray crystal structures of seven complexes are reported: [(eta6-bip)Os(en)Cl]PF6 (1PF6), [(eta6-THA)Os(en)Cl]BF4 (2BF4), [(eta6-p-cym)Os(phen)Cl]PF6 (5PF6), [(eta6-bip)Os(dppz)Cl]PF6 (6PF6), [(eta6-bip)Os(azpy-NMe2)Cl]PF6 (7PF6), [(eta6-p-cym)Os(azpy-NMe2)Cl]PF6 (8PF6), and [(eta6-bip)Os(NCCH3-N)Cl2] (9), where THA = tetrahydroanthracene, en = ethylenediamine, p-cym = p-cymene, phen = phenanthroline, bip = biphenyl, dppz = [3,2-a: 2',3'-c]phenazine and azpy-NMe2 = 4-(2-pyridylazo)-N,N-dimethylaniline. The chelating ligand was found to play a crucial role in enhancing aqueous stability. The rates of hydrolysis at acidic pH* decreased when the primary amine N-donors (NN = en, t1/2 = 0.6 h at 318 K) are replaced with pi-accepting pyridine groups (e.g., NN = phen, t1/2 = 9.5 h at 318 K). The OsII complexes hydrolyze up to 100 times more slowly than their RuII analogues. The pK*a of the aqua adducts decreased with a similar trend (pK*a = 6.3 and 5.8 for en and phen adducts, respectively). [(eta6-bip)Os(en)Cl]PF6/BF4 (1PF6/BF4) and [(eta6-THA)Os(en)Cl]BF4 (2BF4) were cytotoxic toward both the human A549 lung and A2780 ovarian cancer cell lines, with IC50 values of 6-10 microM, comparable to the anticancer drug carboplatin. 1BF4 binds to both the N7 and phosphate of 5'-GMP (ratio of 2:1). The formation constant for the 9-ethylguanine (9EtG) adduct [(eta6-bip)M(en)(9EtG)]2+ was lower for OsII (log K = 3.13) than RuII (log K = 4.78), although the OsII adduct showed some kinetic stability. DNA intercalation of the dppz ligand in 6PF6 may play a role in its cytotoxicity. This work demonstrates that the nature of the chelating ligand can play a crucial role in tuning the chemical and biological properties of [(eta6-arene)Os(NN)Cl]+ complexes.  相似文献

The interactions of mixed porphyrin-polypyridyl Ru(II) complexes [m(Py-3′)TPP-Ru(phen) 2 Cl] + (1) and its derivatives [Nim(Py-3′)TPP-Ru(phen) 2 Cl] + (2) and [Cum(Py-3′)TPP-Ru(phen) 2 Cl] + (3)(phen=1,10-phenanthroline; m(Py-3′)TPP=5-(3′-pyridyl)-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin) with bovine serum albumin(BSA) were investigated by fluorescence, UV-Vis and circular dichroism(CD) spectroscopies. The UV-Vis and CD spectral experiments indicated that the secondary structures of the protein were perturbed in the presence of the porphyrin Ru(II) complex and the perturbation was enhanced under the irradiation with ultra-violet light. The fluorescence quenching mechanism of BSA by the three complexes was determined to be a static process, and the apparent binding constant K values for complexes 1, 2 and 3 measured by fluorescence quenching method were (3.86±0.03)×10 3 L/mol(n=0.94±0.04), (5.69±0.04)×10 3 L/mol(n=1.03±0.06), and (6.54±0.02)×10 3 L/mol(n=1.03±0.05), respectively.  相似文献

The oxidation state of the chromium center in the following compounds has been probed using a combination of chromium K-edge X-ray absorption spectroscopy and density functional theory: [Cr(phen)(3)][PF(6)](2) (1), [Cr(phen)(3)][PF(6)](3) (2), [CrCl(2)((t)bpy)(2)] (3), [CrCl(2)(bpy)(2)]Cl(0.38)[PF(6)](0.62) (4), [Cr(TPP)(py)(2)] (5), [Cr((t)BuNC)(6)][PF(6)](2) (6), [CrCl(2)(dmpe)(2)] (7), and [Cr(Cp)(2)] (8), where phen is 1,10-phenanthroline, (t)bpy is 4,4'-di-tert-butyl-2,2'-bipyridine, and TPP(2-) is doubly deprotonated 5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrin. The X-ray crystal structures of complexes 1, [Cr(phen)(3)][OTf](2) (1'), and 3 are reported. The X-ray absorption and computational data reveal that complexes 1-5 all contain a central Cr(III) ion (S(Cr) = (3)/(2)), whereas complexes 6-8 contain a central low-spin (S = 1) Cr(II) ion. Therefore, the electronic structures of 1-8 are best described as [Cr(III)(phen(?))(phen(0))(2)][PF(6)](2), [Cr(III)(phen(0))(3)][PF(6)](3), [Cr(III)Cl(2)((t)bpy(?))((t)bpy(0))], [Cr(III)Cl(2)(bpy(0))(2)]Cl(0.38)[PF(6)](0.62), [Cr(III)(TPP(3?-))(py)(2)], [Cr(II)((t)BuNC)(6)][PF(6)](2), [Cr(II)Cl(2)(dmpe)(2)], and [Cr(II)(Cp)(2)], respectively, where (L(0)) and (L(?))(-) (L = phen, (t)bpy, or bpy) are the diamagnetic neutral and one-electron-reduced radical monoanionic forms of L, and TPP(3?-) is the one-electron-reduced doublet form of diamagnetic TPP(2-). Following our previous results that have shown [Cr((t)bpy)(3)](2+) and [Cr(tpy)(2)](2+) (tpy = 2,2':6',2"-terpyridine) to contain a central Cr(III) ion, the current results further refine the scope of compounds that may be described as low-spin Cr(II) and reveal that this is a very rare oxidation state accessible only with ligands in the strong-field extreme of the spectrochemical series.  相似文献

Complexes of Mn(II) with 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) and 2,2'-bipyridine (bipy) are investigated by means of electrospray ionization (ESI) mass spectrometry. Under the conditions used, [MnL(n)]2+ with n = 2 and 3, [MnL(n)Cl]+ with n = 0-2, and [Mn2L(n)Cl3]+ with n = 2 and 3 are produced (where L = phen or bipy). The collision-induced dissociation (CID) spectra of the mass-selected ions show various dissociation pathways, most notable among them is the reduction of the ligated Mn(II) to Mn(I) by intracomplex electron transfer. CID experiments of mixed-ligand complexes formed upon ESI from solutions which contain both phen and bipy exhibit preferential eliminations of bipy, indicating that bipy is a significantly weaker ligand for Mn(II) than phen. This effect is mainly attributed to the flexibility of the bipy ligand concomitant with thermodynamic control in ion dissociation. To support this hypothesis, mixed complexes with some methylated derivatives as well as those containing 4,5-diazafluorene (daf) are examined also. Interestingly, the differences between the ligands diminish in charge-separation reactions of dicationic Mn(II) complexes, due to the joined operation of thermodynamic as well as kinetic effects. In addition, the complexes [Mn(bipy)]+, [Mn(phen)]+, [Mn(bipy)]2+, [Mn(phen)]2+, and [Mn(bipy)(phen)]2+ are computed using the mPW1PW91 hybrid density functional along with the Stuttgart-Cologne-type pseudopotential and basis-set suite, and relative energies for charge-separation reactions and losses of neutral ligands are evaluated.  相似文献

A trinuclear heterobimetallic Ru(II)/Pt(II) complex, cis-{Ru(phen)2[CN-Pt(DMSO)Cl2]2} (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), is able to function as a "switch-on" luminescent chemodosimeter for sulfhydryl-containing amino acids and peptides via specific binding of the amino acids/peptides with the Pt(II) centers and the subsequent cleavage of the Ru(II)-Pt(II) cyano-bridge.  相似文献
