In this paper we provide an existence result for a nonlocal problem of Kirchhoff‐type which involves both the p‐ and the q‐Laplacian and contains a critical term. Our approach is variational: we derive the existence of one non‐trivial solution via the multidimensional mountain pass theorem.  相似文献

In this paper, we obtain the existence of at least two nontrivial solutions for a Robin‐type differential inclusion problem involving p(x)‐Laplacian type operator and nonsmooth potentials. The r‐Laplacian has played an important role in the development of computationally efficient models for applications, such as numerical simulation of turbulent flows. In this article, we examine two‐level finite element approximation schemes applied to the Navier‐Stokes equations with r‐Laplacian subgridscale viscosity, where r is the order of the power‐law artificial viscosity term. In the two‐level algorithm, the solution to the fully nonlinear coarse mesh problem is utilized in a single‐step linear fine mesh problem. When modeling parameters are chosen appropriately, the error in the two‐level algorithm is comparable to the error in solving the fully nonlinear problem on the fine mesh. We provide rigorous numerical analysis of the two‐level approximation scheme and derive scalings which vary based on the coefficient r, coarse mesh size H, fine mesh size h, and filter radius δ. We also investigate the two‐level algorithm in several computational settings, including the 3D numerical simulation of flow past a backward‐facing step at Reynolds number Re = 5100. In all numerical tests, the two‐level algorithm was proven to achieve the same order of accuracy as the standard one‐level algorithm, at a fraction of the computational cost. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this paper, we study the existence of positive solutions for the following Sturm–Liouville‐like four‐point singular boundary value problem (BVP) with p‐Laplacian where ?p(s)=|s|p?2 s, p>1, f is a lower semi‐continuous function. Using the fixed‐point theorem of cone expansion and compression of norm type, the existence of positive solution and infinitely many positive solutions for Sturm–Liouville‐like singular BVP with p‐Laplacian are obtained. In this paper, we deal with a new class of non-local operators that we term integro-differential systems of mixed type. We study the behaviour of solutions of this system when the diffusion term involves higher order fractional powers of the Laplacian. Moreover, we prove that the solution of the system decays faster than a power with an exponent given by the smallest index of the fractional power of the Laplacian.  相似文献

We consider the long time behavior of solutions for the non‐autonomous stochastic p‐Laplacian equation with additive noise on an unbounded domain. First, we show the existence of a unique ‐pullback attractor, where q is related to the order of the nonlinearity. The main difficulty existed here is to prove the asymptotic compactness of systems in both spaces, because the Laplacian operator is nonlinear and additive noise is considered. We overcome these obstacles by applying the compactness of solutions inside a ball, a truncation method and some new techniques of estimates involving the Laplacian operator. Next, we establish the upper semi‐continuity of attractors at any intensity of noise under the topology of . Finally, we prove this continuity of attractors from domains in the norm of , which improves an early result by Bates et al.(2001) who studied such continuity when the deterministic lattice equations were approached by finite‐dimensional systems, and also complements Li et al. J. Banasiak In this paper, we deal with spectral properties of a weighted Laplacian in the half‐space when a Dirichlet or a Neumann boundary condition is imposed. After proving that the spectrum is discrete under suitable assumptions, we give explicit formulae of eigenvalues and eigenfunctions in a specific case. In particular, the obtained eigenfunctions are rational or pseudo‐rational and have remarkable orthogonality properties. The paper is concerned with the solvability for several nonlinear boundary value problems of fractional p‐Laplacian differential equation involving the right‐handed Riemann‐Liouville derivative. By applying monotone iterative technique, lower and upper solutions method and the Banach fixed point theorem, sufficient conditions for existence and uniqueness of extremal solutions are obtained and they extend existing results. In this paper, the existence and multiplicity of nontrivial solutions are obtained for nonlinear fractional differential systems with p‐Laplacian by combining the properties of fractional calculus with critical point theory. Firstly, we present a result that a class of p‐Laplacian fractional differential systems exists infinitely many solutions under the famous Ambrosetti‐Rabinowitz condition. Then, a criterion is given to guarantee that the fractional systems exist at least 1 nontrivial solution without satisfying Ambrosetti‐Rabinowitz condition. This work deals with the existence and uniqueness of a nontrivial solution for the third‐order p‐Laplacian m‐point eigenvalue problems on time scales. We find several sufficient conditions of the existence and uniqueness of nontrivial solution of eigenvalue problems when λ is in some interval.
