In this paper a homogeneous single layer model for surface roughness by polarized light has been developed. It has been shown that the reflectance change in non-absorbing layer is directly proportional to the refractive index of the ambient and substrate media for s polarization but inversely proportional to the p polarization and it is directly proportional to the square of the thickness of the layer for both the polarization. In an absorbing layer, it has been shown that the thickness of the layer is equal to the twice of surface roughness of the single layer identical system for s polarization but it is ratio of twice of surface roughness to the square of refractive index of thin film for p polarization. The extinction coefficient of the layer is directly proportional to the thickness of that layer for both the polarization. The consequence of the scattered light on the specular reflectance and transmittance for oblique incidence shows that there is reduction in reflectance (in both non-absorbing and absorbing cases) and transmittance (in the absorbing case for p polarization only), due to roughness on the surface under the Drude effective-medium approximation. Thus such an absorbing layer provides a valid model for the effect of scatter on the transmittance for p polarization only.  相似文献

Objective: Preoperative performance status is an important factor in thoracic surgery, but little is known about the effect of preoperative physical activity (PA) on the postoperative course. This study investigated the associations between preoperative PA and postoperative complications and clinical outcomes of lung cancer surgery. Methods: This prospective observational study included patients who underwent surgery for lung cancer at a single institution. PA was measured before hospitalization for 5 consecutive days and then after surgery until hospital discharge. The daily step count and time spent performing moderate intensity activity (> 3 metabolic equivalents) were measured with an accelerometer. We examined the correlations between PA and preoperative pulmonary function and physical fitness, and examined the relationship between postoperative complication and PA. Finally, a multivariate analysis was performed with pre-hospital PA as the dependent variable. Results: Forty-two patients were analyzed. Univariate analysis found no correlation between pre-hospital PA and preoperative pulmonary function, but found significant positive correlations between pre-hospital PA and time spent performing moderate intensity activity, in-hospital PA, preoperative 6-minute walk distance, and maximum gait speed (r > 0.5, p < 0.01). The nine patients who developed postoperative complications had significantly lower pre-hospital and postoperative step count than the patients with no complication (p = 0.04). Multiple regression analysis showed that pre-hospital PA was significantly associated with time spent performing moderate intensity activity, maximum gait speed, and postoperative complication. Conclusions: Evaluation of pre-hospital PA is useful in predicting the postoperative course after lung cancer surgery.  相似文献

Small-angle neutron scattering experiments and molecular dynamics simulations combined with an application of concepts from soft matter physics to complex protein mixtures provide new insight into the stability of eye lens protein mixtures. Exploring this colloid-protein analogy we demonstrate that weak attractions between unlike proteins help to maintain lens transparency in an extremely sensitive and nonmonotonic manner. These results not only represent an important step towards a better understanding of protein condensation diseases such as cataract formation, but provide general guidelines for tuning the stability of colloid mixtures, a topic relevant for soft matter physics and industrial applications.  相似文献

We analyze CP violation and flavor changing effects in a minimal supersymmetric standard model with arbitrary nonuniversal soft breaking. Large flavor changing neutral current effects are naturally expected in the K system, even in the absence of quark-squark flavor misalignment. However, the B system is sensitive to new supersymmetric contributions only if nonuniversality implies, not only different soft terms for the three generations but also a large quark-squark misalignment. The only exceptions are processes with a leading chirality changing contribution proportional to tanbeta (as b-->sgamma).  相似文献

Houseflies (Musca domestica L.) have been found to accumulate significant electrostatic charges when walking on uncharged dielectric surfaces. The number of steps taken was found to determine the amount of charge transferred whereas time, on its own, did not play a significant role. After walking only a short distance, typically 30 cm, flies reached saturation charge. The level of this varied according to the position of the surface in the triboelectric series relative to the fly. The rate of charging (pC/footstep) was directly proportional to the difference between the fly's charge and its saturation charge, hence the initial rate of charging for an uncharged fly was directly proportional to the saturation charge. A model has been fitted to the relationship between distance travelled (and hence the number of steps taken) with charge. The reciprocal charge left on the surface has been visualised using photocopier toner.  相似文献

The photoreduction of phthalic anhydride (PA), 3,6-dichlorophthalic anhydride (3,6-DCPA), 4,5-dichlorophthalic anhydride (4,5-DCPA) and tetrachlorophthalic anhydride (TCPA) in 2-propanol has been studied with time-resolved electron paramagnetic resonance. The chemically induced dynamic electron polarization spectra show that the reaction takes place through the excited triplet states. From PA, cyclohexadienyl-type hydrogen adduct and ketyl radicals were observed, whereas 3,6-DCPA produced the 3,6-DCPA anion and hydrogen adduct radicals. With 4,5-DCPA only the anion radical appeared, whilst the TCPA system showed no apparent anion and adduct radical formation. These data show that the hydrogen adduct formation occurs at the 4 position in the benzene ring, but that 4,5-DCPA and TCPA do not undergo this reaction. The anion radicals of PAs are formed in subsequent deprotonation reactions of the ketyl radicals. We propose that the hydrogen adduct radical formation in PA and 3,6-DCPA takes place through direct hydrogen abstraction by the excited triplet molecules, in competition with similar abstraction by the carbonyl group to form the ketyls.  相似文献

It is now well-appreciated that the correlation functions of partially coherent optical wavefields may possess phase singularities with properties similar to those that appear in monochromatic wavefields. Though much work has been done to investigate the generic properties of such correlation vortices, little effort has gone towards studying topological reactions associated with these vortices. In this paper we investigate three such reactions: (1) The break-up of a second-order optical vortex into first-order correlation vortices. (2) Creation and annihilation of correlation vortices. (3) The behavior of correlation vortices on propagation. These results clearly demonstrate the relationship between optical vortices and correlation vortices, and suggest the possible use of correlation vortices as a probe of the statistical properties of a field or a medium.  相似文献

Hydrogen bonds and their strength were analysed based on their X–H proton–donor bond properties and the parameters of the H–Y distance (Y proton acceptor). Strong, moderate and weak interactions in hydrogen-bond types were verified through the proton affinities of bases (PA), deprotanation enthalpies of acids (DPE) and the chemical shift (σ). The aromaticity and anti-aromaticity were analysed by means of the NICS (0) (nucleus-independent chemical shift), NICS (1) and ΔNICS (0), ΔNICS (1) of hydrogen-bonded molecules. The strength of a hydrogen bond depends on the capacity of hydrogen atom engrossing into the electronegative acceptor atom. The correlation between the above parameters and their relations were discussed through curve fitting. Bader's theory of atoms in molecules has been applied to estimate the occurrence of hydrogen bonds through eight criteria reported by Popelier et al. The lengths and potential energy shifts have been found to have a strong negative linear correlation, whereas the lengths and Laplacian shifts have a strong positive linear correlation. This study illustrates the common factors responsible for strong, moderate and weak interactions in hydrogen-bond types.  相似文献

In this paper, finite element method (FEM) mode analyses of planar slab optical waveguide having complicated refractive index profile are presented. We try to estimate the dispersion graph, mode cut-off condition, group delay and waveguide dispersion for the case of α-power and chirped-type refractive index profile. In order to obtain the more accurate result, we have derived the higher-order polynomial, which establishes the suitable relationship between b and V for different profile of optical waveguide. On the basis of the derived polynomials, the waveguide dispersion is analyzed for different type of refractive index profile waveguide. Our study shows that the waveguide dispersion can be substantially reduced when we deployed the optical waveguide having linearly chirped-type refractive index profile. Earlier too, the arbitrary refractive index profile has been analyzed but to the best of our knowledge chirped-type refractive index profile has not been analyzed till date for the case of planar slab optical waveguide.  相似文献

This review focuses on the development of ruthenium and flavin catalysts for environmentally benign oxidation reactions based on mimicking the functions of cytochrome P-450 and flavoenzymes, and low valent transition-metal catalysts that replace conventional acids and bases. The specific Heat of amorphous and polycrystalline Bi+10 at % Sb has been measured between 0.5 and 2.2 K. In the superconducting, amorphous Bi no sign of aT proportional term was found. In contrast, such aT term is observed on the polycrystalline Bi. This behaviour is compared with the specific heat anomaly previously found in disordered glasses. The present experiments suggest, that for the existence of an anomalousT proportional term in the lattice specific heat, not only structural disorder is important but also the existence of covalent bonds.  相似文献

利用原子电性作用矢量(AEIV)对Mannich碱中C=O与P=O进行结构参数化表征,并通过多元线性回归(MLR)分析,建立了红外光谱振动频率定量结构光谱相关(QSSR)模型,继以留一法(LOO)交互检验(CV)对模型稳定性进行检验.对C=O和P=O键伸缩振动频率的建模相关系数(Rcum)和交互检验相关系数(RLOO)分别为0.9777,0.9973(C=O);0.9433,0.9911(P=O).结果表明,AEIV与Mannich碱中C=O与P=O伸缩振动频率有很好的相关性.  相似文献

Ultrasound Doppler methods are widely used in clinical practice as prospective investigational tool to study the vascular system and soft biological tissues. Meanwhile, the most general relationship between the power Doppler spectra, spectral characteristics of the scattering fluctuations and the probing ultrasound field parameters for some clinical implementations are still unexplored. Based upon the continuum model of scattering inhomogeneities, a set of the closed-form expressions for the correlation functions and the spectra of Doppler response of soft tissues and blood have been derived. The influence of the correlation among inhomogeneities and the diffusion processes on the Doppler power spectra formed by stationary flows have been examined. Computer simulations of Doppler spectra were performed for different values of correlation radius and diffusion coefficient. With simulation results the effects of the correlation among inhomogeneities and the diffusion processes on the spectral width and mean frequency are established and discussed in respect to turbulent flows. Closed-form expressions for correlation functions and Doppler spectra for the vibrational sonoelastography technique for visualizing malignant tumors in tissues have been derived. Based on the peculiarities of the obtained Doppler spectra, it is shown that the differentiation of soft tissues with respect to the amplitude value of constrained oscillations is feasible. The expressions were derived for the cases of non-stationary accelerated blood movement. It has been found that the frequency dependence reveals solely at a finite time of observation and depends on the initial phase of the accelerated movement.  相似文献

黄土高原地区作为气候敏感区和生态脆弱区地表干 湿状况的年际和年代际变化特征十分明显. 但以往主要是针对夏季进行分析, 而对黄土高原秋季干湿变化规律及大气环流机理的认识非常有限. 本文基于中国589站最近50 a (1961–2010年)月降水和气温月平均资料、NCEP/NCAR提供的再分析资料以及NOAA提供的海表温度(Sea Surface Temperature, SST) 资料, 运用带通/低通滤波、小波分析、EOF/REOF和回归分析等方法, 在对中国秋季干湿时空演化分类的基础上, 通过研究秋季黄土高原中部干湿演变周期、大气环流特征及与海温的多尺度相关关系, 以揭示影响黄土高原中部秋季干湿变化的物理机理, 并确定影响该区域干湿状况的前兆信号. 小波功率谱分析表明, 黄土高原中部秋季干湿指数存在准4 a和准8 a的周期, 1970–1990年准8 a尺度周期振荡尤为明显. 年际(周期≤ 8 a) 尺度上偏湿年的大气环流特征是, 欧亚大陆中高纬呈“双阻型”, 200 hPa西风急流显著北移, 日本海-鄂霍茨克海受反气旋控制, 其底部的偏东水汽输送带将水汽输入研究区. 年代际(周期 > 8 a)尺度上偏湿年的大气环流特征是, 东亚大陆为一致的低值系统; 200 hPa东亚副热带西风急流减弱北移, 研究区主要水汽来源由经孟加拉湾在中南半岛转向的南风水汽输送及中纬度的西风水汽输送组成. 整个序列上, Nino3区SST指数(Nino3I)超前5个月与秋季干湿指数已呈显著的负相关关系, 而孟加拉湾–中国南海SST指数(BayI)则超前3个月与干湿指数呈现显著的负相关关系. 年际尺度上, 秋季Nino3I, BayI均与秋季干湿指数存在显著相关(准4 a, 4–6 a), 而年代际尺度上, 只有BayI与秋季干湿指数存在显著相关性(准10 a). 黄土高原中部秋季干湿的年际和年代际周期的确定、大气环流异常特征的认识及与海温的多尺度相关关系的建立, 不仅揭示了影响该区域干湿变化的物理机理, 也为干旱气候预测提供了重要的前兆信号. 关键词: 黄土高原中部 干湿特征 海表温度 小波分析  相似文献

测量了苯在八种溶液中不同浓度下联合散射谱带992厘米-1的积分强度及溶液折射率。研究了谱带强度、浓度、折射率与苯在这些溶液中吸收频率之间的相互关系。结果表明,谱带强度随浓度的偏离系与溶液折射率与苯折射率之差成正比。在不同溶液中的谱带强度与其折射率成直线关系,即强度与溶液的性质无关,只与折射率有关。谱带强度与苯在这些溶液中的吸收频率共振因子成正比关系,从介质对电子吸收谱带的扰动观点以共振联合散射效应讨论了实验结果。  相似文献

Correlations between coincident protons and deuterons were measured for induced reactions on Au at E/A = 35 MeV. Because of their different mass-to-charge ratios, protons and deuterons experience different accelerations in the Coulomb field of the heavy target residue. Correlations measured at small relative momenta are, therefore, influenced not only by the interaction between the coincident particles but also by this external field. The modification of the p−d correlation function by this field suggests that emission occurs close to the surface of the target residue.  相似文献

用高光谱微分指数估测条锈病胁迫下小麦冠层叶绿素密度   总被引:13,自引:0,他引:13  
通过人工田间诱发不同等级条锈病,在不同生育期测定感染不同严重程度条锈病的冬小麦冠层光谱与冠层叶绿素密度(canopy chlorophyll density,CCD)。把CCD与高光谱指数进行相关性分析,选取相关系数大于0.7的指数构建反演模型,并对模型进行检验,结果表明微分指数(D750-D550)/(D750+D550)反演精度以及稳定性最好,其次是微分指数(D725-D702)/(D725+D702)。对上述两个微分指数分别进行饱和度分析,发现当CCD大于12μg.cm-2时微分指数(D750-D550)/(D750+D550)易达到饱和,因此当CCD小于12μg.cm-2时,微分指数(D750-D550)/(D750+D550)反演CCD结果较好;但当CCD大于12μg.cm-2时,利用微分指数(D725-D702)/(D725+D702)反演CCD较好,该指数不易达到饱和状态。由于CCD与小麦病情指数(diseaseindex,DI)之间存在极显著负相关性,利用高光谱遥感精确估测小麦冠层CCD,不仅可以帮助判断作物的长势,而且可为识别小麦病害提供辅助信息。因此,该研究对于农业防灾减灾也具有重要现实意义。  相似文献

X-ray fluorescence (XRF) is a widely used method for in vivo elemental analysis. Particularly for bone, it is a non-invasive technique that provides information on composition without significant risk to the patient. XRF contributes a capability for measuring elements beneficial to human health, such as strontium. This is a proposed supplement that has been shown in clinical trials to reduce fracture risk in people diagnosed with osteoporosis. Although XRF is a viable method for quantifying bone strontium, there are still factors that constrain its effectiveness. X-ray attenuation through overlying soft tissue decreases the signal, consequently requiring correction before estimating the true concentration of strontium in bone. A correction factor can be applied to account for the reduced signal, but an accurate measurement of overlying soft tissue thickness is required. It has been shown that using the correlation between Compton peak count rate and overlying thickness can be used as an estimation of overlying tissue. Lucite is commonly used as a soft tissue substitute; however, its mean atomic number is appreciably lower than soft tissue, somewhat limiting its applicability. This study tests the feasibility of using cellulose filter papers as a substitute for overlying soft tissue to perform XRF analysis of strontium-doped hydroxyapatite bone phantoms. Mass attenuation coefficients are shown to be closer to those of soft tissue (International Commission on Radiation Units' four-component) than Lucite, and the Compton correlation is used to estimate thickness as a correction factor to quantify true strontium concentration.  相似文献
