A new phosphorus‐containing spiroorthoester, (1,4,6‐trioxaspiro [4,4] nonan‐2‐yl)‐methyl 3‐[10‐(9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐9‐phosphaphenanthrene‐10‐oxide)]‐propanoate (SOE‐P), was synthesized under microwave irradiation with a short reaction time (1 h), because classical thermal heating did not lead to the desired product. The structure of the new monomer was confirmed by 1H, 13C, and 31P. SOE‐P was homopolymerized and copolymerized with phenylglycidyl ether with ytterbium triflate as a cationic initiator in DSC experiments. These reactions were monitored by FTIR/ATR, and the formation of poly(ether‐ester)s with a pendant bulky phosphorylated group was shown. © 2006Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A new silicon‐containing spiroorthoester, 1,4,6‐trioxaspiro [4,4]‐2‐nonylmethyl 3‐trimethylsilyl propionate (SOE? Si), was synthesized with good yield by an esterification reaction with a previously synthesized 2‐hydroxymethyl‐1,4,6‐trioxaspiro [4,4] nonane (SOE? OH) and trimethylsilyl propionic acid. The structure of the new SOE? Si was confirmed by 1H and 3C NMR. The SOE? Si and a mixture of DGEBA/SOE? Si were polymerized with ytterbium triflate as a cationic initiator. The curing was studied with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and monitored by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The materials were characterized with DSC, termogravimetric analysis (TGA) and thermodynamomechanical analysis (DMTA). The volume change was evaluated with a Micromeritics gas pycnometer and the flame retardancy was tested by the limiting oxygen index (LOI) measurements. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A new diepoxide and a new diamine, both bearing bis‐(9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐oxide‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene‐10‐yl‐)‐substituted methylene linkages, were prepared through the reaction of 9,10‐dihydro‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene‐10‐oxide with benzophenone derivatives via a simple addition reaction followed by a dehydration reaction. These two compounds were used as monomers for preparing cured epoxy resins with high phosphorus contents. The resultant epoxy resins showed high glass‐transition temperatures (between 131 and 196 °C). All of the cured epoxy resins exhibited high thermal stability, with 5% weight loss temperatures over 316 °C, and excellent flame retardancy, with limited oxygen index values of 37–50. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. A new phosphorous‐containing fatty acid diepoxide was obtained from 10‐undecenoyl chloride and 10‐(2′,5′‐dihydroxyphenyl)‐9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene‐10‐oxide and crosslinked with 4,4′‐diaminodiphenylmethane and bis(m‐aminophenyl)methylphosphine oxide. The properties of the thermosetting materials were evaluated by differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic mechanical thermal analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, and limiting oxygen index (LOI). Thermal and thermooxidative degradation was studied by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, FTIR, 31P magic angle spinning NMR spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. LOI values indicate good flame‐retardant properties that are related to the formation of a protective phosphorous‐rich layer that slowed down the degradation and prevented it from being total. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The curing system of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) with two phosphorus‐containing amine compounds—bis(3‐aminophenyl)methyl phosphine oxide and bis(4‐aminophenyl)‐bis(9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐oxide‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene‐10‐yl)methane—was studied with differential scanning calorimetry under isothermal and nonisothermal conditions and compared with the DGEBA/diamino diphenyl methane system. The isoconversional method was used to evaluate the dependence of the effective activation energy on the extent of conversion. Modulated differential scanning calorimetry and dynamic mechanical thermal analysis were used to study the phenomena of vitrification and gelation. The thermal and flame‐retardant properties were evaluated, and the limiting oxygen index values of the phosphorylated resins, above 30, confirmed that phosphorus‐containing epoxy resins are effective flame retardants. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We synthesized a novel phosphorus‐containing triamine [9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene 10‐yl‐tris(4‐aminophenyl) methane (dopo‐ta)] from the nucleophilic addition of 9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene 10‐oxide and pararosaniline chloride, using triethylamine as an acid receiver. We confirmed the structure of dopo‐ta by IR, mass, and NMR spectra and elemental analysis. dopo‐ta served as a curing agent for diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) and dicyclopentadiene epoxy (hp7200). Properties such as the glass‐transition temperature (Tg), thermal decomposition temperature, flame retardancy, moisture absorption, and dielectric properties of the cured epoxy resins were evaluated. The Tg's of cured DGEBA/dopo‐ta and hp7200/dopo‐ta were 171 and 190 °C, respectively. This high Tg phenomenon is rarely seen in the literature after the introduction of a flame‐retardant element. The flame retardancy increased with the phosphorus content, and a UL‐94 V‐0 grade was achieved with a phosphorus content of 1.80 wt % for DGEBA/dopo‐ta/diamino diphenylmethane (DDM) systems and 1.46 wt % for hp7200/dopo‐ta/DDM systems. The dielectric constants for DGEBA/dopo‐ta and hp7200/dopo‐ta were 2.91 and 2.82, respectively, implying that the dopo‐ta curing systems exhibited low dielectric properties. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Novel biobased epoxy resins were prepared from two fatty acid derivatives; epoxidized 10‐undecenoyl triglyceride and epoxidized methyl 3,4,5‐tris(10‐undecenoyloxy)benzoate, with 4,4′‐diaminodiphenylmethane as a crosslinking agent. The flame retardancy of these epoxy resins was improved by the addition of 10‐[2′, 5′‐bis(9‐oxiranyl‐nonayloxy)phenyl]‐9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene‐10‐oxide and by crosslinking with a phosphorus‐containing curing agent, bis(m‐aminophenyl)methylphosphine oxide. The thermal, thermomechanical, and flame‐retardant properties of the cured materials were measured with differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, dynamic mechanical analysis, and the limiting oxygen index. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. New diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP)‐containing amorphous conjugated polymers, such as poly(3‐(5‐((9,10‐bis((4‐hexylphenyl)ethynyl)‐6‐(prop‐1‐ynyl)anthracen‐2‐yl)ethynyl) thiophen‐2‐yl)‐5‐(2‐hexyldecyl)‐2‐(2‐octyldodecyl)‐6‐(thiophen‐2‐yl)pyrrolo[3,4‐c]pyrrole‐1,4(2H,5H)‐dione) ( 4 ), and poly(3‐(5‐((2,6‐bis((4‐hexylphenyl)ethynyl)‐10‐(prop‐1‐ynyl)anthracen‐9‐yl)ethynyl)thiophen‐2‐yl)‐2,5‐bis(2‐octyldodecyl)‐6‐(thio phen‐2‐yl)pyrrolo[3,4‐c]pyrrole‐1,4(2H,5H)‐dione) ( 7 ), were successfully synthesized via Sonogashira coupling reactions under microwave conditions. Copolymer 7 , incorporating a DPP moiety at the 9,10‐position of the anthracene ring through a triple bond, showed a much lower bandgap energy (Eg = 1.81 eV) than copolymer 4 (Eg = 2.13 eV). Tuning of the molecular frontier orbital energies was achieved by only changing the anchoring position of dithiophenyl‐DPP from the 2,6‐ to the 9,10‐position in the anthracene ring. Because of the donor–acceptor (D–A) interaction and the two‐dimensional planar structure of the X‐shaped donor monomer, the resulting polymers showed good interchain π?π stacking in the thin‐film state, despite being amorphous polymers. When the newly synthesized polymer 7 was used as a semiconductor material in an organic thin‐film transistor, the best mobility of up to 0.12 cm2 V?1 s?1 (Ion/off = ~ 4.4 × 106) was observed, which is one of the highest values recorded for amorphous polymer films reported to date. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The synthesis of a bis[(1,4,6-trioxaspiro[4.4]nonan-2-yl)-methyloxy] ethane (bisSOE) and its copolymerisation with mixtures of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) and different phosphorus-containing glycidyl compounds led to materials with enhanced flame retardancy and low shrinkage on crosslinking. Analogous materials were obtained by reaction of mixtures where the spiroorthoester (SOE) is formed in the reaction medium from γ-butyrolactone and a diglycidyl compound. The incorporation of phosphorus in the networks increases the LOI values and all crosslinked polymers showed a slight shrinkage after curing, much lower than that observed in conventional epoxy resins. The materials from preformed SOE showed lower shrinkage than the analogues from lactone and epoxy groups.  相似文献

Two flame‐retardant epoxy curing agents, 9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene‐10‐yl‐tris(4‐hydroxyphenyl)methane (1) and 9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene‐10‐yl‐ (4‐aminophenyl)‐bis(4‐hydroxyphenyl)methane (2), were prepared by a facile, economic, one‐pot procedure. The structures of the curing agents were confirmed by IR, high‐resolution mass, 1‐D, and 2‐D NMR spectra. A reaction mechanism was proposed for the preparation, and the effect of electron withdrawing/donating effects on the stabilization of the carbocation was discussed. (1‐2) served as curing agents for diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA), dicyclopentadiene epoxy (HP‐7200), and cresol novolac epoxy (CNE). Properties such as glass transition temperature, coefficient of thermal expansion, thermal decomposition temperature, and flame retardancy of the resulting epoxy thermosets were evaluated. The resulting epoxy thermosets show high Tg, low thermal expansion, moderate thermostability, and excellent flame retardancy. The bulky biphenylene phosphinate pendant makes polymer chains difficult to rotate, explaining the high Tg and low thermal expansion characteristic. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The synthesis, one‐ and two‐photon absorption (TPA) and emission properties of two novel 2,6‐anthracenevinylene‐based copolymers, poly[9,10‐bis(3,4‐bis(2‐ethylhexyloxy)phenyl)‐2,6‐anthracenevinylene‐alt‐N‐octyl‐3,6‐carbazolevinyl‐ene] ( P1 ) and poly[9,10‐bis(3,4‐bis(2‐ethylhexyloxy)phenyl)‐2,6‐anthracenevinyl‐ene‐alt‐N‐octyl‐2,7‐carbazolevinylene] ( P2 ) were reported. The as‐synthesized polymers have the number‐average molecular weights of 1.56 × 104 for P1 and 1.85 × 104 g mol?1 for P2 and are readily soluble in common organic solvents. They emit strong bluish‐green one‐ and two‐photon excitation fluorescence in dilute toluene solution (? P1 = 0.85, ? P2 = 0.78, λem( P1 ) = 491 nm, λem( P2 ) = 483 nm). The maximal TPA cross‐sections of P1 and P2 measured by the two‐photon‐induced fluorescence method using femtosecond laser pulses in toluene are 840 and 490 GM per repeating unit, respectively, which are obviously larger than that (210 GM) of poly[9,10‐bis‐(3,4‐bis(2‐ethylhexyloxy) phenyl)‐2,6‐anthracenevinylene], indicating that the poly(2,6‐anthracenevinylene) derivatives with large TPA cross‐sections can be obtained by inserting electron‐donating moieties into the polymer backbone. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The radical copolymerization of unsaturated spiroorthoesters such as 2-methylene-1,4,6-trioxaspiro[4.6]undecane (SOE I) and 2-methylene-9-methyl-1,4,6-trioxaspiro[4,5]decane (SOE II) with vinyl monomers was carried out to find that SOE I and SOE II were copolymerized with electron-poor olefins such as methyl acrylate, acrylonitrile, and methyl methacrylate to obtain the corresponding copolymers containing spiroorthoester moieties, respectively. The obtained copolymers were treated with BF3.OEt2 or BzS+SbF to afford crosslinked polymers undergoing expansion in volume on crosslinking in those cases of copolymers of SOE I.  相似文献

We reveal a route for the preparation of phosphinated bisphenol, 1,1‐bis(4‐hydroxyphenyl)‐1‐(6‐oxido‐6H‐dibenz <c,e> <1,2> oxaphosphorin‐6‐yl)ethane (2) , via a one‐pot reaction of 1,1,1‐tris(4‐hydroxyphenyl)ethane and 9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene 10‐oxide (DOPO) in the catalysis of p‐toluenesulfonic acid. A two‐step reaction mechanism, acid‐fragmentation of 1,1,1‐tris(4‐hydroxyphenyl)ethane followed by nucleophilic addition of DOPO, is proposed for the synthesis. Based on (2) , a dicyanate ester derivative, 1,1‐bis(4‐cyanatophenyl)‐1‐(6‐oxido‐6H‐dibenz <c,e> <1,2> oxaphosphorin‐6‐yl)ethane (3) was prepared and co‐cured with a commercially available dicyanate ester, the dicyanate ester of bisphenol A (BACY). Experimental data show that incorporating (3) into BACY enhances the flame retardancy and dielectric properties with little penalty to the thermal properties. A thermoset with Tg 274 °C, coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) 49 ppm/°C, Dk 3.04 (1 GHz), Td (5%,) N2: 435 °C, air: 424 °C, and UL‐94 V‐0 rating can be achieved via this approach. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Herein, we present an innovative, novel, and highly convenient protocol for the synthesis of 3‐(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐5‐sec‐aminobiphenyl‐4‐carbonitriles ( 6a , 6b , 6c , 6d , 6e , 6f , 6g ) and 9,10‐dihydro‐3‐(pyridine‐2‐yl)‐1‐sec‐aminophenanthrene‐2‐carbonitriles ( 10a , 10b , 10c , 10d , 10e ), which have been delineated from the reaction of 4‐sec‐amino‐2‐oxo‐6‐aryl‐2H‐pyran‐3‐carbonitrile ( 4a , 4b , 4c , 4d , 4e , 4f , 4g ) and 4‐sec‐amino‐2‐oxo‐5,6‐dihydro‐2H‐benzo[h]chromene‐3‐carbonitriles ( 9a , 9b , 9c , 9d , 9e ) with 2‐acetylpyridine ( 5 ) through the ring transformation reaction by using KOH/DMF system at RT. The salient feature of this procedure is to provide a transition metal‐free route for the synthesis of asymmetrical 1,3‐teraryls like 3‐(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐5‐sec‐aminobiphenyl‐4‐carbonitriles ( 6a , 6b , 6c , 6d , 6e , 6f , 6g ) and 9,10‐dihydro‐3‐(pyridine‐2‐yl)‐1‐sec‐aminophenanthrene‐2‐carbonitriles ( 10a , 10b , 10c , 10d , 10e ). The novelty of the reaction lies in the creation of an aromatic ring from 2H‐pyran‐2‐ones and 2H‐benzo[h]chromene‐3‐carbonitriles via two‐carbon insertion from 2‐acetylpyridine ( 5 ) used as a source of carbanion.  相似文献

Novel halogen‐free compounds [9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphanthrene‐10‐oxide/vinyl methyl dimethoxysilane/N‐β‐(aminoethyl)‐γ‐aminopropyl methyl dimethoxysilane (DOPO–VMDMS–NMDMS)] that simultaneously contain phosphorus, nitrogen, and silicon have been synthesized through the reaction of 9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphanthrene‐10‐oxide (DOPO), vinyl methyl dimethoxysilane (VMDMS), and N‐β‐(aminoethyl)‐γ‐aminopropyl methyl dimethoxysilane (NMDMS). The chemical structure and properties of DOPO–VMDMS–NMDMS have been investigated with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic resonance, phosphorous nuclear magnetic resonance, and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). These synthesized flame retardants have been blended with a poly[2,2‐propane‐(bisphenol) carbonate]/acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (PC/ABS) alloy. The flame‐retardant properties of these mixture samples have been estimated with the limiting oxygen index (LOI), and the thermal stability has been characterized with TGA. The LOI value of PC/ABS/DOPO–VMDMS–NMDMS is enhanced up to 27.2 vol % from 21.2 vol %, and the char yield is also improved slightly (from 12 to 17%) with 2.8 wt % phosphorus, 3.0 wt % silicon, and 0.5 wt % nitrogen (at a 30 wt % loading of DOPO–VMDMS–NMDMS). The results show that there is a synergistic effect of the elements phosphorus, silicon, and nitrogen on the flame retardance. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. New photoreactive calixarene derivatives containing spiro ortho ester groups (calixarenes 3a–3c ) were synthesized by the reaction of 2‐bromomethyl‐1,4,6‐trioxaspiro[4.4]nonane with 2,8,14,20‐tetramethyl‐4,6,10,12,16,18,22,24‐octakis(carboxymethoxy)calix[4]resorcinarene, 5,11,17,23,29,35‐hexamethyl‐37,38,39,40,41,42‐hexakis(carboxymethoxy)calix[6]arene, and 5,11,17,23,29,35,41,47‐octa‐tert‐butyl‐49,50,51,52, 53,54,55,56‐octakis‐(carboxymethoxy)calix[8]arene, which were prepared by the reaction of C‐methylcalix[4]resorcinarene, p‐methylcalix[6]arene, and ptert‐butylcalix[8]arene, respectively. The thermal stability of the obtained calixarene derivatives containing spiro ortho ester groups was examined with thermogravimetric analysis, and it was found that these calixarene derivatives had good thermal stability. The photoinitiated cationic polymerization of spiro ortho ester groups in calixarene derivatives 3a–3c was examined with certain photoacid generators in the film state. Interestingly enough, the reaction of calixarene derivatives did not proceed with only photoirradiation; however, the reaction proceeded smoothly when the photoirradiation was followed by heating. Furthermore, calixarene 3a , composed of a C‐methylcalix[4]resorcinarene structure, showed the highest photochemical reactivity in this reaction system. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Four new conjugated copolymers based on the moiety of bis(4‐hexylthiophen‐2‐yl)‐6,7‐diheptyl‐[1,2,5]thiadiazolo[3,4‐g]quinoxaline (BTHTQ) were synthesized and characterized, including poly(6,7‐diheptyl‐4,9‐bis(4‐hexylthiophen‐2‐yl)‐[1,2,5]thiadiazolo[3,4‐g]quinoxaline) (PBTHTQ), poly‐(6,7‐diheptyl‐4,9‐bis(4‐hexylthiophen‐2‐yl)‐[1,2,5]thiadiazolo‐[3,4‐g]quinoxaline‐alt‐2,5‐thiophene) (PTTHTQ), poly(6,7‐diheptyl‐4,9‐bis(4‐hexylthiophen‐2‐yl) [1,2,5]‐thiadiazolo‐[3,4‐g]quinoxaline‐alt‐9,9‐dioctyl‐2,7‐fluore‐ne) (PFBTHTQ), and poly(6,7‐diheptyl‐4,9‐bis(4‐hexylthiophen‐2‐yl)‐[1,2,5]thiadiazolo[3,4‐g]quinoxaline‐alt‐1,4‐bis(decyloxy)phenylene) (PPBTHTQ). The λmax of PBTHTQ, PTTHTQ, PFBTHTQ, and PPBTHTP thin films was shown at 780, 876, 734, and 710 nm, respectively, with the corresponding optical band gaps (E) of 1.31, 1.05, 1.40, and 1.43 eV. The relatively small band gaps of the synthesized polymers suggested the significance of intramolecular charge transfer between the donor and TQ moiety. The estimated hole mobilities of PBTHTQ, PTTHTQ, and PFBTHTQ‐based field effect transistor devices using CHCl3 solvent were 8.5 × 10?5, 8.5 × 10?4, and 2.8 × 10?5 cm2 V?1 s?1, respectively, but significantly enhanced to 1.6 × 10?4, 3.8 × 10?3, and 1.5 × 10?4 cm2 V?1 s?1 using high boiling point solvent of chlorobenzene (CB). The higher hole mobility of PTTHTQ than the other two copolymers was attributed from its smaller band gap or ordered morphology [wormlike (chloroform) or needle‐like (CB)]. The characteristics of small band gap and high mobility suggest the potential applications of the BTHTQ‐based conjugated copolymers in electronic and optoelectronic devices. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Two types of main‐chain type polybenzoxazines with amide and benzoxazine groups as repeating units in the main chain, termed as poly(amide‐benzoxazine), have been synthesized. They have been prepared by polycondensation reaction of primary amine‐bifunctional benzoxazine with adipoyl and isophthaloyl dichloride using dimethylacetamide as solvent. Additionally, a model reaction is designed from the reaction of 3,3′‐(4,4′‐methylenebis(4,1‐phenylene))bis(3,4‐dihydro‐2H‐benzo[e][1,3]oxazin‐6‐amine) with benzoyl chloride. The structures of model compound and polyamides are confirmed by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) spectroscopies. Differential scanning calorimetry and FTIR are also used to study crosslinking behavior of both the model compound and polymers. Thermal properties of the crosslinked polymers are also studied by thermogravimetric analysis. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem, 2011  相似文献

Synthesis and Reactivity of 2‐Bromo‐1,3‐diethyl‐2,3‐dihydro‐1 H ‐1,3,2‐benzodiazaborole Molecular Structure of Bis(1,3‐diethyl‐2,3‐dihydro‐1 H ‐1,3,2‐benzodiazaborol‐2‐yl The reaction of a slurry of calcium hydride in toluene with N,N′‐diethyl‐o‐phenylenediamine ( 1 ) and boron tribromide affords 2‐bromo‐1,3‐diethyl‐2,3‐dihydro‐1 H‐1,3,2‐benzodiazaborol ( 2 ) as a colorless oil. Compound 2 is converted into 2‐cyano‐1,3‐diethyl‐2,3‐dihydro‐1 H‐1,3,2‐benzodiazaborole ( 3 ) by treatment with silver cyanide in acetonitrile. Reaction of 2 with an equimolar amount of methyllithium affords 1,3‐diethyl‐2‐methyl‐2,3‐dihydro‐1 H‐1,3,2‐benzodiazaborole ( 4 ). 1,3,2‐Benzodiazaborole is smoothly reduced by a potassium‐sodium alloy to yield bis(1,3‐diethyl‐2,3‐dihydro‐1 H‐1,3,2‐benzodiazaborol‐2‐yl] ( 7 ), which crystallizes from n‐pentane as colorless needles. Compound 7 is also obtained from the reaction of 2 and LiSnMe3 instead of the expected 2‐trimethylstannyl‐1,3,2‐benzodiazaborole. N,N′‐Bis(1,3‐diethyl‐2,3‐dihydro‐1 H‐1,3,2‐benzodiazaborol‐2‐ yl)‐1,2‐diamino‐ethane ( 6 ) results from the reaction of 2 with Li(en)C≡CH as the only boron containing product. Compounds 2 – 4 , 6 and 7 are characterized by means of elemental analyses and spectroscopy (IR, 1H‐, 11B{1H}‐, 13C{1H}‐NMR, MS). The molecular structure of 7 was elucidated by X‐ray diffraction analysis.  相似文献
