In this paper, we theoretically investigate the spatial resolution of a triangular two-dimensional photonic crystal superlens. We prove that this resolution can be improved by optimizing the air hole radius as well as the air hole shape. First, it is found that by decreasing the radius of the air holes, the spatial resolution is improved significantly. Next, we demonstrate that using elliptic air holes instead of circular air holes in a triangular two-dimensional photonic crystal can leads to good-quality images and focusing, with effective refractive index neff=−1 and enhanced image resolution. It is also shown that for the case of two sources, the resolution of such a photonic crystal lens can be made indeed better than the radiation wavelength.  相似文献

亚波长尺度光子晶体结构可有效提升发光二极管(LED)的光提取效率(LEE),然而在制造过程中会存在缺陷或无序.利用时域有限差分法对理想方形光子晶体结构进行了优化,在此基础上对三种无序光子晶体结构进行了仿真,研究了光子晶体结构参数的无序变化对GaN基蓝光LED LEE的影响.结果表明,光子晶体空气孔位置和半径的无序变化使优化的80 nm光子晶体LED的LEE下降,而可使非优化的60nm光子晶体LED的LEE增加;当光子晶体空气孔位置和半径的无序变化量从0到士20 nm之间变化时,LEE最大会产生53.8%的浮动;光子晶体刻蚀深度的无序变化对LEE影响较小,一般可以忽略,研究结果为高性能蓝光光子晶体LED的设计制作提供了重要的理论参考.  相似文献

用时域有限差分方法对氧化孔限制型外腔式光子晶体垂直腔面发射激光器 (VCSEL) 在小氧化孔下氧化孔形状对激光器模式特性的影响进行了模拟计算. 建立了三维光子晶体面发射激光器光场计算模型, 分析了氧化孔形状变化对器件远场特性与频率特性的影响. 研究发现, 氧化孔形状可影响光子晶体VCSEL的模式特性, 尤其是频谱特性. 从模场分布的角度可解释为菱形氧化孔的对称性与高阶模的不一致. 但随着光子晶体刻蚀深度的增加和氧化孔的增大, 这种影响逐渐减小, 分析解释了其原因. 研究结果为提高光子晶体面发射激光器的性能提供了参考.  相似文献

为了了解深径比对邱克拉斯基(Czochralski)结构内旋转驱动流动的影响,利用有限容积法进行了三维非稳态数值模拟。结果表明:随着液池深径比的增加,流动逐渐加强,当旋转速度超过某一临界值后,流动转变为三维非稳态振荡流动。随着液池深径比的增加,速度波振荡幅度增大,速度波波数和周向传播方向都随之改变;浅液池内坩埚旋转作用占主导地位,速度波传播方向与坩埚旋转方向相同,深液池内晶体旋转大于坩埚旋转对流动的影响,速度波传播方向和晶体旋转方向相同。  相似文献

We characterize the transmission spectra of out-of-plane, normal-incidence light of two-dimensional silicon photonic crystal slabs and observe excellent agreement between the measured data and finite-difference time-domain simulations over the 1050-1600-nm wavelength range. Crystals that are 340 nm thick and have holes of 330-nm radius on a square lattice of 998-nm pitch show 20-dB extinction in transmission from 1220 to 1255 nm. Increasing the hole radius to 450 nm broadens the extinction band further, and we obtain >85% extinction from 1310 to 1550 nm. Discrepancies between simulation and measurement are ascribed to disorder in the photonic lattice, which is measured through image processing on high-resolution scanning electron micrographs. Analysis of crystal imperfections indicates that they tend to average out narrowband spectral features, while having relatively small effects on broadband features.  相似文献

基于平面波展开法,以介电常数分别为1F/m和12F/m的物质构成三角晶格二维光子晶体,改变空气孔半径r与晶格常数a之间的大小,数值模拟得到了三角晶格二维光子晶体横磁模带隙,当r=.4α时形成三处三角晶格二维光子晶体横磁模的带隙,其中最大三角晶格二维光子晶体横磁模带隙出现在0.6766—0.8000Hz,差值为0.1234Hz。研究结论为光子晶体器件的制作提供参考。  相似文献

The development of analysis and simulation of propagation characteristics of photonic crystal fiber (PCF) using scalar and fully vectorial effective index methods are described. As a result, we report how the fundamental space filling mode, guided mode and dispersion of the PCF depends on its structural parameters like its normalized air hole spacing, center-to-center spacing of the air holes in the photonic crystal or pitch and radius of the unit cell. Normalized frequency parameter Veff as a function of normalized wavelength for various relative air hole sizes is obtained to estimate the dispersion characteristics of PCF. It is observed that wavelength of zero dispersion, ultraflattened dispersion response and high negative dispersion remarkably differ from two different effective index methods.  相似文献

The lattice-vibrating metal photonic crystal is exactly a system of dynamical Casimir effect connected in series, and so we can expect that a dynamical Casimir effect is enhanced by the photonic band effect. In the present study, when an electromagnetic field between metal plates is in the ground state in a one-dimensional metal photonic crystal, the radiation of electromagnetic wave in excited states has been investigated by artificially introducing lattice vibration to the photonic crystal. In this case as well as a dynamical Casimir effect, it has been shown that the harmonics of a ground state are generated just by vibrating a photonic crystal even without an incident wave. The dependencies of the radiating power on the number of layers and on the wavenumber of the lattice vibration are remarkable. It has been found that the radiation amplitude on lower excited states is not necessarily large and radiation on specific excited levels is large.  相似文献

We present TE transmission measurements of photonic crystal waveguides with high hole radius to period ratio r/Λ = 0.388. This geometry introduces a unique low loss transmission band in addition to the traditional PhC guiding band and very sharp transmission edges for devices with a length of 50 μm or longer. Finite difference time domain and plane wave expansion simulations confirm the results and show that the sharpness of the cutoffs can be explained by the spectral shape of the guiding mode in the band diagram.  相似文献

提出了一种基于表面等离子体共振(SPR)效应增强的光子晶体光纤折射率传感器。该传感器结构通过光纤熔接机拼接光子晶体光纤(PCF),在光子晶体光纤中间引入一个空气孔形成PCF-空气孔-PCF的光纤传感结构,随后使用磁控溅射镀膜工艺在其表面沉积一层薄金膜制备而成。实验探究了折射率及温度对传感器的响应。结果表明,在1.333~1.389的折射率范围内,所提出的传感器的平均折射率灵敏度为2 142.52 nm,且测量线性度为0.981,品质因子约13.10。实验结果表明该传感器对温度不敏感。相比于无空气孔的PCF传感结构,引入的空气孔增强了SPR效应,使得传感器拥有良好的共振峰深度。得益于上述优势,该类型传感器有望在生物医学、环境监测等领域得到应用。  相似文献

采用有限元法,计算了二维三角晶格椭圆形格点空气孔型光子晶体的TE、TM模式的带隙结构。通过对椭圆形空气孔格点的大小、方向进行改变,研究了填充比、格点方向对带隙的影响。计算结果表明,在空气孔型光子晶体中TE模式更容易形成带隙;不同填充比情况下,格点方向对TE模式和TM模的带隙变化都具有不同影响;不论格点方向如何变化,均未出现完全带隙。  相似文献

为实现结构紧凑、高灵敏度的光纤压力(液压)传感器,提出了一种应用于液压传感的边孔结构光子晶体光纤.基于全矢量有限元方法,研究了传统光子晶体光纤和边孔结构光子晶体光纤的有效折射、模式等特性以及在液压情况下的应力和应力特性.根据光弹效应给出了传统光子晶体光纤和边孔结构光子晶体光纤在液压情况下的折射率变化特性.模拟结果表明边孔结构光子晶体光纤可以获得更大的液压传感灵敏度,增大边孔半径可以提高液压传感灵敏度,因此结构优化的边孔结构光子晶体光纤可以实现高灵敏度的光纤压力(液压)压力传感器.  相似文献

A numerical analysis of extrinsic diffraction losses in two-dimensional photonic crystal slabs with line defects is reported. To model disorder, a Gaussian distribution of hole radii in the triangular lattice of airholes is assumed. The extrinsic losses below the light line increase quadratically with the disorder parameter, decrease slightly with increasing core thickness, and depend weakly on the hole radius. For typical values of the disorder parameter the calculated loss values of guided modes below the light line compare favorably with available experimental results.  相似文献

采用全矢量有限元方法进行光纤设计优化,得到横截面上失去两层空气洞的双芯光子晶体光纤,可用于液压传感.优化的双芯光子晶体光纤的模场半径和数值孔径与单模光纤基本一致,在优化的双芯光子晶体光纤和单模光纤之间有一个相对较低的熔接损耗.计算结果表明由模场半径和数值孔径导致的不匹配造成的总共损耗可低至0.026 dB,低于传统光子晶体光纤和单模光纤0.1 dB的直接熔接损耗.对基于20 cm双芯光子晶体光纤的液压传感器的性能进行研究,结果表明在0~500 MPa量程内的灵敏度为-1.6 pm/MPa.  相似文献

The influence of disorders in the fabrication process on the focusing performance of two-dimensional optical quasicrystal slab is investigated. Two types of disorders are considered: positional randomness and radius randomness. The change in field distribution for E polarization and H polarization is examined by using the finite-difference time-domain method. We find that for both polarizations disorder has a detrimental effect on the focusing performance of quasicrystal lens. The tolerance of the focusing function to structural disorders is examined in detail. We show that the focusing quality is much more sensitive to the fluctuation of radius than to the randomness of position. These results will be helpful in devising photonic imaging devices based on quasiperiod photonic crystals.  相似文献

The spatial statistics of a partially coherent light wave in a randomly inhomogeneous medium is considered on the basis of perturbation theory. The equations for the spatial coherence function of the light wave in a nonlinear irregular medium were solved. 光子晶体光纤由于其灵活可调的色散特性用作色散补偿具有极大的应用潜力. 设计了一种色散补偿光子晶体光纤, 并运用频域有限差分法模拟了其色散特性,从理论上分析了其结构参数孔间距Λ和空气占空比d/Λ对该光子晶体光纤的色散系数的影响, 并且实际制备出了3种不同结构参数的光子晶体光纤. 通过对其色散曲线对比分析表明: 当光子晶体光纤孔间距在1 μm附近时, 其色散系数随着孔间距Λ和占空比d/Λ的增大而增加, 但对于孔间距Λ的变化比占空比d/Λ更为敏感, 并且随着孔间距Λ的增加,其对色散系数的影响能力逐渐减小. 设计并制备的光子晶体光纤在1550 nm处的色散系数为-241.5 ps·nm-1·km-1, 相对色散斜率为0.0018, 具有较好的色散补偿能力. 关键词: 色散 色散补偿 光子晶体光纤 结构参数  相似文献
