We study entanglement of the cavity modes in a double-cavity optomechanical system in strong-coupling regime. The system is consist of two optomechanical systems coupled by a single photon hopping between them. With the radiation pressure of the photon, entanglement of the cavity modes can be generated. The average concurrence of the cavity modes is at least twice larger than that of the mechanical modes. Moreover, when we change the ratio between coupling strength and resonant frequency of mechanical modes, the entanglement in cavity and mechanical modes are influenced differently.

In this work, we study an entanglement concentration scheme in a 3-mode optomechanical system. The scheme is based on phonon counting measurements, which can be performed through photon counting of an auxiliary cavity connected to the mechanical resonator. The amount of entanglement between the two cavity output modes is found to increase logarithmically with the number of detected phonons(photons). Such an entanglement concentration scheme is deterministic since, independently of the number of detected phonons(photons), the measurement always leads to an increase in output entanglement. Besides numerical simulations,we provide analytical results and physical insight for the improved entanglement and the concentration efficiency.

We investigate the generation of quantum correlations between mechanical modes and optical modes in an optomechanical system, using the rotating wave approximation. The system is composed of two Fabry-Perot cavities separated in space;each of the two cavities has a movable end-mirror.Our aim is the evaluation of entanglement between mechanical modes and optical modes, generated by correlations transfer from the squeezed light to the system, using Gaussian intrinsic entanglement as a witness of entanglement in continuous variables Gaussian states, and the quantification of the degree of mixedness of the Gaussian states using the purity. Then,we quantify nonclassical correlations between mechanical modes and optical modes even beyond entanglement by considering Gaussian geometric discord via the Hellinger distance.Indeed, entanglement, mixdness, and quantum discord are analyzed as a function of the parameters characterizing the system(thermal bath temperature, squeezing parameter, and optomechanical cooperativity). We find that, under thermal effect, when entanglement vanishes, purity and quantum discord remain nonzero.Remarkably, the Gaussian Hellinger discord is more robust than entanglement. The effects of the other parameters are discussed in detail.

A scheme to generate the stationary entanglement of two distant coupled optical cavities placed optical parametric amplifiers is proposed. We study how the optical parametric amplifiers can affect the entanglement behaviors of the movable mirrors and the cavity fields. With the existence of optical parametric amplifiers, we show that larger stationary entanglement of optical and mechanical modes can be obtained and the entanglement increases with the increasing parametric gain. Especially, the degree of entanglement between the two cavity fields is more pronouncedly enhanced. Moreover, for a fixed parametric gain, the entanglement of distant cavity optomechanical systems increases as the input laser power is increased.

We investigate the coherent feedback loop scheme to improve the quantum correlations transfer from optical to mechanical degrees of freedom in a double cavity optomechanical system. We use the Duan criterion to determine the separability of the two-mode mechanical states. The logarithmic negativity is employed to quantify the amount of the entanglement between mechanical modes in steady and dynamical regimes. We show that the entanglement can be significantly enhanced by a coherent feedback using a suitable tuning of the reflectivity parameter of the beam splitter located in each cavity. We also show that this enhancement is influenced by the temperature, the light squeezing parameter and the gain of the parameter amplifier. The entanglement dynamics in presence of the coherent feedback loop is also analyzed.

The dynamics of the optomechanical entanglement between optical cavity field modes and a macroscopic mechanical breathing mode in a whispering-gallery cavity as well as the continuous variable entanglement between the phase-quadrature amplitudes of the two whispering-gallery modes have been analysed.Simulated results indicate that under state-of-the-art experimental conditions, optomechanical entanglement is obvious and can occur even at temperatures of above 40 K.Compared with the entanglement of the mechanical oscillator at the ground state temperature, optomechanical entanglement is more intense by several orders of magnitude.

We investigate the generation and the evolution of continuous-variable (CV) entanglement from a laser-driven four-state atom inside a doubly resonant cavity under Raman excitation. Two transitions in the four-state atom independently interact with the two cavity modes, while two other transitions are driven by coupling laser fields. By including the atomic relaxation as well as cavity losses, we show that the CV entanglement with large mean number of
photons can be generated in our scheme. We also show that the intensity of the coupling laser fields can influence effectively the entanglement period of the cavity field. Different from the conventional resonant excitation scheme where zero one-photon detuning are required, it is found that the intensity and period of entanglement between the two cavity modes as well as the total mean photon number of the cavity field can be adjusted by properly
modulating the frequency detuning.

We proposed a scheme for generating fully three-mode continuous-variable (CV) entanglement between three nondegenerate cavity modes in a single-atom laser. In our scheme, the single-atom laser consists of a four-level atom inside a triply resonant cavity, and the atomic coherence is induced by two classical laser fields driving the corresponding atomic transitions. To demonstrate the generation of entanglement, we numerically simulated the dynamics of this system, and the numerical simulation shows that the single-atom laser considered here can be seen as a three-mode CV entanglement amplifier even in the presence of cavity losses. Moreover, we also show that the generation of entanglement doesn’t depend intensively on the initial condition of cavity field, and the fully three-mode CV entanglement can be realized no matter the three entangled (nondegenerate) modes are initially in the same state or different states based on our scheme.

A hybrid cavity magnomechanical system to transfer the bipartite entanglements and achieve the strong microwave photon–phonon entanglement based on the reservoir engineering approach is constructed. The magnon mode is coupled to the microwave cavity mode via magnetic dipole interaction and to the phonon mode via magnetostrictive force (optomechanical-like). It is shown that the initial magnon-phonon entanglement can be transferred to the photon-phonon subspace in the case of these two interactions cooperating. In the reservoir-engineering parameter regime, the initial entanglement is directionally transferred to the photon-phonon subsystem, so a strong bipartite entanglement in which the magnon mode acts as the cold reservoir to effectively cool the Bogoliubov mode delocalized over the cavity and the mechanical deformation mode is obtained. Moreover, dual-mode cooling is realized by engineering the dissipation of photon and phonon modes within the target mode, which allows entanglement to be further enhanced. The results indicate that the steady-state entanglement is robust against temperature. The dual-mode cooling reservoir engineering scheme can potentially be extended to other three-mode quantum systems.

We investigate the bistable properties and the entanglement in a two-mode cavity optomechanical system. Our results show that the bistable regime in terms of pumping amplitude can be adjusted by tuning the detunning. Although the two modes of the cavity interact with the same mechanical mode, there is no entanglement between them, while the two modes entangle with the mechanical mode seperately.

In this paper, we propose a scheme to generate an entangled state between two spatially separated movable mirrors by injecting the two-mode squeezed optical reservoir to the dissipative optomechanics, in which the movable mirrors can modulate the linewidth of the cavity modes. When the coupling between the mirrors and the corresponding cavity modes is weak, the two driven cavity fields can respectively behave as the squeezed-vacuum reservoir for the two movable mirrors by utilizing the effect of completely destructive interference of quantum noise. Thus the mechanical modes are prepared in a two-mode squeezed vacuum state. Moreover, when the coupling between the two mirrors and the cavities modes is strong, the entanglement between the two movable mirrors decreases because photonic excitation can preclude the completely destructive interference of quantum noise, but the movable mirrors are still entangled.

We propose a theoretical method of generating a three-mode continuous-variable entanglement in an optical cavity with an atomic cloud. The scheme uses Raman transitions between stable atomic ground states and under the input-output theory a three-mode entangled light of the output fields can be produced. The characters of the tripartite entanglement, the degree of the quadrature-phase amplitude correlations among the three modes are discussed by applying a sufficient inseparability criterion for multipartite continuous-variable entanglement, which was proposed by van Loock and Furusawa. The dependences of the correlation on the effective coupling constants are theoretically analyzed.

We investigate the quantum entanglement in a double-cavity optomechanical system consisting of an optomechanical cavity and an auxiliary cavity, where the optomechanical cavity mode couples with the mechanical mode via radiation-pressure interaction, and simultaneously couples with the auxiliary cavity mode via nonreciprocal coupling. We study the entanglement between the mechanical oscillator and the cavity modes when the two cavities are reciprocally or nonreciprocally coupled. The logarithmic negativity $E_{n}^{(1)}$ ($E_{n}^{(2)}$) is adopted to describe the entanglement degree between the mechanical mode and the optomechanical cavity mode (the auxiliary cavity mode). We find that both $E_{n}^{(1)}$ and $E_{n}^{(2)}$ have maximum values in the case of reciprocal coupling. By using nonreciprocal coupling, $E_{n}^{(1)}$ and $E_{n}^{(2)}$ can exceed those maximum values, and a wider detuning region where the entanglement exists can be obtained. Moreover, the entanglement robustness with respect to the environment temperature is also effectively enhanced.

We show that entangled entanglement can be obtained from a multimode Raman laser. In this system, all lasing modes constitute a quantum-beat. Equivalently, one collective mode is operated well above threshold and exhibits the sub-Poissonian statistics, while other orthonormal collective modes are excluded from the interacting system and stay in vacuum states. This determines entanglement between any two sub-collections, in each of which exists entanglement between any two sub-sub-collections, and so on, if present. This scheme is accessible based on the recent experimental progress in Raman lasers.

Many quantum communication schemes rely on the resource of entanglement. For example, quantum teleportation is the transfer of arbitrary quantum states through a classical communication channel using shared entanglement. Entanglement, however, is in general not easy to produce on demand. The bottom line of this work is that a particular kind of entanglement, namely that based on continuous quantum variables, can be created relatively easily. Only squeezers and beam splitters are required to entangle arbitrarily many electromagnetic modes. Similarly, other relevant operations in quantum communication protocols become feasible in the continuous‐variable setting. For instance, measurements in the maximally entangled basis of arbitrarily many modes can be accomplished via linear optics and efficient homodyne detections. In the first two chapters, some basics of quantum optics and quantum information theory are presented. These results are then needed in Chapter III, where we characterize continuous‐variable entanglement and show how to make it. The members of a family of multi‐mode states are found to be truly multi‐party entangled with respect to all their modes. These states also violate multi‐party inequalities imposed by local realism, as we demonstrate for some members of the family. Further, we discuss how to measure and verify multi‐party continuous‐variable entanglement. Various quantum communication protocols based on the continuous‐variable entangled states are discussed and developed in Chapter IV. These include the teleportation of entanglement (entanglement swapping) as a test for genuine quantum teleportation. It is shown how to optimize the performance of continuous‐variable entanglement swapping. We highlight the similarities and differences between continuous‐variable entanglement swapping and entanglement swapping with discrete variables. Chapter IV also contains a few remarks on quantum dense coding, quantum error correction, and entanglement distillation with continuous variables, and in addition a review of quantum cryptographic schemes based on continuous variables. Finally, in Chapter V, we consider a multi‐party generalization of quantum teleportation. This so‐called telecloning means that arbitrary quantum states are transferred not only to a single receiver, but to several. However, due to the quantum mechanical no‐cloning theorem, arbitrary quantum states cannot be perfectly copied. We present a protocol that enables telecloning of arbitrary coherent states with the optimal quality allowed by quantum theory. The entangled states needed in this scheme are again producible with squeezed light and beam splitters. Although the telecloning scheme may also be used for "local'' cloning of coherent states, we show that cloning coherent states locally can be achieved in an optimal fashion without entanglement. It only requires a phase‐insensitive amplifier and beam splitters.  相似文献

We proposed a scheme to achieve two-mode CV entanglement with the frequencies of entangled modes in the infrared range in an asymmetric semiconductor double-quantum-wells (DQW), where the required quantum coherence is obtained by inducing the corresponding intersubband transitions (ISBTs) with a classical field. By numerically simulating the dynamics of system, we show that the entanglement period can be prolonged via enhancing the intensity of classical field, and the generation of entanglement doesn't depend intensively on the initial condition of system in our scheme. Moreover, we also show that a bipartite entanglement amplifier can be realized in our scheme. The present research provides an efficient approach to achieve infrared entangled light in the semiconductor nanostructure, which may have significant impact on the progress of solid-state quantum information theory.
