The exact controllability and observability for a heat equation with hyperbolic memory kernel in anisotropic and nonhomogeneous media are considered. Due to the appearance of such a kind of memory, the speed of propagation for solutions to the heat equation is finite and the corresponding controllability property has a certain nature similar to hyperbolic equations, and is significantly different from that of the usual parabolic equations. By means of Carleman estimate, we establish a positive controllability and observability result under some geometric condition. On the other hand, by a careful construction of highly concentrated approximate solutions to hyperbolic equations with memory, we present a negative controllability and observability result when the geometric condition is not satisfied.  相似文献

This paper deals with approximate and exact controllability of the wave equation in finite time with interior point control acting along a curve specified in advance in the system's spatial domain. The structure of the control input is dual to the structure of the observations which describe the measurements of velocity and gradient of the solution of the dual system, obtained from the moving point sensor. A relevant formalization of such a control problem is discussed, based on transposition. For any given timeinterval [0,T] the existence of the curves providing approximate controllability inH D –[n/2]–1 ()×H D –[n/2]–1 () (wheren stands for the space dimension) is established with controls fromL 2(0,T; R n +1). The same curves ensure exact controllability inL 2() × H–1() if controls are allowed to be selected in [L (0,T; R n+1)]. In this article, the authors establish the local null controllability property for semilinear parabolic systems in a domain whose boundary moves in time by a single control force acting on a prescribed subdomain. In this paper, we study certain unique continuation properties for solutions of the semilinear heat equation tu−△u=g(u), with the homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition, over Ω×(0,T). Ω is a bounded, convex open subset of Rd, with a smooth boundary for the subset. The function g:RR satisfies certain conditions. We establish some observation estimates for (uv), where u and v are two solutions to the above-mentioned equation. The observation is made over ω×{T}, where ω is any non-empty open subset of Ω, and T is a positive number such that both u and v exist on the interval [0,T]. At least two results can be derived from these estimates: (i) if ‖(uv)(⋅,T)L2(ω)=δ, then ‖(uv)(⋅,T)L2(Ω)?Cδα where constants C>0 and α∈(0,1) can be independent of u and v in certain cases; (ii) if two solutions of the above equation hold the same value over ω×{T}, then they coincide over Ω×[0,Tm). We are concerned with an infinite dimensional variational inequality which is connected with the dynamic oligopolistic market equilibrium problem. We will provide existence theorems and show, under minimal assumptions on the data, the Lipschitz continuity of the solution. The main purpose of this paper is the existence of solutions and controllability for semilinear boundary problems with nonlocal initial conditions. We show that the solutions are given by a variation of constants formula which allows us to study the exact controllability for this kind of problems with control and nonlinear terms at the boundary. The included application to a size structured population equation provides a motivation for abstract results.  相似文献

The first part of this paper considers the controllability for a functional semilinear differential inclusion governed by a family of operators {A(t):t[0,b]} generating an evolution operator in a Banach space in the presence of noninstantaneous impulse effects. In the second part of this paper we study the controllability for a fractional noninstantaneous impulsive semilinear differential inclusion with delay, where the linear part is an infinitesimal generator of a C0?semigroup. Using a weakly convergent criterion in the space of piecewise continuous functions and weak topology theory (for weak sequentially closed graph operators) we establish sufficient conditions to guarantee controllability results. We study several controllability properties for some semilinear parabolic PDE with a quadratic gradient term. For internal distributed controls, it is shown that the system is approximately and null controllable. The proof relies on the Cole–Hopf transformation.
