A variable transmission spectrum single-passband narrowband optical filter is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. It is based on forward stimulated interpolarization scattering (SIPS) in a photonic crystal fiber by applying a differential quadrature phase-shift keying modulation to the pump wave to broaden and shape the SIPS gain spectrum. By choosing the bit rate of the modulation data pattern, a flat-top steep-cutoff optical bandpass filter with a 3?dB bandwidth of 70?MHz and a 10?dB bandwidth of 90?MHz is realized. In addition, a variable narrowband optical notch filter is also realized by attenuation of the pump wave.  相似文献

We have developed a high-Tc superconducting band-pass filter, whose center frequency and bandwidth can be tuned independently, with steep attenuation at both lower and higher band edges. This tunable filter is composed of two different types of band-pass filters, one with steep attenuation at the lower band edge and the other with steep attenuation at the higher band edge. Two filters are connected in series and each filter is covered with additional dielectric plates, respectively. The tuning characteristics of the entire filter can be controlled by adjusting the distances between the dielectric plates and the substrate. The entire filter was fabricated monolithically on a 30-mm-wide and 60-mm-long LaAlO3 substrate. A center frequency of 1.93 GHz, a 3 dB bandwidth of 20 MHz, and an attenuation of 30 dB, 1.0 MHz apart from both band edges, were obtained for the entire filter. Then, a sapphire plate was set above each of two filters, and a center frequency tuning of 10 MHz and a bandwidth tuning of 5 MHz were obtained by adjusting the distances between the substrate and the sapphire plates.  相似文献

从液晶连续体理论出发,用数值方法分析了以向列相液晶为缺陷层的Si/SiO2一维光子晶体滤波器的调谐原理和调谐量与外场的关系.确定出一种滤波带宽小、调谐范围大的滤波器的结构参量.模拟计算结果显示,该滤波器在外加电压为0.955~5 V时的调谐范围为1 600.6~1 499.8 nm,调谐量达到100.8 nm,完全覆盖了C波段,以及S波段和L波段的绝大部分区域.在整个调谐范围内,其3 dB带宽在0.074~0.090 nm之间,带宽的差异小于17.8%.  相似文献

We apply liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) in 0.8-$mUm standard complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology to demonstrate a low-cost, high-performance pixelized liquid crystal variable optical attenuator (VOA) with pulse width modulation. We then build a prototype tunable filter by using this VOA along with a grating in the Littrow configuration. With the application of 5-V pulse width modulation, the proposed VOA achieves a 5.6-dB insertion loss, a dynamic range of more than 20 dB, a 50-GHz channel spacing capability, and a polarization-dependent loss (PDL) of less than 0.6 dB at 15-dB attenuation. Our VOA is suitable for applications such as dynamic channel gain equalizers, channel-blocking filters, sub-components of re-configurable add-drop modules, and wavelength selectors.  相似文献

Automatic power equalization and stabilization of a liquid crystal enabled channel-selectable optical demultiplexer is demonstrated. The variation among output signals from different channels was reduced from ∼10 dB to 0.15 dB with feedback control. The minimum ripple level of a single channel is ∼0.05 dB. As a variable optical attenuator (VOA), the attenuation range of the device is ∼12.6 dB.  相似文献

改进并验证了一种基于有源循环光纤延迟线的模拟光脉冲信号复制技术.实验系统采用低增益掺铒光纤放大器补偿循环损耗.进行了光脉冲信号复制的仿真和实验,在掺铒光纤放大器增益为6.774 dB,光滤波器-3 dB,带宽为0.8 nm时,测得第500个复制光脉冲的信噪比为31 dB.仿真和实验结果表明,选用小增益掺铒光纤放大器可以实现低于3 dB的噪音系数,降低掺铒光纤放大器的放大自发辐射噪音并提高输出脉冲序列的信噪比,有望成为提高光脉冲复制器性能的一种新方法.在系统中插入窄带光滤波器等手段也是改善信噪比的有效措施.  相似文献

本文利用一维耦合腔光子晶体,提出了一种声光可调谐平顶滤波器.该滤波器利用声光效应,通过改变超声波频率使一维耦合腔光子晶体透射谱的平顶滤波器的中心波长产生漂移,从而实现可调谐的滤波功能.基于传输矩阵法和声光效应理论,建立了这种平顶滤波器的理论模型;利用COMSOL软件,对平顶滤波器的矩形度、通带带宽、插入损耗、可调谐特性、加工精度进行仿真研究.研究结果表明,通过施加频率为6-11 MHz的超声波,可实现通带带宽为5-6 nm及中心波长在1514-1562 nm范围内可调谐的平顶滤波器;在可调谐范围内通带带宽内插入损耗不超过2.23 dB,最低仅为0.78 dB,矩形度最低可达1.4;加工误差在±10 nm内平顶滤波器的中心波长、矩形度、插入损耗、通带带宽出现的偏差很小.该平顶滤波器具有易于设计和集成、通带平坦、可调谐范围宽、通带带宽稳定、插入损耗低、品质因素高的特点,在光开关、可调谐光纤激光器、光纤传感等光通信领域有重要应用.  相似文献

We propose a new method for the development of a tunable optical bandpass filter (TOBF) based on a linearly chirped fiber Bragg grating (LCFBG). A NiCr wire heater is used to heat the LCFBG at a small point to introduce a narrow passband within the stop band of the LCFBG. The central wavelength of the passband is tuned by scanning the wire heater along the LCFBG. As an example demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed method, we demonstrate a TOBF with a very small 3-dB bandwidth of approximately 7 pm, a tuning range of 16.4 nm, and a rejection ratio of more than 25 dB. Compared with previously reported tunable-fiber-based bandpass filters, this method provides the advantages of a large tuning range, continuous tunability, a switchable passband, a simple tuning mechanism, low cost, and narrow bandwidth.  相似文献

一种新型的低成本、小体积的电磁驱动微机电系统可调光衰减器,可用于密集波分复用系统中各信道的动态增益平衡。该器件采用电磁线圈驱动绕100微轴转动的微反射镜,运动部件行程极小。驱动电压为0~8V,工作范围0~35dB,动态响应时间小于2ms,插入损耗小于0.8dB,回波损耗小于-50.5dB。器件采用微细电火花加工技术制作,加工精度为微米量级。技术成熟,工艺简单,易于批量生产。采用有限元分析软件ANSYS对器件的结构建模,对电磁场及衰减曲线进行了理论分析,并与实测数据进行了比较,得出了相当满意的结果。  相似文献

采用闪耀光栅作为色散元件,构建了前向、后向输出两种结构的可调谐掺Yb3 光子晶体光纤激光器,并对其输出特性进行了分析研究.在抽运功率5.75W时,前向输出结构实现了1050.6~1110.2 nm的连续调谐输出,光谱线宽约0.1 nm,边模抑制比大于44 dB.在调谐激光波长为1085 nm时,得到最高输出功率677 mW.结构改进的后向输出结构的可调谐输出结构在抽运功率4.43 W,调谐波长1075 nm,实现了2.21 W的功率输出,斜率效率为73%;调谐范围50.9 nm(1042.1~1093 nm),光谱线宽小于0.08 nm,边模抑制比大于50 dB.两种结构的可调谐激光器输出均为线偏振光,偏振度大于89.5%.  相似文献

A new kind of tunable optical filter is proposed for DWDM optical communication application. It is based on cascaded polarization interference filter (PIF). The period and bandpass width of each PIF are decided by its optical path difference between o-ray and e-ray (OPDOE). When their OPDOEs are proportionately designed, the tuning range and bandpass width depend on OPDOE in the first and the last PIF, respectively. The tuning range, bandpass width and crosstalk are independent each other. The crosstalk is related to the OPDOE ratios among PIFs and can be suppressed by designing the PIF's 15 × 2N-7 × l1, 10 × 2N-6 × l1 and 2N-2 × l1 from the first to the last. This suggested OPDOEs can yield -50-dB crosstalk for any tuning range and bandpass width. The insert loss is less than i dB. As its loose alignment requirement, there is no limitation on cascaded PIF number. When 11 PIFs are cascaded, it can achieve 170-nm tuning range, -50-dB crosstalk, bandpass width applicable to 25-GHz channel spacing and 1 dB insert loss.  相似文献

In this paper we presented a method, which will allow multiple parameter control of the 3-dB bandwidth, center notch wavelength and attenuation level in a fiber-based acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF). The method basically involves the variation of the interaction length, RF frequency and RF power on a single-fiber device to achieve multiple parameters tuning of the optical filter. A compact acousto-optic (AO) filter with multireflector (MR) beam expanders constituted by 32 photonic crystal rows of airholes in LiNbO(3) waveguide has been proposed and numerically studied by the two-dimensional finite-difference-time-domain method. The diameter and position of every row of holes are gradually varied along MR beam expanders in order to provide high efficiency and good sidelobe suppression. Device sizes are 70 μm × 150 μm, with an FWHM bandwidth of 4.4 nm, a tuning range of 110 nm, internal loss of -3 dB, and sidelobes of -20 dB, thus providing a unique value of 0.6 μm(2) for the product FWHM bandwidth by an AO length. It is intended for use in fiber optics telecommunications and sensing.  相似文献

We report 20 Gb/s transmission of four-level pulse amplitude modulation(PAM) signal using a directly modulated tunable distributed Bragg reflector(DBR) laser. Transmission distance over 20 km was achieved without using optical amplifiers and optical dispersion compensation modules. A wavelength tuning range of 11.5 nm and a 3 dB bandwidth greater than 10 GHz over the entire wavelength tuning range were obtained.  相似文献

研制了用于CDMA移动通信基站接收机前端的14阶高温超导带通滤波器。该滤波器的设计带宽为10.9 MHz,中心频率为830MHz;仿真得到的回波损耗约为28 dB,带内波动小于0.008 dB,带外抑制大于90 dB;该滤波器由MgO衬底上的双面DyBa2Cu3O7超导薄膜加工而成。该滤波器在无后期调谐的情况下,72K温度的实测带宽为10.9MHz,回波损耗好于20dB,插入损耗0.001 dB,边带陡峭度高达80dB/16.3MHz,实测的中心频率等指标也与仿真设计结果吻合很好,各项指标均满足应用要求。  相似文献

A continuously tunable erbium-doped fibre laser (TEDFL) based on tunable fibre Bragger grating (TFBG) and a three-port optical circulator (OC) is proposed and demonstrated. The OC acts as a 100%-reflective mirror. A strain-induced uniform fibre Bragger grating (FBG) which functions as a partial-reflecting mirror is implemented in the linear cavity. By applying axial strain onto the TFBG, a continuously tunable lazing output can be realized. The wavelength tuning range covers approximately 7.00nm in C band (from 1543.6161 to 1550.3307nm). The side mode suppression ratio (SMSR) is better than 50 dB, and the 3 dB bandwidth of the laser is less than 0.01 nm. Moreover, an array waveguide grating (AWG) is inserted into the cavity for wavelength preselecting, and a 50 km transmission experiment was performed using our TEDFL at a 10 Gb/s modulation rate.  相似文献

在正方格二维光子晶体结构中设计了基于可调谐谐振腔的带通滤波器,通过改变1×5谐振腔侧边调谐介质柱位置调节谐振腔与波导系统工作时传输的波段,用CMT理论分析了输入端耦合衰减率及输入端失谐因子对滤波器的影响。借助FDTD方法得到了滤波器波长传输谱,结果表明:当滤波器结构工作于1320~1810 nm波长段时,输出端38个通帯的-3 dB带宽Δλ范围为4.18~11.15 nm,通带峰值波长可调宽度为186.56 nm。该微型滤波器适于光电通信粗波分解复用WDDM系统设计和光集成设计等方面。  相似文献

We demonstrate an electrically tunable Sagnac filter based on a photonic bandgap fiber that is realized by infusing liquid crystal into a solid-core air-hole photonic crystal fiber. The filter enables an electrical tuning with a range of about 26 nm for one single interference minimum in the transmission bandgap from 1330 to 1650 nm wavelength. The tuning efficiency is averaged to 0.53 nm/V.  相似文献

基于GaAs 0.25 μm增强/耗尽型(E/D)赝配高电子迁移率晶体管(pHEMT)工艺,研制了一款Ku波段6位数字衰减器微波单片集成电路(MMIC)。该6位数字衰减器由6个基本衰减位级联组成,可实现最大衰减量为31.5 dB、步进为0.5 dB的衰减量控制。采用简化的T型衰减结构,实现了0.5 dB和1 dB的衰减位。16 dB衰减位采用开关型衰减拓扑,在提高衰减平坦度的同时,有效降低其附加相移。测试结果表明,在12~18 GHz的频率内,数字衰减器衰减64态均方根误差(RMS)小于0.25 dB,附加相移为?0.5°~+9.5°,插入损耗小于4.9 dB,输入输出驻波比均小于1.5∶1。芯片尺寸为3.00 mm×0.75 mm。该芯片电路具有宽频带、高衰减精度、小尺寸的特点,主要用于微波相控阵收发组件、无线通讯等领域。  相似文献
