Due to the similar physical and chemical properties, isotopes are usually hard to separate. On the other hand, the isotope shifts are very well separated in a high-resolution spectrum, making them possible to be addressed individually by lasers, thus separated. Here we report such an isotope separation experiment with Potassium atoms. The isotopes are independently optical pumped to the desired spin states, and then separated with a Stern–Gerlach scheme. A micro-capillary oven is used to collimate the atomic beam, and a Halbach-type magnet array is used to deflect the desired atoms. Finally, the 40K is enriched by two orders of magnitude. This magneto–optical combined method provides an effective way to separate isotopes and can be extended to other elements if the relevant optical pumping scheme is feasible.  相似文献

We present a new reconnection-based arbitrary-Lagrangian–Eulerian (ALE) method. The main elements in a standard ALE simulation are an explicit Lagrangian phase in which the solution and grid are updated, a rezoning phase in which a new grid is defined, and a remapping phase in which the Lagrangian solution is transferred (conservatively interpolated) onto the new grid. In standard ALE methods the new mesh from the rezone phase is obtained by moving grid nodes without changing connectivity of the mesh. Such rezone strategy has its limitation due to the fixed topology of the mesh. In our new method we allow connectivity of the mesh to change in rezone phase, which leads to general polygonal mesh and allows to follow Lagrangian features of the mesh much better than for standard ALE methods. Rezone strategy with reconnection is based on using Voronoi tessellation. We demonstrate performance of our new method on series of numerical examples and show it superiority in comparison with standard ALE methods without reconnection.  相似文献

We present a new method for performing multiple covariant differentiation of relative tensors in an ordinary affine manifold. The method is more straightforward than the standard method as it possesses a strong resemblance to the multiple differentiation of ordinary functions. We describe a new method for angular displacement measurements that is based on a Fabry-Perot interferometer. A measurement accuracy of 10-8 rad is obtained by use of the sinusoidal phase modulating interferometry. We obtain the Carnahan–Starling equation for a system of hard spheres using the Euler method of accelerated series convergence. For this purpose, the virial series is transformed into a new series with coefficients that differ slightly from each other, even when considering the eleven currently known virial coefficients. The method of accelerated convergence was applied to this series; it allowed us to obtain the Carnahan–Starling equation. In this work, this equation is derived for the first time using the method of accelerated convergence. It is generalized to accurately reproduce all of the known virial coefficients and the asymptotic behavior of the free energy at high densities. This also makes it possible to describe a metastable region with a high degree of accuracy and to obtain the equation of state for a homogeneous system of hard spheres with the accuracy of a computer experiment.  相似文献

This paper describes the elimination of porphyrins by feces. It was demonstrated that porphyrin accumulates substantially more in tumors than in normal tissues, and consequently more PPIX reaches the blood of patients and animals with tumors, and then, it needs to be eliminated. The fluorescence of feces revealed that there are large amounts of PPIX in the excreta of animals with cancer comparing with healthy animals. The autofluorescence of feces porphyrin extracted with acetone was analyzed using fluorescence spectroscopy of animals inoculated with DU145 cells into the prostate and healthy animals to monitor the PPIX concentration. Emission spectra were obtained by exciting the samples at 405 nm. Significant differences were observed in autofluorescence intensities measured in the 575–725 nm spectral regions for the studied groups. The results showed a noninvasive, simple, rapid and sensitive method to detect cancer by feces analysis.  相似文献

A new unified methodology was proposed in Finkelstein and Kastner (2007) [39] to derive spatial finite-difference (FD) coefficients in the joint time–space domain to reduce numerical dispersion. The key idea of this method is that the dispersion relation is completely satisfied at several designated frequencies. We develop this new time–space domain FD method further for 1D, 2D and 3D acoustic wave modeling using a plane wave theory and the Taylor series expansion. New spatial FD coefficients are frequency independent though they lead to a frequency dependent numerical solution. We prove that the modeling accuracy is 2nd-order when the conventional (2M)(2M)th-order space domain FD and the 2nd-order time domain FD stencils are directly used to solve the acoustic wave equation. However, under the same discretization, the new 1D method can reach (2M)(2M)th-order accuracy and is always stable. The 2D method can reach (2M)(2M)th-order accuracy along eight directions and has better stability. Similarly, the 3D method can reach (2M)(2M)th-order accuracy along 48 directions and also has better stability than the conventional FD method. The advantages of the new method are also demonstrated by the results of dispersion analysis and numerical modeling of acoustic wave equation for homogeneous and inhomogeneous acoustic models. In addition, we study the influence of the FD stencil length on numerical modeling for 1D inhomogeneous media, and derive an optimal FD stencil length required to balance the accuracy and efficiency of modeling. A new time–space domain high-order staggered-grid FD method for the 1D acoustic wave equation with variable densities is also developed, which has similar advantages demonstrated by dispersion analysis, stability analysis and modeling experiments. The methodology presented in this paper can be easily extended to solve similar partial difference equations arising in other fields of science and engineering.  相似文献

A novel aluminum iron oxide(Al/AlFe2O4/p-Si) Schottky photodiode was successfully fabricated via the sol–gel coating process. The microstructure of the spinel ferrite(AlFe2O4) was examined by atomic force microscopy. The current–voltage characteristics of the fabricated photodiode were studied under dark and different illumination conditions at room temperature. By using the thermionic emission theory, the forward bias I–V characteristics of the photodiode are analyzed to determine the main electrical parameters such as the ideality factor(n) and barrier height(ΦB0) of the photodiode. The values of n and ΦB0 for all conditions are found to be about 7.00 and 0.76 eV, respectively. In addition,the values of series resistance(Rs) are determined using Cheung's method and Ohm's law. The values of Rs and shunt resistance(Rsh) are decreased with the increase of illumination intensity. These new spinel ferrites will open a new avenue to other spinel structure materials for optoelectronic devices in the near future.  相似文献

经颅磁刺激(TMS)是一种采用电磁线圈在大脑指定区域产生磁场的刺激方式. TMS的治疗原理是通过电磁感应产生作用于神经元的外加电场进而影响神经元编码. 然而目前TMS感应外电场改变神经元编码的内在机理尚不清楚.研究表明, 神经元编码由神经元的放电起始动态机理决定. 本文建立了TMS感应外电场作用下的最小神经元模型, 采用相平面分析和分岔分析方法, 研究了外电场作用下神经元放电起始动态的动力学机理, 并从阈下电位的不同动力学特性离子电流竞争角度揭示了TMS感应外电 场作用下神经元放电起始动态的生理学机理.  相似文献

Acupuncture, which is recognized as an alternative and complementary treatment in Western medicine, has long shown efficiencies in chronic pain relief, drug addiction treatment, stroke rehabilitation and other clinical practices. The neural mechanism underlying acupuncture, however, is still unclear. Many studies have focused on the sustained effects of acupuncture on healthy subjects, yet there are very few on the topological organization of functional networks in the whole brain in response to long-duration acupuncture (longer than 20 min). This paper presents a novel study on the effects of long-duration transcutaneous electric acupoint stimulation (TEAS) on the small-world properties of brain functional networks. Functional magnetic resonance imaging was used to construct brain functional networks of 18 healthy subjects (9 males and 9 females) during the resting state. All subjects received both TEAS and minimal TEAS (MTEAS) and were scanned before and after each stimulation. An altered functional network was found with lower local efficiency and no significant change in global efficiency for healthy subjects after TEAS, while no significant difference was observed after MTEAS. The experiments also showed that the nodal efficiencies in several paralimbic/limbic regions were altered by TEAS, and those in middle frontal gyrus and other regions by MTEAS. To remove the psychological effects and the baseline, we compared the difference between diffTEAS (difference between after and before TEAS) and diffMTEAS (difference between after and before MTEAS). The results showed that the local efficiency was decreased and that the nodal efficiencies in frontal gyrus, orbitofrontal cortex, anterior cingulate gyrus and hippocampus gyrus were changed. Based on those observations, we conclude that long-duration TEAS may modulate the short-range connections of brain functional networks and also the limbic system.  相似文献

颞叶癫痫、阿尔兹海默症等神经系统疾病与大脑海马的异常放电相关。近年兴起的经颅超声刺激治疗脑疾病具有无创、能深入脑组织和可调控海马神经元放电的特点。该文基于128阵元相控阵换能器、人头颅CT数据、水体建立超声经颅刺激海马数值仿真模型,数值仿真优选适应于海马刺激的换能器结构参数,并结合电容模型,探究超声声学参数对海马神经元放电的影响。结果表明曲率半径90 mm、开口半径56 mm、阵元半径2.0 mm、频率0.9 MHz的128阵元相控超声换能器可形成适应于刺激人脑海马大小的焦域;且在超声频率为0.9 MHz时对海马神经元放电有较好的抑制作用;在较小的占空比和较低的空间峰值时间平均声强条件下对神经元放电有较好的抑制作用。  相似文献

Vocal tremor has been a challenging problem for patients and their physicians. In some cases, it has been possible to lesson the symptom's tremor through medications and/or voice therapy. However, in most cases no good treatment has been available. Chronic stimulation of the thalamus has been successful in controlling tremors of the upper limb and other portions of the body. Our preliminary experience suggests that it may also be helpful in controlling vocal tremor.  相似文献

在基于激光自混合干涉的理论上,提出了一种利用二次反馈激光自混合干涉的新型测距方法。利用三角波电流对半导体激光器进行调制,得到一次反馈自混合干涉信号。通过对信号分析可知,当半导体激光器被调制后,会产生一系列的模跳,模跳的数量与绝对距离成正比。通过计算在一个三角波电流调制周期内模跳的数量,就可以求出绝对距离。利用多重激光自混合的概念,提出该种新型测距方法。建立了距离测量系统,进行了实验验证。实验结果表明:由于步长分辨率精度的提高,测距精度明显提高。  相似文献

本文从换能器的互易原理出发,利用平面波自易校准法获得换能器的自由场发送电流响应.根据平面活塞型换能器的衍射规律,推导出发射声功率的表达式.由此计算互易换能器在给定驱动电流(或电压)作用下的辐射超声功率.基于上述原理,使用自易校准装置测量了互易换能器的声功率一频率曲线.估计的测量不确定优于±20%.  相似文献

Several synchrotrons around the world are currently developing innovative radiotherapy techniques with the aim of palliating and possibly curing human brain tumors. Amongst them, microbeam radiation therapy (MRT) and, more recently, minibeam radiation therapy (MBRT) have shown promising results. In MBRT the beam thickness ranges from 500 to 700 µm with a separation between two adjacent minibeams of the same value, whilst in MRT the thickness is of the order of 25–50 µm with a distance between adjacent microbeams of the order of 200 µm. An original method has been developed and tested at the ESRF ID17 biomedical beamline to produce the minibeam patterns. It utilizes a specially developed high‐energy white‐beam chopper whose action is synchronized with the vertical motion of the target moving at constant speed. Each opening of the chopper generates a horizontal beam print. The method described here has the advantage of being simple and reliable, and it allows for an easy control of the patient safety in future clinical trials. To study the feasibility of the method, dosimetric measurements have been performed using Gafchromic HD‐810 films and compared with Monte Carlo simulations. The results of this comparison are discussed.  相似文献
