We study the asymptotic behaviour of non-autonomous 2D Navier–Stokes equations in unbounded domains for which a Poincaré inequality holds. In particular, we give sufficient conditions for their pullback attractor to have finite fractal dimension. The existence of pullback attractors in this framework comes from the existence of bounded absorbing sets of pullback asymptotically compact processes [T. Caraballo, G. ?ukaszewicz, J. Real, Pullback attractors for asymptotically compact nonautonomous dynamical systems, Nonlinear Anal. 64 (3) (2006) 484–498]. We show that, under suitable conditions, the method of Lyapunov exponents in [P. Constantin, C. Foias, R. Temam, Attractors representing turbulent flows, Mem. Amer. Math. Soc. 53 (1984) [5]] for the dimension of attractors can be developed in this new context. 相似文献

We prove a result related to Bressan's mixing problem. We establish an inequality for the change of Bianchini semi-norms of characteristic functions under the flow generated by a divergence free time dependent vector field. The approach leads to a bilinear singular integral operator for which we prove bounds on Hardy spaces. We include additional observations about the approach and a discrete toy version of Bressan's problem. 相似文献

The asymptotic behavior of solutions of the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations is considered on bounded smooth domains with no-slip boundary conditions and on periodic domains. Asymptotic regularity conditions are presented to ensure that the convergence of a Leray-Hopf weak solution to its weak ω-limit set (weak in the sense of the weak topology of the space H of square-integrable divergence-free velocity fields with the appropriate boundary conditions) are achieved also in the strong topology. It is proved that the weak ω-limit set is strongly compact and strongly attracts the corresponding solution if and only if all the solutions in the weak ω-limit set are continuous in the strong topology of H. Corresponding results for the strong convergence towards the weak global attractor of Foias and Temam are also presented. In this case, it is proved that the weak global attractor is strongly compact and strongly attracts the weak solutions, uniformly with respect to uniformly bounded sets of weak solutions, if and only if all the global weak solutions in the weak global attractor are strongly continuous in H. 相似文献

Using this decomposition, we obtain the characterizations of BMO and Lipschitz spaces by rearrangement-invariant Banach function spaces. If Ω⊂Rn is a bounded domain, the existence of solutions of divu=f for f∈Lp(Ω) with vanishing mean value and 1<p<∞, is a basic result in the analysis of the Stokes equations. It is known that the result holds when Ω is a Lipschitz domain and that it is not valid for domains with external cusps.In this paper we prove that the result holds for John domains. Our proof is constructive: the solution u is given by an explicit integral operator acting on f. To prove that we make use of the Calderón-Zygmund singular integral operator theory and the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function.For domains satisfying the separation property introduced in [S. Buckley, P. Koskela, Sobolev-Poincaré implies John, Math. Res. Lett. 2 (5) (1995) 577-593], and 1<p<n, we also prove a converse result, thus characterizing in this case the domains for which a continuous right inverse of the divergence exists. In particular, our result applies to simply connected planar domains because they satisfy the separation property. 相似文献

We study the fractional power dissipative equations, whose fundamental semigroup is given by e−t(−Δ)α with α>0. By using an argument of duality and interpolation, we extend space-time estimates of the fractional power dissipative equations in Lebesgue spaces to the Hardy spaces and the modulation spaces. These results are substantial extensions of some known results. A critical radius function ρ assigns to each a positive number in a way that its variation at different points is somehow controlled by a power of the distance between them. This kind of function appears naturally in the harmonic analysis related to a Schrödinger operator with V a non‐negative potential satisfying some specific reverse Hölder condition. For a family of singular integrals associated with such critical radius function, we prove boundedness results in the extreme case . On one side we obtain weighted weak (1, 1) results for a class of weights larger than Muckenhoupt class A1. On the other side, for the same weights, we prove continuity from appropriate weighted Hardy spaces into weighted L1. To achieve the latter result we define weighted Hardy spaces by means of a ρ‐localized maximal heat operator. We obtain a suitable atomic decomposition and a characterization via ρ‐localized Riesz Transforms for these spaces. For the case of ρ derived from a Schrödinger operator, we obtain new estimates for many of the operators appearing in 27 . 相似文献

We present a new topological method for the study of the dynamics of dissipative PDEs. The method is based on the concept of the self-consistent a priori bounds, which permit the rigorous justification of the use of Galerkin projections. As a result, we obtain a low-dimensional system of ODEs subject to rigorously controlled small perturbation from the neglected modes. To these ODEs we apply the Conley index to obtain information about the dynamics of the PDE under consideration. We applied the method to the Kuramoto—Sivashinsky equation We obtained a computer-assisted proof of the existence of several fixed points for various values of ν > 0 . May 10, 2000.
