The aim of this paper is to establish a well‐posedness result for a boundary value problem of transmission‐type for the standard and generalized Brinkman systems in two Lipschitz domains in , the former being bounded, and the latter, its complement in . As a first step, we establish a well‐posedness result for a transmission problem for the standard Brinkman systems on complementary Lipschitz domains in by making use of the Potential theory developed for such a system. As a second step, we prove our desired result (in L2‐based Sobolev spaces) by using a method based on Fredholm operator theory and the well‐posedness result from the previous step.  相似文献

In this paper, we describe a layer potential analysis in order to show an existence result for an interface boundary value problem of Robin‐transmission type for the Stokes and Brinkman systems on Lipschitz domains in Euclidean setting, when the given boundary data belong to some Lp or Sobolev spaces associated to such domains. Applications related to an exterior three‐dimensional Stokes flow past two concentric porous spheres with stress jump conditions on the fluid‐porous interface are also considered. We prove that Burenkov's extension operator preserves Sobolev spaces built on general Morrey spaces, including classical Morrey spaces. The analysis concerns bounded and unbounded open sets with Lipschitz boundaries in the n‐dimensional Euclidean space.  相似文献

In this paper we study conditions guaranteeing that functions defined on a Lipschitz domain Ω have boundary traces in Hardy and Besov spaces on ∂Ω. In turn these results are used to develop a new approach to the theory of compensated compactness and the theory of non-locally convex Hardy and Bergman type spaces.  相似文献

Let n3 and Ω be a bounded Lipschitz domain in Rn. Assume that p(2,) and the function bL(?Ω) is non-negative, where ?Ω denotes the boundary of Ω. Denote by ν the outward unit normal to ?Ω. In this article, the authors give two necessary and sufficient conditions for the unique solvability of the Robin problem for the Laplace equation Δu=0 in Ω with boundary data ?u/?ν+bu=fLp(?Ω), respectively, in terms of a weak reverse Hölder inequality with exponent p or the unique solvability of the Robin problem with boundary data in some weighted L2(?Ω) space. As applications, the authors obtain the unique solvability of the Robin problem for the Laplace equation in the bounded (semi-)convex domain Ω with boundary data in (weighted) Lp(?Ω) for any given p(1,).  相似文献

We study the second best constant problem for logarithmic Sobolev inequalities on complete Riemannian manifolds and investigate its relationship with optimal heat kernel bounds and the existence of extremal functions.  相似文献

We construct a bounded C1 domain Ω in for which the regularity for the Dirichlet and Neumann problems for the Laplacian cannot be improved, that is, there exists f in such that the solution of in Ω and either on or on is contained in but not in for any . An analogous result holds for Sobolev spaces with .  相似文献

We study the invertibility of βI+K and βI+K in L2(∂Ω) for where K,K are double layer potentials related to elasticity equations and Ω is bounded Lipschitz domain in Rn. Consequently, the spectrum on real line lies in . Applications to transmission problems are also presented.  相似文献

We study fractional Sobolev and Besov spaces on noncompact Riemannian manifolds with bounded geometry. Usually, these spaces are defined via geodesic normal coordinates which, depending on the problem at hand, may often not be the best choice. We consider a more general definition subject to different local coordinates and give sufficient conditions on the corresponding coordinates resulting in equivalent norms. Our main application is the computation of traces on submanifolds with the help of Fermi coordinates. Our results also hold for corresponding spaces defined on vector bundles of bounded geometry and, moreover, can be generalized to Triebel‐Lizorkin spaces on manifolds, improving [11].  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to show existence of a solution of the Dirichlet problem for a nonlinear generalized Darcy–Forchheimer–Brinkman system in a bounded Lipschitz domain in , with small boundary datum in L2‐based Sobolev spaces. A useful intermediary result is the well‐posedness of the Poisson problem for a generalized Brinkman system in a bounded Lipschitz domain in , with Dirichlet boundary condition and data in L2‐based Sobolev spaces. We obtain this well‐posedness result by showing that the matrix type operator associated with the Poisson problem is an isomorphism. Then, we combine the well‐posedness result from the linear case with a fixed point theorem in order to show the existence of a solution of the Dirichlet problem for the nonlinear generalized Darcy–Forchheimer–Brinkman system. Some applications are also included. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We study the Besov regularity of conformal mappings for domains with rough boundary based on the well-posedness for the Dirichlet problem with Besov data. Also, sharp invertibility results for the classical layer potential operators on Sobolev-Besov spaces on the boundary of curvilinear polygons are obtained.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to classical spectral boundary value problems for strongly elliptic second‐order systems in bounded Lipschitz domains, in general non‐self‐adjoint, namely, to questions of regularity and completeness of root functions (generalized eigenfunctions), resolvent estimates, and summability of Fourier series with respect to the root functions by the Abel–Lidskii method in Sobolev‐type spaces. These questions are not difficult in the Hilbert spaces of the type , and important results in this case are well‐known, but our aim is to extend the results to Banach spaces with in a neighborhood of (1, 2). We also touch upon some spectral problems on Lipschitz boundaries. Tools from interpolation theory of operators are used, especially the Shneiberg theorem.  相似文献

For strongly elliptic Systems with Douglis-Nirenberg structure, we investigate the regularity of variational solutions to the Dirichlet and Neumann problems in a bounded Lipschitz domain. The solutions of the problems with homogeneous boundary conditions are originally defined in the simplest L 2-Sobolev spaces H σ . The regularity results are obtained in the potential spaces H p σ and Besov spaces B p σ . In the case of second-order Systems, the author’s results obtained a year ago are strengthened. The Dirichlet problem with nonhomogeneous boundary conditions is considered with the use of Whitney arrays.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to study the mixed Dirichlet‐Neumann boundary value problem for the semilinear Darcy‐Forchheimer‐Brinkman system in L p ‐based Besov spaces on a bounded Lipschitz domain in R 3 , with p in a neighborhood of 2. This system is obtained by adding the semilinear term | u | u to the linear Brinkman equation. First, we provide some results about equivalence between the Gagliardo and nontangential traces, as well as between the weak canonical conormal derivatives and the nontangential conormal derivatives. Various mapping and invertibility properties of some integral operators of potential theory for the linear Brinkman system, and well‐posedness results for the Dirichlet and Neumann problems in L p ‐based Besov spaces on bounded Lipschitz domains in R n (n ≥3) are also presented. Then, using integral potential operators, we show the well‐posedness in L 2‐based Sobolev spaces for the mixed problem of Dirichlet‐Neumann type for the linear Brinkman system on a bounded Lipschitz domain in R n (n ≥3). Further, by using some stability results of Fredholm and invertibility properties and exploring invertibility of the associated Neumann‐to‐Dirichlet operator, we extend the well‐posedness property to some L p ‐based Sobolev spaces. Next, we use the well‐posedness result in the linear case combined with a fixed point theorem to show the existence and uniqueness for a mixed boundary value problem of Dirichlet and Neumann type for the semilinear Darcy‐Forchheimer‐Brinkman system in L p ‐based Besov spaces, with p ∈(2?ε ,2+ε ) and some parameter ε >0.  相似文献

We consider the motion of a fluid in the exterior of a rotating obstacle. This leads to a modified version of the Stokes system which we consider in the whole space ${\mathds R}^n$, n = 2 or n = 3 and in an exterior domain $D\subset {\mathds R}^3$. For every q ∈ (1, ∞) we prove existence of solutions and estimates in function spaces with weights taken from a subclass of the Muckenhoupt class Aq. Moreover, uniqueness is shown modulo a vector space of dimension 3. © 2011 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim  相似文献

We describe exactly and fully which of the spaces of holomorphic functions in the title are included in which others. We provide either new results or new proofs. More importantly, we construct explicit functions in each space that show our relations are strict and the best possible. Many of our inclusions turn out to be sharper than the Sobolev imbeddings.  相似文献
