The hole-concentration (x) dependence of the three-dimensional energy-momentum dispersion in (Bi, Pb)2(Sr, La)2CuO(6+delta) has been investigated by angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. For a heavily overdoped sample of T(c) < or = 0.5 K, an energy dispersion of approximately 10 meV in width is observed in the vicinity of the (pi, 0) point with varying momentum along the c axis (k(z)). This k(z) dispersion is zero for underdoped, optimally doped, and slightly overdoped samples up to a doping level corresponding to T(c) = 22 k. At higher doping levels we observe significant dispersion of the order of 10 meV (sample with T(c) < or = 0.5 K). This is clear evidence that at a doping value corresponding to T(c) = 22 K, a crossover from two- to three-dimensional electronic structure occurs. 相似文献

The upper critical field, H(c2), of Mg(B1-xCx)(2) has been measured in order to probe the maximum magnetic field range for superconductivity that can be attained by C doping. Carbon doped MgB2 filaments were prepared, and for carbon levels below 4% the transition temperatures are depressed by about 1 K/% C and H(c2)(T=0) rises by about 5 T/% C. This means that 3.8% C substitution will depress T(c) from 39.2 to 36.2 K and raise H(c2)(T=0) from 16.0 to 32.5 T. These rises in H(c2) are accompanied by a rise in resistivity at 40 K from about 0.5 to about 10 microOmega cm. 相似文献

We use high-resolution inelastic neutron scattering to study the low-temperature magnetic excitations of the electron-doping superconductor Pr(0.88)LaCe(0.12)CuO(4-delta) (T(c) = 21 +/- 1 K) over a wide energy range (4 meV < or = homega < or = 330 meV). The effect of electron doping is to cause a wave vector (Q) broadening in the low-energy (homega < or = 80 meV) commensurate spin fluctuations at (0.5, 0.5) and to suppress the intensity of spin-wave-like excitations at high energies (homega > or = 100 meV). This leads to a substantial redistribution in the spectrum of the local dynamical spin susceptibility chi'(omega), and reveals a new energy scale similar to that of the lightly hole-doped YB2Cu3O(6.353) (T(c) = 18 K). 相似文献

We have synthesized polycrystalline samples of Eu(1-x)K(x)Fe2As2 (x = 0-1) and carried out systematic characterization using x-ray diffraction, ac and dc magnetic susceptibility, and electrical resistivity measurements. A clear signature of the coexistence of a superconducting transition (T(c) = 5.5 K) with spin density wave (SDW) ordering is observed in our underdoped sample with x = 0.15. The SDW transition disappears completely for the x = 0.3 sample and superconductivity arises below 20 K. The superconducting transition temperature Tc increases with increase in the K content and a maximum Tc = 33 K is reached for x = 0.5, beyond which it decreases again. The doping dependent Tx phase diagram is extracted from the magnetic and electrical transport data. It is found that magnetic ordering of Eu moments coexists with the superconductivity up to x = 0.6. The isothermal magnetization data taken at 2 K for the doped samples suggest the 2+ valence state of the Eu ions. We also present the temperature dependence of the lower critical field H(c1) of the superconducting polycrystalline samples. The values of H(c1)(0) obtained for x = 0.3, 0.5, and 0.7 after taking the demagnetization factor into account are 202, 330, and 212 Oe, respectively. The London penetration depth λ(T) calculated from the lower critical field does not show exponential dependence at low temperature, as would be expected for a fully gapped clean s-wave superconductor. In contrast, it shows a T2 power law feature up to T = 0.3Tc, as observed in Ba(1-x)K(x)Fe2As2 and BaFe(2-x)Co(x)As2. 相似文献

We measure the penetration depth λab(T) in Ba(Fe(1-x)Co(x))(2)As(2) using local techniques that do not average over the sample. The superfluid density ρs(T) ≡ 1/λab(T)2 has three main features. First, ρs (T = 0) falls sharply on the underdoped side of the dome. Second, λab(T) is flat at low T at optimal doping, indicating fully gapped superconductivity, but varies more strongly in underdoped and overdoped samples, consistent with either a power law or a small second gap. Third, ρs (T) varies steeply near Tc for optimal and underdoping. These observations are consistent with an interplay between magnetic and superconducting phases. 相似文献

Superfluid 3He in the angular velocity of 0.01 Omega(c2) < or = Omega < or = Omega(c2) is studied theoretically, where Omega(c2) is the upper critical field of order (1 - T/T(c)) x 10(7) rad/s. Five different phases have been found in the pressure-Omega plane. Especially, it is shown that the A-phase-core vortex experimentally found in the B phase originates from Schopohl's polar state at Omega(c2) via an A-phase mixed-twist lattice with polar cores and the normal-core lattice of Ohmi, Tsuneto, and Fujita [Prog. Theor. Phys. 70, 647 (1983)]. 相似文献

We report a Cu -edge resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) study of charge-transfer excitations in the 2-8 eV range in the structurally simple compound HgBa(2)CuO(4+delta) at optimal doping (T(c)=96.5 K). The spectra exhibit a significant dependence on the incident photon energy which we carefully utilize to resolve a multiplet of weakly dispersive (<0.5 eV) electron-hole excitations, including a mode at 2 eV. The observation of this 2 eV excitation suggests the existence of a remnant charge-transfer gap deep in the superconducting phase. Quite generally, our results, which include additional data for the Mott insulator La(2)CuO(4), demonstrate the importance of exploring the incident photon-energy dependence of the RIXS cross section. 相似文献

We present measurements of the magnetic penetration depth, lambda(-2)(T), in Pr(2-x)Ce(x)CuO(4-y) and La(2-x)Ce(x)CuO(4-y) films at three Ce doping levels, x, near optimal. Optimal and overdoped films are qualitatively and quantitatively different from underdoped films. For example, lambda(-2)(0) decreases rapidly with underdoping but is roughly constant above optimal doping. Also, lambda(-2)(T) at low T is exponential at optimal and overdoping but is quadratic at underdoping. In light of other studies that suggest both d- and s-wave pairing symmetry in nominal optimally doped samples, our results are evidence for a transition from d- to s-wave pairing near optimal doping. 相似文献

The ab-plane reflectance of Bi(2)Sr(2)CaCu(2)O(8+delta) (Bi-2212) thin films was measured in the 30-25 000 cm(-1) range for one underdoped ( T(c) = 70 K), and one overdoped sample ( T(c) = 63 K) down to 10 K. We find similar behaviors in the temperature dependence of the normal-state infrared response of both samples. Above T(c), the effective spectral weight, obtained from the integrated conductivity, does not decrease when T decreases, so that no opening of an optical pseudogap is seen. We suggest that these are consequences of the pseudogap opening in the k = (0,pi) direction and of the in-plane infrared conductivity being mostly sensitive to the k = (pi,pi) direction. 相似文献

A measurement of the spin of the Omega(-) hyperon produced through the exclusive process Xi(c)(0)-->Omega(-)K(+) is presented using a total integrated luminosity of 116 fb(-1) recorded with the BABAR detector at the e(+)e(-) asymmetric-energy B factory at SLAC. Under the assumption that the Xi(c)(0) has spin 1/2, the angular distribution of the Lambda from Omega(-)-->LambdaK(-) decay is inconsistent with all half-integer Omega(-) spin values other than 3/2. Lower statistics data for the process Omega(c)(0)-->Omega(-)pi(+) from a 230 fb(-1) sample are also found to be consistent with Omega(-) spin 3/2. If the Xi(c)(0) spin were 3/2, an Omega(-) spin of 5/2 could not be excluded. 相似文献

The electrical conductivity (σ) of hydrogen doped (Zr(2)Fe)(1-x)H(x) metallic glasses has been measured in the temperature range from 290 down to 5 K. The decrease of the room temperature conductivity and the increase of its temperature coefficient are explained as consequences of increased disorder due to hydrogen doping. σ(T) for (Zr(2)Fe)(1-x)H(x) metallic glasses at low temperatures decreases with the increase of temperature, forming a minimum at T(min), before it starts a monotonic increase with increasing temperature. Both the functional forms and the magnitudes of the observed σ(T) are interpreted in terms of weak localization, electron-electron interaction and spin-fluctuation effects. Our results reveal that the electron-phonon scattering rate varies with the square of temperature from low temperatures up to 100 K and changes behaviour to a linear form at higher temperatures. At low temperatures, the minimum in σ(T) is shifted to higher temperatures, which is ascribed to the increase of the screening parameter of the Coulomb interaction F* associated with the enhancement of the spin fluctuations arising from the increase of the hydrogen doping. The spin-orbit scattering rate and the electron diffusion constant are reduced by hydrogen doping. 相似文献

The evidence for the key role of the sigma bands in the electronic properties of MgB2 points to the possibility of nonadiabatic effects in the superconductivity of these materials. These are governed by the small value of the Fermi energy due to the vicinity of the hole doping level to the top of the sigma bands. We show that the nonadiabatic theory leads to a coherent interpretation of T(c) = 39 K and the boron isotope coefficient alphaB = 0.30 without invoking very large couplings and it naturally explains the role of the disorder on T(c). It also leads to various specific predictions for the properties of MgB2 and for the material optimization of these types of compounds. 相似文献

Using scanning tunneling spectroscopy, we investigated the temperature dependence of the quasiparticle density of states of overdoped Bi(2)Sr(2)CuO(6+delta) between 275 mK and 82 K. Below T(c) = 10 K, the spectra show a gap with well-defined coherence peaks at +/-Delta(p) approximately 12 meV, which disappear at T(c). Above T(c), the spectra display a clear pseudogap of the same magnitude, gradually filling up and vanishing at T(*) approximately 68 K. The comparison with Bi(2)Sr(2)CaCu(2)O(8+delta) demonstrates that the pseudogap and the superconducting gap scale with each other, providing strong evidence that they have a common origin. 相似文献

We report measurements of the inverse squared magnetic penetration depth, lambda(-2)(T), in Pr(2-x)Ce(x)CuO(4-delta) (0.115< or =x < or =0.152) superconducting films grown on SrTiO3 (001) substrates coated with a buffer layer of insulating Pr2CuO4. lambda(-2)(0), T(c), and normal-state resistivities of these films indicate that they are clean and homogeneous. Over a wide range of Ce doping, 0.124< or =x < or =0.144, lambda(-2)(T) at low T is flat: it changes by less than 0.15% over a factor of 3 change in T, indicating a gap in the superconducting density of states. Fits to the first 5% decrease in lambda(-2)(T) produce values of the minimum superconducting gap in the range of 0.29< or =Delta(min)/k(B)T(c)< or =1.01. 相似文献

Results from the study of a highly overdoped (OD) Bi(2)Sr(2)CaCu(2)O(8+delta) with a T(c) = 51 K using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy are presented. We observe a sharp peak in the spectra near ( pi,0) that persists well above T(c), a nodal self-energy which approaches that seen for the Mo(110) surface state, and a more k-independent line shape at the Fermi surface than the lower-doped cuprates. This allows for a realistic comparison of the lifetime values to the experimental resistivity measurements. These observations point to the validity of the quasiparticle picture for the OD even in the normal state. 相似文献

The thermodynamics of the superconducting transition is studied as a function of doping using high-resolution expansivity data of YBa(2)Cu(3)O (x) single crystals and Monte Carlo simulations of the anisotropic 3D- XY model. We directly show that T(c) of underdoped YBa(2)Cu(3)O (x) is strongly suppressed from its mean-field value (T(MF)(c)) by phase fluctuations of the superconducting order parameter. For overdoped YBa(2)Cu(3)O (x) fluctuation effects are greatly reduced and T(c) approximately T(MF)(c). We find that T(MF)(c) exhibits a similar doping dependence as the pseudogap energy, naturally suggesting that the pseudogap arises from phase-incoherent Cooper pairing. 相似文献

A novel approach for extracting genuine surface conductivities is presented and illustrated using the unresolved example of Si(111)-(7 x 7). Its temperature-dependent conductivity was measured with a microscopic four point probe between room temperature and 100 K. At room temperature the measured conductance corresponds to that expected from the bulk doping level. However, as the temperatures is lowered below approximately 200 K, the conductance decreases by several orders of magnitude in a small temperature range and it saturates at a low temperature value of approximately 4 x 10(-8) Omega(-1), irrespective of bulk doping. This abrupt transition is interpreted as the switching from bulk to surface conduction, an interpretation which is supported by a numerical model for the measured four point probe conductance. The value of the surface conductance is considerably lower than that of a good metal. 相似文献

Ba(1-x)K(x)Fe(2)As(2) superconducting samples (x = 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.5) were synthesized by the solid-state reaction method. In this contribution the doping effect of potassium on the lattice dynamics in this newly discovered Ba(1-x)K(x)Fe(2)As(2) superconductor has been investigated by extended X-ray absorption fine-structure spectroscopy. The analysis shows that with potassium doping an increased disorder in the iron layers is mainly related to the softening of the Fe-Fe bond. Information about the electronic structure of these materials has also been obtained by looking at the X-ray absorption near-edge structure spectra that point out the presence of holes in the Fe-3d/As-4p hybridized orbital of the BaFe(2)As(2)-based system. 相似文献
