Two Schiff bases N,N′-(bis(pyridin-2-yl)benzylidene)propane-1,3-diamine (pbpd) and N,N′-(bis(pyridin-2-yl)formylidene)butane-1,4-diamine (pfbd) have been prepared and used to synthesize copper(II) complexes. Four complexes of the type [Cu(L)(N3)]X (1–4) [L = pbpd; X = ClO4 (1); L = pbpd; X = PF6 (2); L = pfbd; X = ClO4 (3); L = pfbd; X = PF6 (4)] have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of microanalytical, spectroscopic, magnetic, electrochemical, luminescence and other physicochemical properties. Two representative complexes of the series, 2 and 3, have been characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction measurements which reveal that in each complex the copper(II) ion assumes a distorted trigonal bipyramidal environment through coordination of the metal centre by two pyridine N atoms and two imine N atoms of the Schiff base with the fifth position occupied by a N atom of a terminal . They display intraligand 1(π–π*) fluorescence at room temperature and intraligand 3(π–π*) phosphorescence in glassy solutions (MeOH at 77 K). A band (492 nm) observed for the complexes in their solid-state emission spectra is an excimeric emission arising due to an aromatic π–π interaction. Electrochemical electron transfer study reveals CuII–CuI reduction in methanolic solutions.  相似文献

A 3D network [Cu(tmen)(tp)(H2O)2]n (1) (tmen = N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylethylenediamine; tp = terephthalate) and a 2D sheet [Cu(pyrazole)2(tp)]n (2), featuring 1D chains interwoven by hydrogen bonds, have been prepared and characterized by means of X-ray analyses and magnetic measurements. For 1, coordinative zigzag chains contain Cu(II) centers capped by the chelate ligand tmen, in which the tetragonal structure is elongated due to Jahn–Teller distortion. Coordinated water molecules are hydrogen-bonded to two free carboxylate oxygens of tp bridges, leading to the observed 3D structure. The use of the non-chelating capping ligand pyrazole produced the covalent-bonded 1D linear compound 2 with hydrogen bonds. A severe octahedral distortion of the Cu(II) center arises from a small bite angle (52.3(1)°) of two carboxylate oxygen atoms of tp, which are in turn hydrogen-bonded to the N–H groups of pyrazole ligands coordinated to Cu(II) atoms in neighboring chains. Magnetic data were fitted with the high-temperature series expansion for the Heisenberg chain spin Hamiltonian H = −JiSi · Si + 1 together with consideration of the molecular field approximation (zJ′). Both compounds interestingly exhibit ferromagnetic interactions with g = 2.17, J = 4.08 cm−1, zJ′ = −0.28 cm−1 for 1 and g = 2.09, J = 1.47 cm−1, zJ′ = −0.04 cm−1 for 2. By taking into account structural parameters of distances between Cu atoms, it is reasonably assigned that the ferromagnetic couplings (J > 0) in these systems originate from the hydrogen bonds. The spin density of the dx2-y2 orbital on a Cu(II) atom in a chain is propagated and induced over the dz2 orbital of another Cu(II) atom in an adjacent chain. This orbital orthogonality gives rise to such interactions. The negative zJ′ term suggests that the tp bridges communicate only tiny antiferromagnetic interactions.  相似文献

A new oxamato-bridged NiIICuIINiII species, [Ni(tacn)(H2O)]2[μ-Cu(pba)](ClO4)2·6H2O 1, (tacn=1,4,7-triazacyclononane; pba=1,3-propylenebis(oxamato)) has been synthesized and structurally as well as magnetically characterized. Complex 1 has a discrete trinuclear NiIICuIINiII structure: Two nickel(II) ions are bridged by [Cu(pba)]2− anion, macrocyclic ligand tacn works as terminal ligand of the nickel(II) center. The magnetic data of compound 1 was analyzed by means of
leading to gCu=2.19, gNi=2.18, J=−112.8 cm−1, D=±4.31 cm−1. The parameters are compared with the similar complexes and the irregular spin state structure of complex 1 is also described here.  相似文献

The synthesis, crystal structure and magnetic measurements of three new polynuclear tetracarboxylato-bridged copper(II) complexes, i.e. {[Cu4(phen)2(μ-O2CC2H5)8] · (H2O)}n (1), [Cu2(μ-O2CC6H4OH)4(C7H7NO)2] · 6H2O (2) and [Cu2(μ-O2CCH3)4(C7H7NO)2] (3) (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, O2CC6H4OH = 3-hydroxy benzoate, C7H7NO = 4-acetylpyridine) are reported. All compounds consist of dinuclear units, in which two Cu(II) ions are bridged by four syn,syn11:μ carboxylates, showing a paddle-wheel cage type with a square-pyramidal geometry, arranged in different ways. The structure of compound 1 consists of an one-dimensional structure generated by an alternating classical dinuclear paddle-wheel unit and an unusual dinuclear Cu2(μ-OCOC2H5)2(μ-O2CC2H5)2(phen)2unit, which are connected to each other via a syn,anti-triatomic propionato bridge in an axial-equatorial configuration. The adjacent chains are connected to generate a 2D structure through the face-to-face π–π interaction between phen rings. Structures of compounds 2 and 3 both consist of a symmetric dinuclear Cu(II) carboxylate paddle-wheel core and pyridyl nitrogen atoms of 4-acetylpyridine ligand at the apical position, and just differ in the substituents of the equatorial ligands.

The magnetic properties have been measured and correlated with the molecular structures. It is found that in the two classical paddle-wheel compounds the Cu(II) ions are strongly antiferromagnetically coupled with J = −278.5 and −287.0 cm−1 for complexes 2 and 3, respectively. In compound 1 the magnetic susceptibility could be fitted with two different, independent Cu(II) units, one strongly coupled and one weakly coupled; the paddle-wheel dinuclear unit has the strongest antiferromagetic coupling with a value for J of −299.5 cm−1, whereas the Cu(II) ions in the propionato-bridged dinuclear unit of 1 display a very weak antiferromagnetic coupling with a value for J = −0.75 cm−1, due to the orthogonality of the magnetic orbitals. Also the exchange within the chain is therefore very weak. The magneto-structural correlations for complexes 1, 2, and 3 are discussed on the basis of the structural parameters and magnetic data for the complexes.  相似文献

The preparation, spectroscopic characterization and magnetic study of N,N′-bis(substituted-phenyl)oxamidate-bridged nickel(II) dinuclear complexes of formula {[Ni(N3-mc)]2(μ-CONC6H4-X)}(PF6)2 (N3-mc = 2,4,4-trimethyl-1,5,9-triazacyclo-dodec-1-ene (Me3-N3-mc) or 2,4,4,9-tetramethyl-1,5,9-triazacyclododec-1-ene (Me4-N3-mc), X = 2-Cl, 4-Cl, 2-OCH3, 4-OCH3) are reported. These paramagnetic nickel(II) complexes have been characterized by both one- and two-dimensional (COSY) 1H NMR techniques. The COSY spectrum of 5 has allowed to achieve the assignment of the phenyl protons of the N,N′-diphenyloxamidate. The crystal structures of [Ni(Me3-N3-mc)(μ-CONC6H4-4-Cl)]2(PF6)2 (6), [Ni(Me3-N3-mc)(μ-CONC6H4-4-OMe)]2(PF6)2 (8) and [Ni(Me4-N3-mc)(μ-CONC6H4-2-Cl)]2(PF6)2 (9) have been determined and their magnetic properties have been studied. The value of magnetic coupling between the two nickel(II) ions across the oxamidate bridge [J = − 37.6 (6), −39.9 (8) and −39.7 cm−1 (9)] is sensitive to the distortion of the coordination sphere of the metal ions and the topology of the molecular bridge.  相似文献

In a previous paper [Ding et al., J. Membr. Sci. 276 (2006) 232], we have investigated the performance in microfiltration of mineral suspensions of a novel filtration pilot consisting in overlapping ceramic membranes disks rotating at same speed on two parallel shafts. In this paper, we investigate a modification of this concept in which the ceramic disks of one shaft were replaced by non-permeating metal disks of same size rotating at a speed different from that of membranes. We also operated the pilot without disks on the 2nd shaft in order to eliminate membrane overlapping. When using metal disks with radial vanes, permeate fluxes were found to be 50–60% higher than those obtained in the same conditions with the previous design using only ceramic disks. By comparing permeate fluxes in different configurations, membranes on both shafts, membranes on the 1st shaft with and without metal disks on the 2nd shaft, we showed that, at a feed concentration of 200 g L−1, the effect on permeate flux J, of shear rate increment due to membrane overlapping, could be completely offset by the high concentration increase between two adjacent and overlapping membranes. Raising the ceramic disks rotation speed Nc had a larger effect on J than increasing the metal disks speed Nm. For Nc = 32.16 Hz (1930 rpm) and Nm = 2.4 Hz (144 rpm), J reached 1790 L h−1 m−2 at 310 kPa, versus 1100 L h−1 m−2 for Nc = 12.3 Hz (738 rpm) and Nm = 22.26 Hz (1336 rpm) (for the same total sum Nc + Nm). Measurements of electrical power consumed by friction on rotating disks showed that the energy spent per m3 of permeate was lowest when using metal disk with vanes rotating at low speed and ceramic disks rotating at high speed.  相似文献

Five new complexes of composition [Cu(dpt)Ni(CN)4] (1) (dpt=dipropylenetriamine), [Cu(dien)Ni(CN)4]·2H2O (2) (dien=diethylenetriamine), [Cu(N,N′-dimeen)Ni(CN)4]·H2O (3) (N,N′-dimeen=N,N′-dimethylethylenediamine), [Cu(N,N-dimeen)Ni(CN)4]·H2O (4) (N,N-dimeen=N,N-dimethylethylenediamine) and [Cu(trimeen)Ni(CN)4] (5) (trimeen=N,N,N′-trimethylethylenediamine) have been obtained by the reactions of the mixture of Cu(ClO4)2·6H2O, appropriate amine and K2[Ni(CN)4] in water and have been characterized by IR and UV–Vis spectroscopies and magnetic measurements. The crystal structure of [Cu(dpt)Ni(CN)4] (1) has been determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The structure of 1 consists of a one-dimensional polymeric chain ---Cu(dpt)---NC---Ni(CN)2---CN---Cu(dpt)--- in which the Cu(II) and Ni(II) atoms are linked by CN groups. The nickel atom is four coordinate with four cyanide-carbon atoms (two cyano groups are terminal and two cyano groups (in cis fashion) are bridged) in a square-planar arrangement and the copper atom is five coordinate with two cyanide-nitrogen and three dpt-nitrogen atoms, in a distorted square-pyramidal arrangement. The temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility (2–300 K) was measured for compound 1. The magnetic investigation showed the presence of a very weak antiferromagnetic interaction (J=−0.16 cm−1) between the copper atoms within each chain through the diamagnetic Ni(CN)4 2− ions.  相似文献

The dinuclear complex [Co2(μ-OAc)2(OAc)2(μ-H2O)(phen)2] has been prepared and its structure was determined. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c. The Co–Co distance is 3.574 Å and is similar to the Fe–Fe distance in the reduced methane monooxygenase hydroxylase. The electronic and IR spectra of the complex confirm octahedral coordination of the cobalt atoms and formation of strong O–HO hydrogen bonds in the solid state. The dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of the complex on temperature indicates an antiferromagnetic interaction, the value of the isotropic exchange parameter J was estimated to be −2.1 cm−1. The 1H NMR spectra show that in organic solvents the structure of compound is the same as in the solid state, however, in water solution the complex dissociates giving compounds with different Co:phen ratios.  相似文献

The mononuclear manganese(III) complex of formula [Mn(saloph)(N3)(CH3OH)] [saloph=N,N′-o-phenylenebis(salicylidenaminato)] has been synthesized and its crystal structure has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction method. The compound has a 1D hydrogen-bonded extended structure. Both the FT-IR spectrum and the electrospray ionization mass spectrum (ESI-MS) of the title compound have been recorded. The thermogravimetric analysis has also been carried out. Magnetic calculations showed the presence of antiferromagnetic exchange interactions between the manganese(III) ions through hydrogen bonds with J=−4.0 cm−1.  相似文献

A tetra-nuclear copper(II) complex [Cu4(C54H46N4O14)(OH)2] · 10H2O (1) has been synthesized starting from l-tyrosine, NaOH, 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol (dfp) and CuSO4 · 5H2O. Compound 1 crystallizes from an ethanol–water mixture in triclinic space group. In the crystal of 1, two binuclear copper units, related by a center of symmetry, are bridged by two hydroxo bridges and results in the formation of a tetra-nuclear {Cu4} structure. Five lattice water molecules, located in the asymmetric unit, interact among themselves and form an unusual form of a water nonamer. In the crystal, the water nonamer is again hydrogen bonded to the next nonamer forming a chainlike polymer. Each {Cu4} complex unit attaches four such water nonamer chains. Variable temperature magnetic data fit to the Bleaney–Bower’s equation with a Curie type of impurity of S = 0.5. The best fit of the magnetic data to this equation yielded 2J = −217, g = 2.019 and a TIP value of 60 × 10−6 cm3 mol−1.  相似文献

The compound [Mn(bipy)(CA)]n (where bipy is 2,2′-bipyridine and CA2− is the dianion of 3,6-dichloro-2,5-dihydroxy-1,4-benzoquinone) has been synthesized and its crystal structure determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction at room temperature. The crystal is built from infinite chains of chloranilate-bridged manganese(II) affording a zigzag structure, with the bipyridine ligands being stacked between the chains. The variable-temperature (2.0–300 K) magnetic susceptibility and EPR data are reported and a weak antiferromagnetic exchange interaction is observed with the exchange parameter estimated as J = −0.20 cm−1.  相似文献

A novel dinuclear complex [Cu2(μ-L)4(HL)2] (1) was isolated from starting 2-pyridone (HL) via a resonance and a tautomeric transformation. Each copper centre is in a square-pyramidal coordination sphere, defined by two oxygen atoms (Cu–O4 1.978(5), Cu–O11 1.964(4) Å) and two nitrogen atoms (Cu–N2 2.003(5), Cu–N3 2.007(5) Å) of four bridging deprotonated pyridin-2-olates and an oxygen atom on the top from a neutral 2-pyridone (Cu–O2 2.227(5) Å), analogous to tetracarboxylate paddle-wheel complexes. Compound 1 was compared with mixed pyridin-2-olato/methanoato analogues [Cu2(μ-HCO2)2(μ-L)2(HL)2] · 2CH3CN (2) and [Cu2(μ-HCO2)2(μ-L)2(HL)2] (2a) (2a is an air stable form obtained from 2 outside mother-liquid). The EPR spectra of air stable 1 and 2a show three signals Hz1, H2 and Hz2, typical for the binuclear systems with spin S = 1, both revealing strong antiferromagnetism 2J = −334 (1) and −324 cm−1 (2a). Interestingly, only for 1 additional H1 signal at 100 mT is noticed (D(1) = 0.293 cm−1 <  = 0.320 cm−1 < D(2a) = 0.347 cm−1). On the other hand, several broad signals in the 100–450 mT region, only in the high temperature spectrum for 2a are observed. These results are in agreement with the magnetic susceptibility analysis.  相似文献

Four novel tetranuclear macrocyclic complexes of the formula [(CuLi)3Fe](ClO4)3·3H2O (i=1–4, Li are the dianions of the [14]N4 and [15]N4 macrocyclic oxamides, namely 2,3-dioxo-5,6:13,14-dibenzo-7,12-bis(ethoxycarbonyl)-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradeca-7,11-diene, 2,3-dioxo-5,6:13,14-dibenzo-9-methyl-7,12-bis(ethoxycarbonyl)-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradeca-7,11-diene and 2,3-dioxo-5,6:14,15-dibenzo-7,13-bis(ethoxycarbonyl)-1,4,8,12-tetraazacyclotetradeca-7,12-diene] have been prepared and characterized. These complexes are the first examples of oxamido-bridged Cu(II)–Fe(III) heterometallic species. Cryomagnetic studies on [(CuL1)3Fe](ClO4)3·3H2O (1) and [(CuL3)3Fe](ClO4)3·3H2O (3) (77–300 K) revealed that the Cu(II) and Fe(III) ions interact antiferromagnetically through the oxamido bridge, with the exchange integral J=−30.8 cm−1 for 1 and J=−28.7 cm−1 for 3 based on . The interaction parameters have been compared with that of the related [Cu3Mn] compound.  相似文献

X-Ray crystallographic studies on [NEt4]2[Cr2[(O2CC2H5)4(NCS)2] show that the Cr–Cr separation (2.467Å) in the dinuclear anion is one of the longest known. The thiocyanato groups are N-bonded, and the results emphasize the known sensitivity of the quadruple Cr–Cr bond to the nature of the axial ligands. The compound crystallises in the tetragonal space group P4/mnc with two molecules per unit cell, the dimensions of which are a = b = 9.785(1), c = 21.186(2) Å. Magnetic investigations from room to liquid nitrogen temperature on the tetra-μ-propionato complex and on [NMe4]2 [Cr2(O2CCH3)4(NCS)2] show that both complexes have been obtained free from paramagnetic chromium(III) impurities. Their weak paramagnetic susceptibilities (Xcr is approx. 200 x 10−6 cm3 mol−1 at 295 K and 50 x 10−6cm3mol−1 at 90 K) are inherent, and are ascribed to temperature independent paramagnetism at low temperature plus para-magnetism arising from slight population of the triplet state (2J 700 cm−1, g = 2, N = 50 x 10−6cm3mol−1) at higher temperatures.  相似文献

N-(ω-carboxyalkyl)morpholine hydrochlorides, OC4H8N(CH2)nCOOH·HCl, n=1–5, were obtained and analyzed by 13C cross polarization (CP) magic angle spinning (MAS) NMR, FTIR and PM3 calculations. The structure of N-(3-carboxypropyl)morpholine hydrochloride (n=3) has been solved by X-ray diffraction method at 100 K and refined to the R=0.031. The crystals are monoclinic, space group P21/c, a=14.307(3), b=9.879(2), c=7.166(1) Å, β=93.20(3)°, V=1011.3(3) Å3, Z=4. In this compound the nitrogen atom is protonated and two molecules form a centrosymmetric dimer, connected by two N+–HCl (3.095(1) Å) and two O–HCl (3.003(1) Å) hydrogen bonds. 13C CP MAS NMR spectra, contrary to the solution, showed non-equivalence of the ring carbon atoms. The PM3 calculations predict a molecular dimer without proton transfer for an HCl complex, while for an HBr complex an ion pairs with proton transfer, and reproduces correctly the conformation of both dimers but overestimates H-bond distances. Shielding constants calculated from the PM3 geometry of ion pairs gave a linear correlation with the 13C chemical shifts in solids.  相似文献

We have systematically investigated the structural features, electronic properties, thermally-induced structural phase transitions and absorption spectra depending on the solvent for ten Cu(II) complexes with 3,5-halogen-substituted Schiff base ligands. Structural characterization of two new complexes, bis(N-R-1-phenylethyl- and N-R,S-2-butyl-5-bromosalicydenaminato-κ2N,O)copper(II), reveals that they afford a compressed tetrahedral trans-[CuN2O2] coordination geometry with trans-N–Cu–N = 159.4(2)° and trans-O–Cu–O = 151.7(3)° for the 1-phenylethyl complex and trans-N–Cu–N = 157.9(3)° and trans-O–Cu–O = 151.0(3)° for the 2-butyl one. All the complexes exhibit a structural phase transition by heating in the solid state regardless of their structures at room temperature. The absorption spectra of a series of ten complexes exhibit a slight shift of the d–d band at 16 000–20 000 cm−1 and remarkable shift of the π–π* band at 24 000–28 000 cm−1, which suggests that the dipole moment of the solvents presumably affects the conformation of the π-conjugated moieties of the ligands rather than the coordination environment. We have also attempted ‘photochromic solute-induced solvatochromism’ by a system of bis(N-R-1-phenylethyl-3,5-dichlorosalicydenaminato-κ2N,O)copper(II) and photochromic 4-hydroxyazobenzene in chloroform solution. We successfully observed a change of the d–d and π–π* bands of the complex in the absorption spectra caused by cistrans photoisomerization of 4-hydroxyazobenzene.  相似文献

Binuclear complexes [{Cu(NN)(PhNHpy)}2(μ-OH)2](PF6)2, where NN=2,2′-bipyridine (bipy) or 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), have been synthesized and characterized by chemical analysis, conductance measurements and IR and electronic spectroscopy. The X-ray crystal structure of [{Cu(bipy)(PhNHpy)}2(μ-OH)2](PF6)2 shows a distorted square-planar pyramidal coordination for Cu(II), defined by two nitrogen atoms of bipy, two bridging oxygen atoms and the pyridinic nitrogen atom of the ligand. Magnetic susceptibility measurements (in the 4.8–290 K range) reveal coupling which is antiferromagnetic for the bipy complex (2J=−24.2 cm−1) and slightly ferromagnetic for the phen complex (2J=3.3 cm−1). The EPR spectra show the expected triplet signals.  相似文献

The DANTE technique and NOESY two-dimensional method have been employed to observe the isomerization of the chiral cationic complex [Pd(η3-CH2CMeCH2(P-P′)]+ (1a), where P-P′ = the chiral chelating ligand (S)(N-diphenylphosphino)(2-diphenylphosphinoxymethyl)pyrrolidine. The rate constant was found to be 0.5 s−1 in CHCl3 at 295 K and 1.50 s−1 in the presence of added free ligand. In the latter case the epimerization proceeds by a π-σ-π mechanism via the intermediacy of a primary η1-allylpalladium complex. Although the intermediate was not detected, the NMR findings reveal that it has the allylic terminus η1-bonded to palladium. The structure of 1a in its PF6 salt has been determined. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P212121 with a 10.029(4) b 19.203(8) c 36.115(6) Å, Z = 8, R = 0.0572 and Rw = 0.0712 for 3716 observed reflections with I > 3σ(I).  相似文献

The Schiff base compound, N-N′-bis(4-methoxybenzylidene)ethylenediamine (C18H20N2O2) has been synthesized and its crystal structure has been investigated by X-ray analysis and PM3 method. The compound crystallizes in monoclinic space group P21/n with a=10.190(1), b=7.954(1), c=10.636(1) Å, β=111.68(1)°, V=801.1(1) Å3, Z=2 and Dcal=1.229 Mgm−3. The title structure was solved by direct methods and refined to R=0.056 for 2414 reflections [I>3.0σ(I)] by full-matrix anisotropic least-squares methods. The energy profile of the compound was calculated by PM3 method as a function of θ[N1′–C9′–C9–N1]. The most stable molecular structure of the title compound is the anti conformation, which is different in energy by 5.0 and 1.0 kcal mol−1 from the eclipsed conformation I and gauche conformations, (III and V), respectively.  相似文献

The one-dimensional intermolecular ferromagnetic interaction of a charge-transfer (CT) complex, (BDTA)[Ni(mnt)2] (BDTA: 1,3,2-benzodithiazolyl, mnt: maleonitriledithiolate), is studied by the Kohn–Sham hybrid density functional method, in order to understand the mechanism of the magnetism. All possible effective exchange integrals, J, between the spin pairs of the system indicate that a ferromagnetic interaction (J = 172 cm−1) exists along the b-axis. Magnetic susceptibility, simulated with the ab initio determined J values by the quantum Monte Carlo (QMC) method, is qualitatively consistent with that measured experimentally.  相似文献
