Scattering of acoustoelectric waves on a inhomogeneity is studied. The scatterer is a circular, continuous piezoelectric cylinder (fiber) embedded in a transversely isotropic piezoelectric medium. Expressions are found for the scattering amplitudes and total cross sections of three acoustoelectric waves propagating in the direction normal to the fiber axis. In the long-wave approximation, these expressions are obtained in an explicit form.  相似文献

The diffraction problem for the electromagnetic plane wave scattered on a small inhomogeneity in a slightly curved layer is investigated. The inhomogeneity is assumed to be a cylinder. The area of the cross-section and the the diameter of the cylinder are small in comparison with the length of the incident wave. It is proved that the small inhomogeneity radiates as a point source the power of which is proportional to the area of the cross-section and to the jumps of the dielectric and magnetic constants on the interfaces. The bend of the layer manifests itself in the exponential factors of reflected and refracted waves and in the radiation pattern of scattered waves. The problem on the diffraction of the elastic plane wave of horizontal polarization (SH wave) from a small inhomogeneity lying in a slightly bent layer is investigated. The layer is situated on the boundary of a half-space. The inhomogeneity is assumed to be a cylinder the cross-section diameter of which is small in comparison with the length of the incident wave. The wave is polarized parallel to the axis of the cylinder. It is proved that the small inhomogeneity radiates as a point source the intensity of which is proportional to the area of the cross-section of the inhomogeneity and to the jumps of the squared velocities in the layer and in the inhomogeneity. The problem on the diffraction of a plane elastic wave with horizontal polarization (SH wave) on a small obstacle placed in a layer is investigated. The layer is situated on a half-space with stress-free boundary. The obstacle is assumed to be a circular cylinder with radius small in comparison with the length of the incident wave. The polarization of the incident wave is parallel to the axis of the cylinder. It is proved that the small inhomogeneity radiates as a linear source such that the intensity of the radiation is proportional to the area of the cross-section of the obstacle and the jump of the squared transverse velocities in the layer and in the obstacle. A method is given for constructing the total field resultingfrom a plane wave scattered by an inhomogeneous medium withcompact support. The problem is reformulated as a Fredholm integralequation of the second kind, whose solutions may be representedas a convergent Neumann series, for small values of the wavenumber. A truncation error estimate of this series is given.To illustrate the method, examples of both a sphere and a prolatespheroid filled with an inhomogeneous medium are considered.In both cases the scattering amplitude is investigated as afunction of the wave number. The global solvability of the problem about equilibrium of an elastic medium located in an elastic shell is established by variational methods. In the case of one-parametric force field, the bifurcation problem is studied. As is shown, the standard necessary condition for bifurcation is also sufficient for the problem under consideration. The object of this paper is to investigate the three-dimensional electro- magnetic scattering problems in a two-layered background medium. These problems have an important application in today's technology, such as to detect objects that are buried in soil. Here, we model both the exterior impedance problem and the inhomogeneous medium problem in R3. Interference attenuating waves traveling in a cylindrical elastic waveguide, placed in an elastic medium, are considered. The group velocity of these waves is intermediate between that of the P wave and that of the S wave; the phase velocity equals that of the P wave. The frequency of the waves is almost constant and is determined by the requirement of constructive interference. The dispersion and attenuation of these waves are described. Biot [5] examined the propagation of waves along the free surface of a cylindrical cavity in an elastic body of infinite extent and obtained a dispersion relation for the velocity of this wave in terms of the ratio of the wavelength to the cavity diameter. This paper contains solutions for waves in a semiinfinite elastic medium with a cylindrical cavity with axially symmetric harmonic loading of the plane surface. The solutions are expressed in terms of Lame potentials which are represented by combinations of integrals containing trigonometric kernels and kernels of Weber transforms. A solution is obtained for volume waves and Biot waves. The relative velocity and relative length of surface waves are studied as functions of the loading frequency.  相似文献

Kinematic characteristics of the slow wave propagating in an acoustic medium that consists of two layer (water-oil and gas-oil) and is located inside an elastic medium are considered. It is shown that the slow wave originates for arbitrary parameters of the model. Its velocity in the low-frequency approximation depends on the densities of the gas and liquid and does not depend on the velocities in them. A two-dimensional inverse scattering problem in a layered acoustic medium occupying a half-plane is considered. Data is the scattered wavefield from a surface point source measured on the boundary of the half-plane. On the basis of the Radon transform, an algorithm is constructed that recovers the velocity and the acoustic impedance of the medium from the scattering data. An analytical solution is presented for an inverse scattering problem, and several inverse scattering problems are solved numerically.  相似文献

For a homogeneous, transversely isotropic elastic medium excited by a point force acting on the isotropy plane, an exact displacement field is constructed. This field decomposes into P-SV waves and SH waves. For SH waves satisfying the Lamé equations, boundary conditions are established and rather simple expressions are derived. An elastic anisotropic medium intersected by systems of parallel fractures is investigated. Every fracture is considered as a plane boundary with jumps of displacements and stresses, and these jumps are linear functions of displacements and stresses averaged on the boundary. For this medium, an effective model is constructed by the method of matrix averaging. The equations of this model describe wave propagation in the given medium and are more complicated than the equations of elasticity theory. In particular cases, the equations obtained are converted to the equations of elastic media. On the basis of the equations of the effective model, expressions for the densities of the kinetic and potential energies are derived, and conditions of absoption in the medium are established. Torsion waves on a cylindrical cavity in a semiinfinite elastic medium are investigated. The waves are generated by steady-state torsional vibrations of a flat, circular punch coupled with the half-space. A technique of contour transformation of the integrals involved in problems of this kind is described. An algorithm and numerical results are given for calculating the modulus of the complex amplitude of the displacement vector on the cylindrical surface as a function of the vertical coordinate in both the near and far fields.  相似文献

The effect of inhomogeneity of elastic properties in the circumferential direction on the distribution of stress and displacement fields in orthotropic cylindrical panels is studied. The mechanical properties of the panels and the load acting on them are constant in the axial direction, which makes it possible to neglect the influence of the curvilinear ends. From the initial relations of a three-dimensional problem of the elasticity theory of inhomogeneous anisotropic bodies, a resolving system of partial differential equations is obtained, whose solution is presented in the form of truncated Fourier series, so that the conditions of free support of the rectilinear ends are satisfied. This allows us to separate the variables and to get a system of ordinary high-order differential equations, which is integrated by a stable numerical method. The problem on the stress-strain state of an orthotropic composite panel with a varying relative volume content of reinforcing elements in the circumferential direction is solved. The effect of the change in the reinforcement density on the stresses and displacements of the panel is studied.  相似文献
