In this paper we discuss the possibility of extending the classical theory of automorphic forms to Clifford analysis within the framework of its regularity concepts. To several weights we construct with special functions from Clifford analysis Clifford-valued automorphic forms in a hypercomplex variable that are solutions of iterated homogeneous Dirac equations in $ {\shadR}^n $ , in particular, generalizations of the classical Eisenstein series and Poincaré series on the upper half-space, on spatial octants and on the unit ball within classes of polymonogenic functions.  相似文献

Some properties of hypercomplex functions (the null solutions of the polynomial Dirac operators in Rn+1) in Clifford Analysis are discussed, their hypercomplex functional calculi for an n-tuple non-commuting self-adjoint operators A are constructed by the use of Cauchy integral formulas, the polynomial approaches to functional calculi are also considered. Although these hypercomplex function theories have different representative forms, their hypercomplex functional calculi are the same as the monogenic functional calculus.  相似文献

In this paper we deal with monogenic and k-hypermonogenic automorphic forms on arithmetic subgroups of the Ahlfors-Vahlen group. Monogenic automorphic forms are exactly the 0-hypermonogenic automorphic forms. In the first part we establish an explicit relation between k-hypermonogenic automorphic forms and Maaß wave forms. In particular, we show how one can construct from any arbitrary non-vanishing monogenic automorphic form a Clifford algebra valued Maaß wave form. In the second part of the paper we compute the Fourier expansion of the k-hypermonogenic Eisenstein series which provide us with the simplest non-vanishing examples of k-hypermonogenic automorphic forms.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider certain double series of Eisenstein type involving hyperbolic functions, which can be regarded as analogues of the level 2 Eisenstein series. We prove some evaluation formulas for these series at positive integers which are analogues of both the Hurwitz formulas for the level 2 Eisenstein series and the classical results given by Cauchy, Lerch, Mellin and Ramanujan.  相似文献

In this paper we provide a new approach for the derivation of parameterizations for the Eisenstein series. We demonstrate that a variety of classical formulas may be derived in an elementary way, without knowledge of the inversion formulae for the corresponding Schwarzian triangle functions. In particular, we provide a new derivation for the parametric representations of the Eisenstein series in terms of the complete elliptic integral of the first kind. The proof given here is distinguished from existing elementary proofs in that we do not employ the Jacobi-Ramanujan inversion formula relating theta functions and hypergeometric series. Our alternative approach is based on a Lie symmetry group for the differential equations satisfied by certain Eisenstein series. We employ similar arguments to obtain parameterizations from Ramanujan's alternative signatures and those associated with the inversion formula for the modular J-function. Moreover, we show that these parameterizations represent the only possible signatures under a certain assumed form for the Lie group parameters.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider half-space domains (semi-infinite in one of the dimensions) and strip domains (finite in one of the dimensions) in real Euclidean spaces of dimension at least 2. The Szegö reproducing kernel for the space of monogenic and square integrable functions on a strip domain is obtained in closed form as a monogenic single-periodic function, viz a monogenic cosecant. The relationship between the Szegö and Bergman kernel for monogenic functions in a strip domain is explicitated in the transversally Fourier transformed setting. This relationship is then generalised to the polymonogenic Bergman case. Finally, the half-space case is considered specifically and the simplifications are pointed out.  相似文献

In this article, we determine the spectral expansion, meromorphic continuation, and location of poles with identifiable singularities for the scalar-valued hyperbolic Eisenstein series. Similar to the form-valued hyperbolic Eisenstein series studied in Kudla and Millson (Invent Math 54:193–211, 1979), the scalar-valued hyperbolic Eisenstein series is defined for each primitive, hyperbolic conjugacy class within the uniformizing group associated to any finite volume hyperbolic Riemann surface. Going beyond the results in Kudla and Millson (Invent Math 54:193–211, 1979) and Risager (Int Math Res Not 41:2125–2146, 2004), we establish a precise spectral expansion for the hyperbolic Eisenstein series for any finite volume hyperbolic Riemann surface by first proving that the hyperbolic Eisenstein series is in L 2. Our other results, such as meromorphic continuation and determination of singularities, are derived from the spectral expansion.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider certain analogues of Eisenstein seriesinvolving hyperbolic sine and cosine functions. Using a resultof Hurwitz, we prove some evaluation formulas for these seriesat positive integers. We can regard these formulas as analoguesof the famous formulas for certain series given by Cauchy, Ramanujan,Berndt, and so on, as well as those for the Eisenstein seriesgiven by Hurwitz.  相似文献

In analogy to complex function theory we introduce a Szeg? metric in the context of hypercomplex function theory dealing with functions that take values in a Clifford algebra. In particular, we are dealing with Clifford algebra valued functions that are annihilated by the Euclidean Dirac operator in \mathbbRm+1{\mathbb{R}^{m+1}} . These are often called monogenic functions. As a consequence of the isometry between two Hardy spaces of monogenic functions on domains that are related to each other by a conformal map, the generalized Szeg? metric turns out to have a pseudo-invariance under M?bius transformations. This property is crucially applied to show that the curvature of this metric is always negative on bounded domains. Furthermore, it allows us to establish that this metric is complete on bounded domains.  相似文献

We construct a Lax-Phillips scattering system on the arithmetic quotient space of the Poincaré upper half-plane by the full modular group, based on the Eisenstein transform. We identify incoming and outgoing subspaces in the ambient space of all functions with finite energy-form for the non-Euclidean wave equation. The use of the Eisenstein transform along with some properties of the Eisenstein series of two variables enables one to work only on the space corresponding to the continuous spectrum of the Laplace-Beltrami operator. It is shown that the scattering matrix is the complex function appearing in the the functional equation of the Eisenstein series of two variables. We obtain a compression operator constructed from the Laplace-Beltrami operator, whose spectrum consists of eigenvalues that coincide, counted with multiplicities, with the non-trivial zeros of the Riemann zeta-function. For this purpose we construct and use a scattering model on the one-dimensional Euclidean space.   相似文献

In the paper one computes the Fourier coefficients of the Eisenstein series of the orthogonal group of signature (1, 4). The formulas show that the restriction of the Eisenstein series to the “imaginary” axis is a Dirichlet series, whose coefficients are the products of the L-series by the number of the representations of the given number as a sum of three squares. The main goal of this paper is to construct a spatial analog to the Kolosov–Muskhelishvili formulae using the framework of the hypercomplex function theory. We prove a generalization of Goursat's representation theorem for solutions of the biharmonic equation in three dimensions. On the basis of this result, we construct explicitly hypercomplex displacement and stress formulae in terms of two monogenic functions. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Zagier introduced toroidal automorphic forms to study the zeros of zeta functions: an automorphic form on GL2 is toroidal if all its right translates integrate to zero over all non-split tori in GL2, and an Eisenstein series is toroidal if its weight is a zero of the zeta function of the corresponding field. We compute the space of such forms for the global function fields of class number one and genus g?1, and with a rational place. The space has dimension g and is spanned by the expected Eisenstein series. We deduce an “automorphic” proof for the Riemann hypothesis for the zeta function of those curves.  相似文献

We prove dimension formulas for the cotangent spaces T 1 and T 2 for a class of rational surface singularities by calculating a correction term in the general dimension formulas. We get that it is zero if the dual graph of the rational surface singularity X does not contain a particular type of configurations, and this generalizes a result of Theo de Jong stating that the correction term c (X ) is zero for rational determinantal surface singularities. In particular our result implies that c (X ) is zero for Riemenschneiders quasi‐determinantal rational surface singularities, and this also generalizes results for quotient singularities.
