Given 1 ≤ p < ∞, a compact abelian group G and a p-multiplier ${\psi : \Gamma \to {\mathbb C}}Given 1 ≤ p < ∞, a compact abelian group G and a p-multiplier y: G? \mathbb C{\psi : \Gamma \to {\mathbb C}} (with Γ the dual group), we study the optimal domain of the multiplier operator T(p)y : Lp (G) ? Lp (G){T^{(p)}_\psi : L^p (G) \to L^p (G)}. This is the largest Banach function space, denoted by L1(m(p)y){L^1(m^{(p)}_\psi)}, with order continuous norm into which L p (G) is embedded and to which T(p)y{ T^{(p)}_\psi} has a continuous L p (G)-valued extension. Compactness conditions for the optimal extension are given, as well as criteria for those ψ for which L1(m(p)y) = Lp (G){L^1(m^{(p)}_\psi) = L^p (G)} is as small as possible and also for those ψ for which L1(m(p)y) = L1 (G){L^1(m^{(p)}_\psi) = L^1 (G)} is as large as possible. Several results and examples are presented for cases when Lp (G) \subsetneqq L1(m(p)y) \subsetneqq L1 (G){L^p (G) \subsetneqq L^1(m^{(p)}_\psi) \subsetneqq L^1 (G)}.  相似文献

Let G be a locally compact group with a fixed right Haar measure andX a separable Banach space. LetL p (G, X) be the space of X-valued measurable functions whose norm-functions are in the usualL p . A left multiplier ofL p (G, X) is a bounded linear operator onB p (G, X) which commutes with all left translations. We use the characterization of isometries ofL p (G, X) onto itself to characterize the isometric, invertible, left multipliers ofL p (G, X) for 1 ≤p ∞,p ≠ 2, under the assumption thatX is not thel p -direct sum of two non-zero subspaces. In fact we prove that ifT is an isometric left multiplier ofL p (G, X) onto itself then there existsa y ∃ G and an isometryU ofX onto itself such thatTf(x) = U (R y f)(x). As an application, we determine the isometric left multipliers of L1L p (G, X) and L1C 0 (G, X) whereG is non-compact andX is not the lp-direct sum of two non-zero subspaces. If G is a locally compact abelian group andH is a separable Hubert space, we define where г is the dual group of G. We characterize the isometric, invertible, left multipliers ofA p (G, H), provided G is non-compact. Finally, we use the characterization of isometries ofC(G, X) for G compact to determine the isometric left multipliers ofC(G, X) providedX * is strictly convex.  相似文献

Abstract Let μ and ν be normal functions and let T g be the extended Cesàso operator in terms of the symbol g. In this paper, we will characterize those g so that T g is bounded (or compact) from mixed norm spaces H(p, q, μ) to H(p, q, ν) in the unit ball of C n . Furthermore, as applications, some analogous results are also given on weighted Bergman spaces and Dirichlet type spaces. We study random graphs, both G( n,p) and G( n,m), with random orientations on the edges. For three fixed distinct vertices s,a,b we study the correlation, in the combine probability space, of the events $\{a\to s\}$ and $\{s\to b\}$ . For G(n,p), we prove that there is a $pc = 1/2$ such that for a fixed $p < pc$ the correlation is negative for large enough n and for $p > pc$ the correlation is positive for large enough n. We conjecture that for a fixed $n \ge 27$ the correlation changes sign three times for three critical values of p. For G(n,m) it is similarly proved that, with $p=m/({{n}\atop {2}})$ , there is a critical pc that is the solution to a certain equation and approximately equal to 0.7993. A lemma, which computes the probability of non existence of any $\ell$ directed edges in G(n,m), is thought to be of independent interest. We present exact recursions to compute \input amssym $\Bbb{P}(a\to s)$ and \input amssym $\Bbb{P}(a\to s, s\to b)$ . Some aspects of approximation theory are studied in the paper for the spaces of integrable functions with variable exponent. In particular, necessary and suffcient conditions on the variable exponent are established that guarantee the basis property of the trigonometric system in the corresponding normed spaces. Compact and weakly compact elements of the group algebra L 1 (G) of a locally compact group G, have been considered by a number of authors. In these investigations it has been shown that, if G is non-compact, then the only weakly compact element of L 1 (G ) is zero. Conversely, if G is compact, then every element of L 1 (G) is compact. For 1<p<∞, let PM p (G)and PF p (G) denote the closure of L 1 (G), considered as an algebra of convolution operators on L p (G), with respect to the weak operator topology and the norm topology, respectively, in B(L p (G), b), the bounded linear operators on L 1 (G).
