Fractional diffusion equation for transport phenomena in fractal media is an integro-partial differential equation. For solving the problem of this kind of equation the invariants of the group of scaling transformations are given and then used for deriving the integro-ordinary differential equation for the scale-invariant solution. With the help of Mellin transform the scale-invariant solution is obtained in terms of Fox functions. And the series and asymptotic representations for the solution are considered.  相似文献

Let x : Mn^n→ R^n+1 be an n(≥2)-dimensional hypersurface immersed in Euclidean space Rn+1. Let σi(0≤ i≤ n) be the ith mean curvature and Qn = ∑i=0^n(-1)^i+1 (n^i)σ1^n-iσi. Recently, the author showed that Wn(x) = ∫M QndM is a conformal invariant under conformal group of R^n+1 and called it the nth Willmore functional of x. An extremal hypersurface of conformal invariant functional Wn is called an nth order Willmore hypersurface. The purpose of this paper is to construct concrete examples of the 3rd order Willmore hypersurfaces in Ra which have good geometric behaviors. The ordinary differential equation characterizing the revolutionary 3rd Willmore hypersurfaces is established and some interesting explicit examples are found in this paper.  相似文献

Denoting by T the complex projective torus, we can embed the surface CP^1 × T in CP^5. In this paper we compute the fundamental group of the complement of the branch curve of this surface. Since the embedding is not "ample enough", the embedded surface does not belong to the classes of surfaces where the fundamental group is virtually solvable: a property which holds for these groups for "ample enough" embeddings. On the other hand, as it is the first example of this computation for non simply-connected surfaces, the structure of this group (as shown in this paper) give rise to the extension of the conjecture regarding the structure of those fundamental groups of any surface.  相似文献

In this paper, a difference scheme is derived for the one dimensionallinear hyperbolic differential equation with derivative boundary conditions by themethod of reduction of order. A three dimensional Lorentzian hypersurface x : M_1~3→ R_1~4 is called conformally flat if its induced metric is conformal to the flat Lorentzian metric, and this property is preserved under the conformal transformation of R_1~4. Using the projective light-cone model, for those whose shape operators have three distinct real eigenvalues, we calculate the integrability conditions by constructing a scalar conformal invariant and a canonical moving frame in this paper. Similar to the Riemannian case, these hypersurfaces can be determined by the solutions to some system of partial differential equations.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the connection between the Painlev′e property and the integrability of polynomial dynamical systems. We show that if a polynomial dynamical system has Painlev′e property, then it admits certain class of first integrals. We also present some relationships between the Painlev′e property and the structure of the differential Galois group of the corresponding variational equations along some complex integral curve.  相似文献

Then M~n is associated with a so-called Mobius metric g,and a Mobius second fundamental form B which are invariants of M~n under the Mobiustransformation group of S~(n+1). As known to all,it is quite difficult to compute the fundamental group of a surface of general type.In this paper,applying Moishezon-Teicher's algorithm,we investigate the fundamental group of a special surface of general type with zero topological index,namely,the Galois cover of the(2,3)-embedding of CP~1×T.Because the full presentation of the group is very complicated,we compute its special quotient and get an interesting result about its structure.  相似文献

In this paper, we interpret Massey products in terms of realizations (twitsting cochains) of certain differential graded coalgebras with values in differential graded algebras. In the case where the target algebra is the cobar construction of a differential graded commutative Hopf algebra, we construct the tensor product of realizations and show that the tensor product is strictly associative, and commutative up to homotopy.  相似文献

This article concerns the construction of approximate solutions for a general stochastic integrodifferential equation which is not explicitly solvable and whose coeffcients functionally depend on Lebesgue integrals and stochastic integrals with respect to martingales. The approximate equations are linear ordinary stochastic differential equations, the solutions of which are defined on sub-intervals of an arbitrary partition of the time interval and connected at successive division points. The closeness of the initial and approximate solutions is measured in the L^p-th norm, uniformly on the time interval. The convergence with probability one is also given.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group and S be a finite simple group. In this paper, we prove that if G and S have the same sets of all orders of solvable subgroups, then G is isomorphic to S, or G and S are isomorphic to Bn(q), Cn(q), where n≥3 and q is odd. The authors define the Gauss map of surfaces in the three-dimensional Heisenberg group and give a representation formula for surfaces of prescribed mean curvature. Quantile regression is gradually emerging as a powerful tool for estimating models of conditional quantile functions, and therefore research in this area has vastly increased in the past two decades. This paper, with the quantile regression technique, is the first comprehensive longitudinal study on mathematics participation data collected in Alberta, Canada. The major advantage of longitudinal study is its capability to separate the so-called cohort and age effects in the context of population studies. One aim of this paper is to study whether the family background factors alter performance on the mathematical achievement of the strongest students in the same way as that of weaker students based on the large longitudinal sample of 2000, 2001 and 2002 mathematics participation longitudinal data set. The interesting findings suggest that there may be differential family background factor effects at different points in the mathematical achievement conditional distribution.  相似文献

Differential geometry play a fundamental role in discussing partial differential equations(PDEs) in mathematical physics. Recently discrete differential geometry is an active mathematical terrain, which aims at the development and application of discrete equivalents of the geometric notions and methods of differential geometry. In this paper, a discrete theory of exterior differential calculus and the analogue of the Poincar′e lemma for differential-difference complex are proposed. In this paper, we obtain some asymptotic behavior results for solutions to the prescribed Gaussian curvature equation. Moreover, we prove that under a conformal metric in ■~2, if the total Gaussian curvature is 4π, the conformal area of ■~2 is finite and the Gaussian curvature is bounded, then ■~2 is a compact C~(1,α)surface after completion at ∞, for any α∈(0, 1). If the Gaussian curvature has a H?lder decay at infinity, then the completed surface is C~2. For radial solutions, the same regularity holds if the Gaussian curvature has a limit at infinity.  相似文献
