Let T be an infinite set of prime numbers, $ \mathcal{M} $ be a set of groups $ \left\{ {\left. {\mathbb{Z}(p)} \right|p \in T} \right\} $ . An Abelian group A is said to be $ \mathcal{M} $ -large if $$ {\text{Hom}}\left( {A,\;\mathop { \bigoplus }\limits_{p \in T} \mathbb{Z}(p)} \right) = {\text{Hom}}\left( {A,\;\prod\limits_{p \in T} {\mathbb{Z}(p)} } \right). $$ This paper presents a characterization of $ \mathcal{M} $ -large torsion-free and mixed groups.  相似文献

Let S be a subgroup of a group G. A set ${\Pi= \{H_1, \ldots , H_n\}}$ of subgroups ${H_i (i = 1, \ldots ,n)}$ with ${G=\cup_{H_i\in\Pi}H_i}$ is said to be an equal quasi-partition of G if ${H_i\cap H_j\cong S}$ and ${|H_i|=|H_j|}$ for all ${H_i, H_j\in\Pi}$ with ${i\ne j}$ . In this paper we investigate finite p-groups such that a subset of their maximal subgroups form an equal quasi-partition.  相似文献

Let G be a finitely generated torsion-free nilpotent group and ${\phi:H\rightarrow G}$ be a surjective homomorphism from a subgroup H < G of finite index with trivial ${\phi}$ -core. For every choice of coset representatives of H in G there is a faithful self-similar action of the group G associated with ${(G, \phi)}$ . We are interested in what cases all these actions are finite-state and in what cases there exists a finite-state self-similar action for ${(G, \phi)}$ . These two properties are characterized in terms of the Jordan normal form of the corresponding automorphism $\widehat{\phi}$ of the Lie algebra of the Mal’cev completion of G.  相似文献

A group distance magic labeling or a ${\mathcal{G}}$ -distance magic labeling of a graph G =  (V, E) with ${|V | = n}$ is a bijection f from V to an Abelian group ${\mathcal{G}}$ of order n such that the weight ${w(x) = \sum_{y\in N_G(x)}f(y)}$ of every vertex ${x \in V}$ is equal to the same element ${\mu \in \mathcal{G}}$ , called the magic constant. In this paper we will show that if G is a graph of order n =  2 p (2k + 1) for some natural numbers p, k such that ${\deg(v)\equiv c \mod {2^{p+1}}}$ for some constant c for any ${v \in V(G)}$ , then there exists a ${\mathcal{G}}$ -distance magic labeling for any Abelian group ${\mathcal{G}}$ of order 4n for the composition G[C 4]. Moreover we prove that if ${\mathcal{G}}$ is an arbitrary Abelian group of order 4n such that ${\mathcal{G} \cong \mathbb{Z}_2 \times\mathbb{Z}_2 \times \mathcal{A}}$ for some Abelian group ${\mathcal{A}}$ of order n, then there exists a ${\mathcal{G}}$ -distance magic labeling for any graph G[C 4], where G is a graph of order n and n is an arbitrary natural number.  相似文献

A group G is called a ${\mathcal {T}_{c}}$ -group if every cyclic subnormal subgroup of G is normal in G. Similarly, classes ${\mathcal {PT}_{c}}$ and ${\mathcal {PST}_{c}}$ are defined, by requiring cyclic subnormal subgroups to be permutable or S-permutable, respectively. A subgroup H of a group G is called normal (permutable or S-permutable) cyclic sensitive if whenever X is a normal (permutable or S-permutable) cyclic subgroup of H there is a normal (permutable or S-permutable) cyclic subgroup Y of G such that ${X=Y \cap H}$ . We analyze the behavior of a collection of cyclic normal, permutable and S-permutable subgroups under the intersection map into a fixed subgroup of a group. In particular, we tie the concept of normal, permutable and S-permutable cyclic sensitivity with that of ${\mathcal {T}_c}$ , ${\mathcal {PT}_c}$ and ${\mathcal {PST}_c}$ groups. In the process we provide another way of looking at Dedekind, Iwasawa and nilpotent groups.  相似文献

This paper is a survey of our recent results concerning metabelian varieties, and more specifically, varieties generated by wreath products of Abelian groups. We give a full classification of cases where sets of wreath products of Abelian groups $ \mathfrak{X} $ Wr $ \mathfrak{Y} $ = { X Wr Y | X ∈ $ \mathfrak{X} $ , Y $ \mathfrak{Y} $ } and $ \mathfrak{X} $ wr $ \mathfrak{Y} $ = {X wr Y | X $ \mathfrak{X} $ , Y $ \mathfrak{Y} $ } generate the product variety $ \mathfrak{X} $ var ( $ \mathfrak{Y} $ ).  相似文献

A subgroup property $\alpha $ is transitive in a group $G$ if $U \alpha V$ and $V \alpha G$ imply that $U \alpha G$ whenever $U \le V \le G$ , and $\alpha $ is persistent in $G$ if $U \alpha G$ implies that $U \alpha V$ whenever $U \le V \le G$ . Even though a subgroup property $\alpha $ may be neither transitive nor persistent, a given subgroup $U$ may have the property that each $\alpha $ -subgroup of $U$ is an $\alpha $ -subgroup of $G$ , or that each $\alpha $ -subgroup of $G$ in $U$ is an $\alpha $ -subgroup of $U$ . We call these subgroup properties $\alpha $ -transitivity and $\alpha $ -persistence, respectively. We introduce and develop the notions of $\alpha $ -transitivity and $\alpha $ -persistence, and we establish how the former property is related to $\alpha $ -sensitivity. In order to demonstrate how these concepts can be used, we apply the results to the cases in which $\alpha $ is replaced with “normal” and the “cover-avoidance property.” We also suggest ways in which the theory can be developed further.  相似文献

A subgroup $H$ of a group $G$ is called $\mathbb{P }$ -subnormal in $G$ whenever either $H=G$ or there is a chain of subgroups $H=H_0\subset H_1\subset \cdots \subset H_n=G$ such that $|H_i:H_{i-1}|$  is a prime for all $i$ . In this paper we study groups with $\mathbb{P }$ -subnormal 2-maximal subgroups, and groups with $\mathbb{P }$ -subnormal primary cyclic subgroups.  相似文献

Let $ \mathfrak{g} $ be the complex semisimple Lie algebra associated to a complex semisimple algebraic group G, $ \mathfrak{b} $ a Borel subalgebra of $ \mathfrak{g} $ , $ \mathfrak{h}\subset \mathfrak{b} $ the Cartan sublagebra, and N ? G the unipotent subgroup corresponding to the nilradical $ \mathfrak{n}\subset \mathfrak{b} $ . We show that the explicit formula for the extremal projection operator for $ \mathfrak{g} $ obtained by Asherova, Smirnov, and Tolstoy and similar formulas for Zhelobenko operators are related to the existence of a birational equivalence $ N\times \mathfrak{h}\to \mathfrak{b} $ given by the restriction of the adjoint action. Simple geometric proofs of formulas for the “classical” counterparts of the extremal projection operator and of Zhelobenko operators are also obtained.  相似文献

Berkovich investigated the following concept: a subgroup H of a finite group G is called an NR-subgroup (Normal Restriction) if whenever ${K \trianglelefteq H}$ , then ${K^G \cap H = K}$ , where K G is the normal closure of K in G. Bianchi, Gillio Berta Mauri, Herzog and Verardi proved a characterization of soluble T-groups by means of ${\mathcal{H}}$ -subgroups: a subgroup H of G is said to be an ${\mathcal{H}}$ -subgroup of G if ${H^g \cap N_G(H) \leq H}$ for all ${g \in G}$ . In this article we give new characterizations of finite soluble PST-groups in terms of NR-subgroups or ${\mathcal{H}}$ -subgroups. We will show that they are different from the ones given by Ballester-Bolinches, Esteban-Romero and Pedraza-Aguilera. Robinson established the structure of minimal non-PST-groups. We give the classification of groups all of whose second maximal subgroups (of even order) are soluble PST-groups.  相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{D}}$ be a nontrivial triplane, and G be a subgroup of the full automorphism group of ${\mathcal{D}}$ . In this paper we prove that if ${\mathcal{D}}$ is a triplane, ${G\leq Aut(\mathcal{D})}$ is flag-transitive, point-primitive and Soc(G) is an alternating group, then ${\mathcal{D}}$ is the projective space PG 2(3, 2), and ${G\cong A_7}$ with the point stabiliser ${G_x\cong PSL_3(2)}$ .  相似文献

We classify the normal subgroups of the Coxeter group $\varGamma =[5,3,5]$ , and of its even subgroup $\varGamma ^+$ , with quotient isomorphic to a finite simple group $L_2(q)$ . There are infinitely many such normal subgroups of $\varGamma ^+$ , each uniformising a compact orientable hyperbolic $3$ -manifold tessellated by dodecahedra; we determine the isometry groups of these manifolds and the symmetry groups of their tessellations. By contrast there is a single such normal subgroup of $\varGamma $ , uniformising a compact non-orientable $3$ -orbifold with isometry group $PGL_2(19)$ .  相似文献

We consider the randomly weighted sums $ \sum\nolimits_{k = 1}^n {{\theta_k}{X_k},n \geqslant 1} $ , where $ \left\{ {{X_k},1 \leqslant k \leqslant n} \right\} $ are n real-valued random variables with subexponential distributions, and $ \left\{ {{\theta_k},1 \leqslant k \leqslant n} \right\} $ are other n random variables independent of $ \left\{ {{X_k},1 \leqslant k \leqslant n} \right\} $ and satisfying $ a \leqslant \theta \leqslant b $ for some $ 0 < a \leqslant b < \infty $ and all $ 1 \leqslant k \leqslant n $ . For $ \left\{ {{X_k},1 \leqslant k \leqslant n} \right\} $ satisfying some dependent structures, we prove that $$ {\text{P}}\left( {\mathop {{\max }}\limits_{1 \leqslant m \leqslant n} \sum\limits_{k = 1}^m {{\theta_k}{X_k} > x} } \right)\sim {\text{P}}\left( {\sum\limits_{k = 1}^m {{\theta_k}{X_k} > x} } \right)\sim {\text{P}}\left( {\mathop {{\max }}\limits_{1 \leqslant k \leqslant n} {\theta_k}{X_k} > x} \right)\sim \sum\limits_{k = 1}^m {{\text{P}}\left( {{\theta_k}{X_k} > x} \right)} $$ as x??????.  相似文献

Let G be a graph, and let f be an integer function on V with ${1\leq f(v)\leq d(v)}$ to each vertex ${\upsilon \in V}$ . An f-edge cover coloring is a coloring of edges of E(G) such that each color appears at each vertex ${\upsilon \in V(G)}$ at least f(υ) times. The maximum number of colors needed to f-edge cover color G is called the f-edge cover chromatic index of G and denoted by ${\chi^{'}_{fc}(G)}$ . It is well known that any simple graph G has the f-edge cover chromatic index equal to δ f (G) or δ f (G) ? 1, where ${\delta_{f}(G)=\,min\{\lfloor \frac{d(v)}{f(v)} \rfloor: v\in V(G)\}}$ . The fractional f-edge cover chromatic index of a graph G, denoted by ${\chi^{'}_{fcf}(G)}$ , is the fractional f-matching number of the edge f-edge cover hypergraph ${\mathcal{H}}$ of G whose vertices are the edges of G and whose hyperedges are the f-edge covers of G. In this paper, we give an exact formula of ${\chi^{'}_{fcf}(G)}$ for any graph G, that is, ${\chi^{'}_{fcf}(G)=\,min \{\min\limits_{v\in V(G)}d_{f}(v), \lambda_{f}(G)\}}$ , where ${\lambda_{f}(G)=\min\limits_{S} \frac{|C[S]|}{\lceil (\sum\limits_{v\in S}{f(v)})/2 \rceil}}$ and the minimum is taken over all nonempty subsets S of V(G) and C[S] is the set of edges that have at least one end in S.  相似文献

Let G =  (V, E) be a finite loopless graph and let (A, +) be an abelian group with identity 0. Then an A-magic labeling of G is a function ${\phi}$ from E into A ? {0} such that for some ${a \in A, \sum_{e \in E(v)} \phi(e) = a}$ for every ${v \in V}$ , where E(v) is the set of edges incident to v. If ${\phi}$ exists such that a =  0, then G is zero-sum A-magic. Let zim(G) denote the subset of ${\mathbb{N}}$ (the positive integers) such that ${1 \in zim(G)}$ if and only if G is zero-sum ${\mathbb{Z}}$ -magic and ${k \geq 2 \in zim(G)}$ if and only if G is zero-sum ${\mathbb{Z}_k}$ -magic. We establish that if G is 3-regular, then ${zim(G) = \mathbb{N} - \{2\}}$ or ${\mathbb{N} - \{2,4\}.}$   相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{F}_\lambda}$ be a generalized flag variety of a simple Lie group G embedded into the projectivization of an irreducible G-module V λ . We define a flat degeneration ${\mathcal{F}_\lambda^a}$ , which is a ${\mathbb{G}^M_a}$ variety. Moreover, there exists a larger group G a acting on ${\mathcal{F}_\lambda^a}$ , which is a degeneration of the group G. The group G a contains ${\mathbb{G}^M_a}$ as a normal subgroup. If G is of type A, then the degenerate flag varieties can be embedde‘d into the product of Grassmannians and thus to the product of projective spaces. The defining ideal of ${\mathcal{F}_\lambda}$ is generated by the set of degenerate Plücker relations. We prove that the coordinate ring of ${\mathcal{F}_\lambda^a}$ is isomorphic to a direct sum of dual PBW-graded ${\mathfrak{g}}$ -modules. We also prove that there exists bases in multi-homogeneous components of the coordinate rings, parametrized by the semistandard PBW-tableux, which are analogs of semistandard tableaux.  相似文献

Let $\Bbbk$ be a field of characteristic zero and G be a finite group of automorphisms of projective plane over $\Bbbk$ . Castelnuovo’s criterion implies that the quotient of projective plane by G is rational if the field $\Bbbk$ is algebraically closed. In this paper we prove that ${{\mathbb{P}_\Bbbk ^2 } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\mathbb{P}_\Bbbk ^2 } G}} \right. \kern-0em} G}$ is rational for an arbitrary field $\Bbbk$ of characteristic zero.  相似文献

A subgroup \(H\) of an Abelian group \(G\) is called fully inert if \((\phi H + H)/H\) is finite for every \(\phi \in \mathrm{End}(G)\) . Fully inert subgroups of free Abelian groups are characterized. It is proved that \(H\) is fully inert in the free group \(G\) if and only if it is commensurable with \(n G\) for some \(n \ge 0\) , that is, \((H + nG)/H\) and \((H + nG)/nG\) are both finite. From this fact we derive a more structural characterization of fully inert subgroups \(H\) of free groups \(G\) , in terms of the Ulm–Kaplansky invariants of \(G/H\) and the Hill–Megibben invariants of the exact sequence \(0 \rightarrow H \rightarrow G \rightarrow G/H \rightarrow 0\) .  相似文献

For a finite group G, let m(G) denote the set of maximal subgroups of G and π(G) denote the set of primes which divide |G|. When G is a cyclic group, an elementary calculation proves that |m(G)| = |π(G)|. In this paper, we prove lower bounds on |m(G)| when G is not cyclic. In general, ${|m(G)| \geq |\pi(G)|+p}$ | m ( G ) | ≥ | π ( G ) | + p , where ${p \in \pi(G)}$ p ∈ π ( G ) is the smallest prime that divides |G|. If G has a noncyclic Sylow subgroup and ${q \in \pi(G)}$ q ∈ π ( G ) is the smallest prime such that ${Q \in {\rm syl}_q(G)}$ Q ∈ syl q ( G ) is noncyclic, then ${|m(G)| \geq |\pi(G)|+q}$ | m ( G ) | ≥ | π ( G ) | + q . Both lower bounds are best possible.  相似文献

Consider the real Clifford algebra ${\mathbb{R}_{0,n}}$ generated by e 1, e 2, . . . , e n satisfying ${e_{i}e_{j} + e_{j}e_{i} = -2\delta_{ij} , i, j = 1, 2, . . . , n, e_{0}}$ is the unit element. Let ${\Omega}$ be an open set in ${\mathbb{R}^{n+1}}$ . u(x) is called an h-regular function in ${\Omega}$ if $$D_{x}u(x) + \widehat{u}(x)h = 0, \quad\quad (0.1)$$ where ${D_x = \sum\limits_{i=0}^{n} e_{i}\partial_{xi}}$ is the Dirac operator in ${\mathbb{R}^{n+1}}$ , and ${\widehat{u}(x) = \sum \limits_{A} (-1)^{\#A}u_{A}(x)e_{A}, \#A}$ denotes the cardinality of A and ${h = \sum\limits_{k=0}^{n} h_{k}e_{k}}$ is a constant paravector. In this paper, we mainly consider the Hilbert boundary value problem (BVP) for h-regular functions in ${\mathbb{R}_{+}^{n+1}}$ .  相似文献
