Wrinkling can affect the functionality of thin membranes subjected to various loadings or boundary conditions. The concept of relaxed strain energy was studied for isotropic, hyperelastic, axisymmetric membranes pressurized by gas or fluid. Non-intuitive instabilities were observed when axisymmetric wrinkled membranes were perturbed with angle dependent displacement fields. A linearized theory showed that static equilibrium states of pressurized membranes, modelled by a relaxed strain energy formulation, are unstable, when the wrinkled surface is subjected to pressure loadings. The theory is extended to the non-axisymmetric membranes and it is shown that these instabilities are local phenomena. Simulations for the pressurized cylindrical membranes with non-uniform thickness and hemispherical membranes support the claims in both theoretical and numerical contexts including finite element simulations.  相似文献

为解决井斜控制实践中存在的不等截面尺寸梁柱问题, 讨论了典型的变刚度纵横弯曲梁力学 模型. 根据变刚度梁柱变形的挠曲线微分方程和边界条件及连续条件, 得到了梁柱变形和端 部转角的解析计算式, 进而应用梁柱理论叠加原理可解决有集中力作用下的井下控制工具和 带变径稳定器的底部钻具组合(BHA)受力分析问题. 变刚度梁柱理论在BHA力学分析中得到了 成功应用, 为井下控制工具设计、钻具组合优化及井斜控制提供了理论依据.  相似文献

基于修正偶应力和高阶剪切理论建立了仅含有一个尺度参数的Reddy变截面微梁的自由振动模型,研究了变截面微梁自由振动问题的尺度效应和横向剪切变形对自振频率计算的影响。基于哈密顿原理推导了动力学方程与边界条件,并采用微分求积法求解了各种边界条件下的自振频率。算例结果表明,基于偶应力理论预测的变截面微梁的自振频率均大于经典梁理论的预测结果,即捕捉到了尺度效应。另外,梁的几何尺寸与尺度参数越接近,尺度效应就越明显,而梁的长细比越小,横向剪切变形对自振频率的影响就越明显。  相似文献

基于Euler-Bernoulli 梁理论, 研究了功能梯度材料梁的弯曲、屈曲和自由振动. 通过分析和比较功能梯度材料梁 和均匀梁的控制方程, 得到了功能梯度材料梁与均匀梁的解之间的相似转换关系. 在给定功 能梯度材料梁的材料性质在横向按幂函数分布的情况下, 导出了解之间的相似转换系数的解 析表达式. 该系数集中反映了功能梯度梁的材料非均匀性. 因此, 可将功能梯度材料梁的静 动态问题的求解转换为同样载荷和边界条件下均匀梁的静动态问题求解以及相似转换系数的 计算.  相似文献

The asymptotic development method is applied to analyze the free vibration of non-uniform axially functionally graded(AFG) beams, of which the governing equations are differential equations with variable coefficients. By decomposing the variable flexural stiffness and mass per unit length into reference invariant and variant parts, the perturbation theory is introduced to obtain an approximate analytical formula of the natural frequencies of the non-uniform AFG beams with different boundary conditions.Furthermore, assuming polynomial distributions of Young's modulus and the mass density, the numerical results of the AFG beams with various taper ratios are obtained and compared with the published literature results. The discussion results illustrate that the proposed method yields an effective estimate of the first three order natural frequencies for the AFG tapered beams. However, the errors increase with the increase in the mode orders especially for the cases with variable heights. In brief, the asymptotic development method is verified to be simple and efficient to analytically study the free vibration of non-uniform AFG beams, and it could be used to analyze any tapered beams with an arbitrary varying cross width.  相似文献

In this paper, vibration analysis of functionally graded porous beams is carried out using the third-order shear deformation theory. The beams have uniform and non-uniform porosity distributions across their thickness and both ends are supported by rotational and translational springs. The material properties of the beams such as elastic moduli and mass density can be related to the porosity and mass coefficient utilizing the typical mechanical features of open-cell metal foams. The Chebyshev collocation method is applied to solve the governing equations derived from Hamilton’s principle, which is used in order to obtain the accurate natural frequencies for the vibration problem of beams with various general and elastic boundary conditions. Based on the numerical experiments, it is revealed that the natural frequencies of the beams with asymmetric and non-uniform porosity distributions are higher than those of other beams with uniform and symmetric porosity distributions.  相似文献

基于能量变分原理,拟定轴向荷载作用下箱梁的纵向位移函数,得到关于翼板剪切变形引起的位移差函数的基本微分方程,继而推导出箱梁翼板纵向应力表达式,并首次得出角隅轴向荷载作用下翼板出现应力不均匀分布的荷载及边界条件。通过对一模型箱梁进行计算,并与通用有限元软件ANSYS壳单元计算结果进行比较,验证了该方法和所推导公式的正确性。研究结果表明,当作用于简支箱梁截面角隅处的轴向荷载(合力无偏心)为集中或分布荷载时,翼板不产生纵向应力不均匀现象;当作用于悬臂箱梁截面角隅处的轴向荷载(合力无偏心)为集中荷载时,翼板不产生纵向应力不均匀现象,而当荷载轴向分布时,翼板将产生纵向应力不均匀现象。实际工程中,横力弯曲使悬臂箱梁产生剪力滞效应,这种效应会与轴向分布荷载产生的效应叠加,设计时对此应予以充分考虑。  相似文献

Modal analysis of non-uniform bolted structures are of significance in modeling many complex mechanical structures. There are vast literatures available related with the analytical as well as numerical modeling of bolted joint. However, most of the analytical model discuss about the modeling of first mode of uniform structures with single bolted joint. In this paper, we present the modeling of single as well as bolted non-uniform beams using approximate mode shapes. To develop the model, we first carry out experiments to measures the modal frequencies and shapes of the test structures. Subsequently, we also do numerical modeling of non-uniform beams in ANSYS to verify the validity of the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory in developing the analytical models. Finally, using the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory, we obtain the analytical values of frequencies using the approximate the mode shapes. The analytical results are found to be closer to the experimental results with a maximum percentage error of about 15 %. The model presented in the paper can be extended to the mechanical structures with many non-uniform sections with or without bolted joints.  相似文献

Hole-drilling method is one of the most convenient methods for engineering residual stress measurement. Combined with moiré interferometry to obtain the relaxed whole-field displacement data, hole-drilling technique can be used to solve non-uniform residual stress problems, both in-depth and in-plane. In this paper, the theory of moiré interferometry and incremental hole-drilling (MIIHD) for non-uniform residual stress measurement is introduced. Three dimensional finite element model is constructed by ABAQUS to obtain the coefficients for the residual stress calculation. An experimental system including real-time measurement, automatic data processing and residual stresses calculation is established. Two applications for non-uniform in-depth residual stress of surface nanocrystalline material and non-uniform in-plane residual stress of friction stir welding are presented. Experimental results show that MIIHD is effective for both non-uniform in-depth and in-plane residual stress measurements. The project supported by the FRAMATOME ANP  相似文献

A method to study dynamical instability and non-linear parametric vibrations of symmetrically laminated plates of complex shapes and having different cutouts is proposed. The first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) and the classical plate theory (CPT) are used to formulate a mathematical statement of the given problem. The presence of cutouts essentially complicates the solution of buckling problem, since the stress field is non-uniform. At first, a plane stress analysis is carried out using the variational Ritz method and the R-functions theory. The obtained results are applied to investigate buckling and parametric vibrations of laminated plates. The developed method uses the R-functions theory, and it may be directly employed to study laminated plates of arbitrary forms and different boundary conditions. Besides, the proposed method is numerical-analytical, what greatly facilitates a solution of similar-like non-linear problems. In order to show the advantage of the developed approach, instability zones and response curves for the layered cross- and angle-ply plates with external cutouts are constructed and discussed.  相似文献

In this study, multi-mode parametric excitation of a simply supported plate under time-varying and non-uniform edge loading is modeled and the solution is found. Equations for multi-mode parametric excitation of a simply supported plate are derived using stress distributions within the plate as well as on the edges, considering both the effects of non-uniform edge loading and the non-linearity caused by the large deflection. The multi-mode equations are coupled by first-order linear terms, even in the case of simply supported boundary conditions, due to the non-uniform edge loading. The perturbation solutions of two-mode parametric excitation are examined by the method of multiple scales. For the edge loading, which consists of a uniform term as well as a non-uniform one, equations could be coupled or de-coupled by parametric excitation terms, and the numbers and values of the resonance frequencies of the parametric excitations could also differ, depending on whether the non-uniform term of the edge loading is time-varying or not. In addition to the resonant frequencies of the case when only the uniform term of the edge loading is time-varying, there are additional combination resonances at the vicinity of the sum of two natural frequencies of each mode when the non-uniform term of the non-uniform edge loading is time-varying.  相似文献

本文利用推广后的Mian 和Spencer 功能梯度板理论,研究了功能梯度板条在非均布温度场作用下的热弹性问题.采用该理论中的位移展开公式,在板厚度方向上考虑热传导引起的稳态温度场,材料常数沿板厚方向可以任意连续变化,从而得到了基于弹性理论的功能梯度板条在温度场作用下的解析解.通过数值算例分析,验证了本文理论的正确性并讨论了边界条件和梯度变化程度对功能梯度板条热弹性响应的影响.  相似文献

介绍了一种求解中短半径($K=1^\circ$/m$ \sim 3^\circ$/m)弯螺杆 钻具的纵横弯曲法, 以指导弯螺杆钻具的设计和使用. 采用变刚度梁柱理论, 并应用等效载荷法对具有初始结构弯角的梁柱进行等效处理, 根据钻具组合支座连续条件及 边界条件建立了中短半径水平井造斜螺杆钻具组合的力学模型, 进而求得钻头侧向力, 依此 预测弯螺杆钻具的造斜能力. 这种分析方法得到了成功应用.  相似文献

Non-uniform edge loading can cause unwanted wrinkling of a web. Here, Airy stress functions are obtained by a modified Fourier series method for webs under non-uniform and different edge loading on each side. The stress distributions of a web under non-uniform edge loading only on one side are subjected to the effect of Saint-Venant’s principle. For the web of small aspect ratio under non-uniform edge loading, the stress distribution converges to a uniform distribution or a linear distribution with both the resultant force and the resultant moment being equal to those of the applied loading. Conditions of wrinkling and the corresponding wrinkling modes of a web are found when the edge loadings are different on each side. The non-uniformities and shapes of the applied edge loadings result in different wrinkling conditions. Moreover, the non-uniformities together with the shapes of the applied edge loadings on each side affect the wrinkling conditions.  相似文献

A synthetic review of works concerning detonation of non-uniform explosive mixtures allows to retain a criterion of detonation onset. This criterion is due to Zel'dovich and then Makhviladze. The present study proposes to adapt Makhviladze's criterion to define the formation point of a quasi-stationary detonation in spatially non-uniform, non-stationary and non-preheated gaseous mixtures. The temperature increase of gaseous mixture is due to the travelling shock. This point is compared to the critical radius defining the distance for which the Chapman-Jouguet conditions are attained. The detonability of a non-uniform medium (propane/oxygen mixtures) is characterized by a small scale experimental investigation and by application of a simple advection-diffusion model. Elastic analysis of a functionally graded thick-walled cylindrical pressure vessel is analytically studied in the present research. Gradation is considered for all mechanical properties along the thickness direction based on a power function. The constitutive relations are developed in the general cylindrical coordinate system for an axisymmetric pressurized cylinder. For simulation of these two deformation components, first order shear deformation theory is considered. The FG cylinder is subjected to longitudinally non-uniform pressure along the length of the cylinder. The present problem is applicable for simulation of non-uniform pressurized cylinder by fluids or gases.  相似文献

An analytic study for thermoelastic bending of a functionally graded material (FGM) cylindrical shell subjected to a uniform transverse mechanical load and non-uniform thermal loads is presented. Based on the classical linear shell theory, the equations with the radial deflection and horizontal displacement are derived out. An arbitrary material property of the FGM cylindrical shell is assumed to vary through the thickness of the cylindrical shell, and exact solution of the problem is obtained by using an analytic method. For the FGM cylindrical shell with fixed and simply supported boundary conditions, the effects of mechanical load, thermal load and the power law exponent on the deformation of the FGM cylindrical shell are analyzed and discussed.  相似文献

The paper presents an approximate kinetic theory model of ablation of carbon by a nanosecond laser pulse. The model approximates the process as sublimation and combines conduction heat transfer in the target with the gas dynamics of the ablated plume which are coupled through the boundary conditions at the interface. The ablated mass flux and the temperature of the ablating material are obtained from the assumption that the ablation rate is restricted by the kinetic theory limitation on the maximum mass flux that can be attained in a phase-change process. To account for non-uniform distribution of the laser intensity while keeping the calculation simple the quasi-one-dimensional approximation is used in both gas and solid phases. The results are compared with the predictions of the exact axisymmetric model that uses the conservation relations at the interface derived from the momentum solution of the Boltzmann equation for arbitrary strong evaporation. It is seen that the simpler approximate model provides good accuracy.  相似文献
