We analyse one-loop radiative corrections to the inflationary potential in the theory, where inflation is driven by the Standard Model Higgs field. We show that inflation is possible provided the Higgs mass mHmH lies in the interval mmin<mH<mmaxmmin<mH<mmax, where mmin=[136.7+(mt−171.2)×1.95] GeVmmin=[136.7+(mt171.2)×1.95] GeV, mmax=[184.5+(mt−171.2)×0.5] GeVmmax=[184.5+(mt171.2)×0.5] GeV and mtmt is the mass of the top quark. In the renormalization scheme associated with the Einstein frame the predictions of the spectral index of scalar fluctuations and of the tensor-to-scalar ratio practically do not depend on the Higgs mass within the admitted region and are equal to ns=0.97ns=0.97 and r=0.0034r=0.0034 correspondingly.  相似文献

The deviation δQWδQW of the weak charge from its standard model prediction due to the mixing of the W boson with the charged bilepton Y as well as of the Z   boson with the neutral ZZ and the real part of the non-Hermitian neutral bilepton X   in the economical 3–3–1 model is established. Additional contributions to the usual δQWδQW expression in the extra U(1)U(1) models and the left–right models are obtained. Our calculations are quite different from previous analyzes in this kind of the 3–3–1 models and give the limit on mass of the ZZ boson, the Z–ZZZ and W–YWY mixing angles with the more appropriate values: MZ>564 GeVMZ>564 GeV, −0.018<sinφ<00.018<sinφ<0 and |sinθ|<0.043|sinθ|<0.043.  相似文献

We employ chaotic (?2?2 and ?4?4) inflation to illustrate the important role radiative corrections can play during the inflationary phase. Yukawa interactions of ?  , in particular, lead to corrections of the form −κ?4ln(?/μ)κ?4ln(?/μ), where κ>0κ>0 and μ   is a renormalization scale. For instance, ?4?4 chaotic inflation with radiative corrections looks compatible with the most recent WMAP (5 year) analysis, in sharp contrast to the tree level case. We obtain the 95% confidence limits 2.4×10−14?κ?5.7×10−142.4×10−14?κ?5.7×10−14, 0.931?ns?0.9580.931?ns?0.958 and 0.038?r?0.2050.038?r?0.205, where nsns and r   respectively denote the scalar spectral index and scalar to tensor ratio. The limits for ?2?2 inflation are κ?7.7×10−15κ?7.7×10−15, 0.929?ns?0.9660.929?ns?0.966 and 0.023?r?0.1350.023?r?0.135. The next round of precision experiments should provide a more stringent test of realistic chaotic ?2?2 and ?4?4 inflation.  相似文献

We consider the possibility that the soft supersymmetry-breaking parameters m1/2m1/2 and m0m0 of the MSSM are universal at some scale MinMin below the supersymmetric grand unification scale MGUTMGUT, as might occur in scenarios where either the primordial supersymmetry-breaking mechanism or its communication to the observable sector involve a dynamical scale below MGUTMGUT. We analyze the (m1/2,m0)(m1/2,m0) planes of such sub-GUT CMSSM models, noting the dependences of phenomenological, experimental and cosmological constraints on MinMin. In particular, we find that the coannihilation, focus-point and rapid-annihilation funnel regions of the GUT-scale CMSSM approach and merge when Min∼1012 GeVMin1012 GeV. We discuss sparticle spectra and the possible sensitivity of LHC measurements to the value of MinMin.  相似文献

We calculate low scale gravity effects on the cross section for neutrino–nucleon scattering at center of mass energies up to the Greisen–Zatsepin–Kuzmin (GZK) scale, in the eikonal approximation. We compare the cases of an infinitely thin brane embedded in n=5n=5 compactified extra-dimensions, and of a brane with a physical tension MS=1 TeVMS=1 TeV and MS=10 TeVMS=10 TeV. The extra dimensional Planck scale MDMD is set at 103 GeV103 GeV and 2×103 GeV2×103 GeV. We also compare our calculations with neutral current standard model calculations in the same energy range, and compare the thin brane eikonal cross section to its saddle point approximation. New physics effects enhance the cross section by orders of magnitude on average. They are quite sensitive to MSMS and MDMD choices, though much less sensitive to n.  相似文献

It is argued that the dominant contribution to the interaction of quark–gluon plasma at moderate T?TcT?Tc is given by the nonperturbative vacuum field correlators. Basing on that nonperturbative equation of state of quark–gluon plasma is computed and in the lowest approximation expressed in terms of absolute values of Polyakov lines for quarks and gluons Lfund(T),Ladj(T)=(Lfund)9/4Lfund(T),Ladj(T)=(Lfund)9/4 known from lattice and analytic calculations. Phase transition at any μ   is described as a transition due to vanishing of one of correlators, DE(x)DE(x), which implies the change of gluonic condensate ΔG2ΔG2. Resulting transition temperature Tc(μ)Tc(μ) is calculated in terms of ΔG2ΔG2 and Lfund(Tc)Lfund(Tc). The phase curve Tc(μ)Tc(μ) is in a good agreement with lattice data. In particular Tc(0)=0.27Tc(0)=0.27; 0.19; 0.17 GeV0.17 GeV for nf=0,2,3nf=0,2,3 and fixed ΔG2=0.0035 GeV4ΔG2=0.0035 GeV4.  相似文献

We reconsider the Polonyi problem in gravity-mediation models for supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking. It has been argued that there is no problem in the dynamical SUSY breaking scenarios, since the Polonyi field acquires a sufficiently large mass of the order of the dynamical SUSY-breaking scale ΛSUSYΛSUSY. However, we find that a linear term of the Polonyi field in the Kähler potential brings us back to the Polonyi problem, unless the inflation scale is sufficiently low, Hinf?108 GeVHinf?108 GeV, or the reheating temperature is extremely low, TR?100 GeVTR?100 GeV. Here, this Polonyi problem is more serious than the original one, since the Polonyi field mainly decays into a pair of gravitinos.  相似文献

Heavy quark effective theory predicts that produced charm quarks have the same probability to fragment into any of the four D mesons with orbital angular momentum L=0L=0: the singlet D state and the triplet DD states. This would imply PV(D,D)=3/4PV(D,D)=3/4, where PVPV is the ratio between directly produced L=0L=0 vector states (DD) and all L=0L=0 (D and DD) states. Experimental data collected in several different collision systems (e+ee+e, hadro-production, photo-production, etc.) and over a broad range of collision energies, show that PV(D,D)=0.594±0.010PV(D,D)=0.594±0.010. From this observation, it follows that “naive spin counting” does not apply to charm production, implying a revision of charm production calculations where this assumption is made.  相似文献

To complement existing knowledge of the density matrix γF(x,y)γF(x,y) of independent fermions for N   particles in one dimension under harmonic confinement, the corresponding matrix γIB(x,y)γIB(x,y) for impenetrable bosons is given for N=2N=2 and 3 (with the N=4N=4 form available also). For fermions the momentum density is then obtained and illustrated numerically for N=10N=10. The boson momentum density is studied analytically at high momentum p  , the coefficients of the p−4p−4 and p−6p−6 terms being tabulated for N=2–5N=25 inclusive. Their dependence on powers of N   is exhibited numerically. Finally, the functional relationship between γIB(x,y)γIB(x,y) and γF(x,y)γF(x,y) is formally set out and illustrated.  相似文献

We report results from an experiment on the decay of the high-K isomers in 254No. We have been able to establish the decay from the known high-lying four-quasiparticle isomer, which we assign as a Kπ=16+Kπ=16+ state at an excitation energy of Ex=2.928(3) MeVEx=2.928(3) MeV. The decay of this state passes through a rotational band based on a previously unobserved state at Ex=2.012(2) MeVEx=2.012(2) MeV, which we suggest is based on a two-quasineutron configuration with Kπ=10+Kπ=10+. This state in turn decays to a rotational band based on the known Kπ=8Kπ=8 isomer, which we infer must also have a two quasineutron configuration. We are able to assign many new gamma-rays associated with the decay of the Kπ=8Kπ=8 isomer, including the identification of a highly K-forbidden ΔK=8ΔK=8 E1 transition to the ground-state band. These results provide valuable new information on the orbitals close to the Fermi surface, pairing correlations, deformation and rotational response, and K-conservation in nuclei of the deformed trans-fermium region.  相似文献

We have used a stringy model of quantum space–time foam to suggest that the vacuum may exhibit a non-trivial refractive index depending linearly on γ  -ray energy: η−1∼Eγ/MQG1η1Eγ/MQG1, where MQGMQG is some mass scale typical of quantum gravity that may be ∼1018 GeV1018 GeV: see [J. Ellis, N.E. Mavromatos, D.V. Nanopoulos, Phys. Lett. B 665 (2008) 412] and references therein. The MAGIC, HESS and Fermi γ-ray telescopes have recently probed the possible existence of such an energy-dependent vacuum refractive index. All find indications of time-lags for higher-energy photons, but cannot exclude the possibility that they are due to intrinsic delays at the sources. However, the MAGIC and HESS observations of time-lags in emissions from AGNs Mkn 501 and PKS 2155-304 are compatible with each other and a refractive index depending linearly on the γ  -ray energy, with MQG11018 GeVMQG11018 GeV. We combine their results to estimate the time-lag Δt   to be expected for the highest-energy photon from GRB 080916c measured by the Fermi telescope, which has an energy ∼13.2 GeV13.2 GeV, assuming the redshift z=4.35±0.15z=4.35±0.15 measured by GROND. In the case of a refractive index depending linearly on the γ  -ray energy we predict Δt=26±11 sΔt=26±11 s. This is compatible with the time-lag Δt?16.5 sΔt?16.5 s reported by the Fermi Collaboration, whereas the time-lag would be negligible in the case of a refractive index depending quadratically on the γ-ray energy. We suggest a strategy for future observations that could distinguish between a quantum-gravitational effect and other interpretations of the time-lags observed by the MAGIC, HESS and Fermi γ-ray telescopes.  相似文献

We study rigid string solutions rotating in AdS5×S5AdS5×S5 background. For particular values of the parameters of the solutions we find multispin solutions corresponding to giant magnons and single spike strings. We present an analysis of the dispersion relations in the case of three spin solutions distributed only in S5S5 and the case of one spin in AdS5AdS5 and two spins in S5S5. The possible relation of these string solutions to gauge theory operators and spin chains are briefly discussed.  相似文献

The microscopic transport model UrQMD and a micro + macro hybrid model are used to calculate direct photon spectra from U+UU+U-collisions at Elab=35 A GeVElab=35 A GeV as will be measured by the CBM Collaboration at FAIR. In the hybrid model, the intermediate high-density part of the nuclear interaction is described with ideal 3+13+1-dimensional hydrodynamics. Different equations of state of the matter created in the heavy-ion collisions are investigated and the resulting spectra of direct photons are predicted. The emission patterns of direct photons in space and time are discussed.  相似文献

We calculate the strange star properties in the framework of the Field Correlator Method. We find that for gluon condensate values G2G2 in the range 0.006–0.007 GeV40.0060.007 GeV4, which give a critical temperature Tc∼170 MeVTc170 MeV at μc=0μc=0, the sequences of strange stars are compatible with some of the semi-empirical mass–radius relations and data obtained from astrophysical observations.  相似文献
