Low-lying and high-spin states of ^124 Cs are studied through the ^116 Sn(^11 B,3n)^124 Cs reaction at a beam energy of 45 MeV. Several new linking transitions are observed, including three transitions between the yrast and πh11/2 vd3/2 bands and two transitions between the yrast and πh11/2 v(d5/2, g7/2) bands. These transitions fix the excitation energy of the yrast band and its decay path, and confirm the existence of eight E1 finking transitions between the yrast and πh11/2 v(d5/2, 97/2) bands observed before. These E1 linking transitions infer the oetupole correlation in ^124Cs. The decay paths of the yrast band are investigated, and discrepancies in the level scheme of ^124Cs in the latest two studies are clarified. The reason for the discrepancies is discussed. A new decoupled band is established and temporarily assigned as the unfavored signature partner of πh11/2 vd3/2 configuration.  相似文献

We present the recent experimental results on the 6He structure studied by the 6Li(t, 3He)6He reaction at 336 MeV. Above the conspicuous peaks for ground and first excited states for 6He, we have observed a broad structures at E x∼ 5 MeV, and E x∼ 15 MeV. The angular distribution of this structure exhibits the dominance of a ΔL = 1 transition, indicating the existence of intruder dipole states at low excitation energies in 6He. A slight admixture of positive-parity states in this structure has been indicated as well. Received: 1 May 2001 / Accepted: 4 December 2001  相似文献

The decay energy spectrum for neutron unbound states in 24O (Z=8Z=8, N=16N=16) has been observed for the first time. The resonance energy of the lowest lying state, interpreted as the 2+2+ level, has been observed at a decay energy above 600 keV. The resulting excitation energy of the 2+2+ level above 4.7 MeV, supplies strong evidence that 24O is a doubly magic nucleus. The data is also consistent with the presence of a second excited state around 5.33 MeV which can be interpreted as the 1+1+ level.  相似文献

4He (i.e., α particle) and 6He emissions from possible molecular states in beryllium and carbon isotopes have been investigated using a mean-field-type cluster potential. Calculations can reasonably describe the α-decay widths of studied states in beryllium and carbon isotopes, and also 20Ne, compared with experiments. For the nucleus 10Be, we discussed α-decay widths with different shapes or different decay modes, in order to understand the very different decay widths of two excited states. The widths of 6He decays from 12Be and α decays from 13,14C are predicted, which could be useful for future experiments.  相似文献

We have found a small inclination of the symmetry axis of the prompt fission gamma-quanta angular distribution relative to the “fission axis” in binary fission of 235U induced by cold polarized neutrons using the neutron beam line V13 at Berlin Neutron Scattering Center (BENSC). The sign of the shift depends on the direction of the cold neutron beam polarization and it can only be explained by the quasi-classical rotation of the fissile nucleus at the scission point.  相似文献

By taking the particle triaxial-rotor model with variable moment of inertia, we investigate the energy spectra, the deformation and the single particle configuration of the negative-parity states in nuclei^(191,193,194,197) Au systemically. The calculated energy spectra agree well with experimental data. The obtained results indicate that the negative-parity states in^(191,193,195,197)Au originate from the proton-hole h11/2 configuration coupled to a triaxial oblate Hg core. Meanwhile the main single particle configuration of the bands 1, 2 and 3 are identified to be [5h11/2 1/2) (α=-1/2), [5h11/2 1/2) (α = 1/2) and 15h9/2 7/2), respectively.  相似文献

The β-delayed neutron and γ energy spectra taken from the decay of neutron-rich nucleus 21N were measured by using the β-γ and β-n coincidence detection method. Thirteen new neutron groups ranging from 0.28MeV to 4.98MeV and with a total branching ratio of 88.7±4.2% were observed andpresented. One γ transition with an energy of 1222keV emitted from the excited state of 21O, and four γ transitions with energies of 1674, 2397, 2780, and 3175keV emitted from the excited states of 20O were identified in the β decay chain of 21N. The β decay half-life for 21N is determined to be 82.9±1.9ms. The uncertainty of half-life is much smaller than the previous result.  相似文献

We report on direct experimental evidence of the population of the 3/23/2 intruder state in 27Ne in the knockout of a single neutron from the ground state of 28Ne. This low-lying negative parity state is consistent with a narrower shell gap for exotic nuclei with Z?NZ?N and N≈20N20. Monte Carlo shell-model calculations with the modern SDPF-M interaction successfully describe neutron-rich nuclei in the vicinity of N=20N=20 where normal and intruder configurations coexist at low excitation energy. This observation demonstrates the importance of direct reactions for the study of exotic nuclei and the predictive power of these large-scale shell-model calculations.  相似文献

Using nonadiabatic quasiparticle calculations we reproduce the experimental half-life for proton radioactivity in 121Pr assuming that the decaying state has angular momentum Jπ=7/2Jπ=7/2, thus showing for the first time clear evidence for partial rotation alignment in a proton emitting nucleus. The treatment of the pairing interaction in the BCS approach produces profound changes in the ordering of energy levels, and at high deformation, the state 7/27/2 coming from the h11/2h11/2 spherical shell becomes the bandhead.  相似文献

Angular distributions of the Coulomb breakup of radioactive 17F were measured by impinging a 10 MeV/nucleon beam on 208Pb and on 58Ni to study the dynamic polarization effects. The breakup products, oxygen and a proton, were detected in coincidence. First-order perturbation theory significantly overpredicts the breakup cross section for the 208Pb target. Dynamical calculations with a dynamic polarization as the leading order correction were performed. The calculations reproduce the data for 17F on 58Ni but overpredict the breakup of 17F on 208Pb by a factor of two at forward angles.  相似文献

We have undertaken the study of 6Li breakup on a 28Si target near the Coulomb barrier through an angular distribution measurement. Alpha particles were recorded in coincidence with deuterons in order to determine exclusively the breakup of lithium. The results are analysed and are discussed, in a continuum discretized coupled channel framework (CDCC).  相似文献

We investigate β decays of the neutron-rich nucleus ^18 N and the structure of the daughter nucleus ^18 O using the shell model. The reduced transition strengths B(GT) and branching ratios of the/3 decays in ^18 N are calculated in the psd and spsdpf shell spaces with the WBT interaction. The calculations in the two different spaces are compared. The psd calculations obtain a better agreement with the observation of the β-delayed neutron emission, which seems to show that the observed properties of ^18 N and ^18 O are mainly produced by one particle being excited from the p-shell to the sd-shell.  相似文献
