本文成功搭建了一套集成了能谱分析功能的时间分辨光电子显微镜系统(TR-PEEM),能够对电子密度分布进行时间分辨和能量分辨的成像.这套4D显微镜在空间、时间、能量多维度获取电子动力学信息提供了前所未有的手段.本文使用184 fs的时间分辨、150 meV的能量分辨和优于150 nm的空间分辨对半导体进行了测量,在Si(111)表面的Pb岛上获得了微区光电子能谱和能量分辨的TR-PEEM图像.实验结果表明,这套系统是进行异质结载流子动力学观察的有力工具,有助于在亚微米/纳米空间尺度和超快时间尺度上加深对半导体性质的理解.  相似文献

We numerically analyze filamentary propagation for various media and input pulse parameters and show that temporal self-compression can greatly benefit from refocusing events. Analyzing the dynamical behavior in the second focal spot, it turns out that a dispersive temporal break-up may appear due to the emission of a hyperbolic shock wave from the self-steepened trailing edge of the pulse. This break-up event in the refocus enhances the self-compression capabilities of laser filaments, enabling up to 12-fold temporal compression. Only slightly perturbing the input pulse parameters, we further identify a regime in which refocusing events give rise to extended subdiffractive propagation in a weakly ionized channel.  相似文献

Summary An extraordinary increase in cosmic-ray intensity has been recorded on September 29, 1989 by the Rome detectors (rigidity threshold ∼6.2 GV). We show the time evolution of the event as recorded at Rome in the nucleonic component and in the total ionizing and muon components; as well as at Campo Imperatore (2300 m a.s.l. near Rome) in the nucleonic component by a special monitor designed for the detection of solar-neutron events. The one-minute time resolution of the Campo Imperatore data offers the possibility to follow in detail the development of the event for most of the time. The possible contribution of solar neutrons to the early phase of the Campo Imperatore event has been not clarified so far, further results may be obtained by the analysis of the multiplicity data registered in the event.  相似文献

全光固体条纹相机采用空间调制抽运光激发平板波导光偏转器,通过精确控制抽运光和信号光之间的时间延迟,实现对入射到波导芯层信号光的偏转扫描.它能有效解决传统变像管条纹相机因空间电荷效应造成的动态范围降低以及光电阴极材料在红外波段探测受限等问题,且结构简单,系统稳定性高,理论时间分辨率可达皮秒甚至亚皮秒量级.本文围绕全光固体条纹相机的核心部件—–AlxGa1-xAs/GaAs/AlxGa1-xAs平板波导光偏转器,研究了在带填充效应、带隙收缩效应以及自由载流子吸收效应作用下GaAs折射率的变化情况;在GaAs折射率变化达到0.01量级,信号光束斑大小和波导宽度之比p=0.5时,得到系统的理论时间分辨率为2 ps;按照静态实验条件求得的理论空间分辨率为17 lp/mm,实验结果显示其值为9 lp/mm.  相似文献

Measuring eye movements (EMs) using the search-coil eye-tracking technique is superior to video-based infrared methods [Collewijn H, van der Mark F, Jansen TC. Precise recording of human eye movements. Vision Res 1975;15(3):447-50], which suffer from the instability of pupil size, blinking behavior and lower temporal resolution. However, no conventional functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI)-compatible search-coil eye tracker exists. The main problems for such a technique are the interaction between the transmitter coils and the magnetic gradients used for imaging as well as the limited amount of space in a scanner. Here we present an approach to overcome these problems and we demonstrate a method to record EMs in an MRI scanner using a search coil. The system described has a spatial resolution of 0.07 degrees (visual angle) and a high temporal resolution (22 kHz). The transmitter coils are integrated into the visual presentation system and the control/analysis unit is portable, which enables us to integrate the eye tracker with an MRI scanner. Our tests demonstrate low noise in the recorded eye traces and scanning with minimal artifact. Furthermore, the induced current in the search coil caused by the RF pulses does not lead to measurable heating. Altogether, this MR-compatible search-coil eye tracker can be used to precisely monitor EMs with high spatial and temporal resolution during fMRI. It can therefore be of great importance for studies requiring accurate fixation of a target, or measurement and study of the subject's oculomotor system.  相似文献

We investigate the interrelation between cosmic rays (CRs) and the electric field of the Earth during thunderstorms established by various investigators. The data from simultaneous measurements by spectrograph of CRs and the electric field in Yakutsk are used. It is noted that in seven recorded events of prolonged (up to 9 hours) variations in the electric field by ±5 kV m−1 and in one event of a one-hour increase in the field value up to +20 kV m−1 the CR index rose substantially. During the thunderstorm of the latter event, the intensity of neutrons fell by a considerable 1%. At the same time, a drop of ∼0.3% was observed in the CR muon component. Such effects was not observed for higher energy muons.  相似文献

We analytically demonstrate and numerically simulate two utmost cases of dragon-kings’ impact on the (unnormalized) velocity autocorrelation function (VACF) of a complex time series generated by stochastic random walker. The first type of dragon-kings corresponds to a sustained drift whose duration time is much longer than that of any other event. The second type of dragon-kings takes the form of an abrupt shock whose amplitude velocity is much larger than those corresponding to any other event. The stochastic process in which the dragon-kings occur corresponds to an enhanced diffusion generated within the hierarchical Weierstrass-Mandelbrot Continuous-time Random Walk (WM-CTRW) formalism. Our analytical formulae enable a detailed study of the impact of the two super-extreme events on the VACF calculated for a given random walk realization on the form of upward deviations from the background power law decay present in the absence of dragon-kings. This allows us to provide a unambiguous distinction between the super-extreme dragon-kings and ‘normal’ extreme “black swans”. The results illustrate diagnostic that could be useful for the analysis of extreme and super-extreme events in real empirical time series.  相似文献

In this paper the time resolved spectrum of a Rhodamin-B-dye-laser is investigated. Besides the already wellknown features a second line has been observed in the case of higher pumping power lasting several us. The emission of the second laser line begins when the first line decays and lasts about as long as the pumping puls. The wavelength is about 100 Å shorter than that of the first line. 设计了一种具有高空间分辨率、高时间分辨率和大工作面积的同步扫描条纹管.建立三维模型,系统地分析了物理时间分辨率与加速电压、空间分辨率与偏转系统-光电阴极的距离、动态空间分辨率和时间分辨率与扫描速度的关系.给出最优化结构参数和电气参数:dDC=100 mm,Ug=700 V,Tscreen=0.5 ns.数值模拟结果表明,在光电阴极有效工作面积18 mm×2 mm范围内,静态和动态空间分辨率分别高于25 lp/mm@MTF=10%和16 lp/mm@MTF=10%.在Tscreen=0.5 ns时,同步条纹管的时间分辨率优于5.6 ps.此外,实验测试得到在400 nm波长处,光电阴极的辐射灵敏度为51 mA/W,光电阴极有效面积内的静态空间分辨率高于25 lp/mm@CTF=13%.  相似文献

针对无人机载及星载激光成像雷达系统对条纹管的小型化、高空间分辨率与大探测面积的应用需求,研制了一台具有高边缘空间分辨能力、高亮度增益的小型条纹相机.采用球面光电阴极、球面荧光屏技术提高了条纹相机的边缘空间分辨率和探测面积,有利于增大激光成像雷达的探测视场;采用狭缝型加速电极代替传统栅网电极,有利于提高条纹相机的电耐性和可靠性;设计了加载高达-15 kV工作电压的像缩小型条纹管,增大了条纹管的亮度增益,有助于增大激光雷达系统的探测距离.测试结果显示:在有效工作面积16 mm×2 mm内,条纹管静态空间分辨率高于29.3 lp/mm@MTF=5%(MTF表示调制传递函数),亮度增益高达39.4.条纹相机光电阴极处静态空间分辨率高于15 lp/mm@CTF=11.64%(CTF表示对比度传递函数);边缘动态空间分辨率高于9.8 lp/mm@CTF=5.51%;时间分辨率优于54.6 ps@Tscreen=4.3 ns(Tscreen为全屏时间)且在整个工作面积内具有较高的一致性;动态范围为345:1@54.6 ps.同时,为满足不同的景深及探测精度需求,相机设置六个扫描档位,可以实现不同扫速下的超快速目标诊断.该条纹相机在无人机载及星载激光成像雷达探测中具有潜在的实用价值.  相似文献

Bayesian, non-linear regression models or artificial neural networks are used to make predictions of dose and dose rate time profiles using calculated dose and/or dose rates soon after event onset. Both methods match a new event to similar historical events before making predictions for the new events. The currently developed Bayesian method categorizes a new event based on calculated dose rates up to 5 h (categorization window) after event onset. Categories are determined using ranges of dose rates from previously observed SEP events. These categories provide a range of predicted asymptotic dose for the new event. The model then goes on to make predictions of dose and dose rate time profiles out to 120 h beyond event onset. We know of no physical significance to our 5 h categorization window. In this paper, we focus on the efficacy of a simple method for SEP event asymptotic dose forecasting. Instead of making temporal predictions of dose and dose rate, we investigate making predictions of ranges of asymptotic dose using only dose rates at times prior to 5 h after event onset. A range of doses may provide sufficient information to make operational decisions such as taking emergency shelter or commencing/canceling extra-vehicular operations. Specifically, predicted ranges of doses that are found to be insignificant for the effect of interest would be ignored or put on a watch list while predicted ranges of greater significance would be used in the operational decision making progress.  相似文献

Initial State Radiation (ISR) plays an important role in e+e collision experiments such as the BESIII. To correct the ISR effects in measurements of hadronic cross-sections of e+e annihilation, an iterative method that weights simulated ISR events is proposed here to assess the efficiency of event selection and the ISR correction factor for the observed cross-section. The simulated ISR events were generated only once, and the obtained cross-sectional line shape was used iteratively to weigh the same simulated ISR events to evaluate the efficiency and corrections until the results converge. Compared with the method of generating ISR events iteratively, the proposed weighting method provides consistent results, and reduces the computational time and disk space required by a factor of five or more, thus speeding-up e+e hadronic cross-section measurements.  相似文献

We report on what we believe is the first demonstration of laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) in flames by use of diode lasers. Indium atoms seeded into an atmospheric-pressure flame at trace concentrations are excited by a blue GaN laser operating near 410 nm. The laser is mounted in an external-cavity configuration, and the hyperfine spectrum of the 5(2)P1/2 --> 6(2)S1/2 transition is captured at high resolution in single-wavelength sweeps lasting less than one tenth of a second. The research demonstrates the potential of diode-based LIF for practical diagnostics of high-temperature reactive flows.  相似文献

We investigate the effect of the dimensions of instantaneous visual fields and the time of accumulation of a signal on the magnitude of light fluxes, recorded by means of charge-coupled device (CCD)-receivers, in scanning different kinds of surfaces. We show that, to compare light fluxes, it is necessary to introduce weight coefficients that take into account the time during which an area measured with a high space resolution is in the visual field of instrumentation with a low space resolution. Errors in the determination of light fluxes, when data obtained with a high space resolution are summed up with equal weight coefficients, have been evaluated. In the large solar energetic particle (SEP) events that constitute a serious radiation hazard, particles are accelerated at shock waves driven out from the Sun by coronal mass ejections (CMEs). A self-regulating mechanism of wave formation by the streaming particles limits SEP intensities early in the event. Hazardous intensities do not occur until the arrival of the shock itself. This provides an opportunity to warn astronauts to take shelter after the onset of the event at the Sun and before arrival of the shock, a time of approximately 12 h or more. The actual time history of particle intensities depends strongly on the longitude of the event at the Sun, on the width the CME, and especially on the speed of the shock. Fortunately, hazardous events are relatively rare. Unfortunately, this gives us few events to study, so we are forced to extrapolate knowledge gained at lower energies in the frequent smaller events. It is essential that the spacecraft with our best instrumentation be positioned outside the Earth's magnetosphere where they can observe these rare large events when they do occur.  相似文献

In time-varying scientific datasets from simulations or experimental observations, scientists always need to understand when and where interesting events occur. An event is a complex spatial and temporal pattern that happens over a course of timesteps and includes the involved features and interactions. Event detection allows scientists to query a time-varying dataset from a much smaller set of possible choices. However, with many events detected from a dataset, each spanning different time intervals, querying and visualizing these events pose a challenge. In this work, we propose a framework for the visualization of events in time-varying scientific datasets. Our method extracts features from a data, tracks features over time, and saves the evolution process of features in an event database where a set of database operations are provided to model an event by defining the stages or individual steps that make up an event. Using the feature metadata and the event database, three types of event visualizations can be created to give a unique insight into the dynamics of data from temporal, spatial, and physical perspectives and to summarize multiple events or even the whole dataset. Three case studies are used to demonstrate the usability and effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

GRB 090423 is the new high-z record holder of Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) with z~ 8.2. We present a detailed analysis of both the spectral and temporal features of GRB 090423 observed with Swift/BAT and Fermi/GBM. We find that the T 90 observed with BAT in the 15–150 keV band is 13.2 s, corresponding to ~ 1.4 s at z=8.2. It once again gives rise to the issue of whether the progenitors of high-z GRBs are massive stars or mergers since the discovery of GRB 080913 at z=6.7. In comparison with the T 90 distribution in the burst frame of the current redshift-known GRB sample, we find that it is marginally grouped into the long group (Type II GRBs). The spectrum observed with both BAT and GBM is well fitted by a power-law with exponential cutoff, which yields an E p=(50.4±7.0) keV. The event satisfies the Amati-relation well for Type II GRBs within their 3σ uncertainty range. Our results indicate that this event would be produced by the death of a massive star. Based on the Amati-relation, we derive its distance modulus, which follows the Hubble diagram of the concordance cosmology model at a redshift of ~8.2.  相似文献
