In this paper a general problem of constrained minimization is studied. The minima are determined by searching for the asymptotical values of the solutions of a suitable system of ordinary differential equations.For this system, if the initial point is feasible, then any trajectory is always inside the set of constraints and tends towards a set of critical points. Each critical point that is not a relative minimum is unstable. For formulas of one-step numerical integration, an estimate of the step of integration is given, so that the above mentioned qualitative properties of the system of ordinary differential equations are kept.  相似文献

In this paper an infinite dimensional generalized Lagrange multipliers rule for convex optimization problems is presented and necessary and sufficient optimality conditions are given in order to guarantee the strong duality. Matyas' random optimization method (Ref. 1) is applied to the constrained nonlinear minimization problem, and its convergence properties are studied. It is shown that the global minimum can be found with probability one, even if the performance function is multimodal (has several local minima) and even if its differentiability is not ensured.The author would like to thank Professors Y. For estimation algorithms, the problem of building correct algorithms by modifying weights of features and weights of objects is examined. Criteria for the possibility to build a correct algorithm are obtained for certain cases. Conditions of the possibility to build a correct algorithm are obtained in terms of solving a constrained optimization problem. An optimization method is proposed. Under these conditions, the proposed method significantly reduces the computational complexity of synthesizing a correct algorithm.  相似文献

An augmented Lagrange algorithm for nonlinear optimizations with second-order cone constraints is proposed based on a Löwner operator associated with a potential function for the optimization problems with inequality constraints. The favorable properties of both the Löwner operator and the corresponding augmented Lagrangian are discussed. The goal of this study is to analyze the Tikhonov regularization method as applied to a general nonlinear optimization problem that has been previously reduced to an unconstrained optimization problem. A novel smooth nonlinear augmented Lagrangian for solving minimax problems with inequality constraints, is proposed in this paper, which has the positive properties that the classical Lagrangian and the penalty function fail to possess. The corresponding algorithm mainly consists of minimizing the nonlinear augmented Lagrangian function and updating the Lagrange multipliers and controlling parameter. It is demonstrated that the algorithm converges Q-superlinearly when the controlling parameter is less than a threshold under the mild conditions. Furthermore, the condition number of the Hessian of the nonlinear augmented Lagrangian function is studied, which is very important for the efficiency of the algorithm. The theoretical results are validated further by the preliminary numerical experiments for several testing problems reported at last, which show that the nonlinear augmented Lagrangian is promising.  相似文献

In this paper, an improved interior-type feasible QP-free algorithm for inequality constrained optimization problems is proposed. At each iteration, by solving three systems of linear equations with the same coefficient matrix, a search direction is generated. The algorithm is proved to be globally and superlinearly convergent under some mild conditions. Preliminary numerical results show that the proposed algorithm may be promising. Advantages of the algorithm include: the uniformly nonsingularity of the coefficient matrices without the strictly complementarity condition is obtained. Moreover, the global convergence is achieved even if the number of the stationary points is infinite.  相似文献

The simplex algorithm of Nelder and Mead is extended to handle nonlinear optimization problems with constraints. To prevent the simplex from collapsing into a subspace near the constraints, a delayed reflection is introduced for those points moving into the infeasible region. Numerical experience indicates that the proposed algorithm yields good results in the presence of both inequality and equality constraints, even when the constraint region is narrow. We note that it may be possible to modify and improve the algorithm by trying out variants.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a vector-valued Tikhonov-type regularization algorithm for an extended-valued multiobjective optimization problem. Under some mild conditions, we prove that any sequence generated by this algorithm converges to a weak Pareto optimal solution of the multiobjective optimization problem. In this paper we propose a subspace limited memory quasi-Newton method for solving large-scale optimization with simple bounds on the variables. The limited memory quasi-Newton method is used to update the variables with indices outside of the active set, while the projected gradient method is used to update the active variables. The search direction consists of three parts: a subspace quasi-Newton direction, and two subspace gradient and modified gradient directions. Our algorithm can be applied to large-scale problems as there is no need to solve any subproblems. The global convergence of the method is proved and some numerical results are also given.

In this paper, a class of optimization problems with equality and inequality constraints is discussed. Firstly, the original problem is transformed to an associated simpler problem with only inequality constraints and a parameter. The later problem is shown to be equivalent to the original problem if the parameter is large enough (but finite), then a feasible descent SQP algorithm for the simplified problem is presented. At each iteration of the proposed algorithm, a master direction is obtained by solving a quadratic program (which always has a feasible solution). With two corrections on the master direction by two simple explicit formulas, the algorithm generates a feasible descent direction for the simplified problem and a height-order correction direction which can avoid the Maratos effect without the strict complementarity, then performs a curve search to obtain the next iteration point. Thanks to the new height-order correction technique, under mild conditions without the strict complementarity, the globally and superlinearly convergent properties are obtained. Finally, an efficient implementation of the numerical experiments is reported.  相似文献

For current sequential quadratic programming (SQP) type algorithms, there exist two problems: (i) in order to obtain a search direction, one must solve one or more quadratic programming subproblems per iteration, and the computation amount of this algorithm is very large. So they are not suitable for the large-scale problems; (ii) the SQP algorithms require that the related quadratic programming subproblems be solvable per iteration, but it is difficult to be satisfied. By using ε-active set procedure with a special penalty function as the merit function, a new algorithm of sequential systems of linear equations for general nonlinear optimization problems with arbitrary initial point is presented. This new algorithm only needs to solve three systems of linear equations having the same coefficient matrix per iteration, and has global convergence and local superlinear convergence. To some extent, the new algorithm can overcome the shortcomings of the SQP algorithms mentioned above. This paper deals with a modified nonlinear inexact Uzawa (MNIU) method for solving the stabilized saddle point problem. The modified Uzawa method is an inexact inner-outer iteration with a variable relaxation parameter and has been discussed in the literature for uniform inner accuracy. This paper focuses on the general case when the accuracy of inner iteration can be variable and the convergence of MNIU with variable inner accuracy, based on a simple energy norm. Sufficient conditions for the convergence of MNIU are proposed. The convergence analysis not only greatly improves the existing convergence results for uniform inner accuracy in the literature, but also extends the convergence to the variable inner accuracy that has not been touched in literature. Numerical experiments are given to show the efficiency of the MNIU algorithm.  相似文献

This paper considers the problem of minimizing a special convex function subject to one linear constraint. Based upon a theorem for lower and upper bounds on the Lagrange multiplier a fully polynomial time approximation scheme is proposed.
