A high power repetitive spark-pin UV-preionized TEA CO2 laser system is presented. The discharge for generating laser pulses is controlled by a rotary spark switch and a high voltage pulsed trigger. Uniform glow discharge between two symmetrical Chang-electrodes is realized by using an auto-inversion circuit. A couple of high power axial-flow fans with the maximum wind speed of 80 m/s are used for gas exchange between the electrodes. At a repetitive operation, the maximum average output laser power of 10.4 kW 10.6 ??m laser is obtained at 300 Hz, with an electro-optical conversion efficiency of 15.6%. At single pulsed operation, more pumping energy and higher gases pressures can be injected, and the maximum output laser energy of 53 J is achieved.  相似文献

TEA CO2 laser preionization by plasma sheet formed by discharge sliding over a dielectric surface is described. The preionization electron number density in order of 109cm–3 was measured in the CO2 N2 He=113 gas mixture. The plasma sheet was also tested as a main discharge electrode in TEA CO2 laser.The authors would like to acknowledge with thanks the current interest and the help of P. Gavrilov and V. Summary One of the prerequisites for successful laser angioplasty is the ablation of the atherosclerotic lesions, without thermal or shock-wave damage of the healthy tissue. In this study was evaluated the effectiveness of a TEA CO2 laser, emitting pulses of the lower TEM mode, 100 ns duration, at a repetition rate of 2.4 Hz, for the ablation of cardiovascular tissue. Normal and atherosclerotic human arteries (post mortem) were irradiated for a range of fluences up to 10J pulse−1 cm−2. After irradiation, the samples were prepared for histologic examination. The results showed that controlled ablation of normal and atherosclerotic coronary artery can be accomplished with the TEA CO2 laser, with minimal thermal damage.  相似文献

研制成功一种新型双波长TEACO2激光器,激光器在一对横向放电电极之间设置两个空间部分重叠的光栅_平面腔,两光栅沿腔轴一前一后放置,且在空间上交叠,两个腔相互利用,能够输出含有两种波长成分的激光脉冲。输出的同一激光脉冲中两波长激光场在空间上部分重叠,重叠程度和两种波长激光场的能量比均可通过调整前面光栅的水平横向位置加以控制,通过调节两光栅的角度选择所需支线,波长调谐方便且调谐范围较宽。该激光器在分离硼同位素的实验中得到了初步成功的应用。  相似文献

A theoretical model for the multiline TEA CO2 laser has been developed which takes into account the overlap of the P(20) line of (0001) (1000) regular band transition with the R(23) line of (0111) (1110) hot band transition. The model is used for the study of the influence of different parameters like laser gas temperature, gas mixture and pump rates on laser intensities of different rotational lines. This study explains the experimental results of the high power multiline TEA CO2 laser very well.  相似文献

The evolution of the intensity profile of TEA CO2 laser pulses along the pulse length is investigated both analytically and experimentally. A simple scalar model of the pulse amplitude is introduced, which gives the loaded-cavity modes as a linear combination of bidimensional Hermite-Gauss functions. According to this model a number of equations are derived which link the time-varying spatial structure of the pulse to its time-resolved second-order intensity moments, namely, the beam width and the M2 parameter.  相似文献

The high-power pulse-periodic TEA CO2 laser intended for use in the structure of mobile ground-based long-range IR DIAL lidar is developed. For achievement of the highest peak power of radiation, the system of laser excitation with a voltage of ±40 kV and effective preionization allowing one to work at high pressure of various gaseous mixtures is created. A study of energetic, temporal and spatial parameters of laser radiation for used gaseous mixtures are executed at a pressure of 0.5–2.4 atm. The pulses of laser emission with an energy more than 10 J and duration on FWHM of ∼30 ns are obtained for the case of heliumless mixtures. The maximal obtained peak power of the laser radiation is 100 MW. The maximal efficiency of the laser including the energy deposited in the glow discharge is 12.6%. At the use of the selective cavity, the laser operation at 85 emission lines of the CO2 molecule is obtained and at 60 lines, the energy of radiation exceeded 4 J.  相似文献

In this article, an experimental study of a miniature, sealed-off, high-repetition-rate transversely excited atmospheric-pressure (TEA) CO2 laser with a kind of surface-wire-corona preionization (SWCP) is described. We have utilized an SWCP consisting of SiO2 dielectric tube and a fine wire strained and attached to the dielectric surface. A BN ceramic material, which has an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion of about 5 × 10−7/°C was employed as a supporter of the resonator. A measurement on emission spectra of SWCP has been reported. By applying SWCP to the TEA CO2 laser, efficient laser operation at an overall efficiency of 9.8% with an output energy of 150 mJ has been achieved from a small discharge volume of 25 cm3 with an active length of 230 mm. At the pulse repetition frequency of 60 Hz, the TEM00 mode of laser beam with pulse width of 60 ns was obtained.  相似文献

设计了一种新型结构的激光器———双通道放电激励折叠腔TEA CO2激光器。该激光器通过提高脉冲能量输出水平来增加激光输出谱线数目和激光差分吸收雷达可探测的气体种类。它在增大激光器放电时间长度的同时保证了较小的激光器体积,更好地满足了激光差分吸收雷达光源体积小,重量轻,输出能量高的要求。得到激光器输出能量与气体工作气压的关系曲线,获得了激光器内工作气压与输出脉宽关系曲线,发现脉冲宽度大约在50~70ns之间变化,研究了气体压强对激光器输出脉冲峰值功率的影响。  相似文献

Amorphous diamond-like carbon (DLC) films and nanocrystalline cubic boron nitride (c-BN) films were prepared by pulsed laser deposition. DLC films with 80 to 85% sp3 bonds prepared at a laser fluence above 6 J/cm2 and a substrate temperature below 100 °C show high compressive stresses in the range of 8 to 10 GPa. Those stresses can be completely removed by means of pulsed laser annealing, allowing the preparation of DLC films with several-micrometre thickness. c-BN films were prepared with additional ion-beam bombardment at a substrate temperature of 250 °C. The effect of injecting radiation from a cw waveguide CO2 laser into a TEA laser through a hole in one mirror of its unstable resonator has been studied experimentally. High-power single longitudinal mode operation of the TEA laser is achieved over a wide but finite range of injection frequencies, the frequency of the single-mode pulse being that of the TEA laser cavity mode lying closest to the injected frequency. Although a simple theoretical model shows good qualitative agreement with observations it underestimates the range of injection frequencies which result in single-mode pulses unless a fast chirping of the cavity mode frequency is postulated.  相似文献

 设计了一种非对称电极,这种非对称电极的阳极是Chang电极或Ernst电极,阴极是由直线和圆弧构成的简单电极。通过比较和分析非对称电极和对称电极的特点发现,非对称电极系统中简单电极的边缘电场起伏最大。采用有限元方法计算了非对称电极系统中的简单电极取不同的直线长度和弧线半径时,非对称电极系统的电场分布,给出了选择非对称电极系统中的简单电极参数的依据。结果表明:这种非对称电极系统结合了解析电极和简单电极的优点,通过选择非对称电极系统的简单电极参数,它可以在TEA CO2激光器中产生边缘电场起伏小于0.06,且满足电极表面均匀场面积宽度要求的电场。  相似文献

 从均匀场电极理论出发,计算并讨论了近似Rogowski电极、Chang电极(含紧凑式Chang电极)和Ernst电极的形状、理论电场分布和实际电场分布。对实验室所用的几种电极进行了脉冲放电实验,从而获得了TEA CO2激光器的放电参数与输出特性,并对这些结果进行了比较和分析。计算表明,在基本参数相同的情况下,Ernst电极具有最紧凑的外形和最佳的均匀电场分布。实验表明,采用近似Rogowski电极的TEA CO2激光器具有最大放电辉光范围和44 kV的最小放电击穿电压;采用Ernst电极的TEA CO2激光器具有25 J的最高单脉冲能量和最大17.2%的斜率效率。最后提出了TEA CO2激光器主电极的选择建议。  相似文献
