Let Λ be a finite dimensional k-algebra over an algebraically closed field k and let ΛT be a splitting tilting module of projective dimension at most 1. Let Γ=EndΛT. If the representation dimension of Λ is at most 3 then the main result asserts that the representation dimension of Γ does not exceed that of Λ.  相似文献

Let R be a commutative ring with identity in which 2 is invertible. Let H denote a subgroup of the unitary group U(2n,R,Λ) with n≥4. H is normalized by EU(2n,J,ΓJ) for some form ideal (J,ΓJ) of the form ring (R,Λ). The purpose of the paper is to prove that H satisfies a “sandwich” property, i.e. there exists a form ideal (I,ΓI) such that
EU(2n,IJ8ΓJ,Γ)⊆HCU(2n,I,ΓI).  相似文献

This work is based on ideas of Ili? [A. Ili?, The energy of unitary Cayley graphs, Linear Algebra Appl. 431 (2009) 1881-1889] on the energy of unitary Cayley graph. For a finite commutative ring R with unity , the unitary Cayley graph of R is the Cayley graph whose vertex set is R and the edge set is {{a,b}:a,bRanda-bR×}, where R× is the group of units of R. We study the eigenvalues of the unitary Cayley graph of a finite commutative ring and some gcd-graphs and compute their energy. Moreover, we obtain the energy for the complement of unitary Cayley graphs.  相似文献

For an abelian group Γ, a formula to compute the characteristic polynomial of a Γ-graph has been obtained by Lee and Kim [Characteristic polynomials of graphs having a semi-free action, Linear algebra Appl. 307 (2005) 35-46]. As a continuation of this work, we give a computational formula for generalized characteristic polynomial of a Γ-graph when Γ is a finite group. Moreover, after showing that the reciprocal of the Bartholdi zeta function of a graph can be derived from the generalized characteristic polynomial of a graph, we compute the reciprocals of the Bartholdi zeta functions of wheels and complete bipartite graphs as an application of our formula.  相似文献

Let Γ denote the parabola y=x 2 in the plane. For some simple sets Λ in the plane we study the question whether (Γ,Λ) is a Heisenberg uniqueness pair. For example we shall consider the cases where Λ is a straight line or a union of two straight lines.  相似文献

We give a necessary and sufficient condition for the second quantization operator Γ(h) of a bounded operator h on , or for its differential second quantization operator λ(h), to have a representation as a quantum stochastic integral. This condition is exactly that h writes as the sum of a Hilbert-Schmidt operator and a multiplication operator. We then explore several extensions of this result. We also examine the famous counterexample due to Journé and Meyer and explain its representability defect.  相似文献

A finite graph Γ is called G-symmetric if G is a group of automorphisms of Γ which is transitive on the set of ordered pairs of adjacent vertices of Γ. We study a family of symmetric graphs, called the unitary graphs, whose vertices are flags of the Hermitian unital and whose adjacency relations are determined by certain elements of the underlying finite fields. Such graphs admit the unitary groups as groups of automorphisms, and play a significant role in the classification of a family of symmetric graphs with complete quotients such that an associated incidence structure is a doubly point-transitive linear space. We give this classification in the paper and also investigate combinatorial properties of the unitary graphs.  相似文献

Let Λ be an artin algebra and X a finitely generated Λ-module. Iyama has shown that there exists a module Y such that the endomorphism ring Γ of XY is quasi-hereditary, with a heredity chain of length n, and that the global dimension of Γ is bounded by this n. In general, one only knows that a quasi-hereditary algebra with a heredity chain of length n must have global dimension at most 2n−2. We want to show that Iyama’s better bound is related to the fact that the ring Γ he constructs is not only quasi-hereditary, but even left strongly quasi-hereditary. By definition, the left strongly quasi-hereditary algebras are the quasi-hereditary algebras with all standard left modules of projective dimension at most 1.  相似文献

We prove that, for any transitive Lie bialgebroid (A, A), the differential associated to the Lie algebroid structure on A has the form d=A[Λ,⋅]+Ω, where Λ is a section of 2A and Ω is a Lie algebroid 1-cocycle for the adjoint representation of A. Globally, for any transitive Poisson groupoid (Γ,Π), the Poisson structure has the form , where ΠF is a bivector field on Γ associated to a Lie groupoid 1-cocycle.  相似文献

We define the Haagerup property for C?-algebras A and extend this to a notion of relative Haagerup property for the inclusion BA, where B is a C?-subalgebra of A. Let Γ be a discrete group and Λ a normal subgroup of Γ, we show that the inclusion A?α,rΛA?α,rΓ has the relative Haagerup property if and only if the quotient group Γ/Λ has the Haagerup property. In particular, the inclusion has the relative Haagerup property if and only if Γ/Λ has the Haagerup property; has the Haagerup property if and only if Γ has the Haagerup property. We also characterize the Haagerup property for Γ in terms of its Fourier algebra A(Γ).  相似文献

Given a graph Γ, we construct a simple, convex polytope, dubbed graph-associahedra, whose face poset is based on the connected subgraphs of Γ. This provides a natural generalization of the Stasheff associahedron and the Bott-Taubes cyclohedron. Moreover, we show that for any simplicial Coxeter system, the minimal blow-ups of its associated Coxeter complex has a tiling by graph-associahedra. The geometric and combinatorial properties of the complex as well as of the polyhedra are given. These spaces are natural generalizations of the Deligne-Knudsen-Mumford compactification of the real moduli space of curves.  相似文献

Let S be a projective plane, and let G?Aut(S) and PSL(2, q) ? G ? PΓL(2, q) with q > 3. If G acts point-transitively on S, then q = 7 and S is of order 2.  相似文献

Let Λ and Γ be left and right Noetherian rings and Λ U a generalized tilting module with Γ = End( Λ U ). For a non-negative integer k, if Λ U is (k - 2)-Gorenstein with the injective dimensions of Λ U and U Γ being k, then the socle of the last term in a minimal injective resolution of Λ U is non-zero.  相似文献

Let Γ be a smooth curve in the plane R2, and Λ be any subset of R2. When can one recover uniquely a finite measure μ, supported by Γ and absolutely continuous with respect to the arc length measure on Γ, from the restriction to Λ of its Fourier transform? In this note we present two results in the subject, one is concerned with the case when Γ is a circle, and the other with the case when Λ is “close” to a lattice.  相似文献

This paper describes the use of a generalized isometric Arnoldi algorithm to reduce a unitary matrix, via unitary similarity, to a product of elementary reflectors and permutations. The computation is analogous to the reduction of a unitary matrix to a unitary Hessenberg matrix using the isometric Arnoldi algorithm. In the case in which A is a shift matrix, the reduction provides a novel recurrence for the factor R in the QR factorization of a Toeplitz-like matrix.  相似文献

Let Γ and Λ be artin algebras such that Γ is a split-by-nilpotent extension of Λ by a two sided ideal I of Γ. Consider the change of rings functors G: =ΓΓΛ ?Λ ? and F: =ΛΛΓ ?Γ ?. In this article, by assuming that I Λ is projective, we find the necessary and sufficient conditions under which a stratifying system (Θ, ≤) in modΛ can be lifted to a stratifying system (GΘ, ≤) in mod(Γ). Furthermore, by using the functors F and G, we study the relationship between their filtered categories of modules; and some connections with their corresponding standardly stratified algebras are stated (see Theorem 5.12, Theorem 5.15 and Theorem 5.18). Finally, a sufficient condition is given for stratifying systems in mod(Γ) in such a way that they can be restricted, through the functor F, to stratifying systems in mod(Λ).  相似文献

Let Λ be a finite-dimensional algebra over an algebraically closed field k of finite global dimension. Let M be a finitely generated Λ-module and let Γ=Λ[M] be the one point extension algebra. We show how to compute the Coxeter polynomial for Γ from the Coxeter polynomial of Λ and homological invariants of M.  相似文献

Let Γ be a countable locally finite graph and let H(Γ) and H+(Γ) denote the homeomorphism group of Γ with the compact-open topology and its identity component. These groups can be embedded into the space of all closed sets of Γ×Γ with the Fell topology, which is compact. Taking closure, we have natural compactifications and . In this paper, we completely determine the topological type of the pair and give a necessary and sufficient condition for this pair to be a (Q,s)-manifold. The pair is also considered for simple examples, and in particular, we find that has homotopy type of RP3. In this investigation we point out a certain inaccuracy in Sakai-Uehara's preceding results on for finite graphs Γ.  相似文献
