The study of maximal-primary irreducible ideals in a commutative graded connected Noetherian algebra over a field is in principle equivalent to the study of the corresponding quotient algebras. Such algebras are Poincaré duality algebras. A prototype for such an algebra is the cohomology with field coefficients of a closed oriented manifold. Topological constructions on closed manifolds often lead to algebraic constructions on Poincaré duality algebras and therefore also on maximal-primary irreducible ideals. It is the purpose of this note to examine several of these and develop some of their basic properties.  相似文献

The rank-sum, rank-product, and rank-union inequalities for Gondran-Minoux rank of matrices over idempotent semirings are considered. We prove these inequalities for matrices over quasi-selective semirings without zero divisors, which include matrices over the max-plus semiring. Moreover, it is shown that the inequalities provide the linear algebraic characterization for the class of quasi-selective semirings. Namely, it is proven that the inequalities hold for matrices over an idempotent semiring S without zero divisors if and only if S is quasi-selective. For any idempotent semiring which is not quasi-selective it is shown that the rank-sum, rank-product, and rank-union inequalities do not hold in general. Also, we provide an example of a selective semiring with zero divisors such that the rank-sum, rank-product, and rank-union inequalities do not hold in general.  相似文献

We classify the bijective linear operators on spaces of matrices over antinegative commutative semirings with no zero divisors which preserve certain rank functions such as the symmetric rank, the factor rank and the tropical rank. The determinant of the Cartan matrix of a finite dimensional algebra is an invariant of the derived category and can be very helpful for derived equivalence classifications. In this paper we determine the determinants of the Cartan matrices for all gentle algebras. This is a class of algebras of tame representation type which occurs naturally in various places in representation theory. The definition of these algebras is of a purely combinatorial nature, and so are our formulae for the Cartan determinants.Received: 29 October 2004  相似文献

Using van den Dries’s test and Brüstle, de la Peña and Skowroński’s characterization of tame strongly simply connected algebras we prove that such algebras of fixed dimension form an open Z-scheme. There is also an open Z-scheme of all strongly simply connected algebras.  相似文献

Let Mn(R) be the algebra of all n×n matrices over a unital commutative ring R with 2 invertible, V be an R-module. It is shown in this article that, if a symmetric bilinear map {·,·} from Mn(RMn(R) to V satisfies the condition that {u,u}={e,u} whenever u2=u, then there exists a linear map f from Mn(R) to V such that . Applying the main result we prove that an invertible linear transformation θ on Mn(R) preserves idempotent matrices if and only if it is a Jordan automorphism, and a linear transformation δ on Mn(R) is a Jordan derivation if and only if it is Jordan derivable at all idempotent points.  相似文献

Let A be a unital algebra and let M be a unitary A-bimodule. We consider generalized Lie derivations mapping from A to M. Our results are applied to triangular algebras, in particular to nest algebras and (block) upper triangular matrix algebras. We prove that under certain conditions each generalized Lie derivation of a triangular algebra A is the sum of a generalized derivation and a central map which vanishes on all commutators of A.  相似文献

We prove similar results for uniform spectral multipliers of second order elliptic differential operators in divergence form on belonging to a wide class, which contains . A new class of algebras (the Jacobian algebras) is introduced and studied in detail. The Jacobian algebras are obtained from the Weyl algebras by inverting (not in the sense of Ore) certain elements. Surprisingly, the Jacobian algebras and the Weyl algebras have little in common. Moreover, they have almost opposite properties.  相似文献

We study spectral multipliers of right invariant sub-Laplacians with drift on a connected Lie group G. The operators we consider are self-adjoint with respect to a positive measure , whose density with respect to the left Haar measure λG is a nontrivial positive character of G. We show that if p≠2 and G is amenable, then every spectral multiplier of extends to a bounded holomorphic function on a parabolic region in the complex plane, which depends on p and on the drift. When G is of polynomial growth we show that this necessary condition is nearly sufficient, by proving that bounded holomorphic functions on the appropriate parabolic region which satisfy mild regularity conditions on its boundary are spectral multipliers of . We discuss when the incidence coalgebra of a locally finite preordered set is right co-Frobenius. As a consequence, we obtain that a structural matrix algebra over a field k is Frobenius if and only if it consists, up to a permutation of rows and columns, of diagonal blocks which are full matrix algebras over k.  相似文献
