Density contrasts in the universe are governed by scalar cosmological perturbations which, when expressed in terms of gauge-invariant variables, contain a classical component from scalar metric perturbations and a quantum component from inflaton field fluctuations. It has long been known that the effect of cosmological expansion on a quantum field amounts to squeezing. Thus, the entropy of cosmological perturbations can be studied by treating them in the framework of squeezed quantum systems. Entropy of a free quantum field is a seemingly simple yet subtle issue. In this paper, different from previous treatments, we tackle this issue with a fully developed nonequilibrium quantum field theory formalism for such systems. We compute the covariance matrix elements of the parametric quantum field and solve for the evolution of the density matrix elements and the Wigner functions, and, from them, derive the von Neumann entropy. We then show explicitly why the entropy for the squeezed yet closed system is zero, but is proportional to the particle number produced upon coarse-graining out the correlation between the particle pairs. We also construct the bridge between our quantum field-theoretic results and those using the probability distribution of classical stochastic fields by earlier authors, preserving some important quantum properties, such as entanglement and coherence, of the quantum field.  相似文献

Polarization quantum tomography is performed on 4-mode squeezed vacuum states. Three-dimensional polarization quasiprobability functions are obtained and compared to that of an equal intensity coherent state. These distributions clearly demonstrate the difference in the polarization properties of the considered states. The reconstruction quality of the coherent state distribution is also analyzed by comparing the theoretically and experimentally obtained shapes for this state.  相似文献

Statistical properties, generation, and applications of three-mode biphoton fields with no more than one photon in each mode are discussed. Such field states have sub-Poissonian photon statistics and can be squeezed and entangled. The modes that simultaneously exhibit these properties in measurements are indicated. Two setups for generating such states via spontaneous parametric down-conversion are described. It is shown that the field states discussed in this study provide a quantum channel for teleportation, dense coding, and quantum key distribution.  相似文献

Quantum entanglement dynamics of two Tavis-Cummings atoms interacting with the quantum light sources in a cavity is investigated. The results show the phenomenon that the concurrence disappears abruptly in a finite time, which depends on the initial atomic states and the properties of squeezed states. We find that there are two decoherence-free states in squeezed vacuum fields: one is the singlet state, and the other entangled state is the state
that combines both excited states and ground states with a relative phase being equal to the phase of the squeezed state.  相似文献

We consider the problem of the driven harmonic oscillator in the probability representation of quantum mechanics, where the oscillator states are described by fair nonnegative probability distributions of position measured in rotated and squeezed reference frames in the system??s phase space. For some specific oscillator states like coherent states and nth excited states, the tomographic-probability distributions (called the state tomograms) are found in an explicit form. The evolution equation for the tomograms is discussed for the classical and quantum driven oscillators, and the tomographic propagator for this equation is studied.  相似文献

We study quantum analogs of classical situations, i.e. quantum states possessing some specific classical attribute(s). These states seem quite generally, to have the form of gaussian density matrices. Such states can always be parametrized as thermal squeezed states (TSS). We consider the following specific cases: (a) Two beams that are built from initial beams which passed through a beam splitter cannot, classically, be distinguished from (appropriately prepared) two independent beams that did not go through a splitter. The only quantum states possessing this classical attribute are TSS. (b) The classical Cramer's theorem was shown to have a quantum version (Hegerfeldt). Again, the states here are Gaussian density matrices. (c) The special case in the study of the quantum version of Cramer's theorem, viz. when the state obtained after partial tracing is a pure state, leads to the conclusion that all states involved are zero temperature limit TSS. The classical analog here are gaussians of zero width, i.e. all distributions are δ functions in phase space.  相似文献

The quantum phase properties of the generalized squeezed vacuum states associated with solvable quantum systems are studied by using the Pegg-Barnett formalism.Then,two nonclassical features,i.e.,squeezing in the number and phase operators,as well as the number-phase Wigner function of the generalized squeezed states are investigated.Due to some actual physical situations,the present approach is applied to two classes of generalized squeezed states:solvable quantum systems with discrete spectra and nonlinear squeezed states with particular nonlinear functions.Finally,the time evolution of the nonclassical properties of the considered systems has been numerically investigated.  相似文献

This short review summarizes recent developments and results in connection with point-form dynamics of relativistic quantum systems. We discuss a Poincaré invariant multichannel formalism which describes particle production and annihilation via vertex interactions that are derived from field theoretical interaction densities. We sketch how this rather general formalism can be used to derive electromagnetic form factors of confined quark?Cantiquark systems. As a further application it is explained how the chiral constituent quark model leads to hadronic states that can be considered as bare hadrons dressed by meson loops. Within this approach hadron resonances acquire a finite (non-perturbative) decay width. We will also discuss the point-form dynamics of quantum fields. After recalling basic facts of the free-field case we will address some quantum field theoretical problems for which canonical quantization on a space?Ctime hyperboloid could be advantageous.  相似文献

Using an isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics (IQMD) model, we study the 15C induced reactions from 30-120 MeV/nucleon systematically. Here the valence neutron of 15C is assigned at both 1d5/2 and 2s1/2 states respectively in order to study the density effect of reaction mechanism. It is believed that the existent neutron halo structure at the 2s1/2 state of 15C will affect the light particle emission evidently. In our calculation, the different density distributions of 15C at two states are calculated by relativistic mean field (RMF) model and introduced in the initiation of IQMD model, respectively. It is found that some observables such as emission fragmentation multiplicity, emission neutron/proton ratio and emission neutrons’ kinetic energy spectrum are sensitive to the initial density distribution.  相似文献

We study a scheme for Mach-Zehnder(MZ) interferometer as a quantum linear device by injecting two-mode squeezed input states into two ports of interferometer.Two-mode squeezed states can be changed into two types of inputs for MZ interferometer:two squeezed states and Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen(EPR) entangled states.The interference patterns of the MZ interferometer vary periodically as the relative phase of the two arms of the interferometer is scanned,and are measured by the balanced homodyne detection system.Our experiments show that there are different interference patterns and periodicity of the output quantum states for two cases which depend on the relative phase of input optical fields.Since MZ interferometer can be used to realize some quantum operations,this work will have the important applications in quantum information and metrology.  相似文献

Light fields with spatially structured states of polarization(SoPs) are gathering increasing attention because of their potential applications from optical imaging and micromanipulation to classical and quantum communications. Meanwhile,the concepts within structured light fields have been extended and applied to acoustic, electron, and matter waves. In this article, we review recent developments of the SoP modulation of light fields, especially focusing on three-dimensional(3 D) modulations on the SoPs of light fields. The recent progress and novel implementations based on 3 D spin-dependent separation are discussed. Following the discussions to this physical phenomenon, we then describe recent developments on the vector fields with 3 D structured SoP and intensity distributions, namely, 3 D vector fields. The discussed phenomena inspire us to explore other structured light fields for the expansion of applications in biomedical, information science,quantum optics, and so on.  相似文献

We propose a scheme for generating entangled squeezed vacuum states of electromagnetical fields. The scheme is based on cavity QED. In this scheme, an atom interacts, successively, with a classical field, two quantum cavity fields, and another classical field. By detecting the final states of the atom, the two quantum cavity fields will be projected to an entangled state.  相似文献

根据大失谐条件下原子-腔场相互作用的特点,讨论了一个制备纠缠压缩态的方法,提出了一个利用两能级原子与腔场相互作用实现纠缠压缩态纠缠浓缩的方案。在这个方案中,两束具有相同振幅但有着 相位差的压缩光 和 构成的纠缠态光场被用来作为量子信道。通过利用两能级原子与腔场的相互作用以及两模正交态测量实现了这个纠缠浓缩的过程。结果表明:对于纠缠压缩态,无论其初始的纠缠是多么微弱,利用这种方法总有一定的几率可以从部分纠缠态中提取出最大纠缠态。  相似文献

Much attention is given for the squeezed coherent states (SCS's) superposition. The s-parameterized charactristic function (CF) for the output field with the superposition of SCS's as input field is given. The s-parameterized quasiprobabilty distribution function (QDF) for the output field with superposition of SCS's as input state are investigated. Various moments are calculated by using the s-parameterized CF for that field. The Glauber second-order coherence function is calculated. The quadrature squeezing for the output field are discussed. Some QDF's of the output fields are plotted as functions of the interaction time. Phase properties of the superpostion of SCS's are studied. The s-parameterized phase distributions obtained by integrating the s-parameterized QDF over radial variable are illustrated.  相似文献

We calculate the degree of entanglement for some bipartite entangled states of continuous variables.These states include common two-mode squeezed vacuum state, thermal vacuum state of a free single particle (where theh fictitious tilde system is regarded as another particle), and the squeezed vacuum state of two coupling harmonic oscillators.The degree of entanglement for these quantum systems are shown clearly by using the technique of integration within an ordered product of operators.  相似文献
