Spin polarization of 12B was measured for 100Mo(14N, 12B) at Ei(14N) ? 200 MeV as a function of Q value down to Q ? ?150 MeV, and was found anti-parallel to kf × ki in the deep-inelastic region. The data together with those at lower incident energies show a systematic trend in Q-value dependence of the polarization.  相似文献

In order to investigate spectral shape factors of 12B and 12N, we make a new formalism of β-decay theory, where the radial wave functions of leptons are treated with no approximation and, therefore, the nuclear matrix elements are electron-energy dependent. With this formalism we can show strong support for the conserved vector current hypothesis in analyzing the experimental data which were given by Wu, Lee and Mo in 1963 and revised by them in 1977 using the latest experimental results on the end-point energies and branching ratios of the inner β-groups, in addition to the correct Fermi functions for the positron. In fact, the average slopes of the spectral shape factors for 12B and 12N are in excellent agreement with those in our theory. Recent experimental data given by the Heidelberg group are also in good agreement with the theory if we analyze the difference of the average slopes for 12B and 12N. There are, however, small discrepancies with the theory in their individual values. The relation of the present formalism with traditional theories of β-decay is discussed.  相似文献

The reaction 26Mg(12C, 12B)26A1(5+, 3+) has been studied using a beam of 102 MeV of 12C. Shell-model, microscopic direct model and finite-range coupled reaction channel (CRC) calculations including recoil effects, have been performed, for comparison with the experimental data. DWBA calculations were performed for the intermediate states of interest in the 11B + 27Al and in the 13C + 25Mg channels and these results were also compared with the experimental ones. The dominant reaction mechanism for 26Mg(12C, 12B)26Al(5+, 3+) appears to be the sequential mode.  相似文献

The cross sections for the 10B(13C, 12C)11B neutron-transfer reaction, leading to the 11B 4.45 and 6.74 MeV and 12C 4.44 MeV excited states, and for 13C + 10B fusion have been measured by the characteristic and total γ-ray yield methods, respectively, over the energy (c.m.) interval 2.4–5.8 MeV. For 13C + 11B, with no transfer reactions present, the fusion cross sections have been measured between Ec.m. = 2.3 and 6.4 MeV. The fusion cross sections for 13C + 10B and 13C + 11B are found to be almost equal and slightly enhanced with respect to those for 12C + 10B and 12C + 11B.  相似文献

A new method using low energy π+ elastic scattering is employed to determine the proton matter distribution of a nucleus relative to an adjacent nucleus differing by one proton. The difference in the rms charge radii of 12C and 11B was determined to be 0.072 ± 0.021 fm with π+ beam energies of 38.6 and 47.7 MeV.  相似文献

Differential cross sections for neutrons scattered from 11B have been measured for 2.2 MeV < En < 4.5 MeV. The differential cross section σ(θ) is fitted reasonably well by R-matrix parameters for broad states in 12B with assignments 1 ? and (1) + at excitation energies Ex = 5.8 and 6.8 MeV respectively. The broad 1 ? state has not been previously observed and is believed to be the 1 ? member of the 1p32?11d52 particle-hole multiplet predicted to exist by earlier shell model calculations. Its existence completes the identification of all of the levels of this multiplet (3 ?, 2 ?, 4 ?, 1 ?). The broad (1)+ level at Ex = 6.8 MeV has not been previously observed. States at excitation energies Ex = 5.61, 5.73 and 6.6 MeV have been assigned spins and parities of 3+, 3? and (1)+ respectively. These states had previously been assigned spins of 2, 3 and ≧ 1 respectively. Work on T = 1 states in 12C1 has been compared with the present work.  相似文献

Energy spectra and differential cross sections of nitrogen products formed in the reaction 28 MeV 11B + 12C have been measured using a ΔE?E counter telescope. The energy spectra are smooth and therefore indicate that the nitrogen products were formed by a compound nucleus mechanism, via the formation and decay of the compound nucleus 23Na. The experimental results are compared with statistical model calculations and good agreement is obtained. This result provides further evidence for the importance of the compound nucleus mechanism in heavy ion reactions with light nuclei and also gives added validity to the statistical model for light compound systems.  相似文献

The sum of the induce pseudo-scalar gP and the second-class induced tensor gT couplings in muon capture is found to be (gP + gT)gA= (13.3 + 1.8) by comparing with recent data on the recoil polarization of 12B(1+) in the μ? + 12C→12B+ νμ process, even aaking into account the corrections due to the gamma decay of the excited states of 12B to 12B(1+;g.s.). With the canonical value for gP and in the absence of meson exchange effects, our results indicate a large positive value for gT which is in strong contradiction with the conclusion of the Louvain-Saclay—ETH experiment.  相似文献

The differential cross section and polarization for neutrons scattered from 10B have been measured at En = 2.63 MeV (Ex = 13.85 MeV). The results of this experiment and other available neutron scattering data in the range 1 < En < 4 MeV are interpreted through a single-level R-matrix calculation over the region 12 < Ex < 15 MeV. Based on this analysis the most probable Jπ assignment for the 14.0 MeV level in 11B is 112+. The anomaly near Ex = 13.1 MeV can only be explained in terms of two overlapping levels having assignments of (52, 72)? and (32, 52, 72)+.  相似文献

The cross sections for proton capture by 11B to the ground and excited states of 12C have been measured in the proton energy interval between 18 and 43 MeV. The ground-state cross section shows good agreement with theoretical calculations including correlations. Capture photons have also been observed to all the residual 1p-1h states of 12C having a dominant 1p?132 hole: the corresponding cross sections systematically show a giant resonance whose energy increases with the increasing excitation energy of the “background” level. The resonances at 27.4, 31, 33.2, 37 and 43 MeV, seem to show observable interference effects.  相似文献

Positive and negative pion photoproduction cross sections from 10B and 13C leading to the ground state of the residual nucleus have been calculated in the plane-wave and distorted-wave impulse approximations. The results are compared with experiment and with other theoretical calculations. While a large discrepancy is observed between experiment and theory in the case of negative pion photoproduction from 13C, fair agreement is obtained between experiment and the plane-wave calculations in all other reactions. It is found that in all reactions studied, except in the case of positive pion production from 13C, the inclusion of the pion-wave distortions moves the theory away from the experimental points. It is also found that the photopion differential-cross-section calculations show a sensitivity to the nuclear wave function different from that predicted by the electron scattering form-factor calculations.  相似文献

The nucleus 11B has been studied over the excitation energy range from 8.5 MeV to 21.5 MeV with the 9Be(3He, p)11B / reaction at / E3He = 38 MeV. The analogs of the parent states in 11Be have been located at 12.56, 12.92, 14.40, 16.44, 17.69, 18.0, 19.15 and 21.27 MeV. A complementary measurement with the 9Be(α, d)11B reaction at Eα = 48 MeV demonstrates that the 16.44, 17.69, 18.0 and 19.15 MeV resonances have rather pure isospin Tf = 32. The 14.40 MeV state is a strongly isospin-mixed analog of the 52+1.78 MeV state in 11Be. It is argued that spin S = 1 transfer is involved in the excitation of the 16.44 MeV state and its 3.887 MeV parent in 11Be in a two-step stripping process. The Tf = 12 states and the lowest three Tf = 32 states are compared with the predictions of DWBA utilizing shell-model form factors. It is concluded that the Tf = 12 strength is more strongly fragmented than is implied by the calculations of Teeters and Kurath.  相似文献

The spin polarized β-emitting nuclei12B (I π=1+,T 1/2=20.18 ms) were produced by the nuclear reaction11B(d, p)12B and by the selection technique of the incident deuteron energy and the12B recoil angle following the nuclear reaction. The nuclear magnetic moment of the short-lived nuclei12B was measured by β-NMR with the β-NMR and β-NQR setup established for the first time in China. The nuclear magnetic moment of12B was determined to be μ=0.99993±0.00048 nm org=0.99993±0.00048 after the precise correction of the Knight shift.  相似文献

We made an explicit formula for beta-ray angular distribution by taking into account the radiative corrections, Coulomb corrections of the finite-size nucleus, weak magnetism, induced pseudoscalar, second-class induced tensor, and contributions of the d-wave leptons. Experimental data on the beta decays of aligned 12B and 12N given at Osaka are carefully investigated, and it is shown that these data are compatible with no induced tensor current, ?T?A = ?(0.44 +-0.88)2M. The nuclear parameter y is 3.3±0.9 in excellent agreement with the predicted value 3.6.  相似文献

Angular distributions of neutron polarization from the 14C(p, n)14N and 11B(α, n)14N reactions have been studied for the particle energies Ep = 1.788, 2.025, 2.272 and 2.450 MeV, and Eα = 2.049 MeV. The polarization was derived from the left-right asymmetry induced by elastic scattering from 4He. Together with existing measurements of angular distributions and total cross sections for several reaction channels leading to 15N with an excitation energy between 11.5 and 12.5 MeV, these data were used to deduce from R-matrix analysis a set of resonance parameters for the 15N levels in this energy range.  相似文献

The charged-particle reaction channels accessible in the bombardment of 10B targets by 7Li nuclei of 24 MeV incident energy are investigated by measuring all ejectiles up to Be. Except for tritons, the reactions with light ejectiles proceed mainly via the formation of a compound nucleus, whereas some of the reactions with ejectiles heavier than the α-particle can be described by a direct mechanism.  相似文献
