Gamma-gamma directional correlation measurements were made on nine transitions in 124Te with a NaI(Tl)-Ge(Li) detector arrangement and multichannel analysis. The multipole mixing ratios obtained were δ(646) = 0.000±0.001, δ(714) = 1.5−0.3+0.6, δ(723) = −3.3±0.2, δ(1437) = 3.7−2.0+2.7, δ(1489) = −3.4−1.5+0.9, δ(968) = −0.03−0.05+0.06, δ(1368) = −0.045±0.090, δ(1045) = 0.041−0.041+0.047, δ(1691) = −0.02±0.01, and δ(2091) = 0.00−0.03+0.02. The first δ is M3/E2, the next three are E2/M1, and the last five are M2/E1. The retardation (a factor of approximately 50) of the crossover to cascade transitions from the 2039 keV, third 2+ level to the second and first 2+ levels is essentially the same for both the M1 and E2 components. In addition, spin and parity assignments of 2+ were made for the 2039 and 2092 keV levels.  相似文献

Using γ-γ(θ), γ(θ) (nuclear orientation) and ek-γ(θ) directional correlation techniques, we have determined the multipole character of some transitions connecting the quadrupole and octupole quasi-vibrational bands to the ground state quasi-rotational band in 152Gd following the decay of 152Tb. For the γ-γ directional correlation measurements a high-energy resolution system employing a Ge(Li) and a NaI(Tl) detector was used while for the ek-γ correlation we used a NaI(Tl) and magnetic lens spectrometer system. The nuclear orientation measurements were carried out at low temperatures obtained with a 3He-4He dilution refrigerator. The results show that the 2+ → 2+ transition between the β-vibrational and the ground state bands contains ≈ 10% Ml admixture, δ = − 3.05 ± 0.14, and a large E0 contribution while the similar transition from the γ-vibrational band has δ = 4.3 ± 0.7. These results are compared with Kumar's predictions for similar transitions in 152Sm. Three other mixing ratios were also determined.  相似文献

Time-integral and time-differentialγ-γ directional correlation measurements were performed for cascades in168Er populated from the electron-capture decay of168Tm(87d). The168Tm source was dissolved in HF acid to minimize extranuclear perturbations. The results of the time-differential experiment for the 448-99.3 keV and 448-198 keV cascades showed agreement with time dependent interaction and gaveλ 2(1094)=(0.79±0.09) ×107 sec?1. The attenuation factors for the 80 keV level were determined asG 22 (80)=0.90±0.01 and G44(80)=0.94±0.01. OnlyI=4 spin value for the 1094 keV level is consistent with our measurements. The 632, 731, 741, and 816 keV transitions connecting theK=2+ andK = 0+ rotational bands were found to be of almost pureE2 character. The 99.3, 198, 547, 720, 830, and 1277 keV transitions are of practically pureE1 multipolarity. The 448 keVMl transition has (0.8 ?0.4 +2.0 )%E2 admixture. The results for the 1014?80keV cascade give (23±4)%E3 component in the 1014 keV transition.  相似文献

γ-γ directional correlation experiments were performed on 14 cascades in 182W populated from the β? decay of 182Ta(115 d). Two Ge(Li) detectors were used in a coincidence arrangement, and the 182Ta sources were dissolved in HF acid to minimize extranuclear perturbations. For the 1189keV, 2? → 2+ transition, the measured directional correlation coefficients are consistent only with multipole mixing ratios δ(M2E1) = 0.45 ± 0.03 and δ(E3E1) = ?0.67 ± 0.07. These mixing ratios are discussed and compared with the known conversion coefficients for the 1189keV transition. The E2/M1 multipole mixing ratios determined are (energy in keV): δ(66) = 0.15 ± 0.15, δ(85) = 0.31 ± 0.05, δ(114) = 0.31 ± 0.05, 0.56 ≦ δ(179) ≦ 1.36, δ(1121) = 12+2?1, and δ(1231) = ?(32+142?15). The measured M2/E1 mixing ratios are: δ(68) = 0.03 ± 0.02, δ(152) = 0.014 ± 0.013 and δ(156) = ?0.13 ± 0.19.  相似文献

The lower energy γ-rays of 72Ge from the decay of 14 h 72Ga have been studied using a 2 m curved-crystal spectrometer. Mixing ratios for the 601, 630, 894 and 1051 keV transitions were determined from the γ-γ directional correlations. The E0 content of the 630 keV, 2+' → 2+ transition was found to be less than 2%. A spin of 3 for the 2065 keV level has been uniquely determined.  相似文献

Directional-correlation measurements of several cascades in the74As decay have been made with a NaI — Ge(Li) detectors system. In the74Ge the following cascades were measured: 608–596 keV, 994–1,204 keV, 994-(608)-596 keV and 887-596 keV. The corresponding results give a unique spin assignment of 2 for the 2,198 keV level and determine theE2/M 1 mixing ratios ofδ(608)=3.4±0.4 andδ(994)=?(2.8 ± 0.2). In the74Se it was measured the 635-635 keV cascade. The result obtained assigned the spin of the 1,270 keV level as 2 and fixed the E2/M1 mixing ratio of δ(635)=?(2.6 ± 0.2). Also aγ-intensity study has been made to determine the branching ratios of the transitions that deexcite the 1,270 keV level in74Se. From these data aI(635)/I(1,270)=12.5 ± 5.0 is obtained.  相似文献

The reaction175Hf(d, t)175Hf was studied using 12 MeV deuterons from the Florida State University super FN tandem Van de Graaff accelerator. The outgoing tritons were analyzed by means of a Browne-Buechner type broad range magnetic spectrograph. Twenty-four states in175Hf have been identified and fifteen states have been given wave function assignments on the basis of the spectroscopy associated with rotational band structure in deformed odd-A nuclei. TheQ-value for the reaction was measured to be ?1925±8 keV.  相似文献

NewK-isomers with very high spin (up to 57/2) have been found in175Hf. This is the highest spin isomer seen in deformed nuclei and involves 9 quasi-particles. The predominant decay to the I=55/2 state in aK π=35/2?, 5 quasi-particle rotational band further demonstrates the surprising breakdown of theK-selection rules, reported previously in neighbouring nuclei.  相似文献

The decay of166Tm has been investigated with samples obtained by chemical extraction and mass-separation from spallation products of tantalum irradiated with 660 MeV protons. Measurements of gamma rays, - bi-dimensional coincidences, CE- coincidences and internal conversion electrons have been performed. About 300 -transitions have been observed; most of them are placed in a level scheme of166Er. The properties of some rotational and vibrational bands and of some other levels are discussed.The authors express their thanks to A. The low energy gamma-rays from neutron-capture in Lu 175 and Lu 176 have been investigated by means of the bent crystal-spectrometer at the DR-3-reactor at Risø. From the transitions in Lu 177 3 rotational bands have been determined. The levels of the (404)K=7/2+ groundstate rotational band are: 121,62 keV (I=9/2), 268,79keV (I=11/2), 440,66 keV (I=13/2), 636,22 keV (I=15/2), 854,34 keV (I=17/2). The level-sequence of the (514)K=9/2?-band is: 150,39 keV (I=9/2), 288,99 keV (I=11/2), 451,49 keV (I=13/2), 637,05 keV (I=15/2) and 844,88 keV (I=17/2). At 457,92 keV is the basis for the (402)K=5/2+-band the higher levels of which are 552,05 keV (I=7/2), 671,89 keV (I=9/2), 816,63 keV (I=11/2), 985,23 keV (I=13/2), 1176,73keV (I=15/2) and probably 1389,5 keV (I=17/2). The energies of the levels apart from the 1389 keV-level have an accuracy of 7×10?5. The energy differences between the 3 bands agree very well with the values expected from the Bohr-Mottelson-formulaE=A·I(I+1)+B·I 2(I+1)2. The calculated branching-ratios within the 3 bands are in fairly good agreement with the experimental values. Theg K -factors have been determined for 2 bands: It was found that for the (514)-bandg K =1,16±0,04 and for the (402)-bandg K =1,33±0,07.  相似文献

The excited level scheme of189Os as populated by the decay of 23.4-h189Re has been studied by use of Ge(Li) and Si(Li) detectors in the γ-ray singles and coincidence mode. The data confirm the presence of excited levels in189Os at 30.8 (J π=9/2?), 36.2 (1/2?), 69.5 (5/2?), 95.2 (3/2?), 216.7 (7/2?), 219.4 (7/2?), 233.6 (3/2?), 275.8 (5/2?), 496.8 (1/2?, 3/2+) and 599.8 (1/2?, 3/2+) keV. The spin and parity assignments are based on multipolarities determined by internal conversion coefficient measurements and decay systematics. A decay scheme is established for189Re which accommodates 98% of the electromagnetic transition intensity. No evidence for the 150-d189Re isomer was found in this study.  相似文献

The effective quadrupole moments Qeff of the nuclei of 165Ho, 175Lu, 176Lu, 179Hf and 181Ta were accurately measured by detecting the pionic atom 5g-4f X-rays of the elements. The spectroscopic quadropole moments, Qspec, were obtained by correcting Qeff for nuclear finite size effect, distortion of the pion wave function by the pion-nucleus strong interaction, and contribution to the energy level splittings by the strong interaction. The intrinsic quadrupole moments, Q0, were obtained by projecting Qspec into the frame of reference fixed on the nucleus. The shift, ε0, and broadening, Γ0, of the 4f energy level due to the strong interaction between the pion and the nucleons for all the elements were also measured. Theoretical values of ε0 and Γ0 were calculated and compared to the experimental values. The measured values of Q0 were compared with existing results in muonic and pionic atoms. The measured values of ε0 and Γ0 were also compared with existing values.  相似文献

Theγ-rays emitted in theβ-decay of182Ta have been reinvestigated with improved statistics in attempting to clarify the reported new levels at 1460.41, 1592.98, 1620.36, 1712.29 and 1762.91 keV in182W observed in theβ-decay of182Ta. The present study demonstrated that the fifteen newγ-rays, which were used to support the existence of the five new levels, are not relevant to theγ-decay of182Ta. Therefore the five new levels are not populated in this decay. Additionally, theγ-ray with an energy of 1035.6 keV (0 2 + →2 1 + ) deexciting theβ-band head in182W is observed for the first time in the present decay study and the previous tentative placement of the 351.0 keVγ-ray in the level scheme is confirmed by the present coincidence measurements.  相似文献

The levels in124Te have been investigated by studying the gamma rays emitted following the decay of 60d124Sb. Gamma-gamma coincidence spectra have been taken with gates set at 603, 646, 709, 714 and 723 keV gamma rays by using 105 cm3 Ge(Li)-110 cm3 HPGe coincidence system. 69 gamma rays have been observed and nine of them are reported for the first time. Four new levels in124Te at 2512, 2550.2, 2808 and 2814.5 keV are proposed. Levels reported in literatures at 2412 and 2733 keV are excluded from the level scheme of124Te based on the present study. The experimentally determined energy spectrum of low-lying positive parity states, B(E2) ratios and electric quadrupole moment of the first excited state are compared with the IBM-1 predictions.  相似文献

Theγ-rays following the radioactive decay of160Lu into160Yb have been studied. The Lu source was produced in the144Sm(19F, 3n) reaction at 85 MeV. Excitation functions, half-lives,γ-γ andγ-X-ray coincidences and conversion electrons were measured. Twoβ + decaying states in160Lu were found with half-lives of 36.2(3) s and 40(1) s.160Yb levels deduced from the decay of160Lu are presented.  相似文献

Nuclear magnetic resonance of175Hf oriented at low temperature in iron has been observed with a sample prepared by ion implantation. The centre frequency of the broad resonance line isv L (B ext = 0)=138.53(36)MHz. Possible origins of the large inhomogeneous line width of FWHM=11.0(1.1) MHz are discussed. A comparison with model calculations for combined magnetic and electric hyperfine interaction indicates that the centre frequency may be interpreted as the magnetic interaction frequency for175Hf in unperturbed substitutional sites of the host iron. With theg-factor of175Hf from literature the magnetic hyperfine field of Hf in Fe is derived asB hf=?64.9(9.3) T fitting well into systematics.  相似文献

The γ-rays following the β-decay of 82Br have been investigated using a 220 mm3 Ge(Li) detector, an anti-Compton NaI(Tl) spectrometer and a two-dimensional coincidence arrangement. The 82Br was produced by thermal neutron activation of ammonium bromide. The presence of eight, well-known and 11 weak γ-rays has been established. It has been shown through half-life measurements that the newly identified γ-rays belong to 82Br decay and that the high-energy peaks are not to summing effects. All the reported transitions have been incorporated in a level scheme of 82Kr by introducing levels at 0, 776, 1474, 1820, 1953, 2093, 2426, 2554, 2647 and 2828 keV. Limits on probable spin and parity values for the newly-introduced levels have been established. The level introduced at 2828 keV on the basis of a 1008–1043 keV γγ-coincidence must be fed by a weak β-branch of 82Br with an end-point energy of 263 keV and log ft of approximately 6.1.  相似文献
