Hom-structures (Lie algebras, algebras, coalgebras, Hopf algebras) have been investigated in the literature recently. We study Hom-structures from the point of view of monoidal categories; in particular, we introduce a symmetric monoidal category such that Hom-algebras coincide with algebras in this monoidal category, and similar properties for coalgebras, Hopf algebras, and Lie algebras.  相似文献

Majid in [14] and Bespalov in [2] obtain a braided interpretation of Radford’s theorem about Hopf algebras with projection ([19]). In this paper we introduce the notion of H-cleft comodule (module) algebras (coalgebras) for a Hopf algebra H in a braided monoidal category, and we characterize it as crossed products (coproducts). This allows us give very short proofs for know results in our context, and to introduce others stated for the category of R-modules about of Hopf algebra extensions. In particular we give a proof of the result by Bespalov [2] for a braided monoidal category with co(equalizers).  相似文献

We consider quasitriangular Hopf algebras in braided tensor categories introduced by Majid. It is known that a quasitriangular Hopf algebra H in a braided monoidal category C induces a braiding in a full monoidal subcategory of the category of H-modules in C. Within this subcategory, a braided version of the bosonization theorem with respect to the category C will be proved. An example of braided monoidal categories with quasitriangular structure deviating from the ordinary case of symmetric tensor categories of vector spaces is provided by certain braided supersymmetric tensor categories. Braided inhomogeneous quantum groups like the dilaton free q-Poincaré group are explicit applications.Supported in part by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) through a research fellowship.  相似文献

In this paper we study the projections of weak braided Hopf algebras using the notion of Yetter-Drinfeld module associated with a weak braided Hopf algebra. As a consequence, we complete the study ofthe structure of weak Hopf algebras with a projection in a braiding setting obtaining a categorical equivalencebetween the category of weak Hopf algebra projections associated with a weak Hopf algebra H living in abraided monoidal category and the category of Hopf algebras in the non-strict braided monoidal cate...  相似文献

Hopf Categories
We introduce Hopf categories enriched over braided monoidal categories. The notion is linked to several recently developed notions in Hopf algebra theory, such as Hopf group (co)algebras, weak Hopf algebras and duoidal categories. We generalize the fundamental theorem for Hopf modules and some of its applications to Hopf categories.  相似文献

Let R be a k-algebra, and a monoidal category. Assume given the structure of a -category on the category of left R-modules; that is, the monoidal category is assumed to act on the category by a coherently associative bifunctor . We assume that this bifunctor is right exact in its right argument. In this setup we show that every algebra A (respectively coalgebra C) in gives rise to an R-ring AR (respectively an R-coring CR) whose modules (respectively comodules) are the A-modules (respectively C-comodules) within the category . We show that this very general scheme for constructing (co)associative (co)rings gives conceptual explanations for the double of a quasi-Hopf algebra as well as certain doubles of Hopf algebras in braided categories, each time avoiding ad hoc computations showing associativity.  相似文献

The main aim of this paper is to study the twisting theory of weak Hopf algebras and give an equivalence between the (braided) monoidal categories of weak Hopf bimodules over the original and the twisted weak Hopf algebra to generalize the result from Oeckl (2000).  相似文献

We discuss properties of Yetter-Drinfeld modules over weak bialgebras over commutative rings. The categories of left-left, left-right, right-left and right-right Yetter-Drinfeld modules over a weak Hopf algebra are isomorphic as braided monoidal categories. Yetter-Drinfeld modules can be viewed as weak Doi-Hopf modules, and, a fortiori, as weak entwined modules. IfH is finitely generated and projective, then we introduce the Drinfeld double using duality results between entwining structures and smash product structures, and show that the category of Yetter-Drinfeld modules is isomorphic to the category of modules over the Drinfeld double. The category of finitely generated projective Yetter-Drinfeld modules over a weak Hopf algebra has duality.  相似文献

In this article, we define the notion of Brauer-Clifford group for H-locally finite (S, H)-Azumaya algebras, when H is a cocommutative Hopf algebra and S is an H-locally finite commutative H-module algebra over a commutative noetherian ring k. This is the situation that arises in applications with connections to algebraic geometry. This Brauer-Clifford group turns out to be an example of a Brauer group of a symmetric monoidal category.  相似文献

This article is the sequel to (Marcolli and Tabuada in Sel Math 20(1):315–358, 2014). We start by developing a theory of noncommutative (=NC) mixed motives with coefficients in any commutative ring. In particular, we construct a symmetric monoidal triangulated category of NC mixed motives, over a base field k, and a full subcategory of NC mixed Artin motives. Making use of Hochschild homology, we then apply Ayoub’s weak Tannakian formalism to these motivic categories. In the case of NC mixed motives, we obtain a motivic Hopf dg algebra, which we describe explicitly in terms of Hochschild homology and complexes of exact cubes. In the case of NC mixed Artin motives, we compute the associated Hopf dg algebra using solely the classical category of mixed Artin–Tate motives. Finally, we establish a short exact sequence relating the Hopf algebra of continuous functions on the absolute Galois group with the motivic Hopf dg algebras of the base field k and of its algebraic closure. Along the way, we describe the behavior of Ayoub’s weak Tannakian formalism with respect to orbit categories and relate the category of NC mixed motives with Voevodsky’s category of mixed motives.  相似文献

Weak bimonoids in duoidal categories are introduced. They provide a common generalization of bimonoids in duoidal categories and of weak bimonoids in braided monoidal categories. Under the assumption that idempotent morphisms in the base category split, they are shown to induce weak bimonads (in four symmetric ways). As a consequence, they have four separable Frobenius base (co)monoids, two in each of the underlying monoidal categories. Hopf modules over weak bimonoids are defined by weakly lifting the induced comonad to the Eilenberg–Moore category of the induced monad. Making appropriate assumptions on the duoidal category in question, the fundamental theorem of Hopf modules is proven which says that the category of modules over one of the base monoids is equivalent to the category of Hopf modules if and only if a Galois-type comonad morphism is an isomorphism.  相似文献

We extend the Larson–Sweedler theorem [Amer. J. Math. 91 (1969) 75] to weak Hopf algebras by proving that a finite dimensional weak bialgebra is a weak Hopf algebra iff it possesses a non-degenerate left integral. We show that the category of modules over a weak Hopf algebra is autonomous monoidal with semisimple unit and invertible modules. We also reveal the connection of invertible modules to left and right grouplike elements in the dual weak Hopf algebra. Defining distinguished left and right grouplike elements, we derive the Radford formula [Amer. J. Math. 98 (1976) 333] for the fourth power of the antipode in a weak Hopf algebra and prove that the order of the antipode is finite up to an inner automorphism by a grouplike element in the trivial subalgebra AT of the underlying weak Hopf algebra A.  相似文献

Algebras and coalgebras are fundamental notions for large parts of mathematics. The basic constructions from universal algebra are now expressed in the language of categories and thus are accessible to classical algebraists and topologists as well as to logicians and computer scientists. Some of them have developed specialised parts of the theory and often reinvented constructions already known in a neighbouring area. One purpose of this survey is to show the connection between results from different fields and to trace a number of them back to some fundamental papers in category theory from the early 1970s. Another intention is to look at the interplay between algebraic and coalgebraic notions. Hopf algebras are one of the most interesting objects in this setting. While knowledge of algebras and coalgebras are folklore in general category theory, the notion of Hopf algebras is usually only considered for monoidal categories. In the course of the text we do suggest how to overcome this defect by defining a Hopf monad on an arbitrary category as a monad and comonad satisfying some compatibility conditions and inducing an equivalence between the base category and the category of the associated bimodules. For a set G, the endofunctor G× – on the category of sets shares these properties if and only if G admits a group structure. Finally, we report about the possibility of subsuming algebras and coalgebras in the notion of ( F , G )-dimodules associated to two functors between different categories. This observation, due to Tatsuya Hagino, was an outcome from the theory of categorical data types and may also be of use in classical algebra.   相似文献

Let H be a Hopf algebra in a rigid symmetric monoidal category C then the evaluation map τis a convolution-invertible skew pairing. In the previous paper, we constructed a Hopf algebra D(H)=H ? r H ?cop in C. In this paper, we first show that D(H) is a quasitriangular Hopf algebra in C. Next, let H be an ordinary triangular finite-dimensional Hopf algebra. Then one can form quasitriangular Hopf algebras B(H,H) and B(H,D(H)) (in a rigid braided monoidal category) by Majid’s method associated to the ordinary Hopf algebra maps HH and iH HD(H), where D(H) is the Drin-fePd quantum double. We show that D (B(H,H)) and B(H,D(H)) are isomorphic Hopf algebras in the braided monoidal category.  相似文献

In this paper, we interpret Massey products in terms of realizations (twitsting cochains) of certain differential graded coalgebras with values in differential graded algebras. In the case where the target algebra is the cobar construction of a differential graded commutative Hopf algebra, we construct the tensor product of realizations and show that the tensor product is strictly associative, and commutative up to homotopy.  相似文献

Two Hopf algebras are called monoidally Morita equivalent if module categories over them are equivalent as linear monoidal categories. We introduce monoidal Morita invariants for finite-dimensional Hopf algebras based on certain braid group representations arising from the Drinfeld double construction. As an application, we show, for any integer n, the number of elements of order n is a monoidal Morita invariant for finite group algebras. We also describe relations between our construction and invariants of closed 3-manifolds due to Reshetikhin and Turaev.  相似文献

We show that Turaev's group-coalgebras and Hopf group-coalgebras are coalgebras and Hopf algebras in a symmetric monoidal category, which we call the Turaev category. A similar result holds for group-algebras and Hopf group-algebras. As an application, we give an alternative approach to Virelizier's version of the Fundamental Theorem for Hopf algebras. We introduce Yetter–Drinfeld modules over Hopf group-coalgebras using the center construction.  相似文献

Abstract

Dickson’s commutative semifields are an important class of finite division algebras. We generalize Dickson’s construction over any base field by doubling not just finite field extensions (which would correspond to the classical setup), but also central simple algebras. The latter case yields division algebras which are no longer commutative nor associative. We compute their automorphisms.  相似文献

We investigate cofree coalgebras, and limits and colimits of coalgebras in some abelian monoidal categories of interest, such as bimodules over a ring, and modules and comodules over a bialgebra or Hopf algebra. We find concrete generators for the categories of coalgebras in these monoidal categories, and explicitly construct cofree coalgebras, products and limits of coalgebras in each case. This answers an open question in Agore (Proc Am Math Soc 139:855–863, 2011) on the existence of a cofree coring, and constructs the cofree (co)module coalgebra on a B-(co)module, for a bialgebra B.  相似文献
