Die Temperaturabhängigkeit der magnetischen Suszeptibilität einiger Elementdipyridyle

The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility and the EPR were investigated on 12 element dipyridyls. The magnetism of the main group compounds and of ScDipy₃ depends strongly on the temperature, owing to spin interaction of radical anions. The temperature dependence is less marked in other transition metal compounds. It is attempted to explain the dependence by means of the LCAO–MO theory.     

Einkristallstudien zur Temperaturabhängigkeit der Kristallstruktur von α-Na3Hg

Temperature Dependent Single Crystal Investigations of α-Na₃Hg In contrast to β-Na₃Hg (rhomboedrally distorted Li₃Bi-type) α-Na₃Hg crystallizes in a hitherto poorly understood variant of the Na₃As-type. Based on temperature dependent measurements of poly- and single crystalline samples (?100°C < T < +35°C) we show, that in particular the sodium atoms (Na1) located in the region of the octahedral Hg₆-holes show a pronounced temperature dependent dynamical behaviour. To a lesser extend this is also true for the tetrahedrally coordinated Na-atoms (Na2). With increasing temperature the former ones more and more approach the centers of the opposite triangular faces of mercury atoms, limiting the Hg₆-octahedra along [001]. Occupation of the latter positions by sodium atoms would lead to unusual short interatomic distances d_{Na? Hg}. However before reaching this unreasonable situation α-Na₃Hg decomposes under formation of β-Na₃Hg.     

Temperaturabhängigkeit der Ultraviolett-Spektren von H2O2 und von HO2-Radikalen

The absorption spectra of H₂O₂ and of HO₂ radicals have been investigated in shock waves at 1950 ? λ ? 2900 Å and temperatures of 650 and 1100 K. By comparison with room temperature experiments, information on the nature of electronic transitions involved may be obtained.
