We construct an asymptotic formula for a sum function for a (), where a () is the sum of the ath powers of the norms of divisors of the Gaussian integer on an arithmetic progression 0 (mod ) and in a narrow sector 1 arg < 2. For this purpose, we use a representation of a (n) in the form of a series in the Ramanujan sums.  相似文献

This paper discusses -admissiblility and d-admissiblity which are important concepts in studying the performance of statistical tests for composite hypotheses. A sufficient condition for -admissibility is presented. When =1/m, the Nomakuchi-Sakata test, which is uniformly more powerful than the likelihood ratio test for hypotheses min (1, 1) = 0 versus min (1, 1) > 0, is generalized for a class of distributions in an exponential family, and its unbiasedness and -admissibility are shown. Finally, the case of 1/m is discussed in brief.  相似文献

Each ordinal equipped with the upper topology is a T 0-space. It is well known that for =2 the reflective hull of in Top0 is the subcategory of sober spaces. Here, we define -sober space for each 2 in such a way that the reflective hull of in Top0 is the subcategory of -sober spaces. Moreover, we obtain an order-preserving bijective correspondence between a proper class of ordinals and the corresponding (epi)reflective hulls. Summary The aim of this paper is to generalize the well-known Eulerian numbers, defined by the recursion relationE(n, k) = (k + 1)E(n – 1, k) + (n – k)E(n – 1, k – 1), to the case thatn is replaced by . It is shown that these Eulerian functionsE(, k), which can also be defined in terms of a generating function, can be represented as a certain sum, as a determinant, or as a fractional Weyl integral. TheE(, k) satisfy recursion formulae, they are monotone ink and, as functions of , are arbitrarily often differentiable. Further, connections with the fractional Stirling numbers of second kind, theS(, k), > 0, introduced by the authors (1989), are discussed. Finally, a certain counterpart of the famous Worpitzky formula is given; it is essentially an approximation ofx in terms of a sum involving theE(, k) and a hypergeometric function.Dedicated to the memory of Alexander M. We consider linear integral equations and Urysohn equations with constant integration limits. Sufficient conditions are given for the solutions of these equations to be in Sobolev spacesW 2 (0,1), 0 2. Finite-difference schemes are constructed for approximate solution of the original equation by special averaging of the right-hand side kernel. In this note we shall prove that there exist infinitely many cyclic biquadratic fieldsK whose integral bases are neither {1, , 2, } nor {1, , , 3) for any numbers , inK. Next, we shall construct infinitely many cyclic biquadratic fieldsK which have the index 1, but still have not the integral basis {1, , 2, 3) for every inK. Summary The partial differential fields most suited for the purpose of construction of Galois theory for the family (1) are endowed with the symmetric bilinear form (2iv) and are called -differential fields. In Section 1 are defined certain algebraic notions related to the symmetric bilinear form (2iv) and which are necessary for the construction of any Galois theory. Necessary and sufficient condition for the extension of the domain of the operator (this operator is not a derivation although it commutes with the partial derivations of the -differential field) from an -differential fieldK to a finitely generated -differential extension field is given in Theorem 1.Section 2 defines the notion of -differential mapping as linear mappings which preserve the symmetric bilinear form and commute with the partial derivations. The group properties of the set of -differential mappings are discussed and the Galois correspondence theorems set up for -differential fields.Section 3 sets up the notion of -Liouvillian extensions of -differential fields and briefly discusses the Galois groups associated with these -Liouvillian extension fields.Section 4 points to the procedure for the algebraic characterization of -simple--differential field extensions by elementary solutions of the partial differential equation m =0.  相似文献

It is proved that ifp,q 1 and 1 <pq < 1 + 2 max(p + ,q + )/n then every nontrivial non-negative solution is not global in time; whereaspq > 1 + 2 max(p + , q + )/n then there exist both positive global solutions and non-global solutions. In addition, the decaying in time of solutions tou t,=u inR n × (0, ), an equation which occurs naturally in our study of above systems, is studied and solutions with the fastest decaying in time are constructed.  相似文献

Until now [see Kahane;(19) Holley and Waymire;(16) Falconer;(14) Olsen;(29) Molchan;(28) Arbeiter and Patzschke;(1) and Barral(3)] one determines the multifractal spectrum of a statistically self-similar positive measure of the type introduced, in particular by Mandelbrot,(26, 27) only in the following way: let be such a measure, for example on the boundary of a c-ary tree equipped with the standard ultrametric distance; for 0, denote by E the set of the points where possesses a local Hölder exponent equal to , and dim E the Hausdorff dimension of E ; then, there exists a deterministic open interval I *+ and a function f: I *+ such that for all in I, with probability one, dim E =f(). This statement is not completely satisfactory. Indeed, the main result in this paper is: with probability one, for all I, dim E =f(). This holds also for a new type of statistically self-similar measures deduced from a result recently obtained by Liu.(22) We also study another problem left open in the previous works on the subject: if =inf(I) or =sup(I), one does not know whether E is empty or not. Every polygon can be dissected into acute triangles. In this paper we prove that every polygon, such that the interior angles are at least /5, can be dissected into triangles with interior angles all less than or equal to 2/5. We find necessary conditions on the interior angles of the polygon in order to obtain a dissection into triangles with interior angles all (where /3<<2/5). We develop a method for extending results about ultrafilters into a more general setting. In this paper we shall be mainly concerned with applications to cardinality logics. For example, assumingV=L, Gödel's Axiom of Constructibility, we prove that if > then the logic with the quantifier there exist many is (,)-compact if and only if either is weakly compact or is singular of cofinality<. As a corollary, for every infinite cardinals and , there exists a (,)-compact non-(,)-compact logic if and only if either < orcf<cf or < is weakly compact.Counterexamples are given showing that the above statements may fail, ifV=L is not assumed.However, without special assumptions, analogous results are obtained for the stronger notion of [,]-compactness.  相似文献

The distribution F () = 1 – E (–), 0 < 1; 0 , where E (x) is the Mittag-Leffler function is studied here with respect to its Laplace transform. Its infinite divisibility and geometric infinite divisibility are proved, along with many other properties. Its relation with stable distribution is established. We prove the existence and non-existence of ground state for various combination of , and .
