In connection with the parameters of the optical configuration used to produce speckles and under illumination of a Gaussian beam over a moving diffuse object, this paper discusses the statistical properties of dynamic speckles produced in the diffraction and image fields by the diffuse object moving in a plane with constant velocity. Especially, the space-time correlation function of the dynamic speckle intensity is examined in detail. Two typical speckle motions of translation and boiling are interpreted for various optical configurations in the diffraction and image fields. As one of the interesting applications of dynamic speckles to metrology, various methods for velocity measurements of the diffuse object are introduced.  相似文献

对超声入射至分布有细小凹坑的界平面,这一类弱散射界面背向散射所形成的超声散斑的一阶统计特性进行了研究.在假设条件下,理论分析的结果表明,空间超声散斑的振幅服从Rice分布,而它们的相位概率密度函数是一个包含Gauss分布函数和Gauss概率积分函数的复合函数.当细孔密度非常大时,超声散斑的振幅就趋于Rayleigh分布.应用作者建立的由计算机控制扫描的实验系统,对这一类弱散射界面反射超声散斑的振幅分布进行了测量.实验结果表明,理论分析的结果是正确的,由此,所作的假设条件也是成立的. 关键词: 弱散射 超声散斑 统计特性  相似文献

以散射、干涉及衍射为依据,对动态散斑及多普勒效应成因进行了分析,研究两种物理效应的理论基础及相互关系,用实验方法说明散射及动态散斑间的内在联系,进一步通过分析物体表面散射元数目对两种物理效应的约束能力来佐证两种物理效应的关联性。通过分析得出,在激光多普勒条件下,两种物理效应在本质上具有一致性,多谱勒效应能造成散射光强度振荡,这种强度振荡与动态散斑场的强度起伏密切相关。  相似文献

We present an analysis of statistical properties of dynamic speckles to estimate the limiting accuracy of measurements achievable in a distance sensor using spatially filtered dynamic speckles. The main reason for inaccurate measurements using dynamic speckles is their stochastic nature. It is shown that the average lifetime of dynamic speckles is the key factor defining the measurement accuracy. Main conclusions of the theoretical analysis were confirmed in an experiment carried out with a fast moving rough surface. Special attention is paid to a recently proposed range sensor using dynamic speckles generated by a fast-deflecting laser beam. It is shown that this sensor possesses the best combination of accuracy and response time.  相似文献

激光照射到粗糙物体的表面会形成激光散斑,散斑随物体的运动而运动,特别是物体在自身平面内运动时散斑的同步运动比较显著,因此可以用这一现象测物体的微小位移,散斑运动规律与照明光束的特性有关,本文通过实验研究了不同光束照明下散斑位移的规律,验证了散斑位移理论,并指出散斑位移测量中应注意的问题。  相似文献

The relation between the velocity of a moving diffuse object and the mean number of integrated speckles in the certain time interval at the far-field plane of the object is obtained. By using this relation based on the first order statistics of integrated speckles, a new method of measuring the velocity of the diffuse object is proposed and experimentally verified. A speckle photography technique has been applied to measuring the velocity profiles of laminar and turbulent flow through pipes of circular cross-section. A single exposure photography technique has been used to visualize slow fluid flow. The fluids used were seeded with tracer particles whose size range from 20 to about 120 μm in diameter. A mathematical expression representing the recorded intensity is presented. A single exposure with a long exposure time was taken on a holographic film material. The recorded intensity was represented by the convolution product of the image formed and a rectangular function representing a one-dimensional continuous motion. The analysis shows that the intensity distribution of the Fourier spectrum of the diffracted image follows a sinc2 function on a noise background representing the scattered light of the tracer particles.  相似文献

汤姆逊散射是诊断高温稠密等离子体状态参数的重要方法之一, 受到广泛的关注. 但是目前用于进行汤姆逊散射的探针光波长多局限于可见光或紫外光, 能够诊断的区域电子密度远低于驱动激光的临界密度. 相比较而言, 以软X射线激光作为探针, 有希望诊断更高密度区域的等离子体. 利用“神光Ⅱ”高功率激光装置产生的类氖锗软X射线激光作为探针, 开展了软X射线激光汤姆逊散射实验的尝试. 根据散射的条件, 分别进行了非相干散射和相干散射的实验, 但均未能获得明显的散射谱. 理论分析表明, 主要原因可能是实验中作为探针的类氖锗软 X射线激光的聚焦功率密度不够, 通过优化实验条件, 有希望在今后的研究中获得相干汤姆逊散射的结果. 关键词: 等离子体诊断 软X 射线激光 汤姆逊散射  相似文献

Measurements of the electron density within an axial CO2 laser discharge subjected to a transverse rotating magnetic field are presented. Experiments were performed with a single Langmuir probe. Electron density is evaluated using Su and lam's thick sheath expression for a stationary plasma. Results are presented for a 2.7 kPa (20 torr) discharge with external pre-ionization and for a 0.7 kPa (5 torr) self-sustained discharge.  相似文献

In the present paper the requirements for optical parameter characterization of absorbing materials located within a highly scattering medium has been addressed. The measurement scheme incorporates the optoacoustic technique where a single acoustic transducer is used to detect ultrasonic transients generated from laser irradiation. The absorbing medium is based on different concentrations of spherical gold nanoparticles (SGNP’s), these are currently being considered as non-toxic targeted optical contrast agents for both medical imaging and cancer therapeutics. In this paper we present results which demonstrate the two main advantages the optoacoustic technique has over other measurement schemes. These are the possibility to obtain information on the position and dimensions of absorbing bodies using a time of flight analysis (TOF) and secondly, the higher sensitivity of the optoacoustics compared to optical transmission techniques. The former advantage is of particular interest for imaging applications and the latter for detection and characterization of absorbing materials surrounded by high levels of high scattering mediums. We present for the first time the characterization of SGNP within a highly scattering medium. To further demonstrate the feasibility of the optoacoustic technique, the scattering coefficient of the surrounding medium has also been characterized.  相似文献

Electromagnetic(EM) scattering from a stack of two rough interfaces separating a homogeneous medium with a perfectly electric conducting(PEC) object has been calculated through the method of moments for vertical polarization.Theoretical formulations of EM scattering from multi-layered rough interfaces with a PEC object have been derived in detail and the total fields and their normal derivatives on the rough interfaces are solved.The two-layered model is a special case.In this work,a Gaussian rough surface was applied to simulate the rough interface.A cylinder was located above,between or below the two-layered rough interfaces.Through numerical simulations,the validity of this work is demonstrated by comparing it with existing scattering models,which are special cases that include a PEC object located above/below a single-layered rough interface and two-layered rough interfaces without an object.Subsequently,the influences of characteristic parameters,such as the relative permittivity of the medium,as well as the average height between the two rough surfaces,on the bistatic scattering coefficient are discussed.  相似文献

The spatially-temporal model of an all-solid-state passively Q-switched oscillator with an active medium providing the stimulated Raman scattering is presented. The model does not presume a Gaussian shape of the cylindrically symmetric modes at both fundamental and Stokes wavelengths. It is found, that the highly-nontrivial spatially-temporal dynamics can be regularized by an optimal choice of oscillator parameters, viz. initial transmission of a saturable absorber, curvature of a spherical mirror, and output mirror transmission at the fundamental and Stokes wavelengths. As a result, the pulse can be substantially temporally squeezed and spatially broadened at both fundamental and Stokes wavelengths.  相似文献

Laser-induced fluorescence measurements of velocity within a Hall discharge   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The results of a study of laser-induced fluorescence velocimetry of neutral and singly ionized xenon in the plume and interior portions of the acceleration channel of a Hall thruster plasma discharge operating at powers ranging from 250 to 725 W are described. Axial ion and neutral velocity profiles for four discharge voltage conditions (100 V, 160 V, 200 V, 250 V) are measured as are radial ion velocity profiles in the near-field plume. Ion velocity measurements of axial velocity both inside and outside the thruster as well as radial velocity measurements outside the thruster are performed using laser-induced fluorescence with nonresonant signal detection on the xenon ion 5d[4]7/2–6p[3]5/2 excitation transition while monitoring the signal from the 6s[2]3/2–6p[3]5/2transition. Neutral axial velocity measurements are similarly performed in the interior of the Hall thruster using the 6s[3/2]0 2–6p[3/2]2transition with resonance fluorescence collection. Optical access to the interior of the Hall thruster is provided by a 1-mm-wide axial slot in the insulator outer wall. While the majority of the ion velocity measurements used partially saturated fluorescence to improve the signal-to-noise ratio, one radial trace of the ion transition was taken in the linear fluorescence region and yields a xenon ion translational temperature between 400 and 800 K at a location 13 mm into the plume. A transmission system has been designed to produce a high intensity (100 W) and high quality (well-collimated and high purity) beam in the submillimeter wave range (f=354 GHz). Calculations using the Huygens equation for scalar diffraction show that this system can produce a high quality beam. The final goal is to apply it to scattering measurements of density fluctuations driven by instability and wave propagation during ion cyclotron resonance heating in the Compact Helical System (CHS) in the National Institute for Fusion Science at Nagoya. It will provide a high S/N ratio and high spatial and wave number resolution.  相似文献
