On Grassmannian description of the constrained KP hierarchy

This note develops an explicit construction of the constrained KP hierarchy within the Sato Grassmannian framework. Useful relations are established between the kernel elements of the underlying ordinary differential operator and the eigenfunctions of the associated KP hierarchy as well as between the related bilinear concomitant and the squared eigenfunction potential.     

Algebraic identities associated with KP and AKNS hierarchies

Explicit KP and AKNS hierarchy equations can be constructed from a certain set of algebraic identities involving a quasi-shuffle product. Presented at the International Colloquium “Integrable Systems and Quantum Symmetries”, Prague, 16–18 June 2005.     

Recursion Operators for Dispersionless KP Hierarchy

Based on the corresponding theorem between dispersionless KP(dKP)hierarchy and -dependent KP ( KP) hierarchy, a general formal representation of the recursion operators for dKP hierarchy under n-reduction is given in a systematical way from the corresponding KP hierarchy. To illustrate this method, the recursion operators for dKP hierarchy under 2-reduction and 3-reduction are calculated in detail.     

Modified KP and Discrete KP

The discrete KP, or l-Toda lattice hierarchy, is the same as a properly defined modified KP hierarchy.     

On generalized Lax equation of the Lax triple of KP Hierarchy

In terms of the operator Nambu 3-bracket and the Lax pair (L, B_n) of the KP hierarchy, we propose the generalized Lax equation with respect to the Lax triple (L, B_n, B_m). The intriguing results are that we derive the KP equation and another integrable equation in the KP hierarchy from the generalized Lax equation with the different Lax triples (L, B_n, B_m). Furthermore we derive some no integrable evolution equations and present their single soliton solutions.     

The Virasoro action on the tau function for the constrained discrete KP hierarchy

With the help of the squared eigenfunction potential, the action of the Virasoro symmetry on the tau function of the constrained discrete KP hierarchy is derived.     

The multi-component Tu hierarchy of soliton equations and its multi-component integrable couplings system

A new simple loop algebra GM is constructed, which is devoted to the establishing of an isospectral problem. By making use of the Tu scheme, the multi-component Tu hierarchy is obtained.Furthermore, an expanding loop algebra FM of the loop algebra GM is presented. Based on the FM, the multi-component integrable coupling system of the multi-component Tu hierarchy has been worked out. The method can be applied to other nonlinear evolution equation hierarchies.

On rational solutions of multicomponent and matrix KP hierarchies

We derive some rational solutions for the multicomponent and matrix KP hierarchies generalising an approach by Wilson. Connections with the multicomponent version of the KP/CM correspondence are discussed.     

Symmetries and symmetry reductions of the combined KP3 and KP4 equation

To find symmetries,symmetry groups and group invariant solutions are fundamental and significant in nonlinear physics.In this paper,the finite point symmetry group of the combined KP3 and KP4(CKP34) equation is found by means of a direct method.The related point symmetries can be obtained simply by taking the infinitesimal form of the finite point symmetry group.The point symmetries of the CKP34 equation constitute an infinite dimensional KacMoody-Virasoro algebra.The point symmetry invariant so...     

A type of multi-component integrable hierarchy

A new isospectral problem is established by constructing a simple interesting loop algebra. A commutation operation of the loop algebra is as straightforward as the loop algebra ?_1. It follows that a type of multi-component integrable hierarchy is obtained. This can be used as a general method.     

Spin Calogero Particles and Bispectral Solutions of the Matrix KP Hierarchy

Pairs of n×n matrices whose commutator differ from the identity by a matrix of rank r are used to construct bispectral differential operators with r×r matrix coefficients satisfying the Lax equations of the Matrix KP hierarchy. Moreover, the bispectral involution on these operators has dynamical significance for the spin Calogero particles system whose phase space such pairs represent. In the case r = 1, this reproduces well-known results of Wilson and others from the 1990’s relating (spinless) Calogero-Moser systems to the bispectrality of (scalar) differential operators.      

Extended Discrete KP Hierarchy and its Reductions from a Geometric Viewpoint

We interpret the recently suggested extended discrete KP (Toda lattice) hierarchy from a geometrical point of view. We show that the latter corresponds to the union of invariant submanifolds S ₀ ⁿ of the system which is a chain of infinitely many copies of Darboux–KP hierarchy, while the intersections yields a number of reduction s to l-field lattices.     

The gauge transformation of the q-deformed modified KP hierarchy

In this paper, we mainly study three types of gauge transformation operators for the q-mKP hierarchy. The successive applications of these gauge transformation operators are derived. And the corresponding communities between them are also investigated.     

Darboux Coverings and Rational Reductions of the KP Hierarchy

We use the method of Darboux coverings to discuss the invariant submanifolds of the KP equations presented as conservation laws in the space of monic Laurent series in the spectral parameter (the space of the Hamiltonian densities). We identify a special class of these submanifolds with the rational invariant submanifolds entering matrix models of two-dimensional gravity recently characterized by Dickey and Krichever. Four examples of the general procedure are provided.     

Multi-component Dirac equation hierarchy and its multi-component integrable couplings system

A general scheme for generating a multi-component integrable equation hierarchy is proposed. A simple 3M-dimensional loop algebra \tilde{X} is produced. By taking advantage of \tilde{X}, a new isospectral problem is established and then by making use of the Tu scheme the multi-component Dirac equation hierarchy is obtained. Finally, an expanding loop algebra \tilde{F}_M of the loop algebra \tilde{X} is presented. Based on the \tilde{F}_M, the multi-component integrable coupling system of the multi-component Dirac equation hierarchy is investigated. The method in this paper can be applied to other nonlinear evolution equation hierarchies.     

The gauge transformation of the modified KP hierarchy

In this paper, we firstly investigate the successive applications of three elementary gauge transformation operators T_i with i = 1,2,3 for the mKP hierarchy in Kupershmidt-Kiso version, and find that the gauge transformation operators T_i can not commute with each other. Then two types of gauge transformation operators T_D and T_I constructed from T_i are proved that they can commute with each other. In particular, T_I is introduced for the first time in the literature. And the successive applications of T_D and T_I in the form of T^(n,k), which is the product of n terms of T_D and k terms of T_I, are derived in three cases for different n and k. At last, the corresponding successive applications of T_D and T_I on the eigenfunction Φ, the adjoint eigenfunction Ψ and the tau functions τ₀ and τ₁ are considered.     

Binary nonlinearization of the super classical-Boussinesq hierarchy

The symmetry constraint and binary nonlinearization of Lax pairs for the super classical-Boussinesq hierarchy is obtained.Under the obtained symmetry constraint,the n-th flow of the super classical-Boussinesq hierarchy is decomposed into two super finite-dimensional integrable Hamiltonian systems,defined over the super-symmetry manifold with the corresponding dynamical variables x and t n.The integrals of motion required for Liouville integrability are explicitly given.     

Addition Formulae of Discrete KP,q-KP and Two-Component BKP Systems

In this paper,we construct the addition formulae for several integrable hierarchies,including the discrete KP,the q-deformed KP,the two-component BKP and the D type Drinfeld–Sokolov hierarchies.With the help of the Hirota bilinear equations and τ functions of different kinds of KP hierarchies,we prove that these addition formulae are equivalent to these hierarchies.These studies show that the addition formula in the research of the integrable systems has good universality.     

Open Superstring Star as a Continuous Moyal Product with B Field

In this paper, we recast the matter part of the open superstring star in the present ofa constant B field. Byusing a different coordinate representation the matter part of the open superstring star is identified with the continuousMoyal product of functions of anti-commuting variables. Fortunately we find it does not depend on the value of the Bfield.
