We consider Dirichlet-to-Neumann maps associated with (not necessarily self-adjoint) Schrödinger operators describing nonlocal interactions in ${L^2(\Omega; d^n x)}$ , where ${\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^n}$ , ${n\in\mathbb{N}}$ , ${n\geq 2}$ , are open sets with a compact, nonempty boundary ${\partial\Omega}$ satisfying certain regularity conditions. As an application we describe a reduction of a certain ratio of Fredholm perturbation determinants associated with operators in ${L^2(\Omega; d^{n} x)}$ to Fredholm perturbation determinants associated with operators in ${L^2(\partial\Omega; d^{n-1} \sigma)}$ , ${n\in\mathbb{N}}$ , ${n\geq 2}$ . This leads to an extension of a variant of a celebrated formula due to Jost and Pais, which reduces the Fredholm perturbation determinant associated with a Schrödinger operator on the half-line ${(0,\infty)}$ , in the case of local interactions, to a simple Wronski determinant of appropriate distributional solutions of the underlying Schrödinger equation.  相似文献

We consider magnetic Schrödinger operators $$H(\lambda \vec a) = ( - i\nabla - \lambda \vec a(x))^2$$ inL 2(R n ), where $\vec a \in C^1 (R^n ;R^n )$ and λεR. LettingM={x;B(x)=0}, whereB is the magnetic field associated with $\vec a$ , and $M_{\vec a} = \{ x;\vec a(x) = 0\}$ , we prove that $H(\lambda \vec a)$ converges to the (Dirichlet) Laplacian on the closed setM in the strong resolvent sense, as λ→∞,provided the set $M\backslash M_{\vec a}$ has measure zero. In various situations, which include the case of periodic fields, we even obtain norm resolvent convergence (again under the condition that $M\backslash M_{\vec a}$ has measure zero). As a consequence, if we are given a periodic fieldB where the regions withB=0 have non-empty interior and are enclosed by the region withB≠0, magnetic wells will be created when λ is large, opening up gaps in the spectrum of $H(\lambda \vec a)$ . We finally address the question of absolute continuity of $\vec a$ for periodic $H(\vec a)$ .  相似文献

By the use of complete orthonormal sets of ${\psi ^{(\alpha^{\ast})}}$ -exponential type orbitals ( ${\psi ^{(\alpha^{\ast})}}$ -ETOs) with integer (for α * = α) and noninteger self-frictional quantum number α *(for α * ≠ α) in standard convention introduced by the author, the one-range addition theorems for ${\chi }$ -noninteger n Slater type orbitals ${(\chi}$ -NISTOs) are established. These orbitals are defined as follows $$\begin{array}{ll}\psi _{nlm}^{(\alpha^*)} (\zeta ,\vec {r}) = \frac{(2\zeta )^{3/2}}{\Gamma (p_l ^* + 1)} \left[{\frac{\Gamma (q_l ^* + )}{(2n)^{\alpha ^*}(n - l - 1)!}} \right]^{1/2}e^{-\frac{x}{2}}x^{l}_1 F_1 ({-[ {n - l - 1}]; p_l ^* + 1; x})S_{lm} (\theta ,\varphi )\\ \chi _{n^*lm} (\zeta ,\vec {r}) = (2\zeta )^{3/2}\left[ {\Gamma(2n^* + 1)}\right]^{{-1}/2}x^{n^*-1}e^{-\frac{x}{2}}S_{lm}(\theta ,\varphi ),\end{array}$$ where ${x=2\zeta r, 0<\zeta <\infty , p_l ^{\ast}=2l+2-\alpha ^{\ast}, q_l ^{\ast}=n+l+1-\alpha ^{\ast}, -\infty <\alpha ^{\ast} <3 , -\infty <\alpha \leq 2,_1 F_1 }$ is the confluent hypergeometric function and ${S_{lm} (\theta ,\varphi )}$ are the complex or real spherical harmonics. The origin of the ${\psi ^{(\alpha ^{\ast})} }$ -ETOs, therefore, of the one-range addition theorems obtained in this work for ${\chi}$ -NISTOs is the self-frictional potential of the field produced by the particle itself. The obtained formulas can be useful especially in the electronic structure calculations of atoms, molecules and solids when Hartree–Fock–Roothan approximation is employed.  相似文献

We consider a generalized Raychaudhuri equation, $$\begin{array}{llll} \dot x = -\frac 1 2 x^2 -\alpha x -2(y^2 +z^2 -w^2)-2 \beta,\\ \dot y = -(\alpha +x) y -\gamma,\\ \dot z = -(\alpha +x) z -\delta,\\ \dot w = -(\alpha +x) w, \end{array}$$ where ??, ??, ??, ?? are real parameters. This model has appeared in modern string cosmology. We study the algebraic invariants of this model for all values of the parameters ${\alpha,\beta,\gamma,\delta\in \mathbb{R}}$ . We prove that when ???=????=?0 the system is integrable and for any other values of the parameters ??, ??, ??, ?? we characterize all the invariant surfaces of this system. In particular we characterize all the polynomial and proper rational first integrals.  相似文献

We consider self-similar solutions to Smoluchowski’s coagulation equation for kernels \(K=K(x,y)\) that are homogeneous of degree zero and close to constant in the sense that $$\begin{aligned} -\varepsilon \le K(x,y)-2 \le \varepsilon \Big ( \Big (\frac{x}{y}\Big )^{\alpha } + \Big (\frac{y}{x}\Big )^{\alpha }\Big ) \end{aligned}$$ for \(\alpha \in [0,1)\) . We prove that self-similar solutions with given mass are unique if \(\varepsilon \) is sufficiently small which is the first such uniqueness result for kernels that are not solvable. Our proof relies on a contraction argument in a norm that measures the distance of solutions with respect to the weak topology of measures.  相似文献

We prove a regularity result in weighted Sobolev (or Babu?ka?CKondratiev) spaces for the eigenfunctions of certain Schr?dinger-type operators. Our results apply, in particular, to a non-relativistic Schr?dinger operator of an N-electron atom in the fixed nucleus approximation. More precisely, let ${\mathcal{K}_{a}^{m}(\mathbb{R}^{3N},r_S)}$ be the weighted Sobolev space obtained by blowing up the set of singular points of the potential ${V(x) = \sum_{1 \le j \le N} \frac{b_j}{|x_j|} + \sum_{1 \le i < j \le N} \frac{c_{ij}}{|x_i-x_j|}}$ , ${x \in \mathbb{R}^{3N}}$ , ${b_j, c_{ij} \in \mathbb{R}}$ . If ${u \in L^2(\mathbb{R}^{3N})}$ satisfies ${(-\Delta + V) u = \lambda u}$ in distribution sense, then ${u \in \mathcal{K}_{a}^{m}}$ for all ${m \in \mathbb{Z}_+}$ and all a ?? 0. Our result extends to the case when b j and c ij are suitable bounded functions on the blown-up space. In the single-electron, multi-nuclei case, we obtain the same result for all a?<?3/2.  相似文献

Studies of conic-type electric-field structures are continued. The electric field is investigated, and its potential is described by the following analytical expression. $\Phi (x,y,z) = \frac{x}{{z + \sqrt {x^2 + y^2 + z^2 } }}$ . Expression (1) is derived on the basis of Donkin’s formula. Properties of these electric fields are described in Part I [1].  相似文献

LetS ?=??Δ+V, withV smooth. If 0<E 2V(x), the spectrum ofS ? nearE 2 consists (for ? small) of finitely-many eigenvalues,λ j (?). We study the asymptotic distribution of these eigenvalues aboutE 2 as ?→0; we obtain semi-classical asymptotics for $$\sum\limits_j {f\left( {\frac{{\sqrt {\lambda _j (\hbar )} - E}}{\hbar }} \right)} $$ with \(\hat f \in C_0^\infty \) , in terms of the periodic classical trajectories on the energy surface \(B_E = \left\{ {\left| \xi \right|^2 + V(x) = E^2 } \right\}\) . This in turn gives Weyl-type estimates for the counting function \(\# \left\{ {j;\left| {\sqrt {\lambda _j (\hbar )} - E} \right| \leqq c\hbar } \right\}\) . We make a detailed analysis of the case when the flow onB E is periodic.  相似文献

One problem in quantum ergodicity is to estimate the rate of decay of the sums $$S_k (\lambda ;A) = \frac{1}{{N(\lambda )}}\sum\limits_{\sqrt {\lambda _j } \leqq \lambda } {\left| {(A\varphi _j ,\varphi _j ) - \bar \sigma _A } \right|^k } $$ on a compact Riemannian manifold (M, g) with ergodic geodesic flow. Here, {λ j ,? j } are the spectral data of the Δ of(M, g), A is a 0-th order ψDO, $\bar \sigma _A $ is the (Liouville) average of its principal symbol and $N(\lambda ) = \# \{ j:\sqrt {\lambda _j } \leqq \lambda \} $ . ThatS k (λ;A)=o(1) is proved in [S, Z.1, CV.1]. Our purpose here is to show thatS k (λ;A)=O((logλ) ?k/2 ) on a manifold of (possibly variable) negative curvature. The main new ingredient is the central limit theorem for geodesic flows on such spaces ([R, Si]).  相似文献

We report on the p T dependence of nuclear modification factors (R CP) for K S 0 , ??, ?? and the $\bar NK_S^0 $ ratios at mid-rapidity from Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt {s_{NN} } $ = 39, 11.5 and 7.7 GeV. At $\sqrt {s_{NN} } $ = 39 GeV, the R CP data show a baryon/meson separation at intermediate p T and a suppression for K S 0 for p T up to 4.5 GeV/c; the $\bar \Lambda K_S^0 $ shows baryon enhancement in the most central collisions. However, at $\sqrt {s_{NN} } $ = 11.5 and 7.7 GeV, R CP shows less baryon/meson separation and $\bar NK_S^0 $ shows almost no baryon enhancement. These observations indicate that the matter created in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt {s_{NN} } $ = 11.5 or 7.7 GeV might be distinct from that created at $\sqrt {s_{NN} } $ = 39 GeV.  相似文献

In the study of the heat transfer in the Boltzmann theory, the basic problem is to construct solutions to the following steady problem: $$v \cdot \nabla _{x}F =\frac{1}{{\rm K}_{\rm n}}Q(F,F),\qquad (x,v)\in \Omega \times \mathbf{R}^{3}, \quad \quad (0.1) $$ v · ? x F = 1 K n Q ( F , F ) , ( x , v ) ∈ Ω × R 3 , ( 0.1 ) $$F(x,v)|_{n(x)\cdot v<0} = \mu _{\theta}\int_{n(x) \cdot v^{\prime}>0}F(x,v^{\prime})(n(x)\cdot v^{\prime})dv^{\prime},\quad x \in\partial \Omega,\quad \quad (0.2) $$ F ( x , v ) | n ( x ) · v < 0 = μ θ ∫ n ( x ) · v ′ > 0 F ( x , v ′ ) ( n ( x ) · v ′ ) d v ′ , x ∈ ? Ω , ( 0.2 ) where Ω is a bounded domain in ${\mathbf{R}^{d}, 1 \leq d \leq 3}$ R d , 1 ≤ d ≤ 3 , Kn is the Knudsen number and ${\mu _{\theta}=\frac{1}{2\pi \theta ^{2}(x)} {\rm exp} [-\frac{|v|^{2}}{2\theta (x)}]}$ μ θ = 1 2 π θ 2 ( x ) exp [ - | v | 2 2 θ ( x ) ] is a Maxwellian with non-constant(non-isothermal) wall temperature θ(x). Based on new constructive coercivity estimates for both steady and dynamic cases, for ${|\theta -\theta_{0}|\leq \delta \ll 1}$ | θ - θ 0 | ≤ δ ? 1 and any fixed value of Kn, we construct a unique non-negative solution F s to (0.1) and (0.2), continuous away from the grazing set and exponentially asymptotically stable. This solution is a genuine non-equilibrium stationary solution differing from a local equilibrium Maxwellian. As an application of our results we establish the expansion ${F_s=\mu_{\theta_0}+\delta F_{1}+O(\delta ^{2})}$ F s = μ θ 0 + δ F 1 + O ( δ 2 ) and we prove that, if the Fourier law holds, the temperature contribution associated to F 1 must be linear, in the slab geometry.  相似文献

We implement an infinite iteration scheme of Poincaré-Dulac normal form reductions to establish an energy estimate on the one-dimensional cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLS) in ${C_tL^2(\mathbb{T})}$ C t L 2 ( T ) , without using any auxiliary function space. This allows us to construct weak solutions of NLS in ${C_tL^2(\mathbb{T})}$ C t L 2 ( T ) with initial data in ${L^2(\mathbb{T})}$ L 2 ( T ) as limits of classical solutions. As a consequence of our construction, we also prove unconditional well-posedness of NLS in ${H^s(\mathbb{T})}$ H s ( T ) for ${s \geq \frac{1}{6}}$ s ≥ 1 6 .  相似文献

On the basis of the analysis of the adele group (Tate's formula), a regularization for the divergent infinite product ofp-adic Г-functions $$\Gamma _p (\alpha ) = \frac{{1 - p^{\alpha - 1} }}{{[ - p^{ - \alpha } }}$$ is proposed, and the adelic formula is proved $$reg\coprod\limits_{p = 2}^\infty {\Gamma _p (\alpha )} = \frac{{\zeta (\alpha )}}{{\zeta (1 - \alpha )}}$$ whereζ(α) is the Riemannζ-function.  相似文献

We analyze longitudinal pion spectra from $\ensuremath \sqrt{s_{NN}}=2$ GeV to $\ensuremath \sqrt{s_{NN}}=20$ GeV within Landau??s hydrodynamical model and the UrQMD hybrid approach. From the measured data on the widths of the pion rapidity spectra, we extract the sound velocity c s 2 in the dense stage of the reactions. It is found that the sound velocity has a local minimum (indicating the softest point in the equation of state, EoS) at $\ensuremath \sqrt{s_{NN}}=4\mbox{--}9$ GeV, an energy range accessible at the Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research (FAIR) as well as the RHIC-Beam Energy Scan (RHIC-BES). This softening of the EoS is compatible with the formation of a QGP at the onset of deconfinement. The extracted sound velocities are then used to calculate an excitation function for the mean transverse mass of pions from the hybrid model. We find that, above $\ensuremath \sqrt{s_{NN}} \approx 10$ GeV, even the lowest c s 2 gives a considerably larger $\ensuremath \langle m_T\rangle$ of pions compared to data.  相似文献

In this paper we study the Liouville-type properties for solutions to the steady incompressible Euler equations with forces in ${\mathbb {R}^N}$ . If we assume “single signedness condition” on the force, then we can show that a ${C^1 (\mathbb {R}^N)}$ solution (v, p) with ${|v|^2+ |p| \in L^{\frac{q}{2}}(\mathbb {R}^N),\,q \in (\frac{3N}{N-1}, \infty)}$ is trivial, v = 0. For the solution of the steady Navier–Stokes equations, satisfying ${v(x) \to 0}$ as ${|x| \to \infty}$ , the condition ${\int_{\mathbb {R}^3} |\Delta v|^{\frac{6}{5}} dx < \infty}$ , which is stronger than the important D-condition, ${\int_{\mathbb {R}^3} |\nabla v|^2 dx < \infty}$ , but both having the same scaling property, implies that v = 0. In the appendix we reprove Theorem 1.1 (Chae, Commun Math Phys 273:203–215, 2007), using the self-similar Euler equations directly.  相似文献

We prove that AB site percolation occurs on the line graph of the square lattice when $p \in (1 - \sqrt {1 - p_c } ,\sqrt {1 - p_c } )$ , where p c is the critical probability for site percolation in $\mathbb{Z}^2$ . Also, we prove that AB bond percolation does not occur on $\mathbb{Z}^2$ for p = $\frac{1}{2}$ .  相似文献

Preliminary results from measurements of resonances (K *0(892), $\overline {K*^0 } (892)$ , Φ(1020), and ρ(770)) and weakly decaying particles (Λ(1116), $\bar \Lambda (1116)$ , and K S 0 (498)) are presented. The measurements are performed at mid-rapidity by the STAR detector in $\sqrt {s_{NN} } = 130$ GeV Au?Au collisions at RHIC. The ratios K *0/h?, $\overline {K*^0 } /K$ , and $\bar \Lambda /\Lambda $ are compared to measurements at different energies and colliding systems. Estimates of thermal parameters, such as temperature and baryon chemical potential, are also presented.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the spread-out oriented bond percolation models inZ d ×Z withd>4 and the nearest-neighbor oriented bond percolation model in sufficiently high dimensions. Let η n ,n=1, 2, ..., be the random measures defined onR d by $$\eta _n (A) = \sum\limits_{x \in Z^d } {1_A (x/\sqrt n )1_{\{ (0,0) \to (x,n)\} } } $$ The mean of η n , denoted by $\bar \eta _n $ , is the measure defined by $$\bar \eta _n (A) = E_p [\eta _n (A)]$$ We use the lace expansion method to show that the sequence of probability measures $[\bar \eta _n (R^d )]^{ - 1} \bar \eta _n $ converges weakly to a Gaussian limit asn→∞ for everyp in the subcritical regime as well as the critical regime of these percolation models. Also we show that for these models the parallel correlation length $\xi (p)~|p_c - p|^{ - 1} $ asp?pc  相似文献

The fireball formed in a heavy ion collision is characterized by the impact parameter vector $\vec b$ , which is orthogonal to the beam direction and can be determined from the multiplicity and the angular distribution of the reaction products. By appropriate rotations the $\vec b$ vectors of each collision can be oriented into a fixed direction. Using the measured values of the momentum distributions of the vector mesons an integral equation can be formulated for the unknown emission densities $(E_M (\vec r))$ and for the unknown absorption densities $(\Delta \mu _M (\vec r,p))$ of the different vector mesons $M( \equiv \omega ^0 ,\rho ^0 ,\phi ^0 ,\psi ^0 ,\psi ^{0'} ,\Upsilon )$ .  相似文献
