The reaction of the anticancer active compound [Rh(2)(mu-O(2)CCH(3))(2)(bpy)(2)(CH(3)CN)(2)][BF(4)](2) (1) (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) with NaC(6)H(5)S under anaerobic conditions yields Rh(2)(eta(1)-C(6)H(5)S)(2)(mu-C(6)H(5)S)(2)(bpy)(2).CH(3)OH (2), which was characterized by UV-visible, IR, and (1)H NMR spectroscopies as well as single-crystal X-ray crystallography. Compound 2 crystallizes as dark red platelets in the monoclinic space group C2/c with cell parameters a = 20.398(4) A, b = 11.861(2) A, c = 17.417(4) A, beta = 108.98 degrees, V = 3984.9(14) A(3), Z = 4. The main structural features are the presence of a [Rh(2)](4+) core with a Rh-Rh distance of 2.549(2) A bridged by two benzene thiolate ligands in a butterfly-type arrangement. The axial positions of the [Rh(2)](4+) core are occupied by two terminal benzene thiolates. Cyclic voltammetric studies of 2 reveal that the compound exhibits an irreversible oxidation at +0.046 V in CH(3)CN, which is in accord with the fact that the compound readily oxidizes in the presence of O(2). The fact that this unusual dirhodium(II/II) thiolate compound is formed under these conditions is an important first step in understanding the metabolism of dirhodium anticancer active compounds with thiol-containing peptides and proteins.  相似文献

Reaction of racemic cis-Rh(2)(C(6)H(4)PPh(2))(2)(OAc)(2)(HOAc)(2) with excess Me(3)OBF(4) in CH(3)CN results in the formation of racemic cis-[Rh(2)(C(6)H(4)PPh(2))(2)(CH(3)CN)(6)](BF(4))(2).0.5H(2)O (1.0.5H(2)O), an ionic dirhodium complex which has two cisoid nonlabile orthometalated phosphine bridging anions and six labile CH(3)CN ligands in equatorial and axial positions. Reactions of 1 with tetraethylammonium salts of the linear dicarboxylates, oxalate, terephthalate, and 4,4'-biphenyl-dicarboxylate, in organic solvents, produced racemic crystals of the triangular compounds [Rh(2)(C(6)H(4)PPh(2))(2)](3)(C(2)O(4))(3)(py)(6).6MeOH.H(2)O (2.6MeOH.H(2)O), [Rh(2)(C(6)H(4)PPh(2))(2)](3)(O(2)CC(6)H(4)CO(2))(3)(DMF)(6).6.5DMF.0.5H(2)O (3.6.5DMF.0.5H(2)O), and [Rh(2)(C(6)H(4)PPh(2))(2)](3)(O(2)CC(6)H(4)C(6)H(4)CO(2))(3)(py)(6).4.5CH(3)OH.0.75H(2)O (4.4.5CH(3)OH.0.75H(2)O), respectively. All compounds are electrochemically active. The relative chiralities of the dirhodium units in each triangle have been established using a combination of data from X-ray crystallography and (31)P NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

We report the synthesis and characterization of five novel Mo-containing polyoxometalate (POM) bisphosphonate complexes with nuclearities ranging from 4 to 12 and with fully reduced, fully oxidized, or mixed-valent (Mo(V), Mo(VI)) molybdenum, in which the bisphosphonates bind to the POM cluster through their two phosphonate groups and a deprotonated 1-OH group. The compounds were synthesized in water by treating [Mo(V)(2)O(4)(H(2)O)(6)](2+) or [Mo(VI)O(4)](2-) with H(2)O(3)PC(C(3)H(6)NH(2))OPO(3)H(2) (alendronic acid) or its aminophenol derivative, and were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and (31)P NMR spectroscopy. (NH(4))(6)[(Mo(V)(2)O(4))(Mo(VI)(2)O(6))(2)(O(3)PC(C(3)H(6)NH(3))OPO(3))(2)]·12H(2)O (1) is an insoluble mixed-valent species. [(C(2)H(5))(2)NH(2)](4)[Mo(V)(4)O(8)(O(3)PC(C(3)H(6)NH(3))OPO(3))(2)]·6H(2)O (2) and [(C(2)H(5))(2)NH(2)](6)[Mo(V)(4)O(8)(O(3)PC(C(10)H(14)NO)OPO(3))(2)]·18H(2)O (4) contain similar tetranuclear reduced frameworks. Li(8)[(Mo(V)(2)O(4)(H(2)O))(4)(O(3)PC(C(3)H(6)NH(3))OPO(3))(4)]·45H(2)O (3) and Na(2)Rb(6)[(Mo(VI)(3)O(8))(4)(O(3)PC(C(3)H(6)NH(3))OPO(3))(4)]·26H(2)O (5) are alkali metal salts of fully reduced octanuclear and fully oxidized dodecanuclear POMs, respectively. The activities of 2-5 (which are water-soluble) against three human tumor cell lines were investigated in vitro. Although 2-4 have weak but measurable activity, 5 has IC(50) values of about 10 μM, which is about four times the activity of the parent alendronate molecule on a per-alendronate basis, which opens up the possibility of developing novel drug leads based on Mo bisphosphonate clusters.  相似文献

Reactions of a dinuclear metal complex in the form of dirhodium(II) tetra(trifluoroacetate), [Rh(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4)] (1), with a number of strong N-donor ligands having functional groups rigidly oriented at different directing angles have been found to yield supramolecular architectures of differing complexity. All structures have been established by X-ray crystallography. From reaction of 1 with neutral tris(4'-pyridyl)methylsilane ligand, CH(3)Si(C(5)H(4)N)(3) (L1), a discrete pyramid-shaped hexanuclear complex [[Rh(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4)](3)CH(3)Si(C(5)H(4)N)(3)(eta(1)-C(6)H(6))(3)].C(6)H(6) (2.C(6)H(6)) has been isolated from benzene. In 2 three molecules of 1 are strongly coordinated to one L1 ligand at only one axial position of each dirhodium unit at the Rh-N distances of 2.152(6) A. The second rhodium atom of each dimetal complex in 2 weakly coordinates a benzene molecule with an Rh-C distance of 2.69(2) A. A supramolecular complex of the composition [[Rh(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4)](2)(C(6)H(5))(2)Si(C(5)H(4)N)(2)] (3) has been prepared by reacting the dinuclear units 1 with a potentially bidentate ligand, bis(4'-pyridyl)diphenylsilane, (C(6)H(5))(2)Si(C(5)H(4)N)(2) (L2), having two pyridyl groups rigidly oriented at 109 degrees. In 3, one L2 ligand coordinates two dirhodium molecules 1 through their axial positions with the Rh-N distance of 2.150(5) A. An interesting extended 2D layered motif is formed by additional contacts of open axial positions of dirhodium units with phenyl groups of the neighboring ligands at Rh-C distances which average to 2.88(1) A. A supramolecular compound of the composition [[Rh(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4)](3)(HO)C(C(5)H(4)N)(3)(eta(1)-C(6)H(6))].(1)/(2)C(6)H(6) (4.(1)/(2)C(6)H(6)) has been formed when linear dirhodium units 1 were reacted with tris(4'-pyridyl)methanol (L3) having tetrahedral directing angles that average to 110 degrees. A building block in the solid structure of 4 is a hexanuclear molecule in which one L3 ligand binds three dimetal units of 1 through N atoms of pyridyl groups at the average Rh-N distance of 2.143(7) A. A unique extended pseudo-3D structure in 4 is created by additional Rh-O coordination bonds as well as by weak metal-arene interactions.  相似文献

The electronic structure and metal-metal bonding in the classic d(7)d(7) tetra-bridged lantern dimer [Pt(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(4)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) has been investigated by performing quasi-relativistic Xalpha-SW molecular orbital calculations on the analogous formate-bridged complex. From the calculations, the highest occupied and lowest unoccupied metal-based levels are delta(Pt(2)) and sigma(Pt(2)), respectively, indicating a metal-metal single bond analogous to the isoelectronic Rh(II) complex. The energetic ordering of the main metal-metal bonding levels is, however, quite different from that found for the Rh(II) complex, and the upper metal-metal bonding and antibonding levels have significantly more ligand character. As found for the related complex [W(2)(O(2)CH)(4)], the inclusion of relativistic effects leads to a further strengthening of the metal-metal sigma bond as a result of the increased involvement of the higher-lying platinum 6s orbital. The low-temperature absorption spectrum of [Pt(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(4)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) is assigned on the basis of Xalpha-SW calculated transition energies and oscillator strengths. Unlike the analogous Rh(II) spectrum, the visible and near-UV absorption spectrum is dominated by charge transfer (CT) transitions. The weak, visible bands at 27 500 and 31 500 cm(-)(1) are assigned to Ow --> sigma(Pt(2)) and OAc --> sigma(Pt(2)) CT transitions, respectively, although the donor orbital in the latter transition has around 25% pi(Pt(2)) character. The intense near-UV band around 37 500 cm(-)(1) displays the typical lower energy shift as the axial substituents are changed from H(2)O to Cl and Br, indicative of significant charge transfer character. From the calculated oscillator strengths, a number of transitions, mostly OAc --> sigma(Pt-O) CT in nature, are predicted to contribute to this band, including the metal-based sigma(Pt(2)) --> sigma(Pt(2)) transition. The close similarity in the absorption spectra of the CH(3)COO(-), SO(4)(2)(-), and HPO(4)(2)(-) bridged Pt(III) complexes suggests that analogous spectral assignments should apply to [Pt(2)(SO(4))(4)(H(2)O)(2)](2)(-) and [Pt(2)(HPO(4))(4)(H(2)O)(2)](2)(-). Consequently, the anomalous MCD spectra reported recently for the intense near-UV band in the SO(4)(2)(-) and HPO(4)(2)(-) bridged Pt(III) complexes can be rationalized on the basis of contributions from either SO(4) --> sigma(Pt-O) or HPO(4) --> sigma(Pt-O) CT transitions. The electronic absorption spectrum of [Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(4)(H(2)O)(2)] has been re-examined on the basis of Xalpha-SW calculated transition energies and oscillator strengths. The intense UV band at approximately 45 000 cm(-)(1) is predicted to arise from several excitations, both metal-centered and CT in origin. The lower energy shoulder at approximately 40 000 cm(-)(1) is largely attributed to the metal-based sigma(Rh(2)) --> sigma(Rh(2)) transition.  相似文献

The coordination chemistry of silver(I) with the nitrogen-bridged ligands (C(6)H(5))(2)PN(R)P(C(6)H(5))(2) [R = H (dppa); R = CH(3) (dppma)] has been investigated by (31)P NMR and electrospray mass spectrometry (ESMS). Species observed by (31)P NMR include Ag(2)(mu-dppa)(2+), Ag(2)(mu-dppa)(2)(2+), Ag(2)(mu-dppa)(3)(2+), Ag(2)(mu-dppma)(2+), Ag(2)(mu-dppma)(2)(2+), and Ag(eta(2)-dppma)(2)(+). Species observed by ESMS at low cone voltages were Ag(2)(dppa)(2)(2+), Ag(2)(dppa)(3)(2+), Ag(2)(dppma)(2)(2+), and Ag(dppma)(2)(+). (C(6)H(5))(2)PN(CH(3))P(C(6)H(5))(2) showed a strong tendency to chelate, while (C(6)H(5))(2)PN(H)P(C(6)H(5))(2) preferred to bridge. Differences in the bridging versus chelating behavior of the ligands are assigned to the Thorpe-Ingold effect, where the methyl group on nitrogen sterically interacts with the phenyl groups on phosphorus. The crystal structure of the three-coordinate dinuclear silver(I) complex (Ag(2)[(C(6)H(5))(2)PN(H)P(C(6)H(5))(2)](3))(BF(4))(2) has been determined. Bond distances include Ag-Ag = 2.812(1) A, Ag(1)-P(av) = 2.492(3) A, and Ag(2)-P(av) = 2.509(3) A. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group Cc at 294 K, with a = 18.102(4)(o), Z = 4, V = 7261(3) A(3), R = 0.0503, and R(W) = 0.0670.  相似文献

The photophysical properties of Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(4)(L)(2) (L = CH(3)OH, THF = tetrahydrofuran, PPh(3) = triphenylphosphine, py = pyridine) were explored upon excitation with visible light. Time-resolved absorption shows that all the complexes possess a long-lived transient (3.5-5.0 micros) assigned as an electronic excited state of the molecules, and they exhibit an optical transition at approximately 760 nm whose position is independent of axial ligand. No emission from the Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(4)(L)(2) (L = CH(3)OH, THF, PPh(3), py) systems was detected, but energy transfer from Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(4)(PPh(3))(2) to the (3)pipi excited state of perylene is observed. Electron transfer from Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(4)(PPh(3))(2) to 4,4'-dimethyl viologen (MV(2+)) and chloro-p-benzoquinone (Cl-BQ) takes place with quenching rate constants (k(q)) of 8.0 x 10(6) and 1.2 x 10(6) M(-1) s(-1) in methanol, respectively. A k(q) value of 2 x 10(8) M(-1) s(-1) was measured for the quenching of the excited state of Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(4)(PPh(3))(2) by O(2) in methanol. The observations are consistent with the production of an excited state with excited-state energy, E(00), between 1.34 and 1.77 eV.  相似文献

The adducts formed between the antitumor active compounds [Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(6)](BF(4))(2), Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(4), and Rh(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4) with DNA oligonucleotides have been assessed by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization (MALDI) and nanoelectrospray (nanoESI) coupled to time-of-flight mass spectrometry (TOF MS). A series of MALDI studies performed on dipurine (AA, AG, GA, and GG)-containing single-stranded oligonucleotides of different lengths (tetra- to dodecamers) led to the establishment of the relative reactivity cis-[Pt(NH(3))(2)(OH(2))(2)](2+) (activated cisplatin) approximately Rh(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4) > cis-[Pt(NH(3))(2)Cl(2)] (cisplatin) > [Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(6)](BF(4))(2) > Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(4) approximately Pt(C(6)H(6)O(4))(NH(3))(2) (carboplatin). The relative reactivity of the complexes is associated with the lability of the leaving groups. The general trend is that an increase in the length of the oligonucleotide leads to enhanced reactivity for Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(6)](BF(4))(2) and Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(4) (except for the case of [Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(6)](2+), which reacts faster with the GG octamers than with the dodecamers), whereas the reactivity of Rh(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4) is independent of the oligonucleotide length. When monitored by ESI, the dodecamers containing GG react faster than the respectiveAA oligonucleotides in reactions with Rh(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4) and Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(6)](BF(4))(2), whereas AA oligonucleotides react faster with Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(4). The mixed (AG, GA) purine sequences exhibit comparable rates of reactivity with the homopurine (AA, GG) dodecamers in reactions with Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(4). The observation of initial dirhodium-DNA adducts with weak axial (ax) interactions, followed by rearrangement to more stable equatorial (eq) adducts, was achieved by electrospray ionization; the Rh-Rh bond as well as coordinated acetate or acetonitrile ligands remain intact in these dirhodium-DNA adducts. MALDI in-source decay (ISD), collision-induced dissociation (CID) MS-MS, and enzymatic digestion studies followed by MALDI and ESI MS reveal that, in the dirhodium compounds studied, the purine sites of the DNA oligonucleotides interact with the dirhodium core. Ultimately, both MALDI and ESI MS proved to be complementary, valuable tools for probing the identity and stability of dinuclear metal-DNA adducts.  相似文献

X-ray crystal structures are reported for the following complexes: [Ru(2)Cl(3)(tacn)(2)](PF(6))(2).4H(2)O (tacn = 1,4,7-triazacyclononane), monoclinic P2(1)/n, Z = 4, a = 14.418(8) ?, b = 11.577(3) ?, c = 18.471(1) ?, beta = 91.08(5) degrees, V = 3082 ?(3), R(R(w)) = 0.039 (0.043) using 4067 unique data with I > 2.5sigma(I) at 293 K; [Ru(2)Br(3)(tacn)(2)](PF(6))(2).2H(2)O, monoclinic P2(1)/a, Z = 4, a = 13.638(4) ?, b = 12.283(4) ?, c = 18.679(6) ?, beta = 109.19(2) degrees, V = 3069.5 ?(3), R(R(w)) = 0.052 (0.054) using 3668 unique data with I > 2.5sigma(I) at 293 K; [Ru(2)I(3)(tacn)(2)](PF(6))(2), cubic P2(1)/3, Z = 3, a = 14.03(4) ?, beta = 90.0 degrees, V = 2763.1(1) ?(3), R (R(w)) = 0.022 (0.025) using 896 unique data with I > 2.5sigma(I) at 293 K. All of the cations have cofacial bioctahedral geometries, although [Ru(2)Cl(3)(tacn)(2)](PF(6))(2).4H(2)O, [Ru(2)Br(3)(tacn)(2)](PF(6))(2).2H(2)O, and [Ru(2)I(3)(tacn)(2)](PF(6))(2) are not isomorphous. Average bond lengths and angles for the cofacial bioctahedral cores, [N(3)Ru(&mgr;-X)(3)RuN(3)](2+), are compared to those for the analogous ammine complexes [Ru(2)Cl(3)(NH(3))(6)](BPh(4))(2) and [Ru(2)Br(3)(NH(3))(6)](ZnBr(4)). The Ru-Ru distances in the tacn complexes are longer than those in the equivalent ammine complexes, probably as a result of steric interactions.  相似文献

The structure of a novel mixed-valent chromium uranyl compound, (C(3)NH(10))(10)[(UO(2))(13)(Cr(12)(5+)O(42))(Cr(6+)O(4))(6)(H(2)O)(6)](H(2)O)(6) (1), obtained by the combination of a hydrothermal method and evaporation from aqueous solutions with isopropylammonium, contains uranyl chromate hemispheres with lateral dimensions of 18.9 × 18.5 ?(2) and a height of about 8 ?. The hemispheres are centered by a UO(8) hexagonal bipyramid surrounded by six dimers of Cr(5+)O(5) square pyramids, UO(7) pentagonal bipyramids, and Cr(6+)O(4) tetrahedra. The hemispheres are linked into two-dimensional layers so that two adjacent hemispheres are oriented in opposite directions relative to the plane of the layer. From a topological point of view, the hemispheres have the formula U(21)Cr(23) and can be considered as derivatives of nanospherical cluster U(26)Cr(36) composed of three-, four-, and five-membered rings.  相似文献

Two dirhodium(II) complexes, [Rh(II)(2)(μ-O(2)CCH(3))(2)(bpy)(2)](O(2)CCH(3))(2) (Rh(2)bpy(2); bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) and [Rh(II)(2)(μ-O(2)CCH(3))(2)(phen)(2)](O(2)CCH(3))(2) (Rh(2)phen(2); phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) were synthesized, and their photocatalytic H(2) production activities were studied in multicomponent systems, containing [Ir(III)(ppy)(2)(dtbbpy)](+) (ppy = 2-phenylpyridine, dtbbpy = 4,4'-di-tert-butyl-2,2'-bipyridine) as the photosensitizer (PS) and triethylamine as the sacrificial reductant (SR). There is a more than 6-fold increase in the photocatalytic activity from Rh(2)bpy(2) to Rh(2)phen(2) just using phen in place of bpy. A turnover number as high as 2622 was obtained after 50 h of irradiation of a system containing 16.7 μM Rh(2)phen(2), 50 μM PS, and 0.6 M SR. The electrochemical, luminescence quenching, and transient absorption experiments demonstrate that Rh(I)Rh(I) is the true catalyst for the proton reduction. The real-time absorption spectra confirm that a new Rh-based species formed upon irradiation of the Rh(2)phen(2)-based multicomponent system, which exhibits an absorption centered at ~575 nm. This 575-nm intermediate may account for the much higher H(2) evolution efficiency of Rh(2)phen(2). Our work highlights the importance of N-based chelate ligands and opens a new avenue for pursuing more efficient Rh(II)(2)-based complexes in photocatalytic H(2) production application.  相似文献

The alkali metal and alkaline-earth metal uranyl iodates K(2)[(UO(2))(3)(IO(3))(4)O(2)] and Ba[(UO(2))(2)(IO(3))(2)O(2)](H(2)O) have been prepared from the hydrothermal reactions of KCl or BaCl(2) with UO(3) and I(2)O(5) at 425 and 180 degrees C, respectively. While K(2)[(UO(2))(3)(IO(3))(4)O(2)] can be synthesized under both mild and supercritical conditions, the yield increases from <5% to 73% as the temperature is raised from 180 to 425 degrees C. Ba[(UO(2))(2)(IO(3))(2)O(2)](H(2)O), however, has only been isolated from reactions performed in the mild temperature regime. Thermal measurements (DSC) indicate that K(2)[(UO(2))(3)(IO(3))(4)O(2)] is more stable than Ba[(UO(2))(2)(IO(3))(2)O(2)](H(2)O) and that both compounds decompose through thermal disproportionation at 579 and 575 degrees C, respectively. The difference in the thermal behavior of these compounds provides a basis for the divergence of their preparation temperatures. The structure of K(2)[(UO(2))(3)(IO(3))(4)O(2)] is composed of [(UO(2))(3)(IO(3))(4)O(2)](2)(-) chains built from the edge-sharing UO(7) pentagonal bipyramids and UO(6) octahedra. Ba[(UO(2))(2)(IO(3))(2)O(2)](H(2)O) consists of one-dimensional [(UO(2))(2)(IO(3))(2)O(2)](2)(-) ribbons formed from the edge sharing of distorted UO(7) pentagonal bipyramids. In both compounds the iodate groups occur in both bridging and monodentate binding modes and further serve to terminate the edges of the uranium oxide chains. The K(+) or Ba(2+) cations separate the chains or ribbons in these compounds forming bonds with terminal oxygen atoms from the iodate ligands. Crystallographic data: K(2)[(UO(2))(3)(IO(3))(4)O(2)], triclinic, space group P_1, a = 7.0372(5) A, b = 7.7727(5) A, c = 8.9851(6) A, alpha = 93.386(1) degrees, beta = 105.668(1) degrees, gamma = 91.339(1) degrees, Z = 1; Ba[(UO(2))(2)(IO(3))(2)O(2)](H(2)O), monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c, a = 8.062(4) A, b = 6.940(3) A, c = 21.67(1), beta= 98.05(1) degrees, Z = 4.  相似文献

The reactivities of the highly electrophilic boranes ClB(C(6)F(5))(2) (1) and [HB(C(6)F(5))(2)](n) (2) towards a range of organometallic reagents featuring metals from Groups 7-10 have been investigated. Salt elimination chemistry is observed 1 between and the nucleophilic anions eta(5)-C(5)R(5))Fe(CO)(2)](-)(R = H or Me) and [Mn(CO)(5)](-), leading to the generation of the novel boryl complexes (eta(5)-C(5)R(5))Fe(CO)(2)B(C(6)F(5))(2)[R = H (3) or Me (4)] and (OC)(5)MnB(C(6)F(5))(2) (5). Such systems are designed to probe the extent to which the strongly sigma-donor boryl ligand can also act as a pi-acceptor; a variety of spectroscopic, structural and computational probes imply that even with such strongly electron withdrawing boryl substituents, the pi component of the metal-boron linkage is a relatively minor one. Similar reactivity is observed towards the hydridomanganese anion [(eta(5)-C(5)H(4)Me)Mn(CO)(2)H](-), generating a thermally labile product identified spectroscopically as (eta(5)-C(5)H(4)Me)Mn(CO)(2)(H)B(C(6)F(5))(2) (6). Boranes 1 and 2 display different patterns of reactivity towards low-valent platinum and rhodium complexes than those demonstrated previously for less electrophilic reagents. Thus, reaction of 1 with (Ph(3)P)(2)Pt(H(2)C=CH(2)) ultimately generates EtB(C(6)F(5))(2) (10) as the major boron-containing product, together with cis-(Ph(3)P)(2)PtCl(2) and trans-(Ph(3)P)(2)Pt(C(6)F(5))Cl (9). The cationic platinum hydride [(Ph(3)P)(3)PtH](+) is identified as an intermediate in the reaction pathway. Reaction of with [(Ph(3)P)(2)Rh(mu-Cl)](2), in toluene on the other hand, appears to proceed via ligand abstraction with both Ph(3)P.HB(C(6)F(5))(2) (11) and the arene rhodium(I) cation [(Ph(3)P)(2)Rh(eta(6)-C(6)H(5)Me)](+) (14) ultimately being formed.  相似文献

The syntheses, crystal structures determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and characterizations of new Mo(6) cluster chalcobromides and cyano-substituted compounds with 24 valence electrons per Mo(6) cluster (VEC = 24), are presented in this work. The structures of Cs(4)Mo(6)Br(12)S(2) and Cs(4)Mo(6)Br(12)Se(2) prepared by solid state routes are based on the novel [(Mo(6)Br(i)(6)Y(i)(2))Br(a)(6)](4)(-) (Y = S, Se) discrete units in which two chalcogen and six bromine ligands randomly occupy the inner positions, while the six apical ones are fully occupied by bromine atoms. The interaction of these two compounds with aqueous KCN solution results in apical ligand exchange giving the two first Mo(6) cyano-chalcohalides: Cs(0.4)K(0.6)(Et(4)N)(11)[(Mo(6)Br(6)S(2))(CN)(6)](3).16H(2)O and Cs(0.4)K(0.6)(Et(4)N)(11)[(Mo(6)Br(6)Se(2))(CN)(6)](3).16H(2)O. Their crystal structures, built from the original [(Mo(6)Br(i)(6)Y(i)(2))(CN)(a)(6)](4)(-) discrete units, will be compared to those of the two solid state precursors and other previously reported Mo(6) cluster compounds. Their redox properties and (77)Se NMR characterizations will be presented. The reactions of (4-methoxyphenyl)boronic acid (1a) and of (2,6-dimethylphenyl)boronic acid (1b) with (PMe(3))(3)Rh-(OC(6)H(4)Me-4) (2) in a 5:1 molar ratio result in the formation of cationic rhodium complexes with new tetraarylpentaborates [Rh(PMe(3))(4)](+)[B(5)O(6)Ar(4)](-) (3a, Ar = C(6)H(4)OMe-4; 3b, Ar = C(6)H(3)Me(2)-2,6). The characterization of 3a is as follows: orthorhombic space group P2(1)2(1)2(1), a = 14.7600(5) A, b = 17.1675(5) A, c = 19.8654(5) A; V = 5033.7(3) A(3); Z = 4. The characterization of 3b is as follows: orthorhombic space group Pnma, a = 23.704(6) A, b = 17.254(8) A, c = 13.304(2) A; V = 5441(2) A(3); Z = 4. The reactions of the singly deprotonated di-2-pyridylmethanediol ligand (dpmdH(-)) with copper(II) and bismuth(III) have been investigated. A new dinuclear bismuth(III) complex Bi(2)(dpmdH)(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4)(THF)(2), 1, has been obtained by the reaction of BiPh(3) with di-2-pyridyl ketone in the presence of HO(2)CCF(3) in tetrahydrofuran (THF). The reaction of Cu(OCH(3))(2) with di-2-pyridyl ketone, H(2)O, and acetic acid in a 1:2:2:2 ratio yielded a mononuclear complex Cu[(2-Py)(2)CO(OH)](2)(HO(2)CCH(3))(2), 2, while the reaction of Cu(OAC)(2)(H(2)O) with di-2-pyridyl ketone and acetic acid in a 2:1:1 ratio yielded a tetranuclear complex Cu(4)[(2-Py)(2)CO(OH)](2)(O(2)CCH(3))(6)(H(2)O)(2), 3. The structures of these complexes were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Three different bonding modes of the dpmdH(-) ligand were observed in compounds 1-3. In 2, the dpmdH(-) ligand functions as a tridentate chelate to the copper center and forms a hydrogen bond between the OH group and the noncoordinating HO(2)CCH(3) molecule. In 1 and 3, the dpmdH(-) ligand functions as a bridging ligand to two metal centers through the oxygen atom. The two pyridyl groups of the dpmdH(-) ligand are bound to one bismuth(III) center in 1, while in 3 they are bound two copper(II) centers, respectively. Compound 3 has an unusual one dimensional hydrogen bonded extended structure. The intramolecular magnetic interaction in 3 has been found to be dominated by ferromagnetism. A homologous series of dinuclear compounds with the bridging ligand 2-(2-pyridyl)-1,8-naphthyridine (pynp) has been prepared and characterized by X-ray crystallographic and spectroscopic methods. [Mo(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)][BF(4)](2) x 3CH(3)CN (1) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 15.134(5) A, b = 14.301(6) A, c = 19.990(6) A, beta = 108.06(2) degrees, V = 4113(3) A(3), and Z = 4. [Ru(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)][PF(6)](2) x 2CH(3)OH (2) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 14.2228(7) A, b = 20.3204(9) A, c = 14.1022(7) A, beta = 95.144(1) degrees, V = 4059.3(3) A(3), and Z = 4. [Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)][BF(4)](2) x C(7)H(8) (3) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 13.409(2) A, b = 21.670(3) A, c = 13.726(2) A, beta = 94.865(2) degrees, V = 3973.9(8) A(3), and Z = 4. A minor product, [Rh(2)(O(2)CCH(3))(2)(pynp)(2)(CH(3)CN)(2)][BF(4)][PF(6)] x 2CH(3)CN (4), was isolated from the mother liquor after crystals of 3 had been harvested; this compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group, P1 with a = 12.535(3) A, b = 13.116(3) A, c = 13.785(3) A, alpha = 82.52(3) degrees, beta = 77.70(3) degrees, gamma = 85.76(3) degrees, V = 2193.0(8) A(3), and Z = 2. Compounds 1-3 constitute a convenient series for probing the influence of the electronic configuration on the extent of mixing of the M-M orbitals with the pi system of the pynp ligand. Single point energy calculations performed on 1-3 at the B3LYP level of theory lend insight into the bonding in these compounds and allow for correlations to be made with electronic spectral data. Although purely qualitative in nature, the values for normalized change in orbital energies (NCOE) of the frontier orbitals before and after reduction are in agreement with the observed differences in reduction potentials as determined by cyclic voltammetry.  相似文献

The synthesis of a penta(1-methylpyrazole)ferrocenyl phosphine oxide ligand (1) [Fe(C(5)(C(3)H(2)N(2)CH(3))(5))(C(5)H(4)PO(t-C(4)H(9))(2))] is reported together with its X-ray crystal structure. Its self-assembly behavior with a dirhodium(II) tetraoctanoate linker (2) [Rh(2)(O(2)CC(7)H(15))(4)] was investigated for construction of fullerene-like assemblies of composition [(ligand)(12)(linker)(30)]. Reaction between 1 and 2 in acetonitrile resulted in the formation of a light purple precipitate (3). Evidence for the ligand-to-linker ratio of 1:2.5 expected for a fullerene-like structure [Fe(C(5)(C(3)H(2)N(2)CH(3))(5))(C(5)H(4)PO(t-C(4)H(9))(2))](12)[Rh(2)(O(2)CC(7)H(15))(4)](30) was obtained from (1)H NMR and elemental analysis. IR and Raman studies confirmed the diaxially bound coordination environment of the dirhodium linker by comparing the stretching frequencies of the carboxylate group and the rhodium-rhodium bond with those in model compound (5), [Rh(2)(O(2)CC(7)H(15))(4)](C(3)H(3)N(2)CH(3))(2), the bis-adduct of linker 2 with 1-methylpyrazole. X-ray powder diffraction and molecular modeling studies provide additional support for the formation of a spherical molecule topologically identical to fullerene with a diameter of approximately 38 ? and a molecular formula of [(1)(12)(2)(30)]. Dissolution of 3 in tetrahydrofuran (THF) followed by layering with acetonitrile afforded purple crystals of [(1)(2)(2)](∞) (6) [Fe(C(5)(C(3)H(2)N(2)CH(3))(5))(C(5)H(4)PO(t-C(4)H(9))(2))][Rh(2)(O(2)CC(7)H(15))(4)](2) with a two-dimensional polymeric structure determined by X-ray crystallography. The dirhodium linkers link ferrocenyl units by coordination to the pyrazoles but only four of the five pyrazole moieties of the pentapyrazole ligand are coordinated. The ligand-to-linker ratio of 1:2 in 6 was confirmed by (1)H NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis, while results from IR and Raman are in agreement with the diaxially coordinated environment of the linker observed in the solid state.  相似文献
