Let be a linearly ordered set, A() be the group of all order automorphisms of , and L() be a normal subgroup of A() consisting of all automorphisms whose support is bounded above. We argue to show that, for every linearly ordered set such that: (1) A() is an o-2-transitive group, and (2) contains a countable unbounded sequence of elements, the simple group A()/L() has exactly two maximal and two minimal non-trivial (mutually inverse) partial orders, and that every partial order of A()/L() extends to a lattice one (Thm. 2.1). It is proved that every lattice-orderable group is isomorphically embeddable in a simple lattice fully orderable group (Thm. 2.2). We also state that some quotient groups of Dlab groups of the real line and unit interval are lattice fully orderable (Thms. 3.1 and 3.2).  相似文献

In this note we discuss permutation groups (G, ) in which the set admits aG-invariant order. By aG-invariant partial order (G-partial order) we mean a partial order < of such that < implies g<g, for all and in andg inG. If the set admits aG-partial order which is a total order, then (G, ) is an O-permutation group (orderable permutation group).The main concern of this paper is the development of a foundation for partially ordered permutation groups analogous to the existing one for partially ordered groups, as found in Fuchs [2].  相似文献

Let XoR n be an irreducible analytic germ and the order space of its field of meromorphicfunetion germs. A formal half-branch in Xo is a kind of C-map germ c[0,)Xo; an ordering is centered at c if it contains the functions which are positive on c. We obtain a partition 1,...,d, d=dim Xo, of the set * of central (i.e.: centered at some half-branch) orderings, according to the dimension of half-branches. Then we show that all e, e= 1,.,d, as well as the set \* of noncentral orderings, are dense in . Finally, we solve the 17th Hubert Problem for analytic germs.  相似文献

Using a capacity approach, we prove in this article that it is always possible to define a realization of the Laplacian on L 2() with generalized Robin boundary conditions where is an arbitrary open subset of R n and is a Borel measure on the boundary of . This operator generates a sub-Markovian C 0-semigroup on L 2(). If d=d where is a strictly positive bounded Borel measurable function defined on the boundary and the (n–1)-dimensional Hausdorff measure on , we show that the semigroup generated by the Laplacian with Robin boundary conditions has always Gaussian estimates with modified exponents. We also obtain that the spectrum of the Laplacian with Robin boundary conditions in L p () is independent of p[1,). Our approach constitutes an alternative way to Daners who considers the (n–1)-dimensional Hausdorff measure on the boundary. In particular, it allows us to construct a conterexample disproving Daners' closability conjecture.  相似文献

Let X be a Banach space with a countable unconditional basis (e.g., X=2), X open. We show that is pseudoconvex if and only if for each affine complex line L in X the sheaf cohomology group H 1 (,I) vanishes, where I is the ideal sheaf of all holomorphic functions on that vanish on L. We also give an example that the condition H q (,)=0 for all q1 unlike in finite dimensions does not imply the pseudoconvexity of . Lastly, we prove an interpolation result. In an -group M with an appropriate operator set it is shown that the -value set (M) can be embedded in the value set (M). This embedding is an isomorphism if and only if each convex -subgroup is an -subgroup. If (M) has a.c.c. and M is either representable or finitely valued, then the two value sets are identical. More generally, these results hold for two related operator sets 1 and 2 and the corresponding -value sets and . We consider multidimensional weak and strong Hele-Shaw dynamics (t) of an advancing/receding viscous fluid injected/removed through a single finite point into/from a bounded domain (0). A class of weak solutions is shown to preserve local uniqueness in both directions. We study the problem of finding constant mean curvature graphsover a domain of a totally geodesic hyperplane andan equidistant hypersurface Q of hyperbolic space. We findthe existence of graphs of constant mean curvature H overmean convex domains Q and with boundary for –H < H |h|, where H > 0 is the mean curvature of the boundary . Here h is the mean curvature respectively of the geodesic hyperplane (h= 0) and of the equidistant hypersurface (0 < |h|< 1). The lower bound on H is optimal.  相似文献

Summary Let be a circle domain in the Riemann sphere whose boundary has -finite linear measure. We show that is rigid in the sense that any conformal homeomorphism of onto any other circle domain is equal to the restriction of a Möbius transformation. Let H() denote a functional Hilbert space of analytic functions on a domain . Let w : C and : be such that w f is in H() for every f in H(). The operator wC given by f w f is called a weighted composition operator on H(). In this paper we characterize such operators and those for which (wC )* is a composition operator. Compact weighted composition operators on some functional Hilbert spaces are also characterized. We give sufficient conditions for the compactness of such operators on weighted Dirichlet spaces.  相似文献

Summary We present a simple method, based on a variant of the implicit function theorem, which leads to the existence of (a part of) a nontrivial solution branch of the nonlinear eigenvalue problem –u=u + in ,u=–1 on , where is a two-dimensional domain with boundary . The advantage of this method is that we can apply it for analysing the approximation of the above problem by a finite element method; the error analysis of the discrete problem appears immediately. Let T- S, be a family of not necessarily bounded semi-Fredholm operators, where T and S are operators acting between Banach spaces X and Y, and where S is bounded with D(S) D(T). For compact sets , as well as for certain open sets , we investigate existence and minimal rank of bounded feedback perturbations of the form F=BE such that min.ind (T-S+F)=0 for all . Here B is a given operator from a linear space Z to Y and E is some operator from X to Z.We give a simple characterization of that situation, when such regularizing feedback perturbations exist and show that for compact sets the minimal rank never exceeds max { min.ind (T-S) }+1. Moreover, an example shows that the minimal rank, in fact, may increase from max {...} to max {...}+1, if the given B enforces a certain structure of the feedbachk perturbation F.However, the minimal rank is equal to max { min.ind (T-S) }, if is an open set such that min.ind (T-S) already vanishes for all but finitely many points . We illustrate this result by applying it to the stabilization of certain infinite-dimensional dynamical systems in Hilbert space.  相似文献

Moreover, under suitable growth conditions onf, we show that (u,)= f(u)dx for everyu W1,p(;R k), withp min{n,k}. We prove also that the functional (u, ) can not be represented by an inte- gral for an arbitrary functionu BVloc(R n;R k). In fact, two examples show that, in general, the set function (u, ) is not subadditive whenu BVloc(R n;R k), even ifu W loc 1,p (R n;R k) for everyp < min{n,k}. In this paper, we study the asymptotics of the spectrum of the Dirichlet (or Neumann) Laplacian in a bounded open set R n (n 1) with irregular but nonfractal boundary. We give a partial resolution of the Weyl conjecture, i.e. for the counting functionN i ()(i=0 : Dirichlet;i=1 : Neumann), we have got a precise estimate of the remainder term÷ i ()=() –N i () for large, where() is the Weyl term. This implies that for the irregular but nonfractal drum , not only the volume || n is spectral invariant but also the area of boundary || n–1 might be spectral invariant as well.Partially supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Grant of Chinese State Education Committee.  相似文献
