A new series of oxovanadium(IV)-lanthanide(III) heteronuclear complexes [Yb(H2O)8]2[(VO)2(TTHA)](3)21 H2O (1), {[Ho(H2O)7(VO)2(TTHA)][(VO)2(TTHA)](0.5)} 8.5 H2O (2), {[Gd(H2O)7(VO)2(TTHA)][(VO)2(TTHA)](0.5)}8.5 H2O (3), {[Eu(H2O)7][(VO)2(TTHA)](1.5)} 10.5 H2O (4), and [Pr2(H2O)6(SO4)2][(VO)2(TTHA)] (5) (H6TTHA=triethylenetetraaminehexaacetic acid) were prepared by using the bulky flexible organic acid H(6)TTHA as structure-directing agent. X-ray crystallographic studies reveal that they contain the same [(VO)2(TTHA)]2- unit as building block, but the Ln3+ ion lies in different coordination environments. Although the lanthanide ions always exhibit similar chemical behavior, the structures of the complexes are not homologous. Compound 1 is composed of a [Yb(H2O)8]3+ ion and a [(VO)2(TTHA)]2- ion. Compounds 2 and 3 are isomorphous; both contain a trinuclear [Ln(H2O)7(VO)2(TTHA)]+ (Ln=Ho for 2 and Gd for 3) ion and a [(VO)2(TTHA)]2- ion. Compound 4 is an extended one-dimensional chain, in which each Eu3+ ion links two [(VO)2(TTHA)]2- ions. For 5, the structure is further assembled into a three-dimensional network with an interesting framework topology comprising V2Pr2 and V4Pr2 heterometallic lattices. Moreover, 4 and 5 are the first oxovanadium(IV)-lanthanide(III) coordination polymers and thus enlarge the realm of 3d-4f complexes. The IR, UV/Vis, and EPR spectra and the magnetic properties of the heterometallic complexes were studied. Notably, 2 shows unusual ferromagnetic interactions between the VO2+ and Ho3+ ions.  相似文献

The electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide using hexa-aza-macrocycles derived from the condensation of 1,10-phenanthroline and its Co(II) complex as an electrocatalyst dissolved in dimethylformamide has been studied by cyclic voltammetry and UV-visible spectroscopy. The ligand does not show catalytic activity and only generates hydrogen when it is reduced under carbon dioxide. The cobalt complex shows electrocatalytic activity toward the reduction of carbon dioxide, generating carbon monoxide and formic acid. Cyclic voltammetry and UV-visible spectroscopy show that the active site for the reduction is the metal center in oxidation state (I), although the reduced cobalt center alone is not enough to promote reduction of the carbon dioxide. Electrolysis at controlled potential shows that only at potentials corresponding to reduction of the ligand (second reduction) does carbon dioxide reduction occur. Cobalt(I) probably reacts with CO2 forming a non-isolated intermediate which, when reduced, gives CO and formic acid. The second reduction that takes place on the ligand regenerates the catalyst and gives products, thus becoming the rate-determining step of the reaction.  相似文献

Eu(II) complexes are potential candidates for pO(2)-responsive contrast agents in magnetic resonance imaging. In this regard, we have characterized two novel macrocyclic Eu(II) chelates, [Eu(II)(DOTA)(H(2)O)](2-) and [Eu(II)(TETA)](2-) (H(4)DOTA=1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetraacetic acid, H(4)TETA=1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane-1,4,8,11-tetraacetic acid) in terms of redox and thermodynamic complex stability, proton relaxivity, water exchange, rotation and electron spin relaxation. Additionally, solid-state structures were determined for the Sr(II) analogues. They revealed no inner-sphere water in the TETA and one inner-sphere water molecule in the DOTA complex. This hydration pattern is retained in solution, as the (17)O chemical shifts and (1)H relaxation rates proved for the corresponding Eu(II) compounds. The thermodynamic complex stability, determined from the formal redox potential and by pH potentiometry, of [Eu(II)(DOTA)(H(2)O)](2-) (lg K(Eu(II))=16.75) is the highest among all known Eu(II) complexes, whereas the redox stabilities of both [Eu(II)(DOTA)(H(2)O)](2-) and [Eu(II)(TETA)](2-) are inferior to that of 18-membered macrocyclic Eu(II) chelates. Variable-temperature (17)O NMR, NMRD and EPR studies yielded the rates of water exchange, rotation and electron spin relaxation. Water exchange on [Eu(II)(DOTA)(H(2)O)](2-) is remarkably fast (k298(ex)=2.5 x 10(9) s(-1)). The near zero activation volume (DeltaV++ =+0.1+/-1.0 cm(3) mol(-1)), determined by variable-pressure (17)O NMR spectroscopy, points to an interchange mechanism. The fast water exchange can be related to the low charge density on Eu(II), to an unexpectedly long M-O(water) distance (2.85 A) and to the consequent interchange mechanism. Electron spin relaxation is considerably slower on [Eu(II)(DOTA)(H(2)O)](2-) than on the linear [Eu(II)(DTPA)(H(2)O)](3-) (H(5)DTPA=diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid), and this difference is responsible for its 25 percent higher proton relaxivity (r(1)=4.32 mM(-1) s(-1) for [Eu(II)(DOTA)(H(2)O)](2-) versus 3.49 mM(-1) s(-1) for [Eu(II)(DTPA)(H(2)O)](3-); 20 MHz, 298 K).  相似文献

Abstract

Planar chiral and achiral arenido(triphenylphosphane)nickel(II) complexes (arenido = mesitylenido, 2-toluenido) comprising electronically delocalised N,O chelating ligands were studied by 1H and 19F NMR using 1D and 2D techniques. Results from complexes and corresponding ligands are discussed in the light of molecular structures obtained from X-ray diffraction.

The antimony aminoalkoxide and aminothiolates Sb(ECH2CH2NMe2)3 [E = O ( 1 ), S ( 2 )] were synthesized and their ability to form adducts with other metal moieties investigated. Compound 1 forms 1:1 adducts with NiI2 ( 3 ) and M(acac)2 [M = Cd ( 4 ), Ni ( 5 )], while 2 undergoes ligand exchange with AlMe3 to afford Me2AlSCH2CH2NMe2 ( 6 ). The structures of 2 – 4 and 6 were determined. Compound 2 incorporates three S, N‐chelating ligands though the interaction with nitrogen is weaker than in analogous alkoxide complexes. Product 3 reveals one iodine has migrated from nickel to antimony, and all three alkoxide ligands bridge the two metals through μ2‐O atoms. In contrast, in 4 , only one alkoxide links the antimony and cadmium. Compound 6 adopts the same structure, a chelating S,N ligand generating a tetrahedral center at aluminum, as known tBu2AlSCH2CH2NR2 species (R = Me, Et).  相似文献

The Rieske dioxygenases are a group of non-heme iron enzymes, which catalyze the stereospecific cis-dihydroxylation of its substrates. Herein, we report the iron(II) coordination chemistry of the ligands 3,3-bis(1-methylimidazol-2-yl)propionate (L1) and its neutral propyl ester analogue propyl 3,3-bis(1-methylimidazol-2-yl)propionate (PrL1). The molecular structures of two iron(II) complexes with PrL1 were determined and two different coordination modes of the ligand were observed. In [Fe(II)(PrL1)(2)](BPh(4))(2) (3) the ligand is facially coordinated to the metal with an N,N,O donor set, whereas in [Fe(II)(PrL1)(2)(MeOH)(2)](OTf)(2) (4) a bidentate N,N binding mode is found. In 4, the solvent molecules are in a cis arrangement with respect to each other. Complex 4 is a close structural mimic of the crystallographically characterized non-heme iron(II) enzyme apocarotenoid-15-15'-oxygenase (APO). The mechanistic features of APO are thought to be similar to those of the Rieske oxygenases, the original inspiration for this work. The non-heme iron complexes [Fe(II)(PrL1)(2)](OTf)(2) (2) and [Fe(II)(PrL1)(2)](BPh(4))(2) (3) were tested in olefin oxidation reactions with H(2)O(2) as the terminal oxidant. Whereas 2 was an active catalyst and both epoxide and cis-dihydroxylation products were observed, 3 showed negligible activity under the same conditions, illustrating the importance of the anion in the reaction.  相似文献

We present an examination of the structural and photophysical characteristics of [Pt(N(2)O(2))] complexes bearing bis(phenoxy)diimine auxiliaries (diimine=4,7-Ph(2)phen (1) and 4,4'-tBu(2)bpy (2)) that are tetradentate relatives of the quinolinolato (q) ligand. These neutral derivatives display high thermal stability (>400 degrees C in N(2)). While the crystal lattice in 1 consists of (head-to-tail)-interacting dimers, molecules of 2 are arranged into infinitely stacked planar sheets with possible pi-pi interactions but no close Pt.Pt contacts. Complexes 1 and 2 exhibit moderately intense low-energy UV/Vis absorptions around lambda=400-500 nm that undergo negative solvatochromic shifts. Both derivatives are highly luminescent in solution at 298 K with emission lifetimes in the micros range, and mixed (3)[l-->pi*(diimine)] (l=lone pair/phenoxide) and (3)[Pt(d)-->pi*(diimine)] charge-transfer states are tentatively assigned. The excited-state properties of 2 are also investigated by time-resolved absorption spectroscopy and by quenching experiments with pyridinium acceptors to estimate the excited-state redox potential. These emitters have been employed as electrophosphorescent dopants in multilayer OLEDs. Differences between the brightness, color, and overall performance of devices incorporating 1 and 2 are attributed to the influence of the diimine substituents.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of copper(I) complexes of the novel pyridine‐containing macrocyclic ligand (PC‐L) and their use as catalysts in the Henry reaction are reported. The pyridine‐based 12‐membered tetraaza macrocyclic (PC‐L) ligand 1 can be obtained in good overall yield (85%) from commercially available starting materials. The Cu(I) complexes showed good catalytic activities in the Henry reaction of different aldehydes and nitroalkanes. Remarkable diastereoselectivity was observed when isatine was reacted with nitroethane under catalytic conditions. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Mixed 3d–4f 12‐azametallacrown‐4 complexes, [Mn2Ln2(OH)2(hppt)4(OAc)2(DMF)2] ? 2 DMF ? H2O [Ln=Dy ( 1 ), Er ( 2 ), Yb ( 3 ), Tb ( 4 ) and Y ( 5 ), H2hppt=3‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl)‐5‐(pyrazin‐2‐yl)‐1,2,4‐triazole)], were synthesized by reactions of H2hppt with Mn(OAc)2 ? 4 H2O and Ln(NO3)3 ? 6 H2O. This is the first 3d–4f azametallacrown family to incorporate Ln ions into the ring sets. These isostructural complexes exhibit alternating arrangements of two Mn and two Ln ions in the rings with each pair of metal centers bound by an N?N group and μ2‐O bridging. Magnetic measurements revealed dominant antiferromagnetic interactions between metal centers, and frequency‐dependent out‐of‐phase (${\chi {^\prime}{^\prime}_{\rm{M}} }$ ) signals below 4 K suggest slow relaxation of magnetization.  相似文献

Binding properties of 24,29-dimethyl-6,7,15,16-tetraoxotetracyclo[19.5.5.0(5,8).0(14,17)]-1,4,9,13,18,21,24,29-octaazaenatriaconta-Δ(5,8),Δ(14,17)-diene ligand L towards Zn(II) and anions, such as the halide series and inorganic oxoanions (phosphate (Pi), sulfate, pyrophosphate (PPi), and others), were investigated in aqueous solution; in addition, the Zn(II)/L system was tested as a metal-ion-based receptor for the halide series. Ligand L is a cryptand receptor incorporating two squaramide functions in an over-structured chain that connects two opposite nitrogen atoms of the Me(2)[12]aneN(4) polyaza macrocyclic base. It binds Zn(II) to form mononuclear species in which the metal ion, coordinated by the Me(2)[12]aneN(4) moiety, lodges inside the three-dimensional cavity. Zn(II)-containing species are able to bind chloride and fluoride at the physiologically important pH value of 7.4; the anion is coordinated to the metal center but the squaramide units play the key role in stabilizing the anion through a hydrogen-bonding network; two crystal structures reported here clearly show this aspect. Free L is able to bind fluoride, chloride, bromide, sulfate, Pi, and PPi in aqueous solution. The halides are bound at acidic pH, whereas the oxoanions are bound in a wide range of pH values ranging from acidic to basic. The cryptand cavity, abundant in hydrogen-bonding sites at all pH values, allows excellent selectivity towards Pi to be achieved mainly at physiological pH 7.4. By joining amine and squaramide moieties and using this preorganized topology, it was possible, with preservation of the solubility of the receptor, to achieve a very wide pH range in which oxoanions can be bound. The good selectivity towards Pi allows its discrimination in a manner not easily obtainable with nonmetallic systems in aqueous environment.  相似文献

The syntheses of two tetravalent uranium alkoxide-carbene complexes are reported, [UIL3], and [UL4] where L = OCMe2CH2[1-C(NCHCHNiPr)]. The latter shows dynamic behaviour of the alkoxycarbene ligands in solution at room temperature, and the crystal structure of [UL4] shows that one carbene group remains uncoordinated. The unbound N-heterocyclic carbene group is trapped by a range of reagents such as 16-valence-electron metal carbonyl fragments and BH3 moieties, forming, for example, [UL3(mu-L)W(CO)5], [UL2(mu-L)2Mo(CO)4], and [UL(n)(L-BH3)(4-n)] (n = 1-4), demonstrating the potential for these hemilabile electropositive metal-carbene complexes to participate in the bifunctional activation of small molecules.  相似文献

meso-Pentafluorophenyl- substituted [40]nonaphyrin(1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1) 3 has been prepared by using a stepwise ring-size-selective synthesis, and has been reduced with NaBH(4) to [42]nonaphyrin(1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1) 5. Structurally, 3 is characterized by a figure-of-eight shape, consisting of a porphyrin-like tetrapyrrolic segment and a hexaphyrin-like hexapyrrolic segment, whereas 5 has been found to adopt a distorted nonplanar butterfly-like shape. In the mono-metal complexes 6 and 7, a Zn(II) or Cu(II) ion is bound by the porphyrin-like tetrapyrrolic segment, maintaining the overall structure of 3. Similarly to 3, complexes 6 and 7 are interconvertible with the corresponding complexes 9 and 10 through two-electron reduction with NaBH(4) and oxidation with DDQ. The metal-free hexaphyrin-like segments of 6 and 7 have been shown to serve as a suitable platform for the complexation of two palladium ions, providing hetero-trinuclear metal complexes 11 (Zn(II)-Pd(II)-Pd(II)) and 13 (Cu(II)-Pd(II)-Pd(II)) in high yields, in which the Zn or Cu ion resides at the same porphyrin-like segment, and one Pd ion is bound in an NNCC fashion through double C--H bond activation while the other is bound in an NNC fashion with single C--H bond activation. Multi-metal complexes 11, 12, and 13 exhibit small electrochemical HOMO-LUMO gaps (<0.6 eV), despite their nonplanar conformations.  相似文献
