Synthesis, Structures, NMR and EPR Investigations of Binuclear Bis(N,N,N‴,N‴‐tetraisobutyl‐N′,N″‐isophthaloylbis(selenoureato)) Complexes of NiII and CuII The synthesis of binuclear CuII and NiII complexes of the quadridentate ligand N,N,N‴,N‴‐tetraisobutyl‐N′,N″‐isophthaloylbis(selenourea) and their crystal structures are reported. The complexes crystallize monoclinic, P21/c (Z = 2). In the EPR spectra of the binuclear CuII complex exchange‐coupled CuII‐CuII pairs were observed. In addition the signals of a mononuclear CuII species are observed what will be explained with the assumption of an equilibrium between the binuclear CuII‐complex (CuII‐CuII pairs) and oligomeric complexes with “isolated” CuII ions. Detailed 13C and 77Se NMR investigations on the ligand and the NiII complex allow an exact assignment of all signals of the heteroatoms.  相似文献

Synthesis and Structure of N,N,N?,N?‐Tetraisobutyl‐N′,N″‐isophthaloylbis(thiourea) and Dimethanol‐bis(N,N,N?,N?‐tetraisobutyl‐N′,N″‐isophthaloylbis(thioureato))dicobalt(II) The synthesis and the crystal structure of the ligand N,N,N?,N?‐tetraisobutyl‐N′,N″‐isophthaloylbis(thiourea) and its CoII‐complex are reported. The ligand co‐ordinates quadridentately forming a di‐bischelate. The donor atoms O and S are arranged in cis‐position around the central CoII ions. In addition the co‐ordination geometry is determined by methanol molecules resulting in the co‐ordination number five. The complex crystallizes in the space group P1 (Z = 1) with two additional methanol molecules per formula unit. The free ligand crystallizes in the space group P1 (Z = 2) with one methanol molecule per formula unit. It shows the typical keto form of N‐acylthioureas with a protonated central N atom. The structures of both acylthiourea fragments come close to E,Z′‐configurations.  相似文献

Copolymers of styrene and methyl methacrylate were synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization using methyl 2‐bromopropionate as initiator and CuBr/N,N,N′,N′,N″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine as catalyst. Molecular weight distributions were determined by gel permeation chromatography. The composition of the copolymer was determined by 1H NMR. The comonomer reactivity ratios, determined by both Kelen–Tudos and nonlinear error‐in‐variables methods, were rS = 0.64 ± 0.08, rM = 0.63 ± 0.08 and rS = 0.66, rM = 0.65, respectively. The α‐methyl and carbonyl carbon resonances were found to be compositionally and configurationally sensitive. Complete spectral assignments of the 1H and 13C NMR spectra of the copolymers were done by distortionless enhancement by polarization transfer and two‐dimensional NMR techniques such as heteronuclear single quantum coherence and heteronuclear multiple quantum coherence. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We employed for the first time double click reactions: Cu(I) catalyzed azide‐alkyne 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition and Diels–Alder (4 + 2) reactions for the preparation of H‐shaped polymer possessing pentablocks with different chemical nature (H‐shaped quintopolymer) using one‐pot technique. H‐shaped quintopolymer consists of poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG)‐poly(methylmethacrylate) (PMMA) and poly(ε‐caprolactone) (PCL)‐polystyrene (PS) blocks as side chains and poly (tert‐butylacrylate) (PtBA) as a main chain. For the preparation of H‐shaped quintopolymer, PEG‐b‐PMMA and PCL‐b‐PS copolymers with maleimide and alkyne functional groups at their centers, respectively, were synthesized and simply reacted in one‐pot with PtBA with α‐anthracene‐ω‐azide end functionalities in N,N‐dimethylformamide (DMF) using CuBr/N,N,N′,N″,N″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (PMDETA) as catalyst at 120 °C for 48 h. The precursors and the target H‐shaped quintopolymer were characterized comprehensively by 1H NMR, UV, FTIR, GPC, and triple detection GPC. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Copolymers of methyl methacrylate (MMA) and n‐butyl acrylate (n‐BA) were synthesized under atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) conditions. The molar infeed ratio was varied to obtain copolymers with different compositions. Methyl 2‐bromo propionate was used as the initiator with CuBr/Cu(0)/N,N,N′,N″,N″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine as the catalyst at 60 °C. Molecular weight distribution was determined by gel permeation chromatography (GPC). Copolymer compositions (FM) were calculated from 1H NMR spectra. Reactivity ratios calculated with the Mao–Huglin terminal model at a high conversion were found to be rM = 2.17 and rB = 0.47. The polymerization mechanism was studied with the α‐methyl region of MMA. The backbone methylene and carbonyl carbons of both MMA and n‐BA units were found to be compositionally as well as configurationally sensitive. Complete spectral assignments were performed with the help of heteronuclear single quantum coherence (HSQC) spectroscopy along with total correlated spectroscopy (TOCSY). Further, the assignments of the carbonyl region were made with the help of heteronuclear multiple quantum coherence (HMBC) spectroscopy. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This communication describes the direct polycondensation of carbon dioxide with p- and m-xylylene glycols using the system trisubstituted phosphine/carbon tetrahalide/base as a condensing agent. The polymerization reaction of carbon dioxide with p-xylylene glycol was carried out in the presence of the condensing agent in N,N-dimethylformamide. The yield was at most 81.0% obtained by using the condensing agent tributylphosphine/carbon tetrabromide/N-cyclohexyl-N′,N′,N″,N″-tetramethylguanidine (CyTMG). The structure of the product was determined by means of 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and IR spectroscopy to be that of a polycarbonate. The molecular weight was estimated to be ca. 1 000–2 000 by 1H NMR analyses.  相似文献

In this study, the polymerization of (2‐hydroxyethyl) acrylate (HEA), in polar media, using Cu(0)‐mediated radical polymerization also called single‐electron transfer–living radical polymerization (SET‐LRP) is reported. The kinetics aspects of both the homopolymerization and the copolymerization from a poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) macroinitiator were analyzed by 1H NMR. The effects of both the ligand and the solvent were studied. The polymerization was shown to reach very high monomer conversions and to proceed in a well‐controlled fashion in the presence of tris[2‐(dimethylamino)ethyl]amine Me6‐TREN and N, N,N′, N″, N″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (PMDETA) in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO). SET‐LRP of HEA was also led in water, and it was shown to be faster than in DMSO. In pure water, Me6‐TREN allowed a better control over the molar masses and polydispersity indices than PMDETA and TREN. Double hydrophilic PEO‐b‐PHEA block copolymers, exhibiting various PHEA block lengths up to 100 HEA units, were synthesized, in the same manner, from a bromide‐terminated PEO macroinitiator. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 1, 3‐Diaminobenzene reacts readily with PPh2Cl to give N, N, N′, N′‐tetrakis(diphenylphosphanyl)‐1, 3‐diaminobenzene ( 1 ) in excellent yield. The dinuclear complex [1, 3‐{cis‐Mo(CO)4(PPh2)2N}2C6H4] ( 2 ) is obtained in high yield from 1 and cis‐[Mo(CO)4(NCEt)2]. Compounds 1 and 2 were characterized by NMR spectroscopy (1H, 13C, 31P) and by crystal structure determination. The latter shows the formation of a bis‐chelate complex with Mo‐P‐N‐P four‐membered rings.  相似文献

Graft copolymers of ethyl cellulose with azobenzene‐containing polymethacrylates were synthesized through atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). The residual hydroxyl groups on ethyl cellulose were first esterified with 2‐bromoisobutyryl bromide to yield 2‐bromoisobutyryloxy groups, which was then used to initiate the polymerization of 6‐[4‐(4‐methoxyphenylazo)phenoxy]hexyl methacrylate (MMAzo) in the presence of CuBr/N,N,N′,N″,N″‐pentamethylenetriamine (PMDETA) as catalyst and anisole as solvent. The graft copolymers were characterized by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and 1H‐NMR. The molecular weights of the graft copolymers increased relatively to the macroinitiator, and the polydispersities were narrow. The thermal and liquid crystalline property of the graft copolymers were investigated by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and polarizing optical microscope (POM). Photoresponsive property was studied under the irradiation of UV–vis light in THF solution. The graft copolymers have potential applications, including sensors and optical materials. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 45: 1653–1660, 2007  相似文献

A semi‐bio‐based synergist (N, N′, N″‐1, 3, 5‐triazine‐2, 4, 6‐triyltris‐glycine [TTG]) was prepared by using glycine and cyanuric chloride. The structure of TTG was characterized by 1H NMR and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The TTG was applied in polypropylene (PP)/intumescent flame‐retardant compounds to improve its flame retardancy. The flame‐retardant properties of PP compounds were evaluated by limiting oxygen index and vertical burning tests (UL‐94). The results showed that 17 wt% intumescent flame‐retardant and 1 wt% TTG makes PP achieve the UL‐94 V‐0 rating without drippings, and the limiting oxygen index value is increased to 29.5 vol%. The thermal degradation behavior and char morphology of PP compounds were investigated by thermogravimetric analysis and scanning electron microscopy. The results indicated that TTG accelerates the formation of char layer, regulates the porous structure of char layer, and enhances its barrier property. Therefore, the temperatures of PP compound after two ignitions during the UL‐94 test are decreased significantly as shown in infrared thermal imaging. In addition, the combustion characteristics of PP compounds were investigated by cone calorimeter. The peak of heat release rate (PHRR) of PP compound is 67% reduced, and the tPHRR is delayed from 223 to 430 seconds, indicates that the combustion risk of PP compound is reduced.  相似文献

H‐shaped ABCAB terpolymers composed of polystyrene (PS) (A), poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) (B), and poly(tert‐butyl acrylate) (PtBA) (C) were prepared by atom transfer radical coupling reaction using ABC star terpolymers as precursors, CuBr and N,N,N′,N″,N″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (PMDETA) as catalysts, and nanosize copper as the reducing agent. The synthesis of 3‐miktoarm star terpolymer PS‐PEO‐(PtBA‐Br) involved following steps: (1) the preparation of PS with an active and an ethoxyethyl‐ptotected hydroxyl group at the same end; (2) the preparation of diblock copolymer PS‐b‐PEO with ethoxyethyl‐protected group at the junction point through the ring‐opening polymerization (ROP) of EO; (3) after de‐protection of ethoxyethyl group and further modification of hydroxyl group, tBA was polymerized by atom transfer radical polymerization using PS‐b‐PEO with 2‐bromoisobutyryl functional group as macroinitiator. The H‐shaped terpolymer could be successfully formed by atom transfer radical coupling reaction in the presence of small quantity of styrene, CuBr/PMDETA, and Cu at 90 °C. The copolymers were characterized by SEC, 1H NMR, and FTIR in detail. The optimized coupling temperature is 90 °C. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. N‐vinyl‐2‐pyrrolidone/methyl acrylate (V/M) copolymers were prepared by free‐radical bulk polymerization using benzoyl peroxide as an initiator. The copolymer composition of these copolymers was calculated from 1H NMR spectra. The radical reactivity ratios for N‐vinyl‐2‐pyrrolidone (V) and methyl acrylate (M) were rV = 0.09, rM = 0.44. These reactivity ratios for the copolymerization of V and M were determined using the Kelen–Tudos and nonlinear least‐squares error‐in‐variable methods. The 13C{1H} and 1H NMR spectra of these copolymers overlapped and were complex. The complete spectral assignment of the 13C and 1H NMR spectra were done with distortionless enhancement by polarization transfer and two dimensional 13C‐1H heteronuclear single quantum correlation spectroscopic experiments. The two‐dimensional 1H‐1H homonuclear total correlation spectroscopic NMR spectrum showed the various bond interactions, thus inferring the possible structure of the copolymers. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This investigation reports the preparation of tailor‐made poly(2‐ethylhexyl acrylate) (PEHA) prepared via in situ living radical polymerization in the presence of layered silicates and characterization of this polymer/clay nanocomposite. Being a low Tg (?65 °C) material, PEHA has very good film formation property for which it is used in paints, adhesives, and coating applications. 2‐Ethylhexyl acrylate was polymerized at 90 °C using CuBr and Cu(0) as catalyst in combination with N,N,N′,N″,N″‐pentamethyl diethylenetriamine (PMDETA) as ligand. A tremendous enhancement in reaction rate and polymerization data was achieved when acetone was added as additive to increase the efficiency of the catalyst system. PEHA/clay nanocomposite was prepared at 90 °C using CuBr as catalyst in combination with PMDETA as ligand. Different types of clay with same loading were also used to study the effect on reaction rate. The molecular weight (Mn) and polydispersity index of the prepared nanocomposites were characterized by size exclusion chromatography. The active end group of the polymer chain was analyzed by 1H NMR analysis and by chain extension experiment. Polymer/clay interaction was studied by Fourier Transform Infrared spectrometry and wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction analyses. Distribution of clay in the polymer matrix was studied by the transmission electron microscopy. Thermogravimetric analysis showed that thermal stability of PEHA/clay nanocomposite increases on addition of nanoclay. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem, 2011  相似文献
