With a 15M J/ψ inclusive Monte Carlo sample, the absolute branching fraction of J/ψ→γη′ from the J/ψ inclusive photon spectrum is measured to be Br(J/ψ→γη′)= (4.68 ± 0.08± 0.27) × 10-3, which is in good agreement with the input value. The J/ψ→γfJ(2220) is also searched for using the same sample. Under our assumptions, the statistical significanees of J/ψ→γfJ(2220) are larger than 7σ.  相似文献

Based on 9.0×106 J/ψ data collected at BES, a systematic physics analysis has been Performed. We confirmed the existence of ξ(2230) in J/ψ→γKK and observed for the first time the non-strange decay modes ξ(2230)→π+π0π0,and pp. The resonance and polarization parameters of f0(980) and f2(1270) were measured. The moment stUdy on J/ψ→γK+K revealed that the controversial fJ,(1710) is composed of two states, a 0++ and a 2++. With the help of PWA method, the spin-Parities for η(1440) and f0(1500) were obtained, and their main decay modes were found.  相似文献

Cross section production is one of the observable quantities in the hadronic systems. Inclusive cross section production J/ψ may be calculated through the use of the fragmentation c → J/ψ. In this paper we calculate the inclusive cross section production J/ψ about the pole of Z~0 in the e~+e~- annihilation, through the lowest order regim of perturbative of QCD ananlyticaly. The obtained results arrive an excellent agreement with the exprimental data to produce the inclusive cross section production c → J/ψ.  相似文献

The mean multiplicities of mesons π±、π0、K±、K0s、ρ0.K*0、K、φ and baryons p、Ξ±、Σ±(1385) are measured for the first time in J/ψ region with 200,000 J/ψ events collected by the BES detector. The results are compatible with LUND and Shandong phenomenological models. Based on the experimental results, the strangeness suppression factor s/u and spin suppression factor V/(V+P) are calculated to be ~0.3 and ~0.3—0.5 respectively, in good agreement with those given by ARGUS Collaboration in region. This indicates that the SU(6) breaking is consistent in the energy region from J/ψ to .  相似文献

We present a measurement of the inelastic, non diffractive J/ψ photoproduction cross section in the reaction e + pe +J/ψ X with the ZEUS detector at HERA. The J/ψ was identified using both the μ + μ - and e + e - decay channels and events were selected within the range 0.4 < z < 0.9 (0.5 < z < 0.9) for the muon (electron) decay mode, where z is the fraction of the photon energy carried by the J/ψ in the proton rest frame. The cross section, the p T 2 and the z distributions, after having subtracted the contributions from resolved photon and diffractive proton dissociative processes, are given for the photon-proton centre of mass energy range 50 < W < 180 GeV; p T 2 is the square of the J/ψ transverse momentum with respect to the incoming proton beam direction. In the kinematic range 0.4 < z < 0.9 and p T 2 > 1 GeV2, NLO calculations of the photon-gluon fusion process based on the colour-singlet model are in good agreement with the data. The predictions of a specific leading order colour-octet model, as formulated to describe the CDF data on J/ψ hadroproduction, are not consistent with the data.  相似文献

We calculateJ/ψ hadroproduction and emphasize the importance of theJ/ψ signal as a measure ofb \(\bar b\) production via the decayB→ψX and of the gluon structure function at lowx via χ hadroproduction followed by χ→ψγ decay. We compare with UA1 data and data at ISR energies and make predictions for ψ production at TEVATRON energies.  相似文献

The decays of J/ψ → μ^+μ^- and J/ψ → e^+e^- are studied by Monte-Carlo simulation, based on the Beijing Spectrometer (BES)Ⅲ offtine software system. The methods of determination of the J/ψ event number via J/ψ → μ^+μ^- and J/ψ → e^+e^- are presented, respectively. These methods can be used to determine the J/ψ event number for the coming BESⅢ J/ψ data sample.  相似文献

We propose to use transverse momentum p_T distribution of J/ψ production at the future Electron Ion Collider(EIC) to explore the production mechanism of heavy quarkonia in high energy collisions. We apply QCD and QED collinear factorization to the production of a cc pair at high p_T,and non-relativistic QCD factorization to the hadronization of the pair to a J/ψ.We evaluate J/ψ p_T-distribution at both leading and next-to-leading order in strong coupling, and show that production rates for various color-spin channels of a cc pair in electronhadron collisions are very different from that in hadron-hadron collisions, which provides a strong discriminative power to determine various transition rates for the pair to become a J/ψ.We predict that the J/ψ produced in electron-hadron collisions is likely unpolarized, and the production is an ideal probe for gluon distribution of colliding hadron(or nucleus). We find that the J/ψ production is dominated by the color-octet channel, providing an excellent probe to explore the gluon medium in large nuclei at the EIC.  相似文献

A measurement of the number of J/ψ events collected with the BESⅢ detector in 2009 and 2012 is performed using inclusive decays of the J/ψ. The number of J/ψ events taken in 2009 is recalculated to be(223.7±1.4)×10~6, which is in good agreement with the previous measurement, but with significantly improved precision due to improvements in the BESⅢ software. The number of J/ψ events taken in 2012 is determined to be(1086.9±6.0)×10~6. In total, the number of J/ψ events collected with the BESⅢ detector is measured to be(1310.6±7.0)×106, where the uncertainty is dominated by systematic effects and the statistical uncertainty is negligible.  相似文献

Heavy quarkonia production is expected to be sensitive to the formation of a quark gluon plasma (QGP). The PHENIX experiment has measured J/ψ production at  =200 GeV in Au+Au and Cu+Cu collisions, as well as in reference p+p and d+Au runs. J/ψ’s were measured both at mid (|y|<0.35) and forward (1.2<|y|<2.2) rapidity. In this letter, we present the A+A preliminary results and compare them to normal cold nuclear matter expectations derived from PHENIX d+Au and p+p measurements as well as to theoretical models including various effects (color screening, recombination, sequential melting...).  相似文献

The number of J/ψ events collected with the BES0 detector at the BEPC/ from June 12 to July 28, 2009 is determined to be (225:3±2:8)×106 using J/ψ → inclusive events, where the uncertainty is the systematic error and the statistical one is negligible.  相似文献

We study the polarization observables of J/ψ hadroproduction at next-to-leading order within the factorization formalism of nonrelativistic quantum chromodynamics. We complete the present knowledge of the relativistic corrections by also providing the contribution due to the intermediate (3)P(J)([8]) color-octet states at this order, which turns out to be quite significant. Exploiting the color-octet long-distance matrix elements previously extracted through a global fit to experimental data of unpolarized J/ψ production, we provide theoretical predictions in the helicity and Collins-Soper frames and compare them with data taken by CDF at Fermilab Tevatron I and II and by ALICE at CERN LHC. The notorious CDF J/ψ polarization anomaly familiar from leading-order analyses persists at the quantum level, while the situation looks promising for the LHC, which is bound to bring final clarification.  相似文献

We study the m J/ψ pair production issue at the Fermilab Tevatron Run II with a center-of-mass energy of √s=1.96 TeV. Both the color-singlet and color-octet production mechanisms are considered. Our results show that the transverse momentum (pT) scaling behaviors of the double m J/ψ differential cross-sections in the color-singlets and color-octets deviate distinctively from each other while pT is larger than 8 GeV, and with a luminosity of 5 fb-1, the m J/ψ pair events from the color-singlet scheme are substantially measurable in the Tevatron experiments, even with a certain lower transverse momentum cut. Hence the Tevatron is still a possible platform to check the heavy quarkonium production mechanism.  相似文献

We analyze the polarization observables of J/ψ photoproduction at next-to-leading order within the factorization formalism of nonrelativistic quantum chromodynamics (NRQCD). This is a complete next-to-leading-order study of heavy-quarkonium polarization including the full relativistic corrections due to the intermediate (1)S(0)([8]), (3)S(1)([8]), and (3)P(J)([8]) color-octet states closing a gap in the worldwide endeavor to test NRQCD factorization at the quantum level. We present theoretical predictions in the helicity, target, and Collins-Soper frames of DESY HERA, evaluated using the color-octet long-distance matrix elements previously extracted through a global fit to experimental data of unpolarized J/ψ production, and confront them with recent measurements by the H1 and ZEUS Collaborations. We find the overall agreement to be satisfactory but the case for NRQCD to be not as strong as for the J/ψ yield.  相似文献

The ALICE Collaboration has studied J/ψ production in pp collisions at √s=7 TeV at the LHC through its muon pair decay. The polar and azimuthal angle distributions of the decay muons were measured, and results on the J/ψ polarization parameters λ(θ) and λ(φ) were obtained. The study was performed in the kinematic region 2.5相似文献

We compute the effect on the J/ψ production in nucleus-nucleus coollisions of the absorption of the J/ψ inside the colliding nuclei. Using a value of the absorptive J/ψ-nucleon cross section which reproduces the A-dependence of the J/ψ cross section in hadron-nucleus collisions, we obtain much less suppression than that measured by the NA38 Collaboration. The effect due to a strongly absorbed (A0.7) component is also discussed. In order to explain the NA38 results one needs a very large contribution (50%) of the latter component.  相似文献

The cross sections of e+e→hadrons,e+e+μhave been measured in the vicinity of J/ψresonance at BES/BEPC.The fit of the observed cross sections gives the new results of J/ψ resonance parameters:the partial widths to hadrons, electrons and muous are Γh=74.1±8.1keV,Γe= 5.14±0.39keV and Γμ=5.13±0.52keV respectively;the total width Γ=84.4±8.9keV;the branching fractions Γh/Γ=(87.8±0.5)%,Γe/Γ=(6.09± 0.33)%,and Γμ/Γ=(6.08±0.33) %.  相似文献
