We deal with the following parabolic problem, $$(P)\left\{\begin{array}{lll} u_t - \Delta{u} + |\nabla{u}|^q \quad=\quad \lambda{g}(x)u + f(x, t),\quad u > 0 \; {\rm in} \; \Omega \; \times \; (0, T),\\ \qquad\quad\quad\; u(x, t) \quad=\quad 0 \quad{\rm on}\; {\partial}{\Omega}\; \times ; (0, T),\\ \qquad\quad\quad\; u(x, 0) \quad=\quad u_{0}(x), \quad x \in {\Omega},\end{array}\right.$$ where is a bounded regular domain or ${\Omega = \mathbb{R}^N}$ , ${1 < q \leq 2, \lambda > 0\; {\rm and}\; f \geq 0, u_{0} \geq 0}$ are in a suitable class of functions. We give assumptions on g with respect to q for which for all λ >  0 and all ${f \in L^1(\Omega_T ), f \geq 0}$ , problem (P) has a positive solution. Under some additional conditions on the data, the Cauchy problem and the asymptotic behavior of the solution are also considered.  相似文献

In this paper we deal with the following quasilinear parabolic problem $$\left\{\begin{array}{l@{\quad}l} (u^\theta)_t - \Delta_p {u} = \lambda \frac{u^{p - 1}}{|x|^{p}} + u^q + f,\,\, u \geq 0 \quad {\rm in} \;\;\Omega \times (0, T),\\ u(x, t) = 0 \quad\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad {\rm on}\; \partial \Omega \times(0, T),\\ u(x, 0) = u_0(x), \,\,\, \qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad x \in\; \Omega,\end{array}\right.$$ where θ is either 1 or (p ? 1), \({N \geq 3, \,\Omega \subset \mathcal{IR}^N}\) is either a bounded regular domain containing the origin or \({\Omega \equiv \mathcal{IR}^N}\) , 1 < p < N, q > 0 and u 0 ≥  0, f ≥  0 with suitable hypotheses. The aim of this work is to get natural conditions to show the existence or the nonexistence of nonnegative solutions. In the case of nonexistence result, we analyze blow-up phenomena for approximated problems in connection with the classical Harnack inequality, in the Moser sense, more precisely in connection with a strong maximum principle. We also study when finite time extinction (1 < p < 2) and finite speed propagation (p > 2) occur related to the reaction power.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a p-Laplacian equation with strong Allee effect growth rate and Dirichlet boundary condition $$\left\{\begin{array}{ll} {\rm div} (|\nabla u|^{p-2} \nabla u) + \lambda f(x,u)=0, &\quad x \in \Omega, \\ u=0, &\quad x \in \partial \Omega, \qquad \qquad ^ {(P_\lambda)} \end{array}\right.$$ where Ω is a bounded smooth domain in ${\mathbb{R}^N}$ for ${N \ge 1, p > 1}$ , and λ is a positive parameter. By using variational methods and a suitable truncation technique, we prove that problem (P λ) has at least two positive solutions for large parameter and it has no positive solutions for small parameter. In addition, a nonexistence result is investigated.  相似文献

We consider the following q-eigenvalue problem for the p-Laplacian $$\left\{\begin{array}{ll}-{\rm div}\big( |\nabla u|^{p-2}\nabla u\big) = \lambda \|u\|_{L^{q}(\Omega)}^{p-q}|u|^{q-2}u \quad \quad\, {\rm in} \,\,\,\, \Omega\\ \quad\quad\quad \quad \quad \quad u = 0 \quad\qquad\qquad \quad\quad \,\,{\rm on } \,\,\,\, \partial\Omega,\end{array}\right.$$ where \({\lambda\in\mathbb{R},}\) p > 1, Ω is a bounded and smooth domain of \({\mathbb{R}^{N},}\) N > 1, \({1\leq q < p^{\star}}\) , \({p^{\star}=\frac{Np}{N-p}}\) if p < N and \({p^{\star}=\infty}\) if \({p\geq N.}\) Let λ q denote the first q-eigenvalue. We prove that in the super-linear case, \({p < q < p^{\star},}\) there exists \({\epsilon_{q}>0}\) such that if \({\lambda\in(\lambda_{q},\lambda _{q}+\epsilon_{q})}\) is a q-eigenvalue, then any corresponding q-eigenfunction does not change sign in Ω. As a consequence of this result we obtain, in the super-linear case, the isolatedness of λ q for those Ω such that the Lane–Emden problem $$\left\{\begin{array}{ll}-{\rm div}\big(|\nabla u|^{p-2}\nabla u\big) = |u|^{q-2}u \qquad\quad\quad\quad \,\,{\rm in}\,\,\,\Omega\\ \quad\quad\quad \quad \quad \quad u = 0 \quad\qquad\qquad \quad\quad \,{\rm on } \,\,\, \partial\Omega,\end{array}\right.$$ has exactly one positive solution.  相似文献

We study the following nonlinear elliptic system of Lane–Emden type $$\left\{\begin{array}{ll} -\Delta u = {\rm sgn}(v) |v| ^{p-1} \qquad \qquad \qquad \; {\rm in} \; \Omega , \\ -\Delta v = - \lambda {\rm sgn} (u)|u| \frac{1}{p-1} + f(x, u)\; \; {\rm in}\; \Omega , \\ u = v = 0 \qquad \qquad \qquad \quad \quad \;\;\;\;\; {\rm on}\; \partial \Omega , \end{array}\right.$$ where ${\lambda \in \mathbb{R}}$ . If ${\lambda \geq 0}$ and ${\Omega}$ is an unbounded cylinder, i.e., ${\Omega = \tilde \Omega \times \mathbb{R}^{N-m} \subset \mathbb{R}^{N}}$ , ${N - m \geq 2, m \geq 1}$ , existence and multiplicity results are proved by means of the Principle of Symmetric Criticality and some compact imbeddings in partially spherically symmetric spaces. We are able to state existence and multiplicity results also if ${\lambda \in \mathbb{R}}$ and ${\Omega}$ is a bounded domain in ${\mathbb{R}^{N}, N \geq 3}$ . In particular, a good finite dimensional decomposition of the Banach space in which we work is given.  相似文献

In this paper, the authors establish the existence of at least three weak solutions for the Kirchhoff-type problem $$\left\{\begin{array}{ll}-K \left( \int_{\Omega}| \nabla u(x)|^{2}dx \right) \Delta u(x)= \lambda f(x,u)+\mu g(x,u),\quad {\rm in}\; \Omega,\\u=0, \qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\quad\quad {\rm on}\; \partial \Omega, \end{array} \right.$$ under appropriate hypotheses. The proofs are based on variational methods.  相似文献

Using variational methods, we study the existence and nonexistence of nontrivial weak solutions for the quasilinear elliptic system $$\left\{\begin{array}{ll}- {\rm div}(h_1(|\nabla u|^2)\nabla u) = \frac{\mu}{|x|^2}u + \lambda F_u(x, u, \upsilon)\quad {\rm in}\,\Omega,\\- {\rm div}(h_2(|\nabla \upsilon|^2)\nabla \upsilon) = \frac{\mu}{|x|^2}\upsilon + \lambda F_\upsilon(x,u,\upsilon)\quad {\rm in}\,\Omega,\\u = \upsilon = 0 \qquad \qquad \qquad \qquad \qquad \qquad {\rm in}\, \partial\Omega, \end{array}\right.$$ where \({\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^N,N \geq 3}\) , is a bounded domain containing the origin with smooth boundary \({\partial \Omega ; h_i, i = 1, 2}\) , are nonhomogeneous potentials; \({(F_u, F_v) = \nabla F}\) stands for the gradient of a sign-changing C 1-function \({F : \Omega \times \mathbb{R}^2 \to \mathbb{R}}\) in the variable \({{w = (u, v) \in \mathbb{R}^2}}\) ; and λ and μ are parameters.  相似文献

In the present paper, by applying variant mountain pass theorem and Ekeland variational principle we study the existence of multiple nontrivial solutions for a class of Kirchhoff type problems with concave nonlinearity $$ \left\{\begin{array}{ll} -(a + b \int\nolimits_{\Omega} |\nabla{u}|^{2})\triangle{u} = \alpha(x)|u|^{q-2}u + f(x, u),\quad{\rm in}\;\Omega,\\ u = 0,\;\quad\qquad\quad\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad{\rm on}\;\partial\Omega, \end{array} \right. $$ A new existence theorem and an interesting corollary of four nontrivial solutions are obtained.  相似文献

For Ω a bounded subset of R n,n 2,ψ any function in Ω with values in R∪{±∞}andθ∈W1,(q i)(Ω),let K(q i)ψ,θ(Ω)={v∈W1,(q i)(Ω):vψ,a.e.and v-θ∈W1,(q i)0(Ω}.This paper deals with solutions to K(q i)ψ,θ-obstacle problems for the A-harmonic equation-divA(x,u(x),u(x))=-divf(x)as well as the integral functional I(u;Ω)=Ωf(x,u(x),u(x))dx.Local regularity and local boundedness results are obtained under some coercive and controllable growth conditions on the operator A and some growth conditions on the integrand f.  相似文献

We consider weak solutions ${u \in u_0 + W^{1,2}_0(\Omega,\mathbb{R}^N) \cap L^{\infty}(\Omega,\mathbb{R}^N)}$ of second-order nonlinear elliptic systems of the type $$- {\rm div} \,a (\, \cdot \,, u, Du ) = b(\, \cdot \,,u,Du)\qquad \text{ in }\Omega$$ with an inhomogeneity satisfying a natural growth condition. In dimensions ${n \in \{2,3,4\}}$ , we show that ${\mathcal{H}^{n-1}}$ -almost every boundary point is a regular point for Du, provided that the boundary data and the coefficients are sufficiently smooth.  相似文献

We established the existence of weak solutions of the fourth-order elliptic equation of the form $$\begin{aligned} \Delta ^2 u -\Delta u + a(x)u = \lambda b(x) f(u) + \mu g (x, u), \qquad x \in \mathbb{R }^N, u \in H^2(\mathbb{R }^N), \end{aligned}$$ where $\lambda $ is a positive parameter, $a(x)$ and $b(x)$ are positive functions, while $f : \mathbb{R }\rightarrow \mathbb{R }$ is sublinear at infinity and superlinear at the origin. In particular, by using Ricceri’s recent three critical points theorem, we show that the problem has at least three solutions.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the regularity of solutions for the following degenerate partial differential equation $$\left \{\begin{array}{ll} -\Delta_p u + u = f \qquad {\rm in} \,\Omega,\\ \frac{\partial u}{\partial \nu} = 0 \qquad \qquad \,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\, {\rm on} \,\partial \Omega, \end{array}\right.$$ when ${f \in L^q(\Omega), p > 2}$ and q ≥ 2. If u is a weak solution in ${W^{1, p}(\Omega)}$ , we obtain estimates for u in the Nikolskii space ${\mathcal{N}^{1+2/r,r}(\Omega)}$ , where r = q(p ? 2) + 2, in terms of the L q norm of f. In particular, due to imbedding theorems of Nikolskii spaces into Sobolev spaces, we conclude that ${\|u\|^r_{W^{1 + 2/r - \epsilon, r}(\Omega)} \leq C(\|f\|_{L^q(\Omega)}^q + \| f\|^{r}_{L^q(\Omega)} + \|f\|^{2r/p}_{L^q(\Omega)})}$ for every ${\epsilon > 0}$ sufficiently small. Moreover, we prove that the resolvent operator is continuous and compact in ${W^{1,r}(\Omega)}$ .  相似文献

We treat the partial regularity of locally bounded local minimizers $u$ for the $p(x)$ -energy functional $$\begin{aligned} \mathcal{E }(v;\Omega ) = \int \left( g^{\alpha \beta }(x)h_{ij}(v) D_\alpha v^i (x) D_\beta v^j (x) \right) ^{p(x)/2} dx, \end{aligned}$$ defined for maps $v : \Omega (\subset \mathbb R ^m) \rightarrow \mathbb R ^n$ . Assuming the Lipschitz continuity of the exponent $p(x) \ge 2$ , we prove that $u \in C^{1,\alpha }(\Omega _0)$ for some $\alpha \in (0,1)$ and an open set $\Omega _0 \subset \Omega $ with $\dim _\mathcal{H }(\Omega \setminus \Omega _0) \le m-[\gamma _1]-1$ , where $\dim _\mathcal{H }$ stands for the Hausdorff dimension, $[\gamma _1]$ the integral part of $\gamma _1$ , and $\gamma _1 = \inf p(x)$ .  相似文献

We discuss the spectrum of a symmetric elliptic differential operator A with domain \(\mathop {H^m }\limits^o (\Omega ) \cap H^{2m} (\Omega )\) in regions Ω with unbounded boundary \(\dot \Omega \) , where are \(\bar \Omega \) uniformely of class C2m and on \(\dot \Omega \) the normal condition x·ν(x)≦μ for sufficient small positiveμ. We prove the A-priori-estimate \(\parallel u\parallel _{m,\Omega } \leqq c\parallel (l + r) (A - k)u\parallel _{o,\Omega } \) and show for all k>k, k≧0 suitable, there are no eigenvalues of A and by characterizing weighted Sobolev spaces with negative norm the existence of solutions \((l + r)_2 ^{ - 1} u \in \mathop H\limits^0{^m} (\Omega ) \cap H^{2m} (\Omega )\) of the equation (A?k)u=f, (1+r)f∈L2(Ω).  相似文献

For integral functionals initially defined for ${u \in {\rm W}^{1,1}(\Omega; \mathbb{R}^m)}$ by $$\int_{\Omega} f(\nabla u) \, {\rm d}x$$ we establish strict continuity and relaxation results in ${{\rm BV}(\Omega; \mathbb{R}^m)}$ . The results cover the case of signed continuous integrands ${f : \mathbb{R}^{m \times d} \to \mathbb{R}}$ of linear growth at infinity. In particular, it is not excluded that the integrands are unbounded below.  相似文献

The initial-value problem for $$u_t=-\Delta^2 u - \mu\Delta u - \lambda \Delta |\nabla u|^2 + f(x)\qquad \qquad (\star)$$ is studied under the conditions ${{\frac{\partial}{\partial\nu}} u={\frac{\partial}{\partial\nu}} \Delta u=0}$ on the boundary of a bounded convex domain ${\Omega \subset {\mathbb{R}}^n}$ with smooth boundary. This problem arises in the modeling of the evolution of a thin surface when exposed to molecular beam epitaxy. Correspondingly the physically most relevant spatial setting is obtained when n?=?2, but previous mathematical results appear to concentrate on the case n?=?1. In this work, it is proved that when n??? 3,??? ?? 0, ???>?0 and ${f \in L^\infty(\Omega)}$ satisfies ${{\int_\Omega} f \ge 0}$ , for each prescribed initial distribution ${u_0 \in L^\infty(\Omega)}$ fulfilling ${{\int_\Omega} u_0 \ge 0}$ , there exists at least one global weak solution ${u \in L^2_{loc}([0,\infty); W^{1,2}(\Omega))}$ satisfying ${{\int_\Omega} u(\cdot,t) \ge 0}$ for a.e. t?>?0, and moreover, it is shown that this solution can be obtained through a Rothe-type approximation scheme. Furthermore, under an additional smallness condition on??? and ${\|f\|_{L^\infty(\Omega)}}$ , it is shown that there exists a bounded set ${S\subset L^1(\Omega)}$ which is absorbing for ${(\star)}$ in the sense that for any such solution, we can pick T?>?0 such that ${e^{2\lambda u(\cdot,t)}\in S}$ for all t?>?T, provided that ?? is a ball and u 0 and f are radially symmetric with respect to x?=?0. This partially extends similar absorption results known in the spatially one-dimensional case. The techniques applied to derive appropriate compactness properties via a priori estimates include straightforward testing procedures which lead to integral inequalities involving, for instance, the functional ${{\int_\Omega} e^{2\lambda u}dx}$ , but also the use of a maximum principle for second-order elliptic equations.  相似文献

In this paper, firstly, we investigate a class of singular eigenvalue problems with the perturbed Hardy–Sobolev operator, and obtain some properties of the eigenvalues and the eigenfunctions. (i.e. existence, simplicity, isolation and comparison results). Secondly, applying these properties of eigenvalue problem, and the linking theorem for two symmetric cones in Banach space, we discuss the following singular elliptic problem $$\left\{\begin{array}{ll}-\Delta_{p}u-a(x)\frac{|u|^{p-2}u}{|x|^{p}}= \lambda \eta(x)|u|^{p-2}u+ f(x,u) \quad x \in \Omega, \\ u =0 \quad\quad\quad\quad\quad\quad\quad x\in\partial \Omega, \end{array} \right.$$ where ${a(x)=(\frac{n-p}{p})^{p}q(x),}$ if 1 < p < n, ${a(x)=(\frac{n-1}{n})^{n} \frac{q(x)}{({\rm log}\frac{R}{|x|})^{n}},}$ if p = n, and prove the existence of a nontrivial weak solution for any ${\lambda \in \mathbb{R}.}$   相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to use variational methods in the study of problems of following type: $$\left\{ {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {Lu = \lambda f(x,u) in \Omega } \\ {u = 0 on \partial \Omega } \\ \end{array} } \right.$$ Here Ω is supposed to be a bounded domain with smooth boundary ? Ω,L an elliptic operator, λ∈IR andf(x, t) a real function defined on \(\tilde \Omega \times IR\) having one or several simple discontinuities ont. Mainly we are interested in solutions which satisfy (.) a. e., which are most meaningful in physical problems, and we prove various existence theorems for several choices ofL, f and λ. The main difficulty consists in the fact that the functionals related to (.) are not Fréchet differentiable in every point, sincef is discontinuous.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to investigate the existence of solutions of the semilinear elliptic problem $$\left\{\begin{array}{ll} -\Delta u\ =\ p(x, u) + \varepsilon g(x, u)\quad {\rm in}\,\, \Omega, \\ u=0 \quad\quad\quad\quad\quad\quad\quad\quad\quad\,\,\,\,\,\,{\rm on}\,\, \partial\Omega, \end{array} \right. \quad\quad\quad(0.1) $$ where Ω is an open bounded domain of ${\mathbb{R}^N}$ , ${\varepsilon\in\mathbb{R}, p}$ is subcritical and asymptotically linear at infinity, and g is just a continuous function. Even when this problem has not a variational structure on ${H^1_0(\Omega)}$ , suitable procedures and estimates allow us to prove that the number of distinct critical levels of the functional associated to the unperturbed problem is “stable” under small perturbations, in particular obtaining multiplicity results if p is odd, both in the non-resonant and in the resonant case.  相似文献

In this paper we deal with local estimates for parabolic problems in ${\mathbb{R}^N}$ with absorbing first order terms, whose model is $$\left\{\begin{array}{l@{\quad}l}u_t- \Delta u +u |\nabla u|^q = f(t,x) \quad &{\rm in}\, (0,T) \times \mathbb{R}^N\,,\\u(0,x)= u_0 (x) &{\rm in}\, \mathbb{R}^N \,,\quad\end{array}\right.$$ where ${T >0 , \, N\geq 2,\, 1 < q \leq 2,\, f(t,x)\in L^1\left( 0,T; L^1_{\rm loc} \left(\mathbb{R}^N\right)\right)}$ and ${u_0\in L^1_{\rm loc}\left(\mathbb{R}^{N}\right)}$ .  相似文献
