通过对重复频率为1 kHz的放大飞秒激光脉冲的光谱干涉实验,结合傅里叶变换进行了载波包络相位漂移的实验研究.在此基础上利用锁相环反馈控制技术实现了对载波包络相位的精密锁定,锁定后的激光脉冲稳态相位均方根误差小于80mrad,锁定时间超过3h.同时在理论上分析了光谱干涉测量放大激光脉冲载波包络相位的原理,给出了光谱干涉信号与载波包络相位的关系. 关键词: 飞秒钛宝石放大器 载波包络相位 光谱干涉 超连续  相似文献

提出了一种新的超短放大脉冲的载波-包络相位还原方法,应用小波变换从超短放大脉冲的光谱拍频干涉中直接提取载波-包络相位. 消除了传统的Fourier变换方法不同宽度的滤波窗口引入不同程度的相位噪声而产生不确定性的影响,得到了更精确的载波-包络相位信息,对于近单周期超短脉冲特性测量具有重要意义. 关键词: 超短脉冲 载波-包络相位 相位还原 小波变换  相似文献

We correct the spectral phases of amplified femtosecond pulses by using a deformable mirror in the stretcher. After the correction the peak intensity is multiplied by 1.5 as a consequence of increasing the contrast by 100x . The spectral phase interferometry for direct electric field reconstruction is used to characterize the pulse temporally.  相似文献

The carrier-envelope phase (CEP) characteristics of the tunable infrared laser pulses from a noncollinear optical parametric amplifier (OPA) with passively stabilized CEP are investigated experimentally. We compare the CEP fluctuation of different wavelength outputs from the OPA which is seeded by the idler pulse of a difference frequency generation (DFG) process. It is found that when the OPA output is tuned to a longer wavelength, the CEP fluctuation becomes less sensitive to the jitter of laser intensity and the phase mismatch, and therefore more stable CEP for the longer wavelength output pulses is realized.  相似文献

Ultrabroadband pulses exhibit a frequency-dependent mode size owing to the wavelength dependence of free-space diffraction. Additionally, rather complex lateral dependence of the temporal pulse shape has been reported for Kerr-lens mode-locked lasers and broadband amplifier chains and in frequency-domain pulse shapers, for example. We demonstrate an ultrashort-pulse characterization technique that reveals lateral pulse-shape variations by spatially resolved amplitude and phase measurements by use of spectral phase interferometry for direct electric-field reconstruction (SPIDER). Unlike with autocorrelation techniques, with SPIDER we can obtain spatially resolved pulse characterization even after the nonlinear process. Thus, with this method the spectral phase of the pulse can be resolved very rapidly along one lateral beam axis in a single measurement.  相似文献

Programmable spectral phase modulation of femtosecond pulses by use of a nonpixelated spatial light modulator is reported. This light valve, based on the optical addressing of a continuous layer of liquid crystal, allows the operation of spectral phase modulation when optical frequency components are spatially dispersed within a grating-and-lenses pulse-shaping apparatus. Characterization and feedback control of this device were determined by use of spectral interferometry. Demonstrations of the capabilities of this device are given in the spectral and the temporal domains, and recompression of chirped pulses was performed.  相似文献

We describe the programmable spatial beam shaping of 100-kHz, 4-microJ amplified femtosecond pulses in a focal plane by wave-front modulation. Phase distributions are determined by a numerical iterative procedure. A nonpixelated optically addressed liquid-crystal light valve is used as a programmable wave-front tailoring device. Top-hat, doughnut, square, and triangle shapes of 20-microm size are obtained in a focal plane. Their suitability for femtosecond laser machining is demonstrated.  相似文献

We investigate theoretically the high-order harmonic generation driven by few-cycle laser pulses with intensities above the saturated intensity using the Lewenstein model. It is found that the carrier-envelope phase of the laser pulse has great influences on the coherence of the high-order harmonic spectrum in the plateau region when driven by a relatively weaker driver field in the oversaturated regime. While for a much higher intensity the coherence of the high-order harmonic spectrum is almost independent on the carrier-envelope phase.  相似文献

Phase properties of optical thin film interference filters are discussed from the aspect of their usage for phase-error free wavelength separation of broadband femtosecond laser pulses. It is shown that both transmissive or reflective interference filters with high contrast ratios exhibit high cubic phase shifts on transmission or reflection, respectively, causing intolerable distortion in the temporal pulse shape. We show, however, that high efficiency wavelength separation of broadband femtosecond laser pulses can be achieved by using low contrast, properly designed reflective optical interference filters directly built into the cavity of the broad spectrum, femtosecond pulse lasers or parametric oscillators. For demonstrative purposes, we implemented the idea for a Kerr-lens mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser, and obtained two-color, inherently synchronized, unchirped, femtosecond pulse outputs from a single laser oscillator.  相似文献

Measurement of the temporal (spectral) phase and amplitude of a 50 fs laser pulse approaching and exceeding the critical power for self-focusing (P(crit)) in air reveals the formation of an isolated 17 fs pulse at 3P(crit). The dynamics of self-shortening are measured directly in the filament using transient-grating cross-correlation frequency-resolved optical gating with a noble gas serving as the nonlinear medium. Our results support recent filamentary propagation simulations, suggesting that a Kerr-dominated temporal reshaping process toward the end of the filament is largely responsible for the generation of short pulses.  相似文献

We present a multipass femtosecond amplifier pumped by a Nd-YAG laser where the gain medium is given by a variable length dye cell. This system allows amplification factors up to 5 · 106 and output pulse energies of 150 J, while restricting the contribution of amplified spontaneous emission to 0.5% of the total output energy, without using any saturable absorber stage. A detailed study of the output pulsewidth as a function of the duration of the input chirped pulse is also presented.  相似文献

We present energy-resolved cross-correlation measurements of an extreme ultraviolet (XUV) pulse, generated as the fifth harmonic (15.5 eV) of an intense 80 fs laser pulse centered at 400 nm. Spectrally resolving the cross-correlation signal allows us to characterize the time-dependent frequency of the XUV pulse. We find that the fifth harmonic has a small negative chirp in excess of that predicted by perturbation theory. In addition, by manipulating the chirp of the driving laser we can induce and measure a positive or a negative chirp on the XUV pulse.  相似文献

A novel method for ultrashort IR pulse characterization is presented. The technique utilizes a frequency-resolved pump-probe geometry that is common in applications of ultrafast spectroscopy, without any modifications of the setup. Computer simulation of the response (polarization) of three-level systems (for example, of quantum dots) with the common upper level (the Λ-scheme) was carried out for devices of long-term memory with femtosecond driving and signal pulses. For producing an efficient response, the pulse area should be on the order of π. Under the action of the first driving pulse on the 1–2 transition and the simultaneous action of the probe pulse on the 3–2 transition, a long-lived polarization with the lifetime dependent on the lifetimes of the lower (1 and 3) levels appears owing to the nonlinear interference effect. Under the action of the second driving pulse, a signal pulse appears on the 3–2 transition, whose amplitude is proportional to the amplitude of the input probe pulse and exponentially decreases with the delay time between the first and the second driving pulses. The set of equations for the density matrix was solved numerically in the semiclassical approximation and in the rotating wave approximation. The temporal evolution of the nondiagonal matrix elements reflects the temporal evolution of the nonlinear polarization. The polarization spectrum is found by the Fourier transform of the time dependence of the nondiagonal elements. The polarization spectrum (the power spectrum) possesses an interference structure with a fringe period governed by the delay time between the first and the second driving pulses. The inverse Fourier transform reconstructs the temporal shape of the pulses.  相似文献

We propose and demonstrate an ultrabroadband concept to characterize amplitude and phase changes of femtosecond pulses. The radiation is superimposed with the first subharmonic spectral components from the same laser source. This effective ω/2ω pulse pair induces a coherently controlled charge current in a time-integrating semiconductor detector. An interferometric variation of the time delay between the harmonically related components then reveals the electric field of the 2ω part. This method is realized with the second harmonic of a compact Er:fiber source centered at 390 THz and a GaAs-based detector. Most strikingly, it is sensitive to ~π/20 phase changes and can be utilized to analyze femtojoule pulses.  相似文献

An interferometric method is presented to characterize the most important parameters of beams from large aperture femtosecond excimer laser systems. With the use of a special interferometer the shape of both the pulse and the phase fronts can simultaneously be studied. With minor changes, conventional autocorrelation measurements can also be performed.  相似文献
