The operad Lie can be constructed as the operad of primitives PrimAs from the operad As of associative algebras. This is reflected by the theorems of Friedrichs, Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt and Cartier-Milnor-Moore. We replace the operad As by families of free operads P, which include the operad Mag freely generated by a non-commutative non-associative binary operation and the operad of Stasheff polytopes. We obtain Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt type theorems and collect information about the operads PrimP, e.g., in terms of characteristic functions.  相似文献

For any commutative algebra R the shuffle product on the tensor module T(R) can be deformed to a new product. It is called the quasi-shuffle algebra, or stuffle algebra, and denoted T q (R). We show that if R is the polynomial algebra, then T q (R) is free for some algebraic structure called Commutative TriDendriform (CTD-algebras). This result is part of a structure theorem for CTD-bialgebras which are associative as coalgebras and whose primitive part is commutative. In other words, there is a good triple of operads (As, CTD, Com) analogous to (Com, As, Lie). In the last part we give a similar interpretation of the quasi-shuffle algebra in the noncommutative setting.  相似文献

Using a cell model for the little discs operad in terms of spineless cacti we give a minimal common topological operadic formalism for three a priori disparate algebraic structures: (1) a solution to Deligne’s conjecture on the Hochschild complex, (2) the Hopf algebra of Connes and Kreimer, and (3) the string topology of Chas and Sullivan.  相似文献

The classical theorem of Cartier-Milnor-Moore-Quillen gives an equivalence between the category of connected cocommutative bialgebras and the category of Lie algebras. We establish an analogous equivalence between the category of connected dendriform bialegebras and the category of brace algebras. It is given by the primitive elements functor and the “enveloping dendriform algebra” of a brace algebra.  相似文献

In this paper we describe operads encoding two different kinds of compatibility of algebraic structures. We show that there exist decompositions of these in terms of black and white products and we prove that they are Koszul for a large class of algebraic structures by using the poset method of B. Vallette. In particular we show that this is true for the operads of compatible Lie, associative and pre-Lie algebras.  相似文献

We study representations of distributive -lattices, considered as join-semilattices, by semilattices of finitely generated two-sided ideals of locally matricial algebras over a field k, aiming to find a functorial solution of the problem. We find simple examples of a finite subcategory of the category Ld of distributive -lattices and of a subcategory of Ld corresponding to a partially ordered class which cannot be lifted with respect to the Idc functor. On the other hand, we prove that there is such a lifting of every diagram in Ld or of a subcategory Ld1 of Ld whose objects are all distributive -lattices and whose morphisms are -embeddings. A category of fractions is a special case of acoinverter in the 2-categoryCat. We observe that, in a cartesian closed 2-category, the product of tworeflexive coinverter diagrams is another such diagram. It follows that an equational structure on a categoryA, if given by operationsA n A forn N along with natural transformations and equations, passes canonically to the categoryA [–1] of fractions, provided that is closed under the operations. We show that Verdier duality for certain sheaves on the moduli spaces of graphs associated to differential graded operads corresponds to the cobar-duality of operads (which specializes to Koszul duality for Koszul operads). This in particular gives a conceptual explanation of the appearance of graph cohomology of both the commutative and Lie types in computations of the cohomology of the outer automorphism group of a free group. Another consequence is an explicit computation of dualizing sheaves on spaces of metric graphs, thus characterizing to which extent these spaces are different from oriented orbifolds. We also provide a relation between the cohomology of the space of metric ribbon graphs, known to be homotopy equivalent to the moduli space of Riemann surfaces, and the cohomology of a certain sheaf on the space of usual metric graphs.  相似文献

In order to study the problems of extending an action along a quotient of the acted object and along a quotient of the acting object, we investigate some properties of the fibration of points. In fact, we obtain a characterization of protomodular categories among quasi-pointed regular ones, and, in the semi-abelian case, a characterization of strong protomodular categories. Eventually, we return to the initial questions by stating the results in terms of internal actions.  相似文献

We introduce a new intrinsic definition of fibrations in a 2-category, and show how it may be used (in conjunction with a suitable limit-colimit commutation condition) to define a 2-categorical version of the notion of partial product. We use these notions to show that partial products exist for all fibrations in the 2-category of (small) categories, and to identify the fibrations in the 2-category of toposes and geometric morphisms.  相似文献

Due to the nature of compactness, there are several interesting ways of defining compact objects in a category. In this paper we introduce and study an internal notion of compact objects relative to a closure operator (following the Borel-Lebesgue definition of compact spaces) and a notion of compact objects with respect to a class of morphisms (following Áhn and Wiegandt [2]). Although these concepts seem very different in essence, we show that, in convenient settings, compactness with respect to a class of morphisms can be viewed as Borel-Lebesgue compactness for a suitable closure operator.
