Explicit formula of holomorphic automorphism group on complex homogeneous bounded domains

We known that the maximal connected holomorphic automorphism group Aut (D)(0) is a semi-direct product of the triangle group T(D) and the maximal connected isotropic subgroup Iso(D)(0) of a fixed point in the complex homogeneous bounded domain D and any complex homogeneous bounded domain is holomorphic isomorphic to a normal Siegel domain D(VN,F). In this paper, we give the explicit formula of any holomorphic automorphism in T(D(VN, F)) and Iso(D(VN,F))(0), where G(0) is the unit connected component of the Lie group G.

Weighted Composition Operators from the Bloch Space to Weighted Banach Spaces on Bounded Homogeneous Domains

We study the bounded and the compact weighted composition operators from the Bloch space into the weighted Banach spaces of holomorphic functions on bounded homogeneous domains, with particular attention to the unit polydisk. For bounded homogeneous domains, we characterize the bounded weighted composition operators and determine the operator norm. In addition, we provide sufficient conditions for compactness. For the unit polydisk, we completely characterize the compact weighted composition operators, as well as provide ＂computable＂ estimates on the operator norm.     

Affine Versions of Singer's Theorem on Locally Homogeneous Spaces

A theorem of Singer says that an infinitesimaly homogeneous Riemannian manifold is locally homogeneous. We propose two result on affine connections similar to the theorem of Singer. As an application we prove a theorem giving a sufficient condition for local homogeneity in case of affine connections on 2-dimensional manifolds.

Uniform Approximation of Functions by Polynomial Solutions to Second-Order Elliptic Equations on Compact Sets in ℝ2

In this paper, we study necessary and sufficient conditions for functions to be approximated uniformly on plane compact sets by polynomial solutions to second-order homogeneous elliptic equations with constant coefficients. Sufficient conditions for approximability are of reductive character, i.e., the possibility of approximating on some (simpler) parts of the compact set implies approximability on the entire compact set.

Homogeneous operators and homogeneous integral operators

We introduce and study in a general setting the concept of homogeneity of an operator and, in particular, the notion of homogeneity of an integral operator. In the latter case, homogeneous kernels of such operators are also studied. The concept of homogeneity is associated with transformations of a measure—measure dilations, which are most natural in the context of our general research scheme. For the study of integral operators, the notions of weak and strong homogeneity of the kernel are introduced. The weak case is proved to generate a homogeneous operator in the sense of our definition, while the stronger condition corresponds to the most relevant specific examples—classes of homogeneous integral operators on various metric spaces—and allows us to obtain an explicit general form for the kernels of such operators. The examples given in the article—various specific cases—illustrate general statements and results given in the paper and at the same time are of interest in their own way.     

Characterization of isolated homogeneous hypersurface singularities in C~4 Dedicated to Professor Sheng GONG on the occasion of his 75th birthday

Let V be a hypersurface with an isolated singularity at the origin in Cn 1. It is a natural question to ask when V is defined by weighted homogeneous polynomial or homogeneous polynomial up to biholomorphic change of coordinates. In 1971, a beautiful theorem of Saito gives a necessary and sufficient condition for V to be defined by a weighted homogeneous polynomial. For a two-dimensional isolated hypersurface singularity V, Xu and Yau found a coordinate free characterization for V to be defined by a homogeneous polynomial. Recently Lin and Yau gave necessary and sufficient conditions for a 3-dimensional isolated hypersurface singularity with geometric genus bigger than zero to be defined by a homogeneous polynomial. The purpose of this paper is to prove that Lin-Yau's theorem remains true for singularities with geometric genus equal to zero.     

Homogeneous geodesics in solvable Lie groups

After the second author and J. Szenthe [10] proved that every homogeneous Riemannian manifold admits a homogeneous geodesic, several authors studied the set of all homogeneous geodesics in various homogeneous spaces. In this paper, we consider special examples of homogeneous spaces of solvable type of arbitrary odd dimension given in [1] and [7] and we show that their sets of homogeneous geodesics have an interesting structure, closely connected to the notion of Hadamard matrices.     

Maximal operators on spaces of homogeneous type

We avoid the assumption given in the work of C. Pérez and R. Wheeden (2001) to prove boundedness properties of certain maximal functions in a general setting of the spaces of homogeneous type with infinite measure. In addition, an example shows that the result can be false if the space has finite measure.

     

Extensions of homogeneous polynomials on c 0(l 2 i )

We show that a 2-homogeneous polynomial on the complex Banach space c ₀ l ₂ ⁱ ) is norm attaining if and only if it is finite (i.e, depends only on finite coordinates). As the consequence, we show that there exists a unique norm-preserving extension for norm-attaining 2-homogeneous polynomials on c ₀(l ₂ ⁱ ). Extensions of 2-homogeneous polynomials on <Emphasis Type="Italic">c</Emphasis><Subscript>0</Subscript>

We prove that every 2-homogeneous polynomial on the complex co has a unique normpreserving extension to its bidual l∞.     

Existence of homogeneous vectors on the fiber space of the tangent bundle

Let M = G/K be a homogeneous differentiable manifold. We consider the homogeneous bundle = (G, π, G/K, K) and the tangent bundle τ _G/K of M = G/K, and give some results about the existence of homogeneous vectors on the fiber space of τ _G/K, for both cases of G semisimple and weakly semisimple.
