In the present paper, we consider nonclassical problems for multidimensional elliptic equations. A finite difference method for solving these nonlocal boundary value problems is presented. Stability, almost coercive stability and coercive stability for the solutions of first and second orders of approximation are obtained. The theoretical statements for the solutions of these difference schemes are supported by numerical examples for the two‐dimensional elliptic equations. In this paper, the initial-value problem for integral-differential equation of the hyperbolic type in a Hilbert space H is considered. The unique solvability of this problem is established. The stability estimates for the solution of this problem are obtained. The difference scheme approximately solving this problem is presented. The stability estimates for the solution of this difference scheme are obtained. In applications, the stability estimates for the solutions of the nonlocal boundary problem for one-dimensional integral-differential equation of the hyperbolic type with two dependent limits and of the local boundary problem for multidimensional integral-differential equation of the hyperbolic type with two dependent limits are obtained. The difference schemes for solving these two problems are presented. The stability estimates for the solutions of these difference schemes are obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the approximation of reverse parabolic problem with integral boundary condition. The Rothe difference scheme for an approximate solution of reverse problem is discussed. We establish stability and coercive stability estimates for the solution of the Rothe difference scheme. In sequel, we investigate the first order of accuracy difference scheme for approximation of boundary value problem for multidimensional reverse parabolic equation and obtain stability estimates for its solution. Finally, we give numerical results together with an explanation on the realization in one- and two-dimensional test examples.  相似文献

We study the simplest one-dimensional model of plasma density balance in a tokamak type system, which can be reduced to an initial boundary-value problem for a second-order parabolic equation with implicit degeneration containing nonlocal (integral) operators. The problem of stabilizing nonstationary solutions to stationary ones is reduced to studying the solvability of a nonlinear integro-differential boundary-value problem. We obtain sufficient conditions for the parameters of this boundary-value problem to provide the existence and the uniqueness of a classical stationary solution, and for this solution we obtain the attraction domain by a constructive method.  相似文献

In the theory of finite difference schemes, the most complete results concerning the accuracy of approximate solutions are obtained for two- and three-level finite difference schemes that converge with the first and second order with respect to time. When the Cauchy problem is numerically solved for a system of ordinary differential equations, higher order methods are often used. Using a model problem for a parabolic equation as an example, general requirements for the selection of the finite difference approximation with respect to time are discussed. In addition to the unconditional stability requirements, extra performance criteria for finite difference schemes are presented and the concept of SM stability is introduced. Issues concerning the computational implementation of schemes having higher approximation orders are discussed. From the general point of view, various classes of finite difference schemes for time-dependent problems of mathematical physics are analyzed.  相似文献

In this paper, some reduced finite difference schemes based on a proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) technique for parabolic equations are derived. Also the error estimates between the POD approximate solutions of the reduced finite difference schemes and the exact solutions for parabolic equations are established. It is shown by considering the results of two numerical examples that the numerical results are consistent with theoretical conclusions. Moreover, it is also shown that the POD reduced finite difference schemes are feasible and efficient.  相似文献

The existence of positive solutions for a nonlocal boundary-value problem with vector-valued response is investigated. We develop duality and variational principles for this problem. Our variational approach enables us to approximate solutions and give a measure of a duality gap between the primal and dual functional for minimizing sequences.  相似文献

A model partial integro-differential operator (PIDO) that contains both local and nonlocal diffusion operators is considered in this article. This type of operators come in modeling various scientific and financial engineering problems. In most cases, people use finite difference schemes to generate solutions of such model problems. We compare and analyze stability and accuracy of two such finite difference schemes. We first present a discrete analogue of the PIDO and then approximate the semi-discrete time dependent problem using two different one step methods and show the stability conditions and the accuracy of the schemes. We use the Fourier transforms throughout our analysis.  相似文献

In this paper, a right‐hand side identification problem for a parabolic equation with an overdetermined condition on an observation point is considered. A first and second order of accuracy difference schemes are constructed for obtaining approximate solutions of the problem that arises in two‐phase flow in capillaries. Stability estimates and numerical results are also established. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper examines heat conduction in a thermistor used as a current surge regulator. The problem consists of coupled nonlinear, nonlocal parabolic initial boundary value problems. Simplifying assumptions are made which lead to two different problems each of which consists of a one (space) dimensional nonlocal parabolic initial boundary value problem.Numerical methods for the approximate solutions of both the steady state and the transient problems are described and the results of the numerical experiments are presented.  相似文献

The nonlocal boundary value problem for a hyperbolic–elliptic equation in a Hilbert space is considered. The stability estimate for the solution of the given problem is obtained. The first and second orders of difference schemes approximately solving this boundary value problem are presented. The stability estimates for the solution of these difference schemes are established. ABSTRACT

The existence of a countable set of positive solutions for a nonlocal boundary-value problem with vector-valued response is investigated by some variational methods based on the idea of the Fenchel conjugate. As a consequence of a duality developed here, we obtain the existence of a countable set of solutions for our problem that are minimizers to a certain integral functional. We derive (also in the superlinear case) a measure of a duality gap between primal and dual functional for approximate solutions.  相似文献

In a Hilbert space, we consider an abstract linear parabolic equation defined on an interval with a nonlocal weighted integral condition imposed on the solution. This problem is solved approximately by a projection-difference method with the use of the implicit Euler method in the time variable. The approximation to the problem in the spatial variables is developed with the finite element method in mind. An estimate of the approximate solution is obtained, the convergence of the approximate solutions to the exact solution is proved, and the error estimates, as well as the orders of the rate of convergence, are established.  相似文献

The first‐order of accuracy difference scheme for approximately solving the multipoint nonlocal boundary value problem for the differential equation in a Hilbert space H, with self‐adjoint positive definite operator A is presented. The stability estimates for the solution of this difference scheme are established. In applications, the stability estimates for the solution of difference schemes of the mixed type boundary value problems for hyperbolic–parabolic equations are obtained. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The general finite difference schemes with intrinsic parallelism for the boundary value problem of the semilinear parabolic system of divergence type with bounded measurable coefficients is studied. By the approach of the discrete functional analysis, the existence and uniqueness of the discrete vector solutions of the nonlinear difference system with intrinsic parallelism are proved. Moreover the unconditional stability of the general difference schemes with intrinsic parallelism justified in the sense of the continuous dependence of the discrete vector solution of the difference schemes on the discrete initial data of the original problems in the discrete W_2~(2,1) (Q△) norms. Finally the convergence of the discrete vector solutions of the certain difference schemes with intrinsic parallelism to the unique generalized solution of the original semilinear parabolic problem is proved.  相似文献

Summary. Explicit finite difference schemes are given for a collection of parabolic equations which may have all of the following complex features: degeneracy, quasilinearity, full nonlinearity, and singularities. In particular, the equation of “motion by mean curvature” is included. The schemes are monotone and consistent, so that convergence is guaranteed by the general theory of approximation of viscosity solutions of fully nonlinear problems. In addition, an intriguing new type of nonlocal problem is analyzed which is related to the schemes, and another very different sort of approximation is presented as well. A kind of the general finite difference schemes with intrinsic parallelism forthe boundary value problem of the quasilinear parabolic system is studied without assum-ing heuristically that the original boundary value problem has the unique smooth vectorsolution. By the method of a priori estimation of the discrete solutions of the nonlineardifference systems, and the interpolation formulas of the various norms of the discretefunctions and the fixed-point technique in finite dimensional Euclidean space, the exis-tence and uniqueness of the discrete vector solutions of the nonlinear difference systemwith intrinsic parallelism are proved. The boundary value problem for nonlinear parabolic system is solved by the finite difference method with intrinsic parallelism. The existence of the discrete vector solution for the general finite difference schemes with intrinsic parallelism is proved by the fixed-point technique in finite-dimensional Euclidean space. The convergence and stability theorems of the discrete vector solutions of the nonlinear difference system with intrinsic parallelism are proved. The limitation vector function is just the unique generalized solution of the original problem for the parabolic system.  相似文献
