A tensor method for the derivation of the equations of rigid body dynamics,based onthe concepts of continuum mechanics,is presented.The formula of time derivative of theinertia tensor with zero corotational rate is used to prove the equivalences of five methods,namely,Lagrange’s equations,Nielsen’s equations,Gibbs-Appell’s equations,Kane’sequations and the generalized momentum type of Kane’s equations.Some differentialidentities on angular velocity and angular acceleration are given.  相似文献

In this paper, the definitions of Nielsen’s and Euler’s operators of higher order are presented. These operators are concerned in analysis for systems with holonomic constraints and non-holonomic constraints of higher order. Some theorems that indicating relation between the two operators are established. Moreover, using the theorems, the new equations of mechanical systems with constraints of higher order are derived. In 1904, using the energy integral Whittaker studied the reduction of a dynamical problem to a problem with fewer degrees of freedom for the holonomic conservative systems and obtained the Whittaker equation[1].In this article, Whittaker equations are extended to non-holonomic systems and the generalized Whittaker equations are obtained. In this paper, a direct probabilistic approach (DPA) is presented to formulate and solve moment equations for nonlinear systems excited by environmental loads that can be either a stationary or nonstationary random process. The proposed method has the advantage of obtaining the response’s moments directly from the initial conditions and statistical characteristics of the corresponding external exci-tations. First, the response’s moment equations are directly derived based on a DPA, which is completely independent of the It?/filtering approach since no specific assumptions regarding the correlation structure of excitation are made. By solving them under Gaussian closure, the response’s moments can be obtained. Subsequently, a multiscale algo-rithm for the numerical solution of moment equations is exploited to improve computational efficiency and avoid much wall-clock time. Finally, a comparison of the results with Monte Carlo (MC) simulation gives good agreement. Furthermore, the advantage of the multiscale algorithm in terms of efficiency is also demonstrated by an engineering example.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the dynamics of a spacecraft with multi-strut passive damper for large flexible appendage.The damper platform is connected to the spacecraft by a spheric hinge,multiple damping struts and a rigid strut.The damping struts provide damping forces while the rigid strut produces a motion constraint of the multibody system.The exact nonlinear dynamical equations in reducedorder form are firstly derived by using Kane’s equation in matrix form.Based on the assumptions of small velocity and small displacement,the nonlinear equations are reduced to a set of linear second-order differential equations in terms of independent generalized displacements with constant stiffness matrix and damping matrix related to the damping strut parameters.Numerical simulation results demonstrate the damping effectiveness of the damper for both the motion of the spacecraft and the vibration of the flexible appendage,and verify the accuracy of the linear equations against the exact nonlinear ones.  相似文献

This paper presents a new and simplified set of explicit equations of motion for constrained mechanical systems. The equations are applicable with both holonomic and nonholonomic systems and the constraints may, or may not, be ideal. It is shown that this set of equations is equivalent to governing equations developed earlier by others. The connection of these equations with Kane's equations is discussed. It is shown that the developed equations are directly applicable with controlled systems where the controlling forces and moments may be subject to constraints. Finally, a procedure is presented for determining which control force systems are equivalent. Examples are presented to demonstrate the advantages, features, and range of application of the equations.  相似文献

The paper proposes computer algebra system (CAS) algorithms for computer-assisted derivation of the equations of motion for systems of rigid bodies with holonomic and nonholonomic constraints that are linear with respect to the generalized velocities.
